[13 pages of conversation anchored in Matthew 25:14-30 from the lectionary readings for 24 Pentecost on 15 Nov 20]

Matthew 25:14 “For it is as if a man, going on a journey, summoned his slaves and entrusted [!] his property to them;

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” Psalm 105:15, 1 Chronicles 16:22 NASB

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Do we understand that the very things that are happening in our country could be the result of our prayers – not an attack against them?[1]

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): I see the sons of God being bold and rising up in this hour. They do not compromise the Word of God or water down God’s Holy message. What they deliver cuts, divides, mends, and restores.[2]

David Baroni: “You Took Me Out of Egypt” [https://youtu.be/EToVOXLfxv4]

Katie Barker (12 Nov 20): Recently I heard the Lord say, “My faithful remnant is preparing for the time of restart and relaunch that is coming. They have embraced the time of reset and have come into closer alignment with My heart, Word and ways during this time.[3]

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): These are the ones who defy the ways of the world and only honor the ways of the Lord. They rule in the seen realm, in power and dominion. They are the ones who walk in maturity, have a sound mind, and a righteous indignation towards injustices and sin.

Matthew 25:15 to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.

Katie Barker (12 Nov 20): “The time of relaunch will see course correction come to the lives of many as they partner with Me in faith, obedience and Spirit led prayer and intercession. I desire to bring course correction not only to individuals but to regions and nations. This is the era of divine intervention, and I am coming to overturn injustices and bring restoration and recompense to My people as they rise up and partner with Me.

Matthew 25:16 The one who had received the five talents went off at once and traded with them, and made five more talents.

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): These are the sons of God. I hear the Lord say, “They find Me in the secret place, the place of intercession, the places of travail, the place of My Glory, My Holy presence. They have a roar inside them and refuse to be tamed by man. They wear no muzzle or leash. They live their lives to LIVE for Me.”

Israel365 (12 Nov 20): Gamal: An Independent Beast. The Hebrew word for ‘camel’ is gamal (גמל), which also means ‘to be independent.’

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): They may be perfect for us — they play to our strengths, fit with what we love and what energizes us. Or they may be good mirrors that help us see places we’re still healing.

Matthew 25:17 In the same way, the one who had the two talents made two more talents.

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): They cause the demons to shake, tremble, and flee. They are not afraid of darkness, instead they go into the darkest corridors to emit the Light of Jesus’ love. They are the ones who go out to set captives free and release the chains.

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): They can show us when we’re uncomfortable in that awkward middle place of healing, where we’ve let go of so much brokenness but haven’t yet fully learned wholeness. We want to just get on with our lives already (!!)

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): Favor, mercy, and grace abound to them. They have hidden themselves in the shelter of God Almighty! They do not cave in and give up. There is great endurance and perseverance that flow in their veins. They live a life of knowing they are overcomers and stand in victory. They live in purity, holiness, and have clean hands. They have the fear of the Lord and give reverence to their King.

David Baroni: Lord I love the gifts You’ve given me
But I love the Giver more
And to worship You more perfectly
That’s what those gifts are for

Matthew 25:18 But the one who had received the one talent went off and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

The Rev. Caleb Tabor (13 Nov 20): … Giving thanks is an important function in an overall story about Jesus pulling a switch on us by transcending our prejudices. That borderland between Galilee and Samaria is a powerful metaphor for the reader if we take the time to look deeply and contextually. It is the border between the people we like and the people we fear. That border is everywhere in this world. It is everywhere because is exists primarily in human hearts, and just plays itself out in ways that diminish, hurt, ruin, and even end human lives. I’ll bet you more money than I’ve got that each and every one of us has that border in our own hearts too. [4]

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: Zephaniah proclaims the truth that people in his day and our own have exchanged for a lie: life is beyond our control! And the more we try to control it, the more uncontrollable it becomes.[5]

Romans 12:28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Six years ago, I released the word below which, now, has even greater significance for our nation. As we watch and pray concerning the election outcome, God is doing a deep work in our own hearts.  This process is taking a while for a reason…

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: The slaves who take their gifts and use them to offer other creative, elaborate, and much-needed blessings in the world around them are rewarded when the master returns. But the one who takes what has been given to him and hoards it up only for himself is condemned.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Things seemed to go from bad to worse for a period of time.

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): They can show us where we’re still acting from a place of finding our worth outside ourselves. That makes sense after being with someone who told us they alone defined our worth, but it’s not a life-giving plan for us now.

Matthew 25:19 After a long time the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): If we are praying for America to “wake up”, why are some praying that the shaking would stop? If we are asking the Lord to expose the darkness, why should we be surprised – or fearful – when the darkness comes out of hiding, even to our own front doors? If we truly understand God’s larger redemptive purposes in the shaking, our prayers should reflect the heart of a loving Father. If we can look beyond the immediate crisis and into His eternal plan, we can see how He is at work in very powerful ways.

Patheos (11 Nov 20): The McCarrick Report: The Vatican Owns Up To Enabling Abuse

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: Sound familiar?

Shalini Aurora Muthusamy: If you have ever done a detox, it’s neither pretty or fun. It can be quite gruesome, painful and downright ugly at times.

Zephaniah 1:12 At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the people who rest complacently on their dregs, those who say in their hearts, “The LORD will not do good, nor will he do harm.”

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): There is a changing of the guards. There is a divide and separation of The sons of God from the men of the world. There is a company of people who will not back down or back away to satisfy the ears of people. They are steadfast and have taken the narrow road.

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): When addressing the super apostles that were coming against Paul’s ministry to the Corinthian church and soliciting them for notoriety and greed, Paul counters their boasting by providing an account of his sufferings as an Apostle of Christ, saying, “Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one- I am talking like a madman- with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journey, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches…if I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.” (2 Corinthians 11:23-28,30) He goes on later to say, “For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:30)[6]

Holly Watson (11 Nov 20): Going Through the Swamp

2 Corinthians 11:29 Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?

Brat: Why did you leave out that verse?  That’s been my experience as well.  Empathy in Immanuel (God with us).

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): When hindrances and sideline attacks show up, they see an opportunity to go deeper into the depths of God to immerse in His loving kindness. They do not magnify the circumstance, they Magnify The Lord Jehovah- Nissi- God my banner!  When the enemy attempts to delay, they let their faith arise and their enemies be scattered. They are the ones who let their faith soar high above the noise. They perch themselves high up in the heavenly places.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Every time Pharaoh said “no”, God had another opportunity to DEMONSTRATE to His people just how powerful He was. In every plague, His power overshadowed the principalities and spiritual rulers over that nation. He was showing His people, by example, how His power and love was greater than the foreign gods they had begun to embrace.

David Baroni: Lord You took me out of Egypt
Now take Egypt out of me
You delivered me from Pharaoh now set me free from me
Let my heart become a promised land
Where the desert used to be
Lord You took me out of Egypt
Now take Egypt out of me

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): New opportunities can also show us the scariest thing of all: we are ready.

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): They are walking in obedience. There is a drive on the inside of them that only God can satisfy. They are filled up with the rivers of heaven and they burn with the fires of justice. They expel darkness in regions and nations. They expose demonic powers in operation and they crush the heads of the enemies. They are David strong and with one focused sling they knock giants out.[7]

Matthew 25:20 Then the one who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five more talents, saying, ‘Master, you handed over to me five talents; see, I have made five more talents.’

Katie Barker (12 Nov 20): “The relaunch will see My remnant unite in a greater way, for they will arise and restart as a company of one voice, one heart and one purpose as they have their eyes fixed on Me.

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): When you get to that place in your healing where you want to take on 25 new projects, stop, breathe, and ask yourself: “Does this match who I’m becoming?”  If it’s not a resounding yes, listen; that’s your good instints getting stronger.

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): These are the ones who usher in great changes, great movements, and have their hands to the plows. They tear down and build. They incline their ears to hear and open their eyes to see. They know where their help comes from and do not lean on their own understandings. They are the ones consecrated to God’s Word and do not disregard or dilute it to save a fleeting feeling. They edify and speak truth into the hearts of others.

Brat to Victoria Boyson (08 Nov 20): I love the story of the giant jam sandwich and the wasps!  “The Day of the Lord” 07 Nov 20. [[8]] God bless you and protect your family!!  What I see that the Seven Churches need is leadership like apostles that share the blueprint vision.  (Ephesus determined that they were false, Rev 2:2.)  The Seven Churches should be working together like the spokes of wheels of a chariot.  I appreciate your prayers, too.  There IS a disconnect in the Church!  But, the Lord does a checkmate.  I’m not sure how, but I am certain that He will come through.

Katie Barker (12 Nov 20): “In the time of reset that which is false, fake or distorted is being exposed and an invitation for submission, repentance and alignment has been extended to My people. In the time of restart, that which is real and genuine will be highlighted and exalted. The separated ones, My faithful remnant, who have been found ready, will walk in real love, displaying what it means to be a true disciple of Christ. Those who truly burn with love for Me will see Me open wide the path before them. Those who walk in humility and fear of the Lord will be raised up by My hand.”

Matthew 25:21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): God’s ultimate goal is not our happiness or even our deliverance.
His ultimate goal is to REVEAL HIS GLORY.

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): They carry the heart of God.

Lana Vawser (12 Nov 20): One of the greatest tests of this new era will be the stewardship of increase and acceleration.

Matthew 25:22 And the one with the two talents also came forward, saying, ‘Master, you handed over to me two talents; see, I have made two more talents.’

Katie Barker (12 Nov 20): “They have a variety of expressions, as I have made each one unique, but they will arise as one – in unity, not competition – as they will carry My heart, message and vision. They will be a voice of truth, preparing the way. They will hold the vision of My plans and purposes and will partner with Me to see My will established. They will lead others to Me and will live to see My name glorified and My Kingdom advance. They will relaunch from a place of greater unity as they understand the power of My Body working together as one. They have humble servant hearts and will be a light in the darkness. They will take up their Kingdom assignments and lay down their own agendas, knowing the significance of the hour.

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): -And these are the Sons Of God!

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14 KJV

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: Well, as it turns out, Jesus was a preacher after Zephaniah’s own heart. He tells a parable about slaves who are given gifts in different amounts. And although we are quick to equate these so-called talents with money, the parable could just as easily have spoken of kindness or creativity or generosity.

Zephaniah 1:13 Their wealth shall be plundered, and their houses laid waste. Though they build houses, they shall not inhabit them; though they plant vineyards, they shall not drink wine from them.

Brat: That’s true in the cyber realm of the creative arts, which includes these dialogues.

Bill Yount: The Eagle Has Landed to Stir Up Our Spiritual Gifts and Talents

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): New opportunities keep coming, no matter where we are in our healing.

Matthew 25:23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’

Holly Watson (11 Nov 20): But before I go any further, I sense Holy Spirit nudging us to rehearse some of what’s been spoken through our ministry. Remember, we know in part and we prophesy in part (1 Corinthians 13:9). Each prophet holds a key for portraying the full council of God according to His times and seasons. If one piece of revelation is dismissed or omitted from portraying the Father’s heart, the people can perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): God chose not to deliver His people immediately…. ON PURPOSE.

Matthew 25:24 Then the one who had received the one talent also came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew that you were a harsh man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed;

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): Paul demonstrated both confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ and humility. He demonstrated boldness in His call from Christ while exhibiting brokenness before the Lord, rejoicing in trials and tribulations. When we look at the history of the early church and the lives of the Apostles of Christ, eleven of the twelve were martyred. They counted the cost of their lives as worthy for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ. What strikes me in these passages is that Paul did not revile those nor did he instruct them not to touch him due to the anointing on him from God. He was bold in his speech towards them as they were false apostles who were deceiving the Corinthian church, undermining what Paul had taught them and calling Paul’s apostleship into question, which had been granted by Christ Jesus Himself. He never said to them, “Touch not the anointed and do God’s prophets no harm.”

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): God not only used the ungodly authority in the land…He hardened it!

Matthew 25:25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.’

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): What’s facing you right now? What’s your response showing you?

David Baroni: Lord I feel so empty seems like we’re so far apart
Even tho’ some may applaud me, You alone can see my heart
You don’t look at my achievements or my ability
All You really want is all of me
And though it frightens me to give my control
There is only room for one King
In the throne room of my soul

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: If we can find a way to sort through all of the advertising and the marketing and the perception, we arrive at the truth that both Zephaniah and Jesus are desperately trying to tell: Our vocation is not to try to be in control in the universe; no, our vocation as followers of the God we meet in Jesus is to share the abundance of grace and mercy and love that has been entrusted to us.

Brat: So, why were you silent when I shared with you?

The Rev. Caleb Tabor (13 Nov 20): Keeping their distance. Maybe because they were sick and didn’t want to get Jesus sick, but that doesn’t seem like a right reading to me since they are asking for the rabbi’s mercy. More to me it seems like maybe they have been harassed by others and were afraid to get close to anyone, not the least a community leader or a religious figure. A lot of people presently stay away from Jesus because they’ve been hurt by the communities that gather in his name.

Verse of the Day (13 Nov 20): 1 Peter 2:15-16

15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.

Molly Baskette (13 Nov 20): We are more polarized than ever, as a people, but there is a way back to each other. It depends upon us being the kind of people who can have direct, compassionate communication with those who think differently from us … but more than this, it depends upon those who seek to govern treating every one of us with dignity and respect. As if our voices, our needs, our longings, our strengths and frailties, our work, our bodily autonomy, our disabilities, our marriages, our lives matter.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): God’s people were in bondage and began to cry out for deliverance.

Holly Watson (11 Nov 20): On August 25, 2020 the Lord clearly said to me: “The only way out of the swamp is to go through it. The conditions of the swamp are for enforcing the rise of the whistle blowers. The experience of navigating through the swamp is exposing the lying spirits operating throughout the land. The draining of the swamp is separating the wheat from the tares. And the debris [toxic words, false accusations, lying spirits, demonic agendas] of the swamp is reinstating the reign of justice and liberty in the land.”

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): By the time the Israelites left Egypt, the fear of the Lord was upon every surrounding nation (Joshua 2:9-11, Numbers 14:14, Exodus 15:14-18). The glory of the Lord was known and feared because of what He did through the trials of Israel. THAT was His ultimate goal and plan. He demonstrated to the world that He is able to deliver His people and set them free from every kind of bondage and redeem all things unto Himself!

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): The verse in question is in reference to the kings and the prophets in the time of Israel. David sang this song after he entered Jerusalem with the ark of the covenant. He was giving thanks to God, recalling God’s promises and protection over the people of Israel, which were the anointed ones, particularly the kings. This is the reason why David says in 1 Samuel 24:6 that he would not ever lift his hand against Saul since he was the Lord’s anointed. Notice the word touch as well from the passage featured. When you study this in its context, this means to do physical harm. This in no way means to verbally test questionable teaching.

Rabbi Shaul Leiter (12 Nov 20): “WE Are the Emissaries!” (Chayei Sarah 5781)

Romans 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in,

Patheos (12 Nov 20): The McCarrick Report and the Judgment of the Church

Revelation 2:23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

Rabbi Shaul Leiter (12 Nov 20): The foundation of Judaism is that G-d gave the Jewish people 613 mitzvot (commandments) that they are obligated to fulfill. Through these commandments, we elevate the world spiritually, make it a better place to live physically, and prepare it for the arrival of Mashiach (the Messiah). During the Era of Mashiach – may it come soon – everyone will receive their just reward for the efforts they made to help make it happen. Each of us has a lot to do before Mashiach arrives.

Zephaniah 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, near and hastening fast; the sound of the day of the LORD is bitter, the warrior cries aloud there.

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: The day of the Lord that Zephaniah and Jesus proclaim does not have to be a doom-and-gloom, end-of-the-world scenario. For those who receive their God-given gifts with humility and then go and share them with the world, the day of the Lord is a day of rejoicing – a day when our world that has long been turned upside-down by greed and oppression and hate will be set right by peace and justice and love.

Brat: I shared with you and you did nothing.

Helen Cobanov (11 Nov 20): What we are feeling now is PRESSURE in the spiritual atmosphere as this wave from Heaven is rising up against the enemy. I heard the words “high pressure.” Higher pressure is breaking through.[9]

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): I hope that this helps you today because you may have heard this said to you or others at some point, or maybe you have said it. I heard this passage used out of context, but I did not realize it was out of context. This particular Bible verse is misappropriated at times when calling teaching into question against Scripture, and it should encourage us to understand this passage in context because despite its use to potentially deter critical reasoning, this passage does not mean what we may think that it means.

The Rev. Caleb Tabor (13 Nov 20): …This is not an invitation to make peace with injustice and it isn’t a “bothsidesism.” It is a plea not to forget the humanity of the people you hate, dislike, or fear. Robbing someone of their humanity is easier than you think. Often, it isn’t a drastic step, but rather a series of little moves that takes us down a truly cruel path. In this story we get an invitation to break the dehumanizing cycle we trap one another in. May we be wise enough to accept it.

Brat: I have been a recipient of this kind of treatment of having my humanity robbed by the Church.  It is my prayer and intention to break this dehumanizing cycle, as God is my witness.

Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Sarah was a strong, self-confident woman, spiritual teacher and leader, gifted with prophetic vision and clarity, even beyond that of her prophet husband, Abraham. We are all blessed with the potential for this level of humility and relationship with G-d as our inheritance from Sarah.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): God’s people were freed only AFTER He sifted and purified their own hearts and lives of the idolatry and compromise that had infected them.

Shalini Aurora Muthusamy: America is going through a Detox!

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): Despite the verse stating to “do prophets no harm”, the prophets were harmed and killed. This statement was directed at kings encountering Israel as they wandered from nation to nation. However, the prophets were harmed by their own people since these men carried words of repentance and judgment due to Israel’s continuous idolatry and spiritual infidelity and rebellion to God.  After taking a look at this passage, we can see how unfruitful it is to misappropriate Scripture.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Romans 3:12 They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not, so much as one

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: At the core of Zephaniah’s prophetic poetry is a message so shockingly clear that it all but slaps us in the face. The people of Zephaniah’s day thought that God was an irrelevant relic of a bygone era, whose supremacy has once-and-for-all been eclipsed by the attainment of the pinnacle of human knowledge. Those who lived in Zephaniah’s day considered themselves free to do and act as they pleased, looking out chiefly for themselves, and then—and only then—maybe, if they got around to it, they might consider doing something magnanimous for someone else – because it would make them feel good.

David Baroni: Lord You took me out of Egypt
Now take Egypt out of me
You delivered me from Pharaoh now set me free from me
Let my heart become a promised land
Where the desert used to be
Lord You took me out of Egypt
Now take Egypt out of me

Romans 11:26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

Matthew 25:26 But his master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy slave! You knew, did you, that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter?

Shalini Aurora Muthusamy: This generation has never seen such events unfolding as they have this year. All the places where we secretly or subconsciously put our hope and faith in, are being or have been destroyed. In other words, America’s idols are falling.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Our national gods of greed, power, humanism, and independence are being shattered and exposed for what they are – meaningless counterfeits and corrupted copies of God’s intended blessings and rightful inheritance for His sons and daughters. God will use WHATEVER IT TAKES to set us free. Our freedom is not just a national anthem. It is a spiritual reality that must settled and secured – whatever the price.

Matthew 25:27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received what was my own with interest.

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: We are commanded to plant seeds of generosity, knowing full well that we may never see a return on our investment. We are commanded to show kindness to people who don’t deserve it. We are commanded to love those who try their hardest to be unlovable and to forgive those who have gone out of their way to be unforgivable.

Wendy Alec (in “Draw Out” 09 Nov 20): Our wonderful Father said, “Beloved daughter, tell My beloveds, firstly, that this is not that. This is not that. This is not the tribulation. This is not the time of the anti-Christ, but it is the precursor. Tell My beloveds, alert My sons and daughters that My Church has now entered the outskirts; the tremblings of the end of the age.[10]

Brat (10 Nov 20): Dear GOD! My heart weeps for those that come after us if this is NOT the tribulation!!  No one should have to ever go through this time of hell!  Ever again!!

Revelation 15:And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): It has been suggested that every one of the ten plagues that God released upon Egypt corresponded to one of Egypt’s “gods”(click here for related article). As a loving, Heavenly Father, God saw the condition of the people’s hearts. Their lives had been corrupted by Egypt’s influence and He needed to cleanse them of the infectious beliefs and customs they had begun to embrace. Though they were crying out, “Rescue me!”, the Lord was saying, “Believe in me!” The people were only concerned with getting OUT. The Lord’s concern was getting them FREE.

Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: For the best results start with the most difficult task first. The Rebbe wrote to someone who suggested putting off a certain task, “In today’s age, any concept of waiting merely means that for now, there is a certainty that nothing will be done. It has no other value”.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Through every plague and disaster, He was cleansing and purifying their hearts and beliefs. In so doing, they were not only being prepared physically, but spiritually and mentally, for the freedom that was to come.

Wendy Alec (in “Draw Out” 09 Nov 20): “The enemy has endeavored to preempt My divine timeline, but he will fail just as he has failed so many times before. His last all-out attempt was in the times of Hitler. I not only circumvented it, but through the cries and prayers of My saints, the enemy’s plans to destroy My people through the Holocaust were turned on their head and the nation of Israel was born in a day.

Brat: If the first thousand years was from Charlemagne through the Middle Ages and into the Reformation and the Enlightenment, then wouldn’t the “short time” that Satan was released after that include the Holocaust?

Revelation 20:3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

Brat: That would mean that the Thousand Years are completed and it is our bickering that is extending the time where we should be ushering in God’s Kingdom and not deferring its hope.

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: The more we try and anesthetize ourselves into believing that we’ve got it all figured out, the deeper the truth cuts when the facts are laid bare.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): Speaking the truth is one thing – demonstrating the Truth with power is even better. Instead of praying for a quick resolution, we should be praying to be vessels and conduits of His glory.  You and I, my friends, are the carriers of true freedom and liberty. Let’s rejoice in the fact that we have been chosen and prepared for this hour when all the world will see His glory revealed. It will be totally worth any delay.

Rabbi Shaul Leiter (12 Nov 20): Based on the above urgency, you will be happy to know that it is possible to make another person your emissary to fulfill a commandment!

Rebekah Kerry Hudson (10 Nov 20): They are like Paul and Silas, when the accuser comes with accusations and forms cases against them, they do not become silent and regress. No, they start to sing praises to The Lamb of God, The King of Kings, and The Lord of Lords! The earth begins to shake in response on their behalf and the doors swing wide open and every trial is violently disrupted and overturned! Who can stop the Lord Almighty who sits on His throne! No one can stop the promises for His sons and daughters!

Zephaniah 1:7 Be silent before the Lord GOD! For the day of the LORD is at hand; the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, he has consecrated his guests.

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: But hold on a second. Zephaniah is a tiny, three-chapter, minor prophet, wedged in near the end of the Hebrew Bible. In the entire three-year cycle of the lectionary, we hear a reading from it three times. Most of us probably can’t remember ever hearing a sermon preached on Zephaniah, so can he really be all that important?

Rabbi Shaul Leiter (12 Nov 20): The Rebbe taught that there is a lesson here for each of us.

Wanda Alger (12 Nov 20): God carefully orchestrated and prepared godly leadership to bring them out.

Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly: The question is: what will we do with all that has been given to us? Will we keep it locked up and hidden away under the bed? Or will we take a risk and open our hearts to share it openly and freely and radically with the world? Amen.

Brat to Rev. Dr. Marshall A. Jolly (12 Nov 20): Sharing radically with you: “Draw Out” 09 Nov 20

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): The past two weeks brought me some exciting new opportunities… which totally freaked me out. I went through pro and con lists, looked at my calendar to see if I could reasonably do them, asked family. The clincher came when I sat down and asked myself: “Does this match who I’m becoming?”

Matthew 25:28 So take the talent from him, and give it to the one with the ten talents.

Lovesick Scribe (11 Nov 20): I would like to encourage you further with the Word of God today. 1 John 2:20 helps us as believers to know that there are no haves and have nots when it comes to God’s anointing. The anointing is given to all believers. John 14:16 says that believers in Christ are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 states that believers have been anointed by Christ. There is no mention of a particular class of believers being more anointed than the other. Let this truth comfort you, and above all, focus on Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. The Word of God brings truth to light, and there is freedom in knowing the truth in accordance with Scripture, and the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth.

Matthew 25:29 For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.

When Light Came In (11 Nov 20): It does. Shit. Woohoo! I’m in! …am I really ready? All of the above. Yes, I’m ready. And even more, I’ve checked in with my heart and it’s ready too.

Change.org (12 Nov 20): Grey Wolves should be put back on the endangered species list.

Matthew 25:30 As for this worthless slave, throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Brat: Doesn’t St. Francis have something to say about that?

Best of Patheos (12 Nov 20): Death To The Status Quo!

Romans 12:29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.

Shalini Aurora Muthusamy: Detoxes are not pretty but purging is so necessary to get cleaned up – to get back on track so that we can be pure carriers of God’s glory as a nation, once again.

David Baroni: Blessed are the pure in heart
For they shall see the Lord
But eyes that only look to earth
Will lose the rich reward
Of the fellowship eternal the blissful unity
Of the ones who live in Jesus
And no longer serve King Me
