MercyMe: “Dear Younger Me” [https://youtu.be/-l70C3ePyIQ]

Israel365 (30 July 20): Return us to the days of old ✡ “Raise a shout, Fair Yerushalayim! Lo, your king is coming to you”

MercyMe: Dear younger me

Where do I start

If I could tell you everything that I have learned so far

Then you could be

One step ahead

Of all the painful memories still running thru my head

I wonder how much different things would be

Dear younger me,

Darren Canning (30 July 20): When I was a child I understood that story much differently than I do today. Today I am acquainted with the power and person of Christ. I know God. I have seen His hand move in my life. I understand Him a little better than when I was young. I still have so much to learn but I walk with Him and I talk with Him now.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): “This is the hour, this is the era where MY Name is going to be lifted high in the earth. This is the hour where I will be revealed as the King of Glory (Psalm 24:7-9). This is the hour where I am going to reveal and reintroduce the Church to My power. This is the hour where I am going to move in mighty ways and there will be outstanding unprecedented demonstrations of My miraculous power, but I am grieved for many in My Church are HUNGRY FOR POWER. They seek Me for what My hand can provide. They seek Me for My revelation so they may rule and reign, but this is the hour where I am bringing My people into a place of greater humility and purity in the stewardship of gifting, anointing and mantles and bringing My people into the higher place of understanding their position of being seated with Me (Ephesians 2:6) and ruling and reigning with Me. Too many in My Church are trying to hold onto the reigns. Too many are refusing to let go of the reigns, and I continue to call, I continue to embrace these ones and call them into right alignment with Me but they refuse to hear. Out of My love I continue to speak, I continue to draw them but their fingers are in their ears and they don’t want to hear. I am longing and desperately calling My Church in this selah time into the place of deeper alignment with Me in intimacy as My friends, but many will not hear. Many are refusing to respond. This is the hour to go deep in Psalm 139:23-24 but many refuse to come. They are driven by selfish gain. This is the hour where I am calling My people deeper into the place of intimacy and friendship with Me and in this place there will be a greater tenderising of the heart, a deeper wisdom released and a deeper preparation by My Spirit to partner with Me in what is to come. What I am going to do on the earth. This is an hour of repentance and My eyes are roaming the earth looking for those who are in the place of repentance and stewarding with purity so that I may release upon them greater revelation of the strategy, wisdom of My heart and power to carry My Glory in the new thing I am doing (Isaiah 43)[1]

1 Samuel 4:14 Eli heard the outcry and asked, “What is the meaning of this uproar?”

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): For the past few years, believers have consistently quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14 as the benchmark for national repentance. But, there is a backdrop and context to this verse that should challenge us in how we judge the present crises we face as a nation.[2]

Darren Canning (30 July 20): As a child I used to be afraid for the Israelites and for Moses. I remember reading about Moses’ first encounter with Pharaoh, and how he was rejected. I remember being overwhelmed for Moses when Pharaoh doubled the work for the Israelites. I could imagine Moses being beaten by His people for this. I remember fearing for Moses. I remember thinking would he survive. I felt fear for him.

Diane Lake (30 July 20): First I was given Romans 11:11, the context for which is a key passage concerning the restoration of Israel. The rest of the Scriptures concerned salvation—Hebrews 9:16-28, Romans 10:9 and Romans 5:8. As I prayed into this, the dots began to connect because praying for Israel’s salvation is a vital aspect to releasing the harvest, and actually a message the Lord revealed to me years ago. [3]

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): The Lord had me write this prophetic word because I heard the Lord say “Write down what I am saying because I am calling out AGAIN. I am calling out AGAIN for repentance, for a letting go of sin, of spiritual prostitution, of impure stewardship and pride in the heart. I am calling out again. Repent! For My Glory is coming, it is coming, it is coming, it is coming, and those that will house My Glory will be those that have clean hands and pure hearts (Psalm 24:4) and those that have stewarded with purity out of deep friendship with Me.

Rabbi Shaul Leiter: Traditionally, the first five commandments (believing in one G-d, the prohibition of idol worship, not using G-d ’s name inappropriately, keeping Shabbat and honoring parents) are considered commandments between G-d and man, while the final five (not to kill, commit adultery, steal, give false testimony and crave others’ possessions) are between man and man. Why is the fifth commandment of honoring our parents, something at least ostensibly between man and man, in the first section?

Diane Lake (30 July 20): In another recent encounter, the Lord reminded me that a critical key to unlocking the harvest He plans is to pray for the nation of Israel. Again, I awoke one night to an unusually clear and distinct revelation. I heard the Lord say, “People that pray for Israel receive a special blessing,” and then a series of specific Scripture quotations and references were given to me (see Gen. 12:3).

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): It’s in THIS context that the Lord responds in the next chapter with our oft-quoted verse:

At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (2 Chronicles 7:13-14 ESV)

Darren Canning (30 July 20): The Israelites in Egypt had experienced a great deliverance. They watched as the Lord sent the great plagues upon that earthly Kingdom until its power was left tattered and in rags. The mighty pharaoh who was worshipped as God was powerless to the power of God. I love the story of Moses journeying back to Egypt to set the people free.

Brat: Were you listening? Those are two different stories within different contexts.  Where’s the accountability?

Genesis 32:22 The same night he got up and took his two wives, his two maids, and his eleven children, and crossed the ford of the Jabbok.

Diane Lake (30 July 20): No matter how much I write it seems like there’s this preparation phase, and then the execution stage. I first have to posture myself to hear the Lord, stay prayerful, study the Word, do research, and finally—when the time is right—write. Revival and harvest are like that too. God has a purpose and a plan for harvest, but He has chosen His Body, the Church, to help Him first prepare for it and then execute it.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): Moses could not see the full destiny of His people. He couldn’t even begin to understand the full promise that God had for them. He just did His part and God helped Him to do it. As we step into the places He has for us His supernatural power will manifest. We have to step into it. We don’t have to do much else. His power is what will get the job done. Moses was just a conduit through which He worked.

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): Solomon told the Lord to give His people what their choices and actions “deserve” – good or bad. He does not ask God to bless the people without merit or to overlook any future bad choices out of mercy. Instead, he asks God to follow through with any negative consequences of sin committed by His people – SO THAT they will learn the fear of the Lord.

MercyMe: Dear younger me I cannot decide

Do I give some speech about how to get the most out of your life

Or do I go deep

And try to change

The choices that you’ll make cuz they’re choices that made me

Even though I love this crazy life

Sometimes I wish it was a smoother ride

Dear younger me, dear younger me

Genesis 32:23 He took them and sent them across the stream, and likewise everything that he had.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): I also remember feeling fear when the Israelites were at the Red Sea. Even though I knew the sea would open I felt the power and the weight of Pharaoh at their backs. I felt the destruction that could have happened if God had not intervened.

Rabbi Shaul Leiter: Furthermore, we are commanded to honor our parents not only during their lifetime, but also after their passing. Our behavior towards our parents and taking care of their physical needs is how we honor them when they are alive. How we behave (i.e. were they a good influence on us?) after they pass away, is how we honor them when they are in the World To Come.

Brat: If the Jews are the “parents” of Christians and some of us have been trying to honor y’all, then how have you behaved in this new era that has already come?  This is where Accountability is missing some traction.

Rabbi Shaul Leiter: The innkeeper took advantage of the meeting to ask the rebbe why he did not stay at his inn as his father had done. The rebbe, put in an uncomfortable position, did not want to insult the man, but did not want to lie either. He put his head down, and quietly said, “People say that you are not quite the man your father was.”  The innkeeper looked at the rebbe and retorted, “And are you the man your father was?” The rebbe looked at the innkeeper and began to cry.

Daniel Pontious (27 July 20): There’s been such an increase of Angelic activity over the course of this year, it has been absolutely amazing! While there’s also been some extraordinary warfare taking place there’s also been a massive rise of Angelic activity ascending and descending upon members of the Body of Christ.

Genesis 32:24 Jacob was left alone; and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.

Elaine Tavolacci (30 July 20): There is a story in the Old Testament about a prophet (seer) named Samuel. Samuel heard the audible voice of the Lord when he was a young boy as he ministered before the high priest Eli. 1 Samuel 3:2 says that Eli’s eyes had become dim. As I read this, the Holy Spirit began to reveal to me that Eli’s eyes represent “spiritual sight.” Some of you have lost sight of Jesus and your eyes have become dim as confusion and distraction cloud your vision. The Lord wants to restore your sight and establish His original plan for you.[4]

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): The hour we are in is so urgent, so critical of the stewardship of the heart, stewardship of gifting, anointing and platforms, and in a place where there has been great disobedience and sin, we are about to see some demonstrations of Ichabod take place in the Church. (1 Samuel 4) God has been looking for those who have been after His heart, those who have been seeking Him, those who have been stewarding in purity, those who have been living in purity, but the Lord showed me there has been an impurity and sin that the Lord has continued to call out for repentance and conviction but there are many who have refused to listen.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): Even when they created a false idol He still had destiny for them.

Brat (in “Love Sick” 21 July 20): …  God’s perfect will or provisional will?

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): My heart was so deeply grieved and moved by what I was hearing the Lord say. My heart began to cry out for these ones with their ‘fingers in their ears’. I could feel the lure of ‘false comfort’ that they lived in. I could feel the lure of the idols and the worship of things other than the Lord that was keeping them captive and I could keep the burning, fierce, love of God that was calling them out of these places of false comfort, out of these places of hunger for selfish gain, out of this place of spiritual prostitution, and into the place of repentance to allow the fire of God to purify and to cleanse so they would be rightly positioned and ready for what God was about to release.

Elaine Tavolacci (30 July 20): He is calling those of you who know Jesus, know His ways, and have submitted your lives to the call to be His ambassadors in this season.

Brat prayer (in “Saltpeter” 27 July 20): Most Holy God and Jesus my King, I kneel before You in my armor and lay my sword at Your feet.  Shield this prayer and guard my back.  As Your ambassador, I offer You my “loaves and fishes” gift.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): I heard the Lord say “SOME LIGHTS ARE ABOUT TO GO OUT, SOME LIGHTS ARE ABOUT TO GO OUT” when He spoke those words, by the Spirit of God instantly I knew the Lord was speaking about ‘lampstands’. (Revelation 2)

Brat prayer (in “Saltpeter” 27 July 20): Lord, as Your scribe, You promised to me that when I responded, You would uncover the buried lampstands. (Mark 4:21-23) Nothing would remain hidden.  The Seven Churches could no longer play their games.  You promised that the Arc Speak would no longer be my “Manna.”  Please accept this prayer as my response to You. Bring in those who truly are missioned to make things right, who can hear the reconciliation frequency of heaven, and are willing to make the connections toward wholeness for the greatest good.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): I love that God made water come from a stone. I love that he sent manna to feed them every day. And as they complained He was kind and sent them meat. They did not have vision for what He was doing or even understand their God but He sustained them anyway.

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): This famous promise was not in response to an enemy attack or some random declaration from heaven. It was God answering Solomon’s petition for accountability – “OK, you want accountability? Here’s what I’ll do…” The only way the people would walk in the fear of the Lord would be for them to taste the results of their rebellion and learn the dire consequences of disobedience. Confronted with disasters and crises, they would be faced with their own limitations and hopefully turn back to God. Though this deal with heaven may seem drastic, it was necessary in order for the nation to maintain their covenant with the Lord.

Brian Simmons (30 July 20): I Hear His Whisper…”Restoration will come with humility.”

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): My heart was so overcome.

Charisma (30 July 20): These revelations are totally real, stunning, and life changing.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): He then spoke again “The level of My Glory that is going to be seen when this shift takes place is going to be unprecedented. The way My Glory is going to manifest is going to catapult the Church into their greatest days and My Glory being revealed all across the earth and those that carry it will be those who are truly friends with Me and not those who worship revival or the outpouring, but truly are living laid down before Me seeking to know Me and minister to Me, these are the ones that will truly carry My Glory, my manifested presence and this move of My Spirit. It’s time! It’s time! It’s time!”

Genesis 32:25 When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he struck him on the hip socket; and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him.

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz (in “Attend” 28 July 20): I am curious: Since Christians do not follow the Torah or even the ten commandments, and since they believe that the New Testament totally supersedes and replaces the Torah even when it directly contradicts the Torah, why do you even bother learning or keeping an Old Testament in your house? Also, when the Bible says things like to keep the Sabbath on the 7th day or not to eat pork, and you know that Jesus did these things, how do you feel about eating pork and going to church on Sunday? I am not being judgmental. I just want to know how it feels. (I think I would feel confused and more than a little guilty)

When Light Came In (28 July 20): In healthy relationships, when we’re feeling unloved, we know we can express the feeling or need honestly and still be safe. We may not always *feel* we can express ourselves, but we *know* we’re invited to, because they’ve shown us and earned trust.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): I heard the Lord say “SURPRISE! Watch who will arise” – It is going to be shocking and surprising to many who is going to arise carrying the Glory of the Lord in this hour, where the Glory of the Lord is going to reside. There is going to be a very clear distinction in this hour where the stewardship of purity has been and where impurity has resided. In this hour where this arising is going to take place like we have never seen before, it is going to be very clear who the friends of God have been in this hour. The religious are going to be truly offended by how the Lord moves and where He moves in this hour. Those that have had pride in their hearts and using gifting, anointing and platforms for selfish gain and the worship of self will find offense with where and how the Lord moves as He Glory comes heavier than we have ever seen or experienced before.

1 Samuel 4:22 She said, “The Glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”

Patheos (29 July 20): 3 Ways “Temple” Thinking Still Infects the Church Today

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): In the preceding chapter, Solomon leads the people in dedicating the Temple after years of preparation. They had done everything required and were determined to walk in the ways of the Lord. In his prayer, Solomon makes a deal with God. He wanted to make sure the people stuck to their promises and asked the Lord to hold them accountable…

Then hear from heaven where you live, and forgive. Give your people what their actions deserve, for you alone know each human heart. Then they will fear you and walk in your ways as long as they live in the land you gave to our ancestors. (2 Chronicles 6:30 NLT).

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): The Lord said to me “There is about to be a mighty shift that is going to take place and in this shift there will be demonstrations of Ichabod in the Church. I have been calling and calling and calling and many refuse to listen.”

MercyMe: Every mountain every valley

Thru each heartache you will see

Every moment brings you closer

To who you were meant to be

Dear younger me, dear younger me

Darren Canning (30 July 20): As my older self looks at this story I see God everywhere in it. The people were never really in danger. They may have felt fear and anxiety but that is because they were not intimate with the God who was helping them. No king in this world can destroy the work that God is doing in your life. No person can keep His provision from you. No person can stop God from doing what He is going to do. There is no persecution or tribulation strong enough to stop you. You will feel His peace in the midst of every circumstance and know His name above every storm.

Brat (in “Love Sick” 21 July 20): …  God’s perfect will or provisional will?

Dutch Sheets (30 July 20): Most of us have a limited understanding of shalom translated as “peace.” While it means tranquility or calmness, the basic concept is wholeness, which is a sense of well-being, expressed completeness, harmony and fulfillment. May you find WHOLENESS as you experience His presence.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): The Lord then spoke again “My Glory will not reside where there is impurity. Those that will house My Glory are those that have steward what they carry in purity because they minister to Me and are friends with Me. Their hearts before Me are pure and there is no mixture within them, they are like the sons of Zadok. This is the hour where there will be MIGHTY demonstrations of My Glory that will be carried by those who are living in purity and ministering to Me is their greatest priority. There is no selfish gain within them but they burn with love and adoration for Me and have no desire for selfish gain or self-exaltation.”

1 Samuel 4:21 She named the boy Ichabod, saying, “The Glory has departed from Israel”—because of the capture of the ark of God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband.

Jo: [He] has all but disappeared … good… but it seems like there should be more life in the house.

Me: He disappeared…?

Jo: No, he does this… just ghosts out…

Diane Lake (30 July 20): As the encounter unfolded, I heard the Lord say that we like to think we’re working at absolute efficiency—but ARE we? He impressed on me that it’s a good time to ask ourselves, “What’s going on out there? What are some creative ways I might be able to physically connect with people?” Regulations might be different for your area, but where we live there are minimal restrictions for gatherings held outside or in privately owned homes and locations.

Brat: I have no pastor and I’ve been asking for a pen pal for YEARS!  What is so complicated about writing me and directly engaging with me?  They’ve always done Arc Speak through sermons to their flocks by what I’ve written but dismissed me as if I don’t exist.  That dynamic is not just gaslighting and stonewalling, but also triangulation (that leads to strangulation.)

1 Samuel 4:20 As she was dying, the women attending her said, “Don’t despair; you have given birth to a son.” But she did not respond or pay any attention.

Brat: Sound familiar to Revelation 12?

Rabbi Shaul Leiter: Expressing this idea on a more human level, by honoring our parents, drawing the “higher” letters into the “lower” letters, we are in a sense drawing our intellect into our emotions to assist us to better control our emotions and actions, which is also a major goal of a truly Jewish life.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): When the Lord spoke those words “SELFISH GAIN” the atmosphere around me thundered. I could feel such a thundering and such a shaking in the atmosphere as He spoke those words.

Diane Lake (30 July 20): “Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!” (Romans 11:12)

Professor: “Ghosting” definition: the practice of ending a personal relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication.

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): Though it means that even the righteous must bear the consequences of these wrong choices for a time, I believe we will triumph if we understand the Lord’s greater purposes. He doesn’t want some glib acquiescence or forced submission. He is going after the doubters and those who have yet to wake up. He wants our full surrender and wholehearted devotion and He’s willing to take the time needed if it means He has us – completely.

Elaine Tavolacci (30 July 20): When the Lord called Samuel he did not recognize the Lord’s voice at first (1 Samuel 3:4), but after the third time Eli told him, “…Go and lie down, and if He calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening…'” So Samuel went and laid down in his place. When he did, he heard the voice of the Lord. As the story goes on, Samuel grew and became one of the greatest prophets in history. None of his words fell to the ground, meaning that every prophecy that he spoke came to pass.

1 Samuel 4:18 When he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell backward off his chair by the side of the gate. His neck was broken and he died, for he was an old man, and he was heavy. He had led Israel forty years.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): In my early encounters with the scripture I was more focused on the people in the stories than I was with the God who was their savior. I couldn’t see Him in the details. I couldn’t picture Him above all the circumstances. Even though I read and saw what was happening He was still hidden from me in the story.

MercyMe: If I knew then what I know now

Condemnation would’ve had no power

My joy my pain would’ve never been my worth

If I knew then what I know now

Would’ve not been hard to figure out

What I would’ve changed if I had heard

Elaine Tavolacci (30 July 20): 1 Corinthians 2:4-5, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

Diane Lake (30 July 20): Throughout this encounter, the Lord impressed upon me that entering into the new levels of harvest He has planned means leaving the old ways behind and pressing forward into new levels, and that it’s crucial to be “thinking outside of the box” and making room for the new by strategizing for maximum efficiency.

Brat: Are you saying that reading my pieces is an inconvenient Truth?

MercyMe: Dear younger me

It’s not your fault

You were never meant to carry this beyond the cross

Dear younger me

Darren Canning (30 July 20): I pray for you today. Perhaps you recognize the fear and torment in your life. Perhaps you see your faithlessness and you want to change. I declare over you today that you will begin to grow in new ways and God will invade your imagination to allow you to see His greatness. He will not let you down. He will be with you always even till the end of time.

Brat: Lord, use their own words to flip the script and reveal the truth in the backlighting.

Elaine Tavolacci (30 July 20): The Lord is also calling the Josephs who have been abused by others but have not taken offense. Through warfare and tribulation they have continued to hold onto their dreams. They have resisted the seduction and lies of Potiphar’s wife and have walked in integrity. He has called them to be signs and wonders to the nations. They will be leaders and they will prosper in times of famine and teach others to do the same.

Wanda Alger (30 July 20): Today, our nation is truly getting what we have deserved because of some bad choices we’ve made. Because of the Church’s lack of engagement in the public square and our apathy in voting, we are now reaping the results of our inaction. Though many are waking up to this dilemma and wanting to turn things around, there are yet sleepers and those who walk in unbelief. But, I believe God is at work, bringing them to the place of seeing the consequences of their choices so that they, too, can yield fully to the Lord. We must pray this happens so that our collective unity will be strong, steadfast, and secure.

Lana Vawser (29 July 20): There was such a strong emphasis from the Lord on ‘stewardship’. I felt so strongly that the Lord was speaking about the stewardship of gifting, anointing, platforms, mantles in this hour. I heard the Lord say “I am looking for those who will steward in purity. I am looking for CLEAN HANDS AND PURE HEARTS. For My eyes are roaming the earth looking for those who will steward with purity because they love Me and for the Glory of My name. For as My eyes roam I am seeing much impurity. I am seeing the impurity in stewardship. There has been great impurity in the hearts of many in the stewardship of gifting, anointing and platforms in this hour. In this hour of where there has been a divine Selah, in this hour of great change, in this hour of reformation, I have called My people deep into the fire of purification. I have called My people deep into the place of humility, into the deeper place of trust, into the deeper place of intimacy and wisdom to prepare for what is to come, but many have not taken Me at My call. Many have continued to use their gifting, their anointing and platforms for one thing that has grieved My heart and out of My love for My Church I am calling out this impurity. Many have been using their gifting, their anointing and their platforms for SELFISH GAIN.”

Darren Canning (30 July 20): I love this God that I serve – the same God of these people. He has provided for me in supernatural ways. Daily do I experience His provision. Daily I am taken care of by His powerful hand. My enemies he silences. My family He feeds. His mission in my life He provides for.

Daniel Pontious (27 July 20): “Then He said to him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you all, you shall see heaven opened, AND THE ANGELS OF GOD ASCENDING AND DESCENDING UPON THE SON OF MAN!” John 1:51

Genesis 32:26 Then he said, “Let me go, for the day is breaking.” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go, unless you bless me.”

Lance Wallnau (in “Attend” 28 July 20): May this apostolic blessing be upon you.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): The Israelites did not cultivate that sense of God. God had a destiny for them but they didn’t necessarily own it – they were driven toward it. God saw all that He would accomplish through them and began moving them toward it. Nothing would stop Him. No God of Egypt, no power of man could keep His blessing from manifesting in those people.

Genesis 32:27 So he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.”

Diane Lake (30 July 20): The nation of Israel and the Jewish people play a critical role in worldwide revival. Certain important end-time prophecies have already come to pass, like the founding of the state of Israel in May of 1948 and the liberation of the Old City of Jerusalem in June of 1967 (see Isa. 66:8; Lk. 21:24). The increase of the Messianic movement among Jews, both inside and outside of Israel, has followed these events.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): He provided for them in marvelous and miraculous ways. He fed them, he gave them water out of the rock, and he protected them from their enemies but they still complained. I found myself upset with their complaints when I was young but as I have aged I find myself praying may I not complain as they did if I find myself in such situations.

Brian Simmons (30 July 20) [echo]: I Hear His Whisper…”Restoration will come with humility.”

Diane Lake (30 July 20): The increase of world revival, signs and wonders, significant advances in evangelism that have followed the restoration of the land (or nation) of Israel—and the beginnings of their return to the Lord—are well documented. This brings the realization that there are specific things that will trigger the end-time harvest, and I don’t know how to tell you any more emphatically that one of them is prayer for the Jews.

Genesis 32:28 Then the man said, “You shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with humans, and have prevailed.”

Darren Canning (30 July 20): They were never really in danger because the almighty and lofty one was their protector. He provided for them daily and just in time. When the enemy came against them, the enemy was destroyed. You need to see this about your God. This is who He is. This is what He does. He did it for them and He will do it for you. If you could rest in this assurance your peace would be great.

Genesis 32:29 Then Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that you ask my name?” And there he blessed him.

Darren Canning (30 July 20): Maybe that sounds strange but I think that is probably normal. God in His nature is above and beyond us in every way and yet shares the spaces that we are in. He is capable of being aloft and capable of being near. It takes time to develop our sense of Him in our hearts. It takes time to see Him in all the spaces that He has created – the ones near and the ones far off.

Steve Shultz (30 July 20): I’ll leave you with this Scripture that really is a NOW Word for us all: “Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work” (2 Timothy 2:21).

Elaine Tavolacci (30 July 20): He is raising up the Samuels. Those who are called to speak as God’s voice to this generation. They have been marked from a young age. They will recognize His voice because they are called to be prophets to the nations. They will discern false teachings and false prophets. They will walk in a life of victory because they are Spirit led and not led by their own desires. They know how to enter into the Holy of Holies and will teach others how to go beyond the veil. They will enter into this higher dimension, and they will receive the fullness of what Jesus has for them.

Genesis 32:30 So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life is preserved.”

MercyMe: You are holy

You are righteous

You are one of the redeemed

Set apart a brand new heart

You are free indeed

Diane Lake (30 July 20): If you carry a burden for Israel, revival or the release of the end-time harvest, I suggest you study the Scripture passages above and pray them over Israel—that deaf ears may hear and blind eyes may see. As they return to their land and to the Lord, we will see the continued escalation toward and ultimate release of total worldwide revival!
