Strange Service 24 Feb 19

28 Feb

Working Dates: Sunday, February 24, 2019 to Thursday, February 28, 2019
[17 pages]
Psalm 99:8 O LORD our God, you answered them; you were a forgiving God to them, but an avenger of their wrongdoings.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This week’s Torah portion is called Ki Tisa. Much of the portion deals with the sin of the Golden Calf. After the Jewish people heard the Ten Commandments from G-d on Mount Sinai, Moshe went up the mountain for forty days to receive the Torah in detail directly from the Almighty. There was some tragic confusion amongst the people about when Moshe was supposed to descend.
Luke 9:33 Just as they were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three dwellings, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah” — not knowing what he said.
Joshua Woods: When they descended the mountain, they kept silent and told no one of what they had seen and experienced. They were immediately confronted by a man whose son had been seized by an evil spirit. The demon dramatically dashed the boy against the ground, but Jesus was unfazed. He rebuked the spirit, healed the young boy, and returned him to his father.
Brat: Thank you for the outline: unfazed, rebuked, healed, returned.
John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
Brat: You’ll see…
Unfazed
Luke 14: 16 Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.
Prayer (in “Joan of Arcadia” 4 Feb 19): God, how does one wake the sleeping Church? Sending more prophets won’t work. Raising more dead bones doesn’t seem to faze them. My asking for help is dismissed. Scriptures are parroted. More Arc Speak is lobbed like a grenade into a fox hole, and yet they treat me as if I don’t exist. Lord, You delivered David from the hand of Saul. (Ps 18) I rebuke self-pity and depression. That has no place here! That is farthest from my truth. They are just poking toughened scars. Is there no way to reconcile the Churches and the prophets? God, I confess, I don’t know how to do this. Previous attempts have failed. But I will try again, if only out of obedience to Your will, and to ‘build a sanctuary for God’ like Rabbi Leiter talked about. If Joan of Arcadia in this week’s Sermon of the Week ( ) can grow then I will, too.
Romans 10:20 And Isaiah boldly says,
“I was found by those who did not seek me;
I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.”
Joshua Woods: Like Moses who saw God on the mountaintop or the people who witnessed the inbreaking of the Kingdom of God through the life of Christ on earth, like the disciples who couldn’t quite recognize the true identity of Jesus until he was transfigured before their eyes or the demon-possessed boy who was restored and healed by an encounter with Christ amongst the crowd, we too are forever changed when we see and encounter God.
Luke 14:17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Jesus came here to raise people up from spiritual death in your circle. It may come as you speak with authority.
Luke 14:18 “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’
Marchaé Grair: I forget I have plans with someone. Or I forget to return the call of an old friend or a family member. Instead of sending a quick “I’m sorry,” I avoid them. And then stare at their Facebook page wondering if they hate me.
Brat (in “Note to Self”): I have even put in voices that are not truth (in this section after “Come?”) in order for the words to speak for themselves. Later on, after the Holy Spirit has had His way in us, these words may morph back and sound true again, or maybe they won’t and the reader will judge for him or herself. I don’t know how the future will look upon this. All I know is that I must show, lay it out, present it, tag it as evidence and place it in the safe. Let the forensic specialists comb through it with objectivity later. Right now, I, myself, cannot go back and look at these pieces again and harvest the message to see where the Holy Spirit is leading us, as I would normally do. Contrary to their message, the enemy really is sucking me dry. The devil always wants more. That’s how he is. He’s a bottomless pit. Jesus says you’re enough and the devil says it’s never enough. Until the Church (or rabbis, or both?) steps up to put a cork on this bottomless, narcissistic Jezebel pit, it will continue. And my voice condemning it and rebuking it has not fazed it in the least. She ignores me as if I don’t exist. Until the Church cares enough to not tolerate Jezebel, she will do what she does by getting off on our first fruits. And it will take action on the part of the Church and not just words if they want to see real closure to this wound. The body that UCC talked about will have to take on substance, form and flesh to pull this off and put a real end to Jezebel once and for all. These aren’t just stories for her entertainment.
Marchaé Grair: My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear. – Psalm 38:4
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): Loaves and fishes, Lord. I offer my gifts for Your will to be done.
Lori Suiter: It seems pretty basic, because it is. Sometimes we make things really complicated when they are actually really simple.
Brat (17 Feb 19): Rick Riso said during worship that Crosstown Church is like the loaves and fishes – taking our lunches and feeding the multitudes.
Coincidence? Or do I actually have a readership and they say nothing, so I don’t know? Why the edict to muzzle?
Matthew 17:9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Who was impacted by your healing? It should have a ripple effect.
Brat: So, you read “Effect”?
Marchaé Grair: I roll over from a nap to see that the event I really wanted to attend already started. Instead of regrouping and finding a way to go anyway, I burst into tears and go back to sleep.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): We are self-focused and have no clue about anybody else.
Brat: I noticed.
James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Marchaé Grair: My guilt complex is so destructive. It consumes me to the point of irrationality. And in that irrational place, I make even more decisions that make me feel even guiltier.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: We need the fire. The next time you extend your wallet or your mind, show some love and understanding. Put your soul into it.
Kris Vallotton (23 Feb 19): 8 practical ways you can get free from a poverty mindset!
Israel 365 (22 Feb 19): The Urgent Importance of Embracing Israel and Returning Often ✡ “To destroy, massacre, and exterminate all the Yehudim”
John 4:20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Antagonists cause us to keep quiet.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The people became nervous and a small element actually started worshiping a golden calf (see Shemot 32:1-8 for more details). Since the worship of anything (even money etc.) other than G-d demonstrates a flaw in the human-Divine relationship we understand that idol worship is the root of all sins.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): The root is a spiritual problem.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: Dirty Money: The Secret of “The Coin of Fire”
Passion
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): If you and I leave out this part (about casting out demons) out of the equation, then you and I are going to hell, because the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy.
Brat: Did you get that from “Effect”?
Psalm 35:17 How long, Lord, will you look on?
Rescue me from their ravages,
my precious life from these lions.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister (in “Valentine’s Day 14 Feb 19”): Once the unity is broken, and the Other Side has control of a person such that his passion rules his mind, his body is empty of holiness and does not return even when his anger abates.
Brat: That’s hell. Jesus gave His ALL for our all. We call His last week on earth “The Passion.” He sits at the right hand of the Father. I believe HIM and therefore I am a new creation.
Matthew 23:15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: Anger is a form of idol-worship.
Brat: Jesus had righteous anger. Rage is different than anger.
Pastor John Tolle (17 Feb 19): Passion Week is identifying with Christian suffering. We don’t end there. There isn’t a Christian that doesn’t need renewal.
Joshua Woods: Moses came into contact with God and he was changed. Not only in appearance, but deep down in the core of his being. He had come close to the Holy One. He had seen God and he had been changed—forever.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: One of the chassidim of the Alter Rebbe passed away. The Alter Rebbe said about him, that even though the level of his soul’s essence was low, he merited a very exalted place in heaven (Gan Eden). This merit came from the special care he gave to being kind to others his entire life by giving tzedakah (charity) for the needy and by always welcoming guests to his home. These actions created special garments for his soul that allowed him to ascend to a higher spiritual level. Each of us, the Alter Rebbe continued, must be careful that our garments are “clean” and “good” – meaning whole. By fulfilling this commandment they are transformed into garments for the soul. The opposite is also true. G-d protect us, but sometimes a soul’s essence can come from a very high level but will be given a low place in Gan Eden or even fall “into the depths of the abyss” because the garments are not good. The word for garment in Hebrew is בגד beged. The word beged has two inner meanings, beged meaning to betray, or beged from the expression בא גד bo gad, (gad “my constellation”) i.e. my good fortune is coming. And he becomes a magnet for positive outcomes.
Joshua Woods: How could he not be?
Stars
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): A third who will come across your path will need healing.
Revelation 12:4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.
Brat: That’s a lot of stars that will need healing.
Exodus 32:13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’”
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Does it apply to you and me?
Anna Blake (25 Feb 19): [New post] Photo & Poem: Explain the Sky
Restless eyes behind closed lids, the
early hours lay flat, dull to these
scurrying thoughts. Rise to use
the bathroom and the dogs do not
stir. Pull on a barn coat and muck
boots to go out and walk the farm.
Keep to open ground, small steps
feel for uneven earth, head dropped
back to the view. Try to explain
the night sky, white clouds not quite
transparent arcing over mountains
in silhouette. The blue-black air cools
my feet, dense as water, lifting up
to the closest stars, those revealing the
stars behind them, and those stars,
the ones behind them. Hooves on
sand, gray horses move from the
shadows, ghostly outlines come clear
on a windless prairie. Stand close,
we are in free-fall, stilled by wonder.
Isaiah 34:4 All the stars in the sky will be dissolved and the heavens rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.
Brat (25 Feb 19): Lord, we just went through the Oscars last night. Father, You keep saying Hollywood is Yours. Nu?
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): We deal with the issue of our own unbelief.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: One way or the other, almost no one living in this physical world can be completely immune from this transgression. Some people fail in more overt ways like truly believing that G-d is not the only omnipotent power in reality. Most others transgress much more subtly.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Five Attitudes on Belief:
1. There are people who don’t believe, even with evidence.
2. There are those who want to believe, but…
3. There are those who are passive.
4. There are those who act upon belief, but they don’t see results.
5. There are those who act and see results.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: This is what G-d was telling Moses: Money is money—we know that; but money is also more than money. The heart, the soul, which accompanies the money, redefines what type of money it is: holy or profane, spiritual or physical, earthly or transcendent. Money that contains the purity of “a yifdishe hartz,” of a warm fiery Jewish heart, this is sacred and pure money. It is money on fire. Such money makes it into the holy of holies, and sublimates the giver to the greatest of heights.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): My goal is to get you to number 4 or 5 on the list.
Danny Gokey: “Maybe You Just Haven’t Seen It Yet” [https://youtu.be/X1eMZiOJ0a0]
John 4:21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
Brat: St Patrick’s board didn’t seem to care that she was withholding funds from the diocese through a loophole. It was seen as getting away with something. And the diocese didn’t seem to care either. What’s wrong with this picture?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The Lubavitcher Rebbe writes that one modern version of idolatry is a person who is sincerely involved in Jewish lifestyle, but nevertheless since they perceive their own total involvement as something strange and inappropriate, even alien (reminiscent of the Torah term for idol worship: “strange service”) they put limits on themselves. And since a person allows some separation between himself and the observance of the Torah commandments, it eventually can cause a person to descend to actual idolatry, G d forbid.
Brat: Limits like keeping secrets in the brotherhood?
Mark 6:10 Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place.
John Tolle: Act like you love each other!
Brat (in “Grief Cycles” 22 Feb 19): When it was time to leave St Patrick’s it was clear, unmistakable, undeniable, and God’s voice was the power behind the scriptural mandate. The whole CHURCH got the message (even though they were not awake to hear it.)
Elijah List: Dr. Gary Richter: If Your Cat Vomits (Do This Every Day)
Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.
Mark 6:11 And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the Day of Judgment than for that city!”
Rebuked
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): Sophia and I prayed down the beast TODAY, in Jesus’ name. God, please honor that prayer TODAY! The angry beast has raged enough! We call on God’s kingdom to be HERE – NOW – TODAY!
Jo (24 Feb 19): fire — and so the dragon flies low and fast, breathing out fire, laying waste to the ground below him. I stand unfazed warming my front from the flames.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
Brat: Back off Satan! It is true that God put enmity between you and me. Stop it NOW! No more! You may not crush my head, my thoughts, my understanding, or any part of my relationship with God or life! You may not touch my family and friends! Your “heel” is an Achilles.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): The devil is stupid when he challenges your authority.
Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
Marchaé Grair: It’s a cycle that’s seemingly impossible to end.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): God’s not calling anyone to be a snake whisperer. (Mk 16:15-18)
Victoria Boyson: “My presence will reveal the hearts of men and you will be surprised by what I show you! Heaven awaits expectantly for My glory to be revealed through My beloved. What are you waiting for? What do you think you will see? Remember beloved, I come in whispers, not in screams, but I will roar over the nations and shake mountains. Have you been impressed by mountains? Truly, the world will recognize My true friends and they will be overwhelmed with gratitude for YOU!”
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): We don’t have to scream. If you act in authority you don’t need to scream.
Marchaé Grair: Breaking my guilt cycle requires something I’m not that good at doing—admitting I’m human. Admitting that sometimes, I let people down and sometimes, I let myself down. Admitting that I overestimate what I can do or how much time I have to do it.
Priests
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): There’s not enough of us to give the answer for the hope within us.
Hosea 4:7 The more priests there were,
the more they sinned against me;
they exchanged their glorious God for something disgraceful.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): We’ve accepted that conclusion without an interruption from Jesus. We’ve accepted a conclusion not based on fact. We assume.
Romans 10:16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”
Jordan Feliz: “Can I Get a Witness?” [https://youtu.be/wgD92xLlNGs]
Joshua Woods: To see God is to be changed, but does this change occur in the same way for all people, across all of time and in every context?
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): There is no salvation without the speaking of the word.
Brat: Tell that to Crowder: “Red Letters” [https://youtu.be/E1ohrZaZfTI]
Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Brat: Since the beginning of my calling the priests and pastors have dismissed my calling because the testimony is written and not technically “spoken,” even though they are a conversation in the form of scripts. I cry, “Technical Foul!” on this religious spirit!
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles (in “Effect” 19 Feb 19): Let us use this occasion to pray to the Master of the Universe for all the right things. The collective Jewish people is living through difficult times and there are many things to pray for. May we all merit to see the arrival of Moshiach very soon.
Joshua Woods: To see God is to be changed. For the last several weeks, during this season following the Epiphany, we have journeyed alongside those who first came to the realization that Jesus might actually be the Messiah for whom they had waited.
Pastor John Tolle (17 Feb 19): Easter is ten weeks away from today.
Brat: So, why are you putting off for ten weeks what you could be doing today?
Marchaé Grair: I miss a deadline. Instead of asking for an extension, I ghost the editor.
Pastor John Tolle (27 Jan 19): “You can’t pick and choose scriptures. You have a Reader’s Digest version and you’re the editor.”
Romans 10:21 But concerning Israel he says,
“All day long I have held out my hands
to a disobedient and obstinate people.”
Rev Charles Hoffacker (22 Feb 19): Because of your interest in Joseph, you might find engaging John Sanford’s 1987 book,
“The Man Who Wrestled With God: Light from the Old Testament on the
Psychology of Individuation.” Joseph is one of the Old Testament
characters he looks at.
Brat (22 Feb 19): Steps of the Jungian Individuation Process:
The first step is the assimilation of the shadow.
A second step is the confrontation with the anima (for a woman, animus).
The third step is the encounter with the archetype of the Wise Old Man.
John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
Brat (22 Feb 19): I’m looking at the spiritual growth of the Church. In applying the steps of the Individuation process to the Bride, she has gone through her individualism, seen her dark side, confronted the beast, and now she is encountering Wisdom, but I have yet to see her slow down enough to assimilate that wisdom.
Joshua Woods: They watched as heaven opened and heard a voice proclaiming, “This is my Son,” standing on the banks of the Jordan River. They tasted the water that had become “good wine” at a wedding in Cana. They listened as he taught in the synagogue and heard him profess that in him, that day, the scripture had been fulfilled. They watched—or possibly even participated in—the angry crowd which drove him out of the synagogue but could not destroy him. They pressed in on him to hear him teach. They obeyed him when he told them, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” They witnessed signs and believed. They heard him and felt hope as he declared, “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.” They wrestled as he taught them to love their enemies and to “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”
Brat: If I may, the Church is still in the Parent / Teacher role and the flock is still in the Child / Student role. The roles (archetypes) are so rigid that there is no room for friendship and listening (Wisdom).
[Received SILENCE]
Cursor
Israel365 (22 Feb 19): Accordingly, written instructions were dispatched by couriers to all the king’s provinces to destroy, massacre, and exterminate all the Yehudim, young
Esther 3:13 (The Israel Bible™)
Brat: Excuse me? Did your cursor just go astray on you and cut off the rest of the verse (Esther 3:13)? My computer does weird things like that; beastly thing.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): How have you been living by faith in your relationship?
2 Corinthians 4:2 We have renounced the shameful things that one hides; we refuse to practice cunning or to falsify God’s word; but by the open statement of the truth we commend ourselves to the conscience of everyone in the sight of God.
Victoria Boyson: In a recent dream, I entered a building packed full of people—middle-aged and younger—waiting in expectancy for a move of God to manifest in their midst. All were young except for my grandfather, who was sitting in a rocking chair surrounded by people. I ran to him, so happy to see him since he passed away in 2016.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Elders have knowledge with wisdom through experience.
Joshua Woods: The people of Israel had been led out of bondage, but they still needed direction. Not just directions of where to turn or how far to go in their journey toward the Promised Land, but also directions for how to live as a people who had been chosen and called by God to be “a light to the nations” (Isaiah 42:6).
2 Corinthians 3:15 Indeed, to this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds;
Brat (in “Grief Cycles” 22 Feb 19): Lord, I’m trying to listen to what You have to say. If people are so hyper they can’t slow down enough to enunciate, then how am I supposed to hear the message?
Steve Shultz: Can’t You TALK LOUDER, God?
Bumper sticker on an old VW van: “I CAN GO SLOWER”
Brat (in “Grief Cycles” 22 Feb 19): If I write slower will they hear more clearly?
Romans 10:18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:
“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.”
Luke 9:30 Suddenly they saw two men, Moses and Elijah, talking to him.
Victoria Boyson: Honestly, there are no words to describe what I saw and felt in that place. Words pale in comparison to what we experienced, but it was literally like Heaven penetrated Earth and exploded in our midst. All at once, we started singing the song made famous by Judy Jacobs, “Days of Elijah”! As we sang the part that says, “There’s no God like Jehovah,” our worship mushroomed into an unfathomable concentration of explosive joy and inconceivable miracles began to break out. As supernatural phenomenons manifested in all of us we could neither explain or contain!
Joshua Woods: As a result of this encounter, Moses began to wear a veil over his face when he addressed the people. It should be noted that Moses was not only changed in a personal or private way by his encounter with God, but it was such a life-altering event that it also changed the ways that he interacted and communicated with others. So, this life-changing experience was not an isolated, personal, religious experience, but a very public thing that changed the life of Moses.
Journal (in “Barnes & Noble” 17 Feb 19): “…I don’t know what he said, but I looked him in the eye. Dori had seen genuine love and joy in my eyes and had said so. God had answered my prayer that I had prayed before I ever went into church.”
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): We’re not doing it for us. We’re doing it for Him.
Brat (in “Accountability” 26 Jan 19): Holy Spirit, bless Pastor J; talk to him, give him wisdom and courage to proceed. Give him divine understanding to cut through the do-gooder syndrome to placate and the politician’s syndrome to make nice when there could be a way to hold the rats accountable. Accountability doesn’t mean I haven’t forgiven them. Accountability is the next step to making the wrongs right. As far as I can tell the Book of Revelation doesn’t go into detail as to how that’s done. It gives the punishment (ie, thrown into the lake of fire, etc), and in the end we enjoy the River of Life, but how do we get to life without accountability? Punishment is not accountability. The Churches just pimp faith and leave the rest up for God to do. (And then proclaim there will be more persecution…?)
[Sigh.]
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Learn to move on when you experience rejection.
Brat: I wonder if it is projection of their own fear of accountability (ergo, guilt?) that is setting itself up as “persecution.” Guilt makes a “lake of fire” all its own.
Marchaé Grair: Trading Guilt for Grace
Rabbi YY Jacobson: Bezalel is the man who supervised the work of the Mishkan (Tabernacle), as discussed in this week’s portion. G-d’s complimentary words about him are impressive: “I filled him with the spirit of G-d, with wisdom, intelligence and knowledge, to do creative work, and with the ability to know thoughts, to work in gold and silver and copper.’” [6] When he introduces Bezalel to the Jewish people, Moses repeats this same description. [7] Indeed, our sages explain he Bezalel was blessed with “ruach hakodesh,” [8] with the ability to know people’s thoughts.
Pastor John Tolle (20 Jan 19): Our kids’ behaviors are hard to change. Knowledge won’t change you unless you let it speak to you. I don’t get away with preaching sermons, because of my knowledge or intellect. I like the fellowship I have with God. I can’t stand up here without answering to Him about what I say here. Are you willing to live what you preach?
Court
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): If we don’t care for this world, who will? That’s a mandate of the Lord.
Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Brat: Lord, I’ve been going to the house of Israel. Getting a letter back to keep the dialogue going would bring a lot of healing. Getting a letter of where I belong like Paul did for Philemon would bring a lot of healing. I love them and I sense they love me, too. This service is not so strange. But people at church said that people don’t write letters anymore, so maybe it is strange.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Talk about the answer for that bad situation.
Brat: I just did! Are you snooping in on my prayers again?
Jo: [He] has arraigned thru intimidation, threats and behaviors to almost eliminate me from my own life. That sentence is mind rocking. It is true not drama of the morning. He is disappearing me. I want to say more but I cannot find words.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): How will this guy get deliverance?
Luke 18:6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: Whatever your verdict on the questions, in Judaism, the source of money is important. Money is more than just money. There is a difference between “clean money” and “dirty money.” And the difference exists, although in a much more subtle and refined form, within Jewish money itself.
Romans 10:19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,
“I will make you envious by those who are not a nation;
I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.”
Pastor John Tolle (in “Effect” 19 Feb 19): I can’t find it right now, but there is a passage in Isaiah 58 that talks about turning away the pointing finger then your light will shine. We are living in enflamed times in our nation. I don’t see a lot of people who love those with whom they disagree.
Brat: You read me. Why don’t you pass me along to the bishop?
Pastor John Tolle: “Make something alive out of my reading.”
Brat: Are you saying that you did contact the bishop and now they are part of the Arc Speak game? Or maybe they were in on it from the very beginning? Just asking.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Jesus is not here to play a game with you, but to release healing to you.
Brat: Jesus is not playing a game, but you are.
Mark 6: 13 And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.
John 4:25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
Joshua Woods: They couldn’t un-see what they had witnessed—reality peeled back to give a glimpse of the Kingdom of God. They were changed. How could they not be?
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): I did a maneuver that showed him up, but not with words.
John 4:26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”
Brat (in “Deliver Us” 12 Feb 19: I renewed my prayers that the [institutionalized] Church herself would be delivered from evil.
Mark 6: 7 And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.
John 4:39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
Brat: It’s like having your life scroll before your eyes.
Marchaé Grair: The parts of me that want to be enough, even on the days it doesn’t feel possible.
John 4:16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
Marchaé Grair: Prayer
Divine One, extend your grace to me and help me extend that same grace to myself. Amen.
John 4:17 “I have no husband,” she replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Your obedience is not to your husband but to Jesus Christ.
Joshua Woods: Some were amazed, others became angry, multitudes found hope, and a handful left everything and followed him.
Revelation 2: “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.
John 4:18 The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
Rabbi YY Jacobson (in “Ox” 01 Feb 19): This is referring to a law in this week’s portion, Mishpatim. The Torah states that if two men become engaged in a brawl and one of them shoves a pregnant woman, causing her to miscarry, the man responsible must pay compensation, the amount to be determined in court.
Revelation 12:2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
Pastor John Tolle (27 Jan 19): In court proceedings there is a mediator. Jesus is the Mediator in marriage. I am grateful for judges that do that. It’s never good after a divorce.
Brat: And when the beast has ten horns? (Rev 13:1)
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Worse yet, Joseph was a tattle-tale. He would tell Jacob all the bad things the other boys were saying, recounting them in detail. Joseph was very effective at making himself despised.
Psalm 35:15 But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee;
assailants gathered against me without my knowledge.
They slandered me without ceasing.
Revelation 2:23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Anyone who wishes death to others does not have the Spirit of Christ.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: This is where we can let God examine our hearts.
Brat: Where is the Church? She’s been too busy following her lead. It’s easy to make me the “enemy” when the star is friends with everyone.
Joshua Woods: How could we not be?
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): She also said the beast was angry. My head went up. The Ascent rabbis TODAY had sent a piece on anger. I don’t know how this fits in, but I saw some connections in the spirit.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The opening verse (Shemot 30:12) “Raise the head”. Raising the head, the seat of our intellect, is a hint to studying more Torah, especially the inner dimensions, Kabbalah and Chassidut. Books like the Zohar and Tanya. Even for Jews who are not yet involved in Jewish life, the focused study of Torah is able to eradicate any remnants of “strange service”.
Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:55 pm Journal (in “Note to Self” (16 Feb 19): Thank You, Lord, for real friends who are willing to take a risk and stand in the gap. However the books get opened, I am grateful. Honor Your word. Be extra kind to Sophia. She extended the olive branch like we talked about in “Come.” Bring forth the holy remnant!
Israel 365 (21 Feb 19): Ask the Rabbi: Did God Break His Covenant With the People of Israel? ✡ “I will never break My covenant with you”
Brat: Is this not proof of God’s faithfulness?
Wisdom
John 4:22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
Joshua Woods: Our interactions with others, not only with God, change us because proximity changes our perspective in an irreversible way. There is no reliable process to unknow what we have seen, experienced, or participated in. This is perhaps why the old adage is that “ignorance is bliss,” because sometimes we don’t want to be changed. We so often want to forget the challenging things that we have learned and return to a time when we were comfortably blissful in our unknowing. As the Philosopher wrote in Ecclesiastes 1:18, “In much wisdom is much vexation, and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow.”
Pink Floyd: “Comfortably Numb” [https://youtu.be/pl9dc5FhFYU]
Revelation 5:4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
Marchaé Grair: My guilt masks tender parts of me I’m not always ready to reveal—the parts of me that need forgiveness and affirmation on my worst days. The parts of me that long to know I don’t need to be perfect to be worthy of love and care.
Psalm 99:6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called on his name. They cried to the LORD, and he answered them.
Brat: Samuel lived in the eleventh century BC, according to Strong’s Concordance. When was the Exodus?
Bing: The date of the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt at the time of Moses has been a subject of uncertainty and controversy for centuries. The Bible indicates that it was about 1400-1500 BC but many modern scholars have placed it about 1200 BC based on Egyptian chronology.
Brat: Poor Samuel. He had to deal with Eli and schmucky sons and now he’s before God casting out the spirit that made the Golden Calf? Did I get that right?
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Is it worth it to preach the gospel?
Brat: So, are you saying that Samuel must have gone through a type of transfiguration as well? I never saw that before. If it worked on them would it work on you?
Marchaé Grair: When I recognize my humanity, I feel vulnerable. And that vulnerability reminds me that I’m not in control, a reminder I fear more than anything.
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): I woke up praying heavily for the bishops. I went back and reread “Half Birthed” [ ] while playing “God Only Knows” over and over again. Then I went into my inbox and the Arc Speak to “Character of Love” and my journal “Deliver Us” that I typed up last night and emailed to Jo was too much. Jo’d responded, “To be heard is maybe one of the most important things we experience in this life.” I put the Arc Speak from the Funny Bunnies in the book, interspersed with lyrics from “God Only Knows.” No one would believe this otherwise and it is crazy-making. But God only knows what I’ve been through. And the Verse of the Day was John 3:16. This loneliness from being used doesn’t feel loving. Then again, it’s not from You, Jesus. I’m asking You for words to write to the bishop’s office in a way that is loving, so as to pay lovingkindness forward and still get my case heard. But what can I say that hasn’t already been said?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Another practical lesson. Even amidst the tragic discovery of the Jews’ idolatrous episode just forty days after the giving of the Torah, Moses did not lose his faith in the Jewish people. Moses did his utmost to plead for them, even offering his life for their sake (“Erase me from Your book if you will not forgive them”).
Elijah List (21 Feb 19): The Book “They” don’t want you to read
Joshua Woods: But all were forever changed.
Bob Blasé: Great adventures of Kingdom growth and conquest are assigned here. This includes a further revealing of things written in the heavenly scrolls (books) of our identities in Christ and our destinies in God. For example, I have heard angels explain the name of their activities here in the greater Portland/Vancouver metro area as, “Operation: Unlimited Possibilities.” When God releases revelation it is for the purpose of changing things from the earthly to the heavenly. So put on your faith and buckle in for the ride!
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Put on your seatbelt!
Joshua Woods: How could they not be? How could we not be?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The Shelah explains regarding the verse “I will have grace on those I wish to grace, and mercy on those to whom I wish to be merciful” (Shemot 33:19), that when a person judges others favorably because it is a commandment, it comes with no limits of any kind. There is no down side. Kindness rooted in the Divine has no strings attached, as G d says, “I will have grace on those I wish to grace.”
Revelation 5:5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”
Chuck Girard: Blessed be the name of my Rock
Blessed be the name of my Shield
Blessed be the Lamb
Who will open the scroll
And loose the seven seals

Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Do I render Him a false prophet if I don’t apply this to me? He is your LORD. Jesus is my LORD!
John 14:12 (NLV) For sure, I tell you, whoever puts his trust in Me can do the things I am doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.
Joshua Woods: There is a story in the Hebrew Bible of a prophet named Moses who was called by God to lead the people of Israel out of bondage and into the land the Lord had promised them. Like so many stories in the Bible, the epic of Moses leading the people of Israel through the desert is full of twists and turns, success and failures. The people of Israel tended to be their own worst enemy—like we are, sometimes—setting up unnecessary obstacles for themselves and allowing themselves to be distracted by lesser gods.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: So G-d showed him a “coin of fire,” “matbaah shel eish.” G-d explained to Moses that it is not only the coin that counts; it is the fire and passion that comes along with the coin. When a Jew gives a coin with a fire in his or her heart, with enthusiasm and zeal, with a delight and a feeling of love, a simple coin becomes a coin of fire! The physical coin catches on the fire of the soul. Now it is not just money, now it is money on fire! Such money can atone for your soul. For it is “soulful money.”
Brat: [Blink slowly.]
Joshua Woods: If this is true—that we are changed by our everyday interactions with others—how could we not be changed when we come into contact with God, the Holy One whose greatness we have been called to proclaim?
Brat: So, are you saying that the Church is going to pay back restitution for all she allowed Satan to steal, kill, and destroy?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Moses’s self-sacrifice succeeded in saving them. Similarly, leaders in every generation found merit in our people no matter how far they had strayed. Each Jewish person has a spark of Moshe in them and is filled with leadership qualities. It is incumbent on each of us to judge other people with a positive eye. Judging a person in a positive way also impacts them, helping transform that person’s negative qualities and behavior into something positive.
Brat (in “Come?” 15 Feb 19): Wait a minute! Don’t you see the beauty in this? The ‘High Priest’ of my Bagel Boys to Pastor John Tolle in Thousand Oaks, ie the ‘Alexander’? Who said anything about being bitter? How do we get to reconciliation? And then there’s Rabbi YY in New York, but I just don’t have anything left in me. We’ve tried this before. He fits in this triangle, too, but I can’t do anymore. I love my boys and yet there is only so much I can do.
Returned
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Therefore, one way to fulfill the commandment of not worshipping idols is to constantly evaluate if his or her service is appropriate and complete, so that one should not suddenly arrive at a level of “strange service”. If, G-d forbid, an “idolatrous” attitude is discovered, in oneself or in others, it must be actively combated until it is eliminated. What is our spiritual ammunition?
Brat: Curiosity? Ya’ know what I find “strange service”? That I contacted the bishop’s advocate for reconciliation and got still more Silence.
Joshua Woods: Who can see God and remain the same? Who can see God and not be forever changed?
Brat: But, I’m not God.
2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore, since it is by God’s mercy that we are engaged in this ministry, we do not lose heart.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: Yet this is strange: We understand why Bezalel had to have wisdom and knowledge to do this job. We understand the need for skill and craftsmanship to build such an elegant, nuanced and complex structure. But why was it necessary for him to know thoughts of people? He was a builder not a psychic?
John 4:19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet.
Brat: Women are not mind-readers.
Joshua Woods: Through our experiences, we gain knowledge, and knowledge stubbornly refuses to let us remain the same.
Pastor John Tolle (24 Feb 19): Who will speak on behalf of the Lord?
Brat: Am I stale fruitcake? What do you think I’ve been doing?
Victoria Boyson: Papa God says to you: “My Spirit will renew your youth and restore your vigor as you seek My face and spread the JOY of My coming. I will reach down My hand and give you the generations through this movement. Many who My Church thought were unreachable will be given to you. This you will see so My name will be PRAISED in all the earth! From all walks of life they will turn to ME, and you will have NO DOUBT that I am doing this—these who I give you will be absolutely MINE! They will walk with Me like the prophets of old and will hear My voice and speak what I tell them to speak. You must listen and learn, for there is something I want to show you through their lives. Love them, DEAR ONES, as you have loved Me and you will receive an overwhelming impartation of My Spirit that will spread worldwide.
Mark 6: 12 So they went out and preached that people should repent.
Healed
Verse of the Day (27 Feb 19): Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. ~ 1 John 3:18 NIV
Brat: So, go and do likewise! I am doing what I can on my end. Talk to your churchy brethren. Jesus saves!
John 4:41 And because of his words many more became believers.

Rick Joyner: “But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth.” [Revelation 12:16]
Psalm 35:25 Do not let them think, “Aha, just what we wanted!”
or say, “We have swallowed him up.”
David Slavin: The Good of the Land “Effect of Earthly Conduct”
Pastor John Tolle: Some of you are smarter than me and you still love me.
Psalm 35:1 Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me;
fight against those who fight against me.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Throwing spears is the opposite of throwing our hands up in praise—this open gesture where our hearts turn wholly to the One who is worthy of our worship. In this month of February, may His love continue to eclipse and cover everything else that would contend for your affections. . .
Psalm 35:3 Brandish spear and javelin
against those who pursue me.
Say to me,
“I am your salvation.”
Richard L. Floyd: The church’s business remains unfinished for now. Others will take it up. In the meantime we worship, we pray, we teach and learn, we care for each other and for our world. We move from season to season under God’s abiding care, waiting for that day when God’s great Garden will blossom and flourish over all the earth.
Sophia Buller (2 Feb 19): While I prayed super cool! When I prayed a bunch of pigeons came with 1 white dove (see pics) and the light shined in the clouds when I was thanking Jesus for EVERYTHING and there is also a pic of the hill near my home with the vibrant green growing back after the fire! P.s. the fire didn’t touch my street and God ALWAYS protects those who are HIS!!! REJOICE!!! God has so many AWESOME things planned for you too!!!
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Hearts are awakening by the love and mercy of God! This is a beautiful thing. It’s like the new growth of spring we already see on our hillsides in Camarillo. As fresh, tender, bright- green shoots appear, it’s a promise of renewal and new life after drought, fires, and destruction. But along with new hope awakening is the mystery that, as God woos our hearts out of cold storage, fear, shut-down mode, disappointment or hope deferred, we might notice EVERYTHING coming to life—the “weeds” in our hearts, too! So, as we open our hearts deeper to receive the love of God in this new season for the new season ahead, let me share a surprising encounter I recently had with God.
Brat: Did Sophia share that with you, too, or were you in our secret place?
Psalm 35:4 May those who seek my life
be disgraced and put to shame;
may those who plot my ruin
be turned back in dismay.
Pastor John Tolle: In school I enjoyed great debate. I enjoyed the intellectual exercise. I remember coming to realize that the more I learn, I learn that I don’t know.
Brat: Well, women are supposed to be a mystery.
Linda MacKenzie Davis: Hi Sweetie! I miss u & our phone talks!! We sure could burn up those lines.
Brat: I’ll call soon!
Psalm 35:2 Take up shield and armor;
arise and come to my aid.
Lori Suiter: You cannot fight this battle with the same spirit that is coming against you. You must figure what the attack is against in order to see the key to overcoming it.
Brat: Satan has been attacking my hands and feet. That speaks to me of commissioning.
Journal (in “Note to Self” 16 Feb 19): Sophia said that she was reading my stuff and she started to cry. She’s been through this, too, just as I have, and sometimes with the very same pastors who mocked and pushed us genuine prophets away, because it did not help maintain their image or empire.
Revelation 11: 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”
Brat: Lord, we’ve already done that.
Revelation 11:4 They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”
Charisma (21 Feb 19): The Plumb Line: Prophetic Training: Releasing Heavy Prophetic Words With Diplomacy, Accuracy
Pastor Steve Dittmar: We were like Saul.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: When his brothers threw him into that empty well, Joseph was indeed an arrogant person, but now he is blameless. If his experience in the empty well and his journey into slavery burnt away his arrogance, his time in prison works in him an even deeper change. Through his utterly unjustified suffering, Joseph realizes that he has a companion. As we read in Genesis, “The Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love.”
Pastor John Tolle: I want fresh resurrection power this Easter.
Journal (in “Barnes & Noble” 17 Feb 19): “…I don’t know what he said, but I looked him in the eye. Dori had seen genuine love and joy in my eyes and had said so. God had answered my prayer that I had prayed before I ever went into church.”
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Finally, they have had enough! To avoid outright murder, they throw the obnoxious brat into an empty well. They take his fancy coat, the one his father gave him, mess it up with animal blood, and tell Jacob that wild beasts tore apart his favorite son. Their father almost dies from sorrow.
Kim Potter: “A Call to Come Up Higher”
Revelation 11: 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.
Rick Joyner: Of course, the symbol of the United States is the eagle. In the text, we see that “two wings of a great eagle” were given to help the woman, the church, who was carried to a wilderness, which is what America was at that time. Many, if not most, of the first colonists were Protestant Christians and Jews fleeing the persecution in Europe.
Lana Vawser: The Lord decreed: “THE EAGLES ARE ARISING!!!”
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): I asked God about why I feel flat about sharing with the bishop’s office. I shared also with Sophia that I’ve never, ever had any success with the bishops in the past and she encouraged me that this is a new season. When I got off the phone I asked God again. He said that even if contact with the bishops goes nowhere, there is a record of outreach. There is a record of my trying to show God’s loving care. “If they reject you, they are really rejecting Me,” He said. Then I thought about these new friends that Sophia is passing me along to. They would bring fresh life into our tired story. They are real and would not be living in the Arc Speak Cloud.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: In the end, Saul was a tormented man, never finding God for himself. Obsessed with killing David, he pursued him throughout Judea, hunting him like an outlaw. He mistakenly thought David would bring his demise when in truth, his own outlawed, orphaned heart was the reason for his torment.
Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi: With the coming of Shabbat, this deepest level of a person’s soul is revealed within the person. It is not felt as an increase in physical life, but rather, an increase in one’s spiritual life force.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Fear and jealousy both devalue and seek to destroy those who seem to be accepted. We feel that they possess what we should possess; in its full-fledged form, it awakens the seed of murder! Like Cain killing Abel because his gift had not been regarded by God, we can seek to extinguish the one who is being received, awakened, given new hope. The first murder was over worship. Rather than humbling himself and learning how to approach the Lord, how to offer worship acceptable to the Lord, Cain chose murder. Saul’s heart was the same.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: On his scoundrel brothers, he bestows life through his generous forgiveness. He remembers how they hated him and sought his destruction, but he does not want revenge.
Pastor John Tolle: Jesus said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they’re doing” WHILE THEY WERE KILLING HIM!
Pastor Steve Dittmar: This encounter that I experienced, I believe, was not to condemn our hearts, but to remind us to fix our eyes and affections once again on Jesus, who is the only One worthy of our praise and worship. And if you notice jealousy rising, well. . . There’s God’s love right there, too, covering you, BIGGER than anything. He wants our hearts. He wants us to give Him our hearts first and foremost. As we turn from self-focus, others-focus, our losses and disappointments—as we throw down our spears, and throw our hands upward in praise–I see Jesus, receiving our wide open arms. . . and pouring His love and new song into our tender, open, worshipping hearts, refreshing us anew. May we all receive His invitation into true love and freedom, as Jesus once again becomes our all in all. Amen.
Pastor John Tolle: I still don’t measure up, but because I belong to Him, I measure up. There’s no condemnation, but I still have a long way to go.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: It was not always so! Joseph began life as a brat. The child of his father’s old age, he was his father Jacob’s pet and reminded the old man of his deceased wife Rachel. You can be sure that the other sons were wounded by this favoritism.
Psalm 35:26 May all who gloat over my distress
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who exalt themselves over me
be clothed with shame and disgrace.
Kevin Basconi: The Mysteries of God and the Seasons of Silence
1 Corinthians 4:1, “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
Kevin Basconi: What are the mysteries of the Lord? In Strong’s Greek Concordance, reference 3466, it tells us the word for mystery is the Greek word “musterion,” pronounced “moos-tay’-ree-on.” This word is derived from the root word “muo,” meaning “to shut the mouth.” It is a secret or “mystery” through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites.
Psalm 35:22 LORD, you have seen this; do not be silent.
Do not be far from me, Lord.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: During Bridal Prayer last Wednesday–our weekly prayer based on Galatians 4:19 for the formation of Christ in His Church — I saw a picture of us all throwing spears at each other, especially toward the ones sent by God to help us escape the funk we often find ourselves in; the ones sent to help us step into God’s presence, life and abundance. It was jealousy and fear, but we couldn’t see that; we were fixated on our losses and focused on ourselves. Hurling our spears, we sought to silence the new song and new hope rising.
Pastor John Tolle: My kids would cry and I would never leave them alone when they cried. That was my discipline. I loved them.
Brat: Like you do with me?
Psalm 35:12 They repay me evil for good
and leave me like one bereaved.
Pastor John Tolle: What’s the use of it all?
Lana Vawser: Due to a bad fall, I had a few months ago that resulted in a fracture in my spine and some ongoing things I have been dealing with since that incident, along with what we have felt the Lord speaking, we have felt we needed to postpone this upcoming trip to give me some time to heal.
Psalm 35:13 Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth
and humbled myself with fasting.
When my prayers returned to me unanswered,
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Joseph’s story resembles a novel more than does anything else in the Old Testament. This story, this novel, woven of material from various sources, extending throughout fourteen chapters in Genesis, is something complex, complicated, convoluted. Here is how Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel, Jewish scholar and storyteller, describes it: “an incredible epic, unfocused, panoramic, disdainful of detail and lacking the terseness and sobriety of a work of art.”
James Goll: “Confronting a Deaf and Dumb Spirit”
Pastor John Tolle: I can’t find it right now, but there is a passage in Isaiah 58 that talks about turning away the pointing finger then your light will shine.
David Slavin: The identity of our ministering angels is influenced by our actions.
Psalm 35:5 May they be like chaff before the wind,
with the angel of the LORD driving them away;
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: That’s what happens to Joseph on the outside. Can you imagine what happens on the inside? There in that empty well abandoned forever by his brothers? There in chains of slavery, being led to a distant land? The old Joseph, obnoxious and full of himself, dies a painful death. In his place appears a different Joseph, who on the exhausting trip to Egypt realizes he has been a fool.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Saul was man-centered rather than Christ- centered; he measured himself by others rather than in Christ (I say “in Christ” because even though He is not mentioned in Saul’s time, all of Scripture points to and is fulfilled in Jesus, the Word made flesh as explained in John 1). You know the story, found in 1 Samuel, chapters 16-31: After three missed opportunities to wait on God and honor His word, Saul found himself shut out and left in torment. When David, who was skilled on the harp to worship the Lord with song, played for Saul, Saul was released from his torment and could find peace. Saul had a capacity for God, but did not know how to find the Lord on his own. This was primarily because he had never chosen God above man. He needed someone else’s praise.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “I promised to support my son-in-law while he learns,” Reb Baruch informed the Maggid, “but while I have kept my part of the deal, he has let me down. Instead of learning, he comes here to Chernobyl. I refuse to support him any longer if he continues in this way. Tell me,” he asked Rabbi Nachum, “do you think it is right that so many young men whose parents are supporting them should spend their time here?”
Brat: I will not have a meltdown. Been there, done that.
Emily C. Heath: “Do you want to get well?”
Psalm 35:8 may ruin overtake them by surprise—
may the net they hid entangle them,
may they fall into the pit, to their ruin.
Brat: Did the Holocaust prisoners want to get free? They didn’t do anything to deserve the attempted annihilation that they got.
Pastor John Tolle: I know your hunger by the questions you ask and the prayers you pray.
Psalm 35:7 Since they hid their net for me without cause
and without cause dug a pit for me,
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: That Joseph is a person of great ability is not the point. The point is that he suffers, sometimes for a reason, sometimes for no reason, just as you and I suffer. He does not allow his suffering to crush him. He gains something valuable from it. Like us, Joseph has no choice as to whether or not he suffers. But, like us, he has a choice as to whether this suffering destroys him or transforms him.
Pastor John Tolle: Do I just arrogate my positions?
Psalm 35:16 Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked;
they gnashed their teeth at me.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Let’s take a quick look at Saul. He was a man head and shoulders above all of Israel. Chosen by God to be the first king of Israel, he nevertheless had a problem: He was chosen before he had chosen God himself. He was the consummate picture of a king made in the image of man. Therefore, his strength was his weakness. He was more concerned by what others thought and did than he was about the Lord who had chosen Him. In fact, Saul barely knew the Lord. Gifts, talents, and attributes of man can create such self-awareness that we have a difficult time building God- awareness. We can think like this: Sure, we need a Savior, but only so that we can do better and accomplish more. Whoa. Convicting!
Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 8 pm Journal (in “Note to Self”): Sophia called just as I got to my car after clocking out from work. She said she hears the beast rumbling. I heard this a couple of weeks ago, too, and I journaled about it. We also talked about how Time gets distorted and slows way down in the breach caused by sin, where it is particularly strong when someone or some group has been given a clear choice by God to repent and they deliberately choose not to. Sophia and I prayed down the beast, prayed Satan be thrown into the pit, and that Jezebel would feel all the pain she has caused us as she hangs on the cross for all eternity. Those were some powerful prayers. I told Sophia I was stuck and needed wisdom. The Funny Bunnies cluster like a group of junior high kids. It’s easy to see the outsider as your “enemy” when all your friends are standing with you. I had appreciated what Jesus had said to Sophia about how proud He was of her that she did not do finger-pointing. I don’t want to finger-point either, so how do we get to the bottom of this without naming names? Direct confrontation is useless since they treat me as if I don’t exist.
Psalm 35:14 I went about mourning
as though for my friend or brother.
I bowed my head in grief
as though weeping for my mother.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: For some of you, this may not resonate, but for many of us, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts about this will change our lives: Throwing spears is the opposite of throwing our hands up in praise. Rather than rising in faith, we rise in jealousy. We hurl our spear, our authority, and our weapon to silence praise and the new song, thinking it will silence our torment. We see someone else’s success or freedom in Jesus as a threat and accusation against us. We can feel that silencing them would free us, but oh, how wrong we are. Though this can initially sound like a harsh word, I truly believe God has a message of His true love and freedom for each one of us!
Psalm 35:11 Ruthless witnesses come forward;
they question me on things I know nothing about.
Anna Blake (18 Feb 19): Let Down
So convinced of her isolation, she had become
its primary cause. So exhausted to chance, she
had retreated to a fine-tuned invisibility. So work-
hardened by test, she had proven she could carry
the pain. Better to be alone than a fool. Held apart
so cold lack seemed a choice instead of a failure.
Make do with less rather than feel denied of
nourishment, starved of the earth’s kinship. As
if her disease was penance for the offense of taking
up space, she surrendered her airless voice. What
would it be to let down? To choose to rescue her
own self with courage found in the merciful shade
of another, gingerly giving over her most trusted
fear without guise? What would it be to belong?
Emily C. Heath: A Simple Question
Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 8:22 am Journal (in “Stroke of a Pen”): God said and we have been praying God’s kingdom in. God’s kingdom lasts forever, and yet the heartbreak keeps knocking. It was never God’s intention for Satan’s kingdom to last forever. Jo and I are not letting it in, but it is also not bringing in God’s kingdom.
Psalm 37:8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret–it leads only to evil.
Brat: It is only keeping Satan out as we guard ourselves from more narcissistic attacks and from loved ones and disappointments from hopes raised only to be dashed again; guarding from where we saw potential, but the prize for this marathon lap was once again given to someone else, even though an opportunity was verbally promised to us first.
But God said:
Psalm 37:1 Do not fret because of the wicked; do not be envious of wrongdoers,
Kevin Basconi: “The season of the testing and of the trying of your faith shall surely pass and all things will become new!”
Steve Shultz: “It Seems Odd but God WANTS You to Test Him!”
Pastor John Tolle: If I put understanding before obedience, your arguments will get in the way.
Verse of the Day (20 Feb 19): Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. ~ Proverbs 17:9 NIV
Candice Smithyman: One of the ways we can curtail our flesh in the midst of God’s many blessings is not to forget Him in the area of giving ourselves over to Him. God will bless us but we are not to make idols out of the blessing and forget all about Him. We must stay in a place of repentance and purity of heart. We must not become workaholics in all we’re doing, or ruminate so much on the blessing that we fail to take time to spend with Him. One of the ways we can prevent this is to do as Deuteronomy 8:16-20 (NIV) reads:
“He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you. You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today. If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.”
Pastor John Tolle: Delaying obedience to the Lord is still disobedience.
Brat (in “Stroke of a Pen” 19 Feb 19): I don’t know how the internal conversation turned or what she said that solicited my response, but it must have been something like “my people talking to your people” and I was on a third-party line, even though part of me was there. In any case, what I remember of this snapshot was that I gently took her face to draw her focus. I said, “If you could set aside distractions, maybe while the kids are napping, and not have any videos running or anything going just for twenty minutes and let Jesus take you into my Silence, the grinding SILENCE of this Holy Void that I did not cause or ask for from the Churches, and let Jesus show you a glimpse of this dysfunctional SILENCE which has been going on for TEN YEARS, and then let Him show you how amazing a miracle it is that the conversations I write and the journals I keep are a blessing and an outflow of listening, then I believe you may get a deeper understanding of how extraordinary this mercy is in a culture where Babylon reigns. Jesus had told the Seven Churches to hear what the Spirit says. My gift is that I have been doing just that. These scripts are proof. These scripts come out of time spent with God and listening to where the Holy Spirit is leading the conversation. But I cannot promote myself, and there is no one to hold accountable, because the beast is a narcissist and knows how to protect itself and make itself look good.
Psalm 35:6 may their path be dark and slippery,
with the angel of the LORD pursuing them.
Emily C. Heath: Truly, we who are “still sick and suffering” (and that includes the church) are not responsible for some things. But we are responsible for working with God towards our own recovery.
Gypsy Dallas Smith: Drop your pride and reach out to others and ask for help. Not everything we deal with is spiritual, sometimes we do have a chemical imbalance. Don’t be ashamed if you need to see a doctor for help!! Just because you are a Believer, does not mean you are immune and that you can just, “pray it away.” I believe in balance! Have wisdom, know when to pray and when to see a doctor.
Psalm 35:21 They sneer at me and say, “Aha! Aha!
With our own eyes we have seen it.”
Lana Vawser: The enemy is lying to you that you are being sucked dry. God is decreeing an OVERFLOW of revelation, encounter and deeper intimacy with Him.
Gypsy Dallas Smith: God is very aware of your situation and He will not leave you there to die. I speak life, I speak, hope and I speak peace over your mind and into your heart tonight! Isaiah 41:10
Revelation 11:8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.
Gypsy Dallas Smith: To all of you suffering with depression and hopelessness, I speak life and hope into you tonight. I know that you may feel alone and forgotten. I know you may feel tired and ready to give up. All hope is NOT lost my friends. The enemy has worked you over and you may feel that you are in the trenches, but God is a restorer. He WILL lift you up and out of that place. Even when you don’t feel like praising, turn on worship music. Your spirit hears it and is exhorted.
Pastor John Tolle: The Pharisees asked Jesus questions regarding His allegiance and to justify their argument in the setting they live. They accused Him of casting out demons because they said you’re a demon. We do that by pointing fingers.
Revelation 11:11 But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.
Psalm 35:20 They do not speak peaceably,
but devise false accusations
against those who live quietly in the land.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Feeling frustrated and rejected, his master’s wife insists that Joseph tried to rape her. This false charge sticks. A slave has no recourse. Joseph finds himself in a prison cell.
Psalm 35:19 Do not let those gloat over me
who are my enemies without cause;
do not let those who hate me without reason
maliciously wink the eye.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Praise: Wholehearted, fully- submitted praise to God takes away depression and clothes us with the garment of praise; as we move our attention away from ourselves and others and turn our affections to God, we are set free again to see and enjoy God.
Lana Vawser: Embrace the unexpected strategies and ways the Lord is using to bring this strengthening to you, even in the places you don’t understand, but you can CLEARLY see His hand.
Psalm 37:6 He will make your vindication shine like the light, and the justice of your cause like the noonday.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Worse yet, Joseph was a tattle-tale. He would tell Jacob all the bad things the other boys were saying, recounting them in detail. Joseph was very effective at making himself despised.
Psalm 35:15 But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee;
assailants gathered against me without my knowledge.
They slandered me without ceasing.
Revelation 2:23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: This is where we can let God examine our hearts.
Brat: Where is the Church? She’s been too busy following her lead. It’s easy to make me the “enemy” when the star is friends with everyone.
Psalm 35:9 Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD
and delight in his salvation.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: We also see that David’s intimacy with God threatened the king’s position. Where David could stay in the secret place in God, protected and hidden despite all the attempts on his life, Saul became more and more fearful and jealous. Saul saw David as a threat vs. a blessing. That’s when he started throwing spears. Imagine standing before a king, worshipping with your whole heart, willing to be vulnerable to carry others into your secret place with God. Suddenly, a spear is hurled at lightning speed toward your head. You barely have time to make a quick exit as the spear still wobbles in the wall where it embedded itself.
Pastor John Tolle: I love you, but I don’t believe what you’re doing is right.
Susan Michael, ICEJ (20 Feb 19): A Growing Concern
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: And then there were those dreams! Joseph was a dreamer. He saw his family bowing down to him in homage. He made the mistake of telling these dreams to his already exasperated brothers.
Brat (in “Frank & Myrrhy 6 Feb 19”): Yesterday I had said the Seven Churches in the Book of Revelation had fulfilled the scriptures and that that was good news.

Verse of the Day (18 Feb 19): For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 8:38-39 NIV
Brat: Rabbis? Are you out there?
Jason Gray: “Glow in the Dark” [https://youtu.be/16GBYoRWrMI]
Jennifer Brownell: Yes. Period.
Brat (19 Feb 19): Matthew 5:18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: The Joseph who stands before them is a gift-giving man. He bestows life.
Brat: The proverbial buck doesn’t stop anywhere. All the encouragement in the world won’t bring closure when there is no one to receive the gift.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “He asked to speak with the high priest, and was led to a man dressed in beautiful, majestic clothing. He had expected to see a saintly old man, and was unimpressed by this youth standing before him. Confused by the apparent lack of what he had always considered to be holy and respectful, he asked the high priest, ‘What makes this place unique? And what makes you more special than anyone else? Why do people flock to the Holy Temple three times a year?’
Zechariah 4:12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
Brat: There was no one to recognize the mercy when God brought it.”
Jeremiah 17:6 They shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when relief comes. They shall live in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.
Israel 365 (20 Feb 19): Redemption is Incumbent on Each Individual ✡ “Relief and deliverance will come to the Yehudim”
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The Baal Shem Tov explained to his close followers that this person had done the great mitzvah of saving a girl, the mitzvah of pidyon shevuyim (“redeeming captives”), and the Heavenly Court was so moved that it was decreed that whatever this person would ask for would be granted immediately. But then in Heaven a big debate ensued: how can a simple person be given such unbelievable power of blessing; maybe he will use it for the wrong ends? So they decreed that he would be a drunkard all the time and not even realize this power that was given to him.
Acts 2:14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel
Lana Vawser: He is at work, and He’s strengthening you in Him like never before to extend His Kingdom and fulfill your destiny.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: I have spoken to you in the name of the One who is ever at work bringing about our transformation: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: Let us use this occasion to pray to the Master of the Universe for all the right things. The collective Jewish people is living through difficult times and there are many things to pray for. May we all merit to see the arrival of Moshiach very soon.
Pastor John Tolle (17 Feb 19): Easter is ten weeks away from today.
Brat: So, why are you putting off for ten weeks what you could be doing today?
Sophia Buller: I feel it on my heart that it’s not long. Our Daddy Abba Papa is Coming SOON!!!
Pastor John Tolle (17 Feb 19): We are experiencing together that God is trying to make us a people who grab the Truth. We have substituted stuff for Jesus to tickle our emotions. It can appear that I’m judging other Christians, but I’m not. That’s not worth it.
Psalm 35:23 Awake, and rise to my defense!
Contend for me, my God and Lord.
Jesus to Sophia Buller: I AM the great I AM and I love you!!!
I created you!!!
I created you to love and be loved!!!
You have a truly loving and amazingly beautiful heart MY darling child!!!
I AM soooooooo very proud of you!!! Believe that truth!!!!!!! You ARE worth it!!! Remember that you ARE and have ALWAYS been worth it!!!
You are NEVER alone!!! I AM ALWAYS with you!!!
I AM true and your first love that will NEVER leave or forsake you MY beautifully precious child!!!

among the throngs I will praise you.
Israel 365 (19 Feb 19): What is Zionism? ✡ “For the earth shall be filled With awe for the glory of Hashem”
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Joseph is thankful for everything that has happened since that long-ago time.
Pastor John Tolle: I see what God’s trying to do in my life.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: Joseph in prison remains a man of dreams. Through these dreams, God speaks to him. This familiarity with dreams, Joseph’s wisdom in understanding them, results in a remarkable chain of events that brings this lowly prisoner to the attention of the Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.
David Slavin: Second: This is the opposite of the above. That is the convert, the Baal Teshuva — the repentant, and others. In other words they were on the outside, meaning they were under the rule of the Yetzer Hara, yet they have divested themselves of that force and have subjugated their Yetzer Hara. And now they have entered into the realm of holiness and have drawn upon themselves the rulership of all supernal holy forces, and have channeled all their attributes to holiness.
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: According to Elie Wiesel, there are many stories about Joseph that add to what we find in the Bible. One of them takes place when he and his brothers return home from their father’s funeral. On the way back, Joseph makes a detour and stops at that empty well which once held him captive.
Lana Vawser: The Lord is strengthening hearts again in faith, in hope, in dreaming again and in freedom. The Lord is leading His people out of many, many years of captivity. The Lord is bringing forth a new strength by His Spirit within His people that is unlike anything they have experienced before.
Rick Joyner: For this reason, it seems that one of our basic purposes as a nation is to be a haven for the persecuted Christians and Jews. To this day, Christians and Jews remain the most persecuted people of all. This is not to say that we should not be a haven for other persecuted peoples, but a main purpose that we have is to be a haven for persecuted Christians and Jews, the people who have carried the seed of Christ—the “man-child.”
Brat to The Rev. Charles Wynder, Jr. (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): I realize it is a break with protocol to reach out to the bishop’s office instead of following the chain of command from the bottom up to try and get one’s voice heard, but I’ve tried that to no avail. I don’t know where else to turn. Gifts are meant to be shared (and to find a home.)
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: On his ancient father, he bestows life by inviting him to a new home. The old man, once brokenhearted by his loss, experiences resurrection because his son still lives.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The Power of Prayer on Purim Katan (“Little Purim”)
Psalm 35:28 My tongue will proclaim your righteousness,
your praises all day long.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Back to the prayer meeting last week. . .To be honest, the whole thing surprised me. I wasn’t planning to be overcome in the Spirit by this intense intercession. I began to repent for all of our stubbornness, indifference and unwillingness to be led into true worship before God. Whether sitting or standing, but not fully engaging in singing and raising our hands, I saw us stewing in our own troubles. I repented for throwing spears at all those worshipping in true freedom before God; I repented for all the times we had not submitted to being led or to receive the new song and new sound. I repented of the pride and jealousy that creeps into our hearts and causes us to resist the Spirit, the words being sung, the prophecies released and uttered. Indifference instead of childlike wonderment intact, we wonder what the big deal is. Rather than praising Christ fervently and pulling intentionally on the Holy Spirit, we sit, heartbroken, lost in our grief or bitterness of life. We refuse the one thing that will obliterate our torment: PRAISING JESUS!
Psalm 35:10 My whole being will exclaim,
“Who is like you, LORD?
You rescue the poor from those too strong for them,
the poor and needy from those who rob them.”
Rev. Charles Hoffacker: For a long time, he stands at the well’s edge and looks down into the darkness. His brothers assume that he does this to remind them of how they once mistreated him. But that is not the reason! He stares into the well, that place where his transformation began, to remember his past and express gratitude to God.
Simcha Benyosef: The revealed Torah, Written and Oral, is transmitted in the form of letters. The letters are like vessels containing the light, condensing it to fit their size and quality. Yet, since the mysteries of the Torah are the very essence of the Infinite Light, the finite quality of the letters cannot represent this source of wisdom in all its complexity. The wisdom cannot be captured in words, but remains in the aspect of “sight and perception” – a seeing with the heart.
Psalm 35:27 May those who delight in my vindication
shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say, “The LORD be exalted,
who delights in the well-being of his servant.”
Simcha Benyosef: Revealing the Concealed
Pastor Steve Dittmar: Then I remembered King David and how he had danced with all his might before the Lord as the priests carried the ark on their shoulders into Jerusalem, only to have Michal, his wife, despise him in her heart. “No, I will not be silent,” I said within myself, in my heart of hearts. “Saul is not our worship leader, David is!” With that, I saw all of us wholeheartedly, self- abandoned, worshipping before the Lord, like David: secure in God’s love, oblivious to our station in life, our situations, our impossibilities. . . In humility and in awe, we were worshipping the Lord.
Brat: The only thing pending is for the books to be opened to show what God (and we) have done.
Lana Vawser: Friend, today I prophesy over you that there is a NEW STRENGTH that is upon you by the power of His Spirit. The weariness you have known, the pain you have known, the areas that have zapped your strength, the Lord is bringing HEALING and restoration. He is bringing a strengthening that you have never known to go further than you have been, higher than you have flown, deeper than you have dived with Him into the depths of intimacy and wider than you have ever reached.
Brat (in “Righteous Nation” 5 Feb 19): God, from the bottom of my heart I ask You to bless the nation that provides a receptacle for that faith to be nurtured and respected; for the word to be honored. There is nowhere to go when more gridlock silence is received after sharing. You have led the Seven Churches in the Book of Revelation through fulfilling the scriptures up to the opening up of the books. That speaks of accountability.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Brat: Without the official Church acknowledging this amazing accomplishment, won’t we just keep repeating the same cycles? Isn’t fulfillment of scripture really good news that needs validation and closure so that that good news can be passed along to the greater Body?

Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: I will be in NY and LA from February 17th – March 7th.
Brat: He told me to take him off my list. Even though I don’t have a “list” I must respect that, but how do I reach him?

Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Chris Davies: So I did. I drew a tiny figure of myself and a big cloud full of all the negative self-talk and overwhelming trauma that surrounds what it means to be attentive to the state of the world, today.
Revelation 16:19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.

Brat: I sent you my response to ‘The God of Time’ and you reply with a fancy new webpage?
Patheos: The Pope’s Summit Needs to Do a Full Accounting
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: When Rabbi Shimon heard about Alexander and the Samaritans, even though there was a siege on Jerusalem, he put on the special eight garments of the High Priest and, with a large entourage, left Jerusalem to meet with Alexander. When Alexander saw the wondrous splendor of Rabbi Shimon, he dismounted and bowed to him. In the end the evil decree was rescinded.
Jesus to Sophia: I KNOW what it’s like to have “religious leaders” turn ME into something I’m not. I KNOW how frustrating it IS!!! You have MY heart MY darling child!!!!! YOU ARE MINE!!! You’re heart IS PRECIOUS!!! Let ME speak life into you!!! When I see you I see MY PRECIOUS ruby!!! I see MY dazzling emerald!!! I see MY strong diamond!!! I see MY BEAUTIFUL opal!!! I SEE MY refined onyx!!! I see MY pearl of great worth!!! I see MY kind hearted child who has the beautiful boldness of a lion!! I see MY PRICELESS daughter who even in the mist of suffering gave even more of herself and you ARE MINE Sophia!!! You ARE WORTHY and you ARE WANTED!!! YOU ARE ENOUGH!!! YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ENOUGH!!! I’ve been revealing the TRUTH!!! NOTHING and NO ONE can change MY LOVE FOR YOU!!!
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Up until now, throughout all the centuries of Jewish history, only the gifted few studied the secrets of the Torah in its most sublime expression. But this was only appropriate when the world was moving in an orderly fashion, each aspect in proper proportions. But when there is “A time to do for G-d”, when entire systems are in danger of collapsing, then it is appropriate to wear even the garments of the High Priest out in the countryside and not only in the Holy Temple and Jerusalem! When we understand this concept and use it properly, we are able to nullify all the negative decrees that go against serving G-d in the best way. Ultimately, like in the episode with Alexander the Great, we will be able to protect the Holy Temple that exists in the heart of every single Jewish person that not one should be lost or even hurt in any way. (From Likrat Shabbat according to Collected Talks of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Torat Menachem. Volume 18. Page 232 and onward.)
Anna Blake: Dictionary result for respect/noun: a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.
Chris Davies: “Have you tried coloring?” they asked. “Write out all your stuff!”
Anna Blake: Surprised? Have we had the meaning backward? Is this why some say respect can’t be demanded but must be earned? But isn’t that still all about us?
Rabbi Avraham Brandwein: This crushing is the suffering that precedes the path of Torah, after which a person comes to illumination and he merits to see that all of the concealments were for the sake of good.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: One of the questions the Talmud asks about this historical event was how did Rabbi Shimon have the audacity to wear the priestly robes outside of the Temple compound to greet Alexander? One of the laws of the Temple is that it is forbidden to wear these special garments outside of the Temple, in the medina, the countryside. The Talmud answers with the verse, “When there is a time to do for G-d, shame the Torah.” The Talmud explains that when a critical time comes where something must be done for G-d’s sake to preserve G-d’s holy name it is permissible to not follow the Torah’s laws (see Rashi on that verse, Tehillim (Psalms) 119:126 עת לעשות לה’ הפרו תורתך).
Brat: I’ve just been talking about that shame. I shared that from my personal experience and got more silence. I wondered if it was the Church’s own shame that I was picking up, because I am sensitive.
James Goll: For example, let’s say I get a revelation about a political situation, but it happens to touch on a sensitive area in my own experience. If I have hung on to bitterness, for example, my revelation will be tainted by my bitter opinion, which will render my revelation worthless to the kingdom of God.
Brat: Wait a minute!
Rabbi Avraham Brandwein: The concealment of G-d’s supervision of His Creation may lead a person to think that there is no law and no judge. This lack of understanding is symbolized by the bitter olive, which must be crushed, smashed and hit in order to release the light buried within.
Yerachmiel Tilles: As told by a current resident of Tzefat, who was then a student in New York.
Zechariah 4:12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): Sophia corrected me and said it’s not about getting people to read me (or watch her videos on U-tube). My head understands that. My heart doesn’t. I was amazed that Sophia was even reading my stuff. The loneliness and isolation of hardly any feedback is grinding on my sense of purpose. If I have a team to work with who values my work as a valid contribution to the greater whole, then I’ll be able to see how our parts are fitting together, see where God is leading, and encourage the progress. As it is, it is still just outflow and that is not fair (or healthy.) There’s still no accountability.
Jesus to Sophia: You have given when you had only a small amount to yourself, don’t think that I haven’t seen your sacrifice!!! People are waking up right now and LOVE is returning as we speak!!! I Know you feel the LOVE!!!
Foursquare: Your story is not too much for Me to handle
Brat: Yah, Foursquare, I know you do. Everybody has a handler.
Goodreads (14 Feb 19): Michelle is now following your reviews on Goodreads. There is now 1 person following your reviews.
Brat: This is painfully ironic that I get one “follower” who wants to follow my reviews of other people’s books, but God’s books can’t get opened? This is just more beastly maneuvers and I will not be shaken.
Anna Blake: Does Your Horse “Respect” You?
Johnny Enlow: Let’s stay encouraged at what God is doing and let’s not flinch or blink as we see the enemy overreact.
James Goll: I need to be mindful of the influences that may come to bear on my thoughts and prayers and especially on the way I communicate. As I test the spirits around me, I need to include my own spirit, continually consulting with the Holy Spirit for guidance as to what to do.
Anna Blake: The word “respect” has been kidnapped and held against its will. It’s been bullied into being a code word for all kinds of behaviors that I, well, do not respect. Respect is a lofty ideal that has been sullied to mean domination and control, based in fear, so insecure humans can bolster their egos, making themselves right by making others wrong. It’s seeing fear in an animal and being proud that you put it there. There’s a sales pitch for this kind of training and it sounds reasonable, especially if you don’t read horses well or think they are “dumb” animals. Domination training has been around for centuries.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: In a different place in the Talmud (Sanhedrin 39a) it teaches that G-d is (in a certain sense, like) a priest of the Temple. What He tells us to do, He does himself. And the priestly garments are G-d’s garments, which refers to the Torah. How do we know this? The Torah is G-d’s garments as it says in the verse from Tehillim (Psalms) 104:2, “You (G-d) enwrap yourself with light as with a garment.” What garment is G-d’s garment? How do we experience Him? Through the Torah which is written with black fire on white fire (see Rashi, Devarim 23:2). In particular, this Torah that is hinted to as garments is referring to the inner dimension of the Torah and its secrets, Kabbalah and Chassidut, because it is in this inner dimension that you can actually sense G-d’s presence.
James Goll: God will help us identify our prejudices, whether they are personal, geographical, cultural, denominational, or whatever.
Patheos: Grownup Love: A Post for Valentine’s Day | Valentine’s Day for Buddhists, a Warning
Anna Blake: Some of us relate to horses when the misuse of the concept of “respect” comes up in training. We have experiences with being told to “respect” things that did not deserve respect; adults who were cruel, rules that were demeaning, philosophies that made us second class citizens. The word respect has been bruised and misused, but for compassion and equality to exist, that old-fashioned respect must be rescued. And I mean the word rescue in the abused horse sense; see it standing knee-deep in manure, malnourished with dead eyes.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: What lesson can we take from this story for our own lives?
Chris Davies: My art then shifted into a testimony of survival and the care of my community. I remembered that we can’t do this alone and we must ask for help. That care for our communities is self-care. We’re intimately connected, one to the other, and God is the energetic thread of love that binds us together. We meet each other where we are—sometimes in the shit and the muck and the mire—and love each other into remembering who we are and Whose we are.
Jesus to Sophia: Sophia you have NEVER fallen out of MY GRACE!!! When you were accused you displayed beautiful grace. You didn’t point fingers, you LOVED with EVERYTHING you had!!! You didn’t demand your rights, you tried to understand. You have no idea how PLEASED with you I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM PLEASED!!! BEYOND PLEASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Goll: Gracious Father, I thank You for Your great love. I want to be rooted and established in it. I declare that I trust in Your ability to lead and protect me more than I trust in the devil’s power to deceive me. Furthermore, I declare that I have not received a spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind. I choose to honor Your Word by examining everything in light of it and holding on to that which is good. I choose to honor those in authority over me, while asking that You sharpen my own capacity to grow in discernment from the Holy Spirit. Keep my feet firmly on Your path and my eyes clear with Your light. Without You, I am more helpless than an infant. With You, I am victorious over every enemy assault. I pray this in the name of Your Son Jesus. Amen.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: His generals asked him how he, the greatest leader of the world, could bow to a lowly Jew? Alexander answered that in his dreams before each battle he saw Rabbi Shimon dressed in his holy robes, encouraging him with blessings of success. From then on Alexander was a benevolent ruler, leaving the Jews and their culture alone.
Brat: Rabbi? Will you come anyway? If so, on what day?

Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: In this week’s Torah reading, G d commands Moses to make the eight garments of the High Priest. Two of these were the apron (ephod (see Ex. 28:6-12)) and the breastplate (choshen (see ibid. 28:15-30)). The breastplate was a doubled-over piece of fabric that rested on the chest of the High Priest, hanging by chains from the shoulder straps of the ephod and fastened by a sash to the waist section of the ephod. Inside the doubled fabric was inserted a parchment inscribed with G d’s Name, called the “urim v’tumim” (“lights and perfections” (ibid. 28:30)) The urim v’tumim served as a divine oracle that enabled the High Priest to respond to questions of national consequence.
Breaking Israel News (14 Feb 19): Which Nation Will Be The Last To Oppress The Jews, and Which Will Make it to The End Of Days?
Pastor John Tolle: Mark 12:29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: When the Holy One Blessed be He created Man, He made him in the form of the spiritual world. He breathed into him a holy soul made of three parts.
Pastor John Tolle: Mark 12:30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: And if a person is seen to have these three soul levels [because he learns Torah, is engaged in worshiping his Master and does practical mitzvot] how will one know whether to befriend him?
Pastor John Tolle: Mark 12:31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Dr. Bruce Cook: God is love, and you and I are created in His image. Love is the essence and the apex of who God is, and is the basis for everything that He does along with His foundations of justice and righteousness. Ps. 33:5 says, “The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His unfailing love.” Ps. 89:14 adds, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before You.”
Quinn G. Caldwell: Glory’s like this, too. Probably that’s why in paintings it’s always depicted as light: halos, beams, nimbuses. Unascribed glory isn’t glory; it isn’t anything. Glory just isn’t itself unless it’s traveling, unless you’re giving it away. Keep it to yourself, and it is nothing, does nothing, cannot signify. Shine it at an unworthy target, and it just dies.
Dr. Bruce Cook: “Love is the essence and the apex of who God is, and the basis for everything that He does, along with His foundations of justice and righteousness.”
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: And if a person doesn’t guard her [his Neshama], and he uproots that holiness from its place and causes the Other Side to dwell there instead, he is certainly a person who is a rebel against his Master. It is forbidden to draw near to him or to befriend him.
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): …She also said the beast was angry. My head went up. The Ascent rabbis TODAY had sent a piece on anger. I don’t know how this fits in, but I saw some connections in the spirit.
Quinn G. Caldwell: Hear and give ear; do not be haughty,
or the LORD has spoken.
Give glory to the LORD your God
before she brings darkness. – Jeremiah 13:15-16
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: This sort of person does get angry, but never loses control by saying bad things or acting uncontrollably, which are outer manifestations of inner disunity, that effects all the spiritual levels, as explained.
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): This is where the terrifying portion of my day occurred. After Rabbi Zoë’s article was a two-page spread of a Yom Kippur prayer guide. They were prayers on various topics. They were each well-thought out. What horrified me was that I could not sit with those prayers. I could barely read them (and each was only a short paragraph.) Each prayer contained meaning and depth for the soul to meditate on. To my own horror I could not. I discovered a burning lake of sulfur in my soul that boiled with shame and contempt. My prayers and writings have been met by the Church with dread, shame, humiliation, attention deficit, and excruciating pain; all the things Rabbi Zoë talked about. It’s been a journey of spiritual rape.

Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: Thus, “to cling to the body of G d” means to emulate His emotions. As our Sages say, “What does it mean: ‘You shall walk after the L-rd, your G d’? (Deut. 13:5) Is it possible for a human being to walk after the Divine Presence? Is it not written, ‘For G d, your G d, is a devouring fire’? (Ibid. 4:24) Rather, it means to emulate G d’s attributes. As He clothes the naked…so should you also clothe naked. G d visits the sick…so should you also visit the sick. G d comforts mourners…so should you also comfort mourners. G d buries the dead…so should you also bury the dead.” (Sotah 14a)
1 Corinthians 15:15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ–whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
Queen: “We Will Rock You!” [https://youtu.be/4I7hjSERKwA]
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: Once the unity is broken, and the Other Side has control of a person such that his passion rules his mind, his body is empty of holiness and does not return even when his anger abates.
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: Then Saul, [realizing the urim v’tumim did not work because someone in his army had sinned,] said, “Come forward, all chief officers of the troops, and find out how this guilt was incurred today. For as G d, who brings victory to Israel, lives: even if [this sin] was through my son Jonathan, [the sinner] shall be put to death!” Not one soldier answered him. And he said to all the Israelites, “You stand on one side, and my son Jonathan and I shall stand on the other.” The troops said to Saul, “Do what you think is proper.”
Steve Shultz: And please determine not to quickly “pass judgment” on the way God has chosen to move next, because by so doing, you could miss God’s next move entirely!
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): I woke up praying heavily for the bishops. I went back and reread “Half Birthed” while playing “God Only Knows” over and over again. [https://youtu.be/Q5cPQg3oq-o] Then I went into my inbox and the Arc Speak to “Character of Love” and my journal “Deliver Us” that I’d typed up last night and emailed to Jo was too much. Jo’d responded, “To be heard is maybe one of the most important things we experience in this life.” I put the Arc Speak from the Funny Bunnies in the book, interspersed with lyrics from “God Only Knows.” No one would believe this otherwise, and it is crazy-making.
Dr. Bruce Cook: Rom. 13:8,10 goes a step further and adds, “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law…Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Our love for our fellow man and our restraint from harming a neighbor are further proofs and conditions of agape love.
Brat: It is not loving to turn a blind eye to wrongs.
Revelation 13: 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man: His number is 666.
Breaking Israel News (14 Feb 19): Temple Mount Prophecy Taking Place Precisely on Schedule and Today’s Top Stories
Dr. Bruce Cook: That means everything that happens on the Mountain of the Lord (the 8th Mountain, Mt. Zion, Heaven) stems from His love. That also means that everything that we receive from the Lord during our encounters with Him will radiate with His love! 1 John 4:18-19 says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.”
Brat (in “Character of Love” 12 Feb 19): It is not my intention to merely throw scripture around like my religious brethren, but to break it down into parts to show what God is doing. May we be faithful stewards of God’s conversation.
Kathie Walters: There are mindsets and thought patterns that are religious and very crippling. There is no way we can run unless they are broken. It’s like trying to fly with a broken wing. His ways are not our religious ways. There are so many things that God wants to do but somehow we think, “He wouldn’t do this, and He wouldn’t do that…” because we haven’t seen it or we have a certain mindset. Three times last year God told me I was so religious.
Revelation 17: 9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.
Demi Lavato: “Stone Cold” [https://youtu.be/WDAd0S92Uko]
Dr. Bruce Cook: Love is not a feeling; it is an action. Real love has healthy boundaries, just as God does. Eph. 4:15 tells us to be “speaking the truth in love.” That takes humility, wisdom, discernment, courage and tact or diplomacy at times. 1 John 3:16-18 (NIV) says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” “…faith without works is dead…” (Jas. 2:26).
Brian Simmons (14 Feb 19): I Hear His Whisper…”I am enough.”
Brat: God is enough, you’re not. None of us are! That’s why we’re supposed to be working together!
American Friends of Magen David Adom (14 Feb 19): THEY LOVE BECAUSE YOU LOVED
Kathie Walters: A powerful anointing was released on the 4th of February (Bob Jones’ birthday). Are you going to catch the ball and run—run past your own expectations, and see much more? The supernatural realm is normal for us and it is much more than we can wrap our minds around. Let’s watch God make a great display!
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: The full passage is: Saul said [to his soldiers], “Let us go down after the Philistines by night and plunder them until the light of morning; and let us not leave a single survivor among them.” “Do whatever you think is good,” they replied. But the priest said, “Let us approach God first.” So Saul inquired of God [through the urim v’tumim], “Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will You deliver them into the hands of Israel?” But this time He did not respond to him.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: How can it be proved as to whether he has stood up for his existence to know himself [and the workings of these three levels]? It is while he is actually being angry that you can know a person and acquaint yourself with who he really is. If he protects his holy soul at the time when he is angry and doesn’t uproot her from her place [in his consciousness] because he is under the control of that foreign deity [his ego and its spiritual idolatrous counterpart], then he is a worthy person. This is a real servant of his Master. This is a complete man.
Dr. Bruce Cook: Love of the brethren is also a proof that the agape love of God dwells in us, and that we are His disciples. Jesus, in His final discourse to His disciples before His betrayal and crucifixion, prayed for them in John 17 and said, in part, “I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are one—I in them and You in Me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me…I have made You known to them and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Me may be in them and that I Myself may be in them” (John 17:22-23,26).
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: Similarly, it is written, “Jacob was a sincere [in Hebrew, ‘tam’] man,” (Gen. 25:27) implying that he clung to the body of the King.
Ellie Holcomb: With You Now [https://youtu.be/ZzfCr8QOfYU]
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: Whereas Abraham personified G d’s “right hand”, the side of chesed, and Isaac personified G d’s “left hand”, the side of gevura, Jacob personified G d’s “torso”, the middle axis of tiferet, the pivot and fusion of all the emotions. Here, the mystical association of tam with tumim and tumim with G d’s “body” alludes to this, for the verse can be read “Jacob was a man of the tumim,” which in turn means “Jacob was a man associated with [G d’s] ‘body.'”
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): Sophia just called again. I’m so grateful, God, that she did! Her call gave me a needed infusion of hope and joy. I had acted in obedience and once again reached out to the bishop’s office with the “Valentine Delivery” letter. It was after 3 pm here, so it would have been after 7 pm there on the East Coast when it arrived in his inbox. Even though I’d prayed again before I sent it, I don’t hold out much hope. But the Episcopalians were the first God sent me to and He said the first would be last.
Ben Lim (in “Character of Love” 12 Feb 19): This is a year where the Lord is about to reward His saints and His sons with great oil and fire. The Lord is about to distinguish His people with such a glory that all of creation has been waiting for. As the Elijahs rise, the Jezebels and all of their false prophets will fall.
Luke 6:26 “Woe to you when all speak well of you, for that is what their ancestors did to the false prophets.”
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: One who becomes a friend with him and one who speaks to him, is like one who connects with actual idolatry. The reason is because actual idolatry dwells within him and he has also uprooted the higher holiness from its place [in him through his anger]. In its place dwells idol worship, and a foreign deity.
Pastor John Tolle: Mark 12:34a Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: Just as it says about idol worship: “Do not turn to idols” (Lev. 19:4) [that it is forbidden to gaze upon idols], in the same way it is forbidden to look at the face of an angry person.
Brat (7 Feb 19): Thank you for this encouragement. I needed this. I am in the midst of the spiritual siege, along with everyone else in my orbit. Energetically it looks like when a computer fragments and you see what looks like broken shards across the screen, because it cannot hold its integrity. I speak anchored peace into the storm! The beast is like the computer. But a computer is just a tool. We use tools in our assignments to complete our missions. We do not worship tools as idols. We worship the living One True God! Jesus is holy and He will have holiness return to His house! AMEN!
Quinn G. Caldwell: It is a peculiarity of light that it stops being itself if it stops moving. Unlike most things, light literally becomes something else if it’s not radiating. Light isn’t any use (to a human, anyway) unless it’s bouncing off something and hitting you in the eye. Next time the power goes out, try just carrying an unlit flashlight around the house and see how much good it does you. Or shine a spotlight straight up into the night sky, or into a black fluffy blanket, and see how useful that is.
Dr. Bruce Cook: We will become champions and conveyors of the agape love of God! Everything that the Lord leads us to do will become unique messages of His agape love to the world through us. The nature of the agape love of God in us is to overflow to others to bless them, which is the foundation for giving as God intended. The ultimate example of giving that flowed from the agape love of God is found in John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Just as God expressed His love to the world through giving us His only begotten Son, He will also express His love inside of us to the world by leading us to give to others—at times sacrificially.
Queen: “We Are the Champions!” [https://youtu.be/04854XqcfCY]
Brat (in “Valentine Delivery” 13 Feb 19): Loaves and fishes, Lord. I offer my gifts for Your will to be done.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: Instead of accepting the will of G d, the angry person believes that his anger will achieve what he thinks he needs. He is placing his belief in a foreign deity because he wants something outside the situation he is confronted with. This very situation comes from G d, and yet he is furious with it! His whole worldview is therefore “d-anger-ous” to a person who believes in Divine Providence and does the will of G d.
Kathie Walters: I have been in moves of the Spirit where God just took over. He didn’t ask for anyone’s approval or permission. Mind you, He knows when your heart is open and when you just want Him to do whatever He wants.
Pastor John Tolle: Mark 12:33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: “For what is he to be considered worthy?” He is worthy [only] for idol worship [since he has become an altar offering sacrifices to that side].
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles (in “Traffic Light” 7 Feb 19): That which is spiritual requires no space and is not restricted by space.
Brat: The Holy Spirit lives in you and you don’t need sanctuary?
Psalm 138:2 I bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness; for You have exalted Your name and Your word above everything.
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: By revocalizing the Hebrew word for “whole”, “tamim”, it may be read “tumim”. Thus, the verse can be read to mean “You shall [consult] the tumim only when you are with G d, your G d [i.e. in His sanctuary]”.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: Rebbe Yehuda, analyzing the sacrificial offerings mentioned in this week’s Torah portion, compares their purity with the consequences of anger. The connection is that a person who is angry is sacrificing his senses to the blood of his passions. This is a form of idol-worship.
Pastor John Tolle: READ: Mark 12:28 (NKJV) Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”
Dr. Bruce Cook: “Agape love is the kind of love that enables us to forgive, to reconcile and to pray for our enemies and for those who despitefully use us, abuse us, and persecute us.”
Revelation 2:1 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: It is therefore written in that context, “Bring [in Hebrew, ‘havah’] a correct [‘tamim’] answer.” (Samuel I 14:41)
Journal (in “Captivity” 24 Jan 19): The mighty angel in Revelation 10 planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. (Rev 10:2) There is the beast that comes out of the sea (Rev 13:1) and the beast that comes out of the earth (Rev 13:11). Does this angel fight the beasts? It is the men who ask, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: Here the message is clear. Do not confront anger in another person – perhaps encourage them to take a deep breath!
Pastor John Tolle: Mark 12:32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
Revelation 2: 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: Saul then said to G d, “G d of Israel, Bring a correct tamim .” Jonathan and Saul were indicated by lot, and the troops were cleared. And Saul said, “Cast the lots between my son and me”; and Jonathan was indicated. Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me, what have you done?” (Ibid. 14:36-43)
Pastor John Tolle: But after that no one dared question Him. (Mark 12:34b)
Brat: So, how do we get to accountability? You knew and did nothing.

Character of Love 12 Feb 19

Verse of the Day (12 Feb 19): Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ~ 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 NIV
James Goll: Why We Must Confront the Deaf and Dumb Spirit in This Hour
Ben Lim: “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:14 ESV)
Vince Amlin: Some People Are Saying…
Ben Lim: Because you have kept your mouth silent, the Lord is going to roar on your behalf. Because you have held yourself back, the Lord is about to pour out His Spirit. Because you have kept your self from moving or acting out in defense, the Lord is about the defend you. “Vengeance is Mine,” says the Lord! The Lord is fighting your battles and He is fighting on your behalf! The God of angel armies is releasing reinforcements to enforce the precious ones who He has endorsed!
Revelation 19:14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
Sophia Valentina Buller: WOW!!! GOD WANTED US!!! THE CROSS!!! WOW!!! WE WERE ALWAYS WANTED!!!
James Goll: God wants you to hear clearly and declare the Word of the Lord freely. But there are forces of darkness that you must confront in order to be effective in your mission. Jesus told His disciples as recorded in Matthew 13:43, “Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.” You are called to confront and dislodge the demonic power that hinders you from hearing the Holy Spirit and attempts to rob you of your capacity to speak clearly.
Brat: It is not my intention to merely throw scripture around like my religious brethren, but to break it down into parts to show what God is doing. May we be faithful stewards of God’s conversation.
Rick Joyner: About two decades ago I began a study to see if I could find a special covenant or mandate that God had given to our country. My prayer for this was Psalm 90:16-17: “Let Your work appear to Your servants and Your majesty to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and confirm for us the work of our hands; yes, confirm the work of our hands.” I asked to see His hand and guidance in the founding of our nation, and by this understand His purpose so that our work and prayers for the country would be toward the fulfillment of His purpose, not just certain political goals.
Wanda Alger: In previous years, the Lord poured out a gift of “holy laughter” on the Body of Christ. Its purpose was to diffuse and unseat a religious spirit that was taking over the Church. It was a demonstration of His character, and reminder of the fruit of the Spirit for us as Believers. However, the joy in this season is not just for ourselves—it’s for others, as we stand in the gap of prayer together, displacing the demonic strongholds that are seeking to devour our nation through fear and terror. It is fueled by faith and releases supernatural power to depose principalities.
Sophia Valentina Buller: HOW DARE THE ENENMY THINK HE COULD KEEP OUR PAPA GOD FROM US!!! HE’S COMING HOME SOON!!! CAN YOU FEEL THE JOY!!! GOD’S HEART!!! WOW!!!
Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed are those who trust in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: This [separation between the light of the Divine, Zeir Anpin and malchut/physical reality] is what caused the destruction of the Temple in the days of Jeremiah. Even though the Temple was subsequently rebuilt, the light of the Divine Presence [the Shechinah] did not fully return. (Yoma 21b)
Breaking Israel News (12 Feb 19): A Blessing and a Curse
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus says the LORD: Cursed are those who trust in mere mortals and make mere flesh their strength, whose hearts turn away from the LORD.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: [The fact that the Shechinah did not return] is hinted in the very name of the prophet that foretold the destruction of the First Temple: Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is devious above all else; it is perverse– who can understand it?
Rachel Hackenberg: Sensual
For King & Country: “God Only Knows” [https://youtu.be/Q5cPQg3oq-o]
Rachel Hackenberg: How beautiful you are, my love,
how very beautiful!
Your hair is like goats along the hills;
your teeth are like shorn ewes that have been washed;
your lips are like a crimson thread—so lovely;
your cheeks are like pomegranate halves. – Song of Songs 4:1-3
Brat (in “Mentor” 10 Jan 19): I’m not disputing that. I’m saying there must be a response from the teacher to the student and not always outbound creativity from the student for the teacher to get off on.
Ben Lim: The Lord has been revealing the hearts of many in this hour. The Lord has been proving those who are truly His. Those who have passed the test and the purging of God’s refining fire are moving through into the ushering of the greatest inheritance of the Promise Land!
Brat (in “Not Provoked” 27 Jan 19): This must have been Arc Speak to the clarion call for the return of the fathers. Where are the real men? To the boners: I’m not your ‘Promised Land’ that the spies were sent to report on and conquer.
Jeremiah 7:27 “When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.
Rachel Hackenberg: It’s also possible, despite (or because of!) its location in the middle of the Bible, that it’s a poem of physical adoration, a celebration of human beauty, an unapologetic delight in the joys of sensuality. The poet gazes upon a beloved and cannot cease in adoration.
Breaking Israel News (11 Feb 19): Sanhedrin Calls for Nations To Observe Sexual Purity for Role in Third Temple
Vince Amlin: Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness. Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” – Psalm 115:1-2
Brat: “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” God sent Samuel into the Institution and Eli couldn’t see or hear it either. Same here into the arena to which God sent me.
Luke 6:22 “Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
Jennifer Martin: They will fight the system and be rejected, wounded by religion. They will come out of great darkness, breaking the power of sin. They may bear these wounds, but their hearts will be pure.
Sophia Valentina Buller: The enemy wanted to push God away from those God created to try to steal God’s place as God.
Pastor Steve Dittmar: All right, we have the armor on. Yeah, it’s huge; I mean, it’s really big. It ought to be, it’s God’s warrior suit and that suit is named JESUS! Clothed with Christ (see Romans 13:14), we’ll grow up into this armor; we will become comfortable wearing it, and confident in it, until no one will know it’s just us inside. The devil will think it’s Jesus.
Ben Lim: This is a year where the Lord is about to reward His saints and His sons with great oil and fire. The Lord is about to distinguish His people with such a glory that all of creation has been waiting for. As the Elijahs rise, the Jezebels and all of their false prophets will fall.
Luke 6:26 “Woe to you when all speak well of you, for that is what their ancestors did to the false prophets.”
Wanda Alger: The Righteous Judge is issuing an invitation into the courts of Heaven to present cases before the throne with absolute confidence in His Word, His power, and His purpose. He is also giving opportunities to come alongside the rising sons and daughters of faith who need your perspective, your counsel, and the legacy you carry. Where your accuser has sentenced you with a spirit of heaviness, the Judge is now rendering a new verdict of JOY for the future. Through the victory of the Cross, you can move forward with great freedom and anticipation of what He will do through your faithful partnership in the Kingdom.
Verse of the Day (11 Feb 19): Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NIV
Brat: So, what is preventing you from crossing the religious sound barrier? The institution is unreachable.
Vince Amlin: “You know I support you, but some people are saying…” With words like these, many a pastor’s day was ruined. (If you’ve passed along anonymous criticism, wrap yourself soundly on the knuckles and say 10 Our Fathers. Then come back and finish this devotion.)
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18 [!]): I don’t know why exactly I had such an adverse reaction to those printed prayers from the weekday Amidah. I used to love and meditate all the time on the prayers in the Book of Common Prayer. But now after a decade of being treated by clergy (Christian and Jewish) as if I don’t exist, then when I looked at those prayers it was like briefly opening the manhole over hell itself. Was that the source of the religious spirit? I did fight that spirit terribly hard at St Patrick’s and it was exhausting (just as Darlene Stilley confirmed last week).
James Goll: What is a spiritual stronghold? Ed Silvosa of Harvest Evangelism defines it as, “a mindset impregnated with hopelessness that causes us to accept as unchangeable, situations that we know are contrary to the will of God.” Note that the enemy does not work haphazardly. He has schemes, plans, goals, strategies and methods to carry them out. (See Eph. 6:11; 1 John 5:18-19)
Brat: My beef is that I’ve been treated as if I don’t exist, but the words are gleaned anyway.
Wanda Alger: The Lord says, “I have need of you!” For those who answer the call, your legacy will not only be assured, but your reward will be recorded for generations to come.
Israel 365 (12 Feb 19): Yearning to Return and Settle the Land ✡ “Take Possession Of The Land And Settle In It”
Rick Joyner: We can expect the voices that arise calling for the New American Revolution to be blamed for the rising discord, just as Elijah was called the one who troubled Israel. Yet, sin and corruption are the true cause of the trouble, not what exposes them. Unity is a wonderful thing, but not when it comes at the cost of tolerating or allowing evil to subjugate the people. There is a point when it is no longer possible to avoid conflict. When that line has been crossed, our strategy must change from keeping the peace to winning the war. That line has now been crossed in “The American Republic.” It may take a while for others to see this, but it will soon be obvious.
Jennifer Martin: Help Birth the Promise
Vince Amlin: In the UCC Pension Boards’ Next Generation Leadership Initiative, I was taught to listen past the specific content of criticism to its relational context. Not to get hooked by a particular complaint, but to hear the speaker’s deeper intent.
Sophia Valentina Buller: Something God has put on my heart is His LOVE and how the enemy really wanted to be “god” and take God’s place over us to hurt God because the enemy HATES God and when the enemy hurts us it’s to put a knife in God’s Heart and that God WILL put an end to wickedness soon. God WILL protect us!!!
Brat: “…love always protects.”
Jennifer Martin: God spoke to me that this dream is also majorly connected to Israel and America, but this word is for all nations as well. There is a promise for Israel coming forth.
Parable of the Vineyard: Are we living in the LAST DAYS? Is this world about to pass away? Have you put your faith and trust in Yahshua (Jesus Christ)? Are you saved??
Jennifer Martin: Throughout history there have always been prophecies. It’s easy to hear and know what the prophecies are, but it’s much harder to discern when they are at hand or when they are actually being fulfilled. God has spoken, but we always look to the future for it to come to pass. It’s always someday, and even when the fulfillment of time has come, we still don’t often recognize the season we are in, so we can run with the vision that has been written. Habakkuk 2:2 says, “…Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run that readeth it.”
Vince Amlin: “I’ve always thought of you as faithful and steadfast. I don’t know why these other nations keep asking, ‘Where is their God?’ Things are lousy for your people. And some are saying you don’t care; you aren’t powerful; maybe you don’t exist. I thought you’d want to know.”
Wanda Alger: “The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for He sees that his day is coming.” (Psalm 37:12-13 ESV)
Luke 6:25 “Woe to you who are full now, for you will be hungry.” Woe to you who are laughing now, for you will mourn and weep.
Jennifer Martin: Pray for Israel. Rejoice with her. Prophetic fulfillment is at hand. We need to recognize the season we are in. It’s here. I mean, it’s really here.
Sophia Valentina Buller: God made us for so much more than the broken world we live in and things WILL BE MADE RIGHT SOON!!! Jesus is coming SOON!!! I CAN FEEL IT!!!
Wanda Alger: Though some intercessors have been called into times of travail in the spirit and weeping for the lost, there are also many whom the Lord is calling forth with the weapon of joy and laughter as a weapon against the enemy. This is not any human-induced demonstration of laughter, but a Holy Spirit mantle of absolute faith and confidence in the King who can laugh in the face of pure evil.
Vince Amlin: “Thanks for believing in me enough to trust me with this criticism,” is the kind of non-anxious thing I’m supposed to remember to say.
Simcha-Shmuel Treister: But the persona of Isaiah brought about salvation [for the Israelite nation], the return of the supernal light to its proper place, and the rebuilding of the Temple; and all the [former] goodness and all the light returned as before.
Jennifer Martin: Isaiah 60:5 tells Israel, “Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.”
Sophia Valentina Buller: Sin was the last thing God wanted for us and sin kept us from the ONE WHO WANTED US THE MOST, GOD!!! This makes me LOVE GOD EVEN MORE!!!
Brat (in “Traffic Light” 7 Feb 19): When I wrote the bishop’s office on Monday (4 Feb 19), they didn’t even write back a question. In fact they wrote back nothing. The Church has no needs. She has everything, just like Babylon. How do you give a gift to someone who already has everything?
Vince Amlin: I think of the times I’ve been disappointed by God. Moments of great pain or great evil that seemed to go unanswered. And I wonder why I didn’t have the faith to question.
1 Corinthians 15:15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ–whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
Vince Amlin: Prayer
Things are lousy, God. And some people are saying you don’t care. You won’t act. You don’t exist. I thought you’d want to know.
Brat: “…Love always perseveres.”
Danny Gokey: “Maybe You Just Haven’t Seen It Yet” [https://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=112CEMNU]
Wanda Alger: For those who doubt their ability to continue standing in the gap to steward this mandate, God wants to give a new weapon for intercession. For those who have carried heartache or disappointment from unmet expectations or unfulfilled dreams, God wants to mantle you with a new faith and perspective to empower your next season.
Vince Amlin: And it’s true. It takes a kind of belief to share our disappointment. Belief that the other person cares. That they want to do better. That they have the capacity to change.
Brat: “…Love always hopes…”
Jennifer Martin: I believe we are at this place in the spirit right now—in the time of prophetic fulfillment. The wait is over. The wave is here. Don’t miss your day of visitation!
Brat: “…Love always trusts.”
Vince Amlin: The psalmist delivers just such a back-handed compliment to God.
Sophia Valentina Buller: Psalm 104 is what I think of when I see the green back in the hill sides and how life is coming back because Christ is coming home soon!!! He is coming home for His bride SOON!!!
Jeremiah 17:8 They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.
Wanda Alger: Where most of us only look to the next five or ten years of our lives for vision and purpose, God looks much farther. The God of both testaments consistently looks for a generational inheritance that spans at least three generations. In order to firmly establish a national, godly foundation with roots that are healthy enough to grow, mature and bear fruit, it requires an intergenerational contending so that an entire culture is transformed.

Half Birthed 9 Feb 19

10 Feb

Working Dates: Saturday, February 9, 2019 to Sunday, February 10, 2019
[10 pages]
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Things are birthing early
For King & Country: “God Only Knows” [https://youtu.be/Q5cPQg3oq-o]
Dawson Taylor: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. – Psalm 119:105
Revelation 10:2 He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land
Doug Addison (in “God of Time” 2 Feb 19): God’s purpose for you in the wilderness is to learn and mature, not for you to suffer. You can shorten your wilderness time by recognizing the lessons God wants you to learn and responding appropriately.
Brat: And who enforces that I respond appropriately? Is there a cosmic hall monitor? You’re exposing the need for accountability, rather than teaching at this point, as I am pretty sure you read me, too.
Psalm 138:8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
Brat (in “Traffic Light” 7 Feb 19): Thank you for this encouragement. AMEN!
Psalm 138:1 I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
Dawson Taylor: The Book that Will Set You Free
Journal (in “Captivity” 24 Jan 19): The mighty angel in Revelation 10 planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. (Rev 10:2) There is the beast that comes out of the sea (Rev 13:1) and the beast that comes out of the earth (Rev 13:11). Does this angel fight the beasts? It is the men who ask, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”
Verse of the Day (10 Feb 19): If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 NIV
Pastor John Tolle (27 Jan 19): Humility is a form of death.
Brat: If I may borrow a line from Gabriel , “don’t let your story get in the way of truth.”
Revelation 10:4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.”
For King & Country: God only knows how it’s killing you
But there’s a kind of love that God only knows
God only knows what you’ve been through
God only knows what they say about you
God only knows the real you
There’s a kind of love that God only knows
Luke 5:5 Simon answered, “Master, we have worked all night long but have caught nothing. Yet if you say so, I will let down the nets.”
For King & Country: There’s a kind of love that
There’s a kind of love
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Begin to sow into the things of the spirit and not the feelings of your emotions or flesh.
Brat (in “The Virus” 10 Jan 19): Between concerns over Dad and not knowing what to do in this stalemate with the Funny Bunnies in this accursed Silence, I’m at my wit’s end. Thank You that You are always with me and leading me.
Isaiah 6:13 Even if a tenth part remain in it, it will be burned again, like a terebinth or an oak whose stump remains standing when it is felled.” The holy seed is its stump.
Rick Joyner: Again, the main seed that sprouted and became a revolution was the Gospel that elevated the common man to being sons and daughters of The King of kings. This was the seed that became the message that “all men are created equal.” This led to the previously unimagined concept that government existed for the people and not the other way around.
Brat: On Wednesday night I told our home Bible study group that I’m grateful for being a child of the King of kings.
Luke 5:4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
Ray and Renaid Almgren: We were also a few weeks away from a mission trip to Israel. We thought we were at the end with ministry and would have to get jobs when we returned. Then suddenly, we received an email (and later an official letter) stating we would be receiving a grant from a foundation. It was the influx of finances God said would happen. But what I want you to know is we had to allow the Holy Spirit to make us uncomfortable. The word God spoke to us and tested us till it came to pass (Psalm 105:19). We had to keep going even though it looked like everything was going down. We had to believe in the word the Lord spoke above all the pressure around us. But in the set time, the fulfillment of an absolute miracle from a totally unexpected source came through the very hand of our Almighty God.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): The Lord is calling us to leave things from the past season and seek Him for the new pathways to deeper intimacy and revelation for this year.
For King & Country: God only knows what you’ve been through
God only knows what they say about you
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Quite often it takes about 9 months for new revelation and prophetic words to actually come to pass or to be “birthed” into your life. This is similar to the time it takes for a woman to carry and then give birth to a child.
Revelation 12: 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.
Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 4:22 pm Journal (in “The Power of Shame”): Parked at Pleasant Valley Park. I had an amazing and terrifying afternoon. It was amazing in that after the ethics training and putting in a couple of extra hours at work, I came here and parked. I read some articles in the Yom Kippur edition of the Jewish Journal and then fell into a deep sleep in the backseat. This is only the second time I’ve been able to sleep in the GMC Terrain.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): The Lord spoke to me this week that we are right in the middle of the 9-month birthing process of the things He released to you at the Jewish New Year last September 19, 2018.
For King & Country: For the lonely, for the ashamed
The misunderstood, and the ones to blame
What if we could start over
We could start over
We could start over
Oh for the lonely, for the ashamed
The misunderstood, and the ones to blame
What if we could start over
We could start over
We could start over
‘Cause there’s a kind of love that God only knows
Revelation 10:3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:7–9 NIV
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): But when I stepped back from the flames and I felt God’s cool blanket of peace descend on my back again, I stood upright and felt a weight lift off my shoulders. I then wondered if I was seeing the shame of the Church reflected back at me and it was my own empathy that was experiencing the Church’s shame!
(Oy! Sh*t. Being a sensitive can so suck sometimes! We don’t just get things once, we get it multiple times from every direction.)
Daniel 12:7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): I don’t know why exactly I had such an adverse reaction to those printed prayers from the weekday Amidah.
For King & Country: You keep a cover over every single secret
So afraid if someone saw them they would leave
But somebody, somebody, somebody sees you
Somebody, somebody will never leave you
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): The Church knows she did wrong! She has no words to extricate herself out of the mess she has created.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Spend time over the next few months worshiping, reading, praying and decreeing Bible verses.
Dawson Taylor: Prayer
Loving God, empower your people with your Word.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: LOVE AND LISTEN. WE NEED EACH OTHER. FOR HELP CALL 1-800-273-8255
Brat: Suicide is NOT what I’m talking about AT ALL!
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Take communion and step away from things that are not good for you.
Psalm 138:6 For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he perceives from far away.
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): All day long I’ve felt a blanket of peace around me. This is an answer to my prayer from yesterday. Thank You, God!
Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me against the wrath of my enemies; you stretch out your hand, and your right hand delivers me.
But there’s only more Silence.
For King & Country: God only knows what you’ve been through
God only knows what they say about you
God only knows the real you
But there’s a kind of love that God only knows
God only knows what you’ve been through
God only knows what they say about you
God only knows the real you
There’s a kind of love that God only knows
Revelation 17:5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery:
BABYLON THE GREAT
THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): This week is the halfway mark between the prophetic word released September 2018 and the nine-month birthing coming in June. He told me this week to give people a heads up to not be discouraged if things look opposite or difficult.
Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): According to [Donna] Hicks, we don’t have to respect each other’s opinions to achieve conflict resolution; what we have to do is protect each other’s dignity.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Don’t be discouraged because in due time you will reap a harvest. Due time is overdue!
Brat (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): I think what helped put me to sleep was the blessed assurance I got from Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles’ article called “Reclaiming Dignity.” She talked about how powerful dread and shame are and that our desire for dignity is even stronger than our desire for survival.
Dawson Taylor: I will never forget sitting in front of Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa. It was at a national Christian gathering of college students and I was there more years ago than I care to admit. I don’t remember if he was quoting himself, President Mandela, or a theologian. But the words pierced my heart: “Never give the Bible to oppressed people and expect them to remain oppressed.”
Brat (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): I had just shared with Teresa Carney this morning that God’s prayer is the reconciliation of the Churches. And I had shared that I feel mocked by clergy. Mocking erodes dignity.
Ray and Renaid Almgren: This year, God will prompt you to obey Him and to do things that require huge risks. You will have ideas and God will speak in big ways. But for those colossal things to happen, in order to come up to the next level or for big doors to open, there will always be humongous risks of faith and you will feel very uncomfortable. Allowing the Holy Spirit to make you uncomfortable is not fun by any means, but it must happen. God says obedience is better than sacrifice and if you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. You must be willing to obey God and not be afraid of being embarrassed. Be willing to try anything He says. Lay down your own agenda, step out just on His words alone, and do what He says with no money or influence, and go for it even if nothing happens.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): The Lord said, “I am now going to speed up the process of what I released to you at Yom Kippur. Instead of nine months of waiting until June, things are now coming in half the time. I am releasing the start of the prophetic words, callings and giftings starting in February 2019.
Brat: So, are you saying that I am recognizing the lessons God wants me to learn and that I am responding appropriately? Are you saying you ARE a ‘hall monitor’? If that is the case then I say, “Thank you.”
Ray and Renaid Almgren: Several years ago, my husband Ray and I were in a transition from pastoring a church to helping birth a house of prayer. With little money coming in, a door opened for Ray to supplement our income. Ray worked at what we call the best part-time job ever in the accounting department of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. I told him never quit that job since the pay and benefits were so great, plus he could make his own schedule. We were not Anglican, but he had the privilege of working for the Anglican Archbishop of North America.
Journal (9 Feb 19): As soon as I saw a reference to the Anglican homies I stopped reading the Almgren’s prophetic word for the moment and emailed Ray and Renaid “Traffic Light.” Then I went back and finished reading the rest of their piece.
Dawson Taylor: Even as a white male of privilege, I knew something about oppression because at that point in my life, I was also a deeply closeted gay man. I had passages of scripture hurled at me, like stones at Stephen, claiming my life to be incompatible with faith and with God. It may not have pierced my body, but it pierced my soul.
Ray and Renaid Almgren: While working at the diocese, Ray brought home a book called “Who Moved My Cheese?” It was a New York Times business bestseller for five years. The book looked interesting and since it was small, I read it before going to bed. “Who Moved My Cheese?” is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. It is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters, two mice and two little people who live in a “Maze” and look for “Cheese” to nourish them and make them happy. “Cheese” is a metaphor for what you want to have in life—whether it is a good job, a loving relationship, money, a possession, health, or spiritual peace of mind. And the “Maze” is where you look for what you want—the organization you work in, or the family or community you live in. In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change, in other words, someone moves the cheese. The story talks about how each character deals with change.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Look back to last September to see if the Lord was speaking to you. It does not have to be exact on the calendar. It could also relate to something you have been feeling is going to happen.
Ray and Renaid Almgren: Ironically, the day after reading the book when Ray came home, he said he had been laid off from the perfect part-time job he promised to never quit. As soon as he told me I said, “The cheese moved.” The reason he was laid off was not his fault, but the diocese lost a court case and no longer owned the properties he managed on paper.
Isaiah 6:6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): I sincerely asked myself if I was ashamed of God, since Jesus had said, “If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38) I immediately answered, “NO, Lord! I am NOT ashamed of You!” Then I wondered if I answered too quickly because the fires of shame were so close and so hot. Did I say, “NO!” out of self-preservation? I wouldn’t put it past myself.
Isaiah 6:7 The seraph touched my mouth with it and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out.”
Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): It’s not always easy to identify a precise dignity violation as in the story of Bar Kamtza. But Hicks reminds us that “nameless and unvoiced indignities are the missing link in our understanding of what keeps conflicts alive,” and that when we react to our being humiliated, we must remember that “our opponents are often reacting to a violation of their dignity as well, a violation we, perhaps, perpetrated.”
Ray and Renaid Almgren: We never forget that time when we allowed the Holy Spirit to make us uncomfortable. Each time God speaks, we must believe the impossible to see the incredible and be willing to allow God to make us feel uncomfortable. This is a key pattern to the miraculous of God.
Journal (9 Feb 19): What they say is true. The Holy Spirit does make us uncomfortable, but it is Satan who turns that into anguish. It is so important for us to stay balanced and anchored in Jesus Christ. It was love for my homies that sent me trying to make connections or encourage them to be made or renewed over there, as I am blocked from every angle over here.
Rick Joyner: How does this fit with the next Great Awakening that so many have prophesied, including myself? The First Great Awakening preceded the Revolutionary War. The Second Great Awakening preceded the Civil War. It is easy to see a direct link between the messages of these Great Awakenings and how they ignited these wars. Their light exposed darkness to the degree that it could no longer be tolerated. Likewise, the light already being revealed from the emerging Awakening in this time is causing great agitation in our land. The issues have morphed in a lot of ways, but they are basically the same ones that were fought over in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
Brat (in “Traffic Light” 7 Feb 19): Where to share this good news? We may have freedom of religion over here in the United States but there’s nowhere to share it with any institution, because evidently they have a monopoly on it. Babylon can’t build a ‘sanctuary for God’ that Rabbi Leiter talked about.
Doug Addison (9 Feb 19): Stop complaining and grumbling and sow blessings instead.
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): God, You know what it feels like to be mocked and humiliated! My heart weeps for You! Jennifer Eivaz recently said she would be the one to stand and identify the giant (or something like that. I’ll have to go back and look it up.)
Jennifer Eivaz (10 Sept 18): Finally, He told me that I will go against the unnamed giant and win a victory not won before. I’m not sure why this is significant, but He said that I will name the giant and that others will do likewise. Finally, a stronger anointing for deliverance will be released to the church. It is an anointing to deliver people from deep darkness and deep hurt.
Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles: A person, to have their dignity restored, needs to be heard, seen, recognized and understood, and to have their suffering and experience acknowledged.
Brat [chew lip]: Never happened, to me, personally. The Churches have been silent. For ten years.
Rabbi Zoë Klein Miles: “…to shame a person is to affront the Creator.”
For King & Country: Wide awake while the world is sound asleepin’
Too afraid of what might show up while you’re dreamin’
Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you
Nobody, nobody, nobody would believe you
Every day you try to pick up all the pieces
All the memories, they somehow never leave you
Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you
Nobody, nobody, nobody would believe you
Brat (in “The Virus” 10 Jan 19): While I lingered at home this morning (in between taking the trash out, which Dad never forgets to do, but didn’t do – because he is sick or …?), I tackled one of the stacks of years’ worth of Arc Speak papers piled on my desk. I’m going through them and pulling out the penned journals. I’m putting the Arc Speak papers in the banker’s boxes I’ve been collecting. The Arc Speak papers are my proof that God and I have been listening and trying to move the conversation along, even without a real conversation from the constituents. Without the papers no one would believe me.
Psalm 138:3 On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): These are all the things I needed the Church to do for me. My calling is legit. It is real. Even Robert said to Christy: “She [referring to me] has got something there” when I prayed for Christy’s nightmares to stop and I just held her in love. This battering me around by the religious is CRUEL. They recognize the legitimacy of my calling but refuse to acknowledge it and make it real.
For King & Country: God only knows what you’ve been through
God only knows what they say about you
God only knows how it’s killing you
But there’s a kind of love that God only knows
God only knows what you’ve been through
God only knows what they say about you
God only knows the real you
There’s a kind of love that God only knows
Dawson Taylor: But Archbishop Tutu is correct. You cannot give oppressed people the Bible and expect them to remain oppressed. Because the texts are filled with these amazing images of a loving God who welcomes children home like a loving parent. There are images of a Christ who gives living water to the thirsty and gives bread to the hungry. There is a God who leads people out of slavery into the freedom of a Promised Land.
Psalm 138:4 All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
Dawson Taylor: So, when someone asks me about justice, I simply have to smile and say, “Be careful what you ask, because I have read the Bible. And you cannot give the Bible to oppressed people and expect them to remain oppressed. I heard that from a good source.”
Brat (in “The Virus” 10 Jan 19): I tried to set aside my private journals and put them in chronological order. It was very hard skimming through some of the journals. The stuff I went through was unbearably painful. Made all the worse because the wounds inflicted were done by religious leaders, who are sworn to uphold righteousness and be God’s instruments of peace. I had to stop reading, because I didn’t want to reopen old wounds. There is no resolution. Until there is resolution and sanctuary and a tribe who values the work we’ve done, all of this will just sit here. We cannot proceed through a collective healing until we get that.
1 Corinthians 15:1 Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand,
Journal (in “The Power of Shame” 19 Sept 18): Lord, pour Your cool water on her flames. Today is the first full day of Yom Kippur. On this day of sacrificing ox and sending scapegoats to their death [ref Shmuel Rosner] as You sit on Your Judgment Seat this day, the holy Judgment Day, please remember Lord, that Your Judgment seat is also a seat of Mercy. I lay the Churches and the rabbis on Your Mercy Seat in a living prayer, a living word, and a breathing pact. I am a mortal ‘son of man’, a prophet, shunned and shamed by the ones You sent me to. But I also believe You are here. You are with us. The Son of God will honor the Son of Man. And the Daughter of Man. I don’t know how. That is not as important as asking mercy for them first.
I still need to have my dignity restored, to be heard, seen, recognized and understood as a valuable member of the faith community, and to have my suffering and experience acknowledged. In the grinding SILENCE I don’t know what You are doing in them. All I know is that it starts here in my heart. I honor You for their sakes and my own. I worship You, Lord Jesus.
Psalm 138:5 They shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD.
For King & Country: God only knows where to find you
God only knows how to break through
God only knows the real you
There’s a kind of love that God only knows.

Traffic Light 7 Feb 19
Working Dates: Thursday, February 7, 2019 to Saturday, February 9, 2019
[9 pages]
Steve Shultz: “What? God Told Me: ‘Stop Directing Traffic—IN HEAVEN’?”
Lillian Daniel: In the human economy of emotion, love feels conditional, and communication is the currency. At an early age, when we want a cookie, we learn to say the word “cookie.”
Isaiah 6:10 Make the mind of this people dull, and stop their ears, and shut their eyes, so that they may not look with their eyes, and listen with their ears, and comprehend with their minds, and turn and be healed.”
Brat (in “Frank & Myrrhy” 6 Feb 19): We are slaves to our handlers every bit as much as the spies are to those who watch.
Isaiah 6:2 Seraphs were in attendance above him; each had six wings: with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew.
Pastor John Tolle (27 Jan 19): Humility is a form of death.
Brat: If I may borrow a line from Gabriel , ‘don’t let your story get in the way of truth’.
Journal (in “Frank & Myrrhy” 6 Feb 19): Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 5:20 am Jo and I went to the pharmacy yesterday and while waiting to check with the pharmacist I saw a lone box on the shelf of Homeopathic Rubbing Oil for NEUROPATHY. The letters were so large on the box it practically jumped into my hands. Oil by FRANKINCENSE & MYRRH TM. I didn’t see the logo until later. I’ve never heard of topical comfort being of use in neuropathy. Nothing worked for my mom. So when I saw this oil (and the name that went with it), I wondered if God was anointing my hands and feet like the woman at the dinner party did for Jesus. This was costly enough: $20 for 2 oz. Jesus had said to the woman that she was anointing Him for burial. Maybe this time around God was anointing me for resurrection. All of us have died so many deaths.
Sophia Valentina Buller (6 Feb 19): Today I really hear the spiritual battle!!! Victory for those who BELONG TO JESUS is here!!!
AMEN!
Isaiah 6:3 And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Brat (in “Breach” 29 Jan 19): There has been a significant Breach. A Rift. The Red Dancing Shoes we are cycling through again and again is because the communication lines are shredded. There has been another serious breach in the divine covenant and we are spinning out of control because of it. It is simple cause and effect.
Marchaé Grair: “If there were an answer I could give you to how the universe works, it wouldn’t be special,” Janet responds. “It would just be machinery fulfilling its cosmic design…but since nothing seems to make sense, when you find something or someone that does, it’s euphoria. In all this randomness, in this pandemonium, you and Chidi found each other and you had a life together. Isn’t that remarkable?”
Dutch Sheets (7 Feb 19): “I Am Filled with Hope! A Great Shift Is Upon Us! Are You, as a Believer, Ready?”
Lana Vawser (6 Feb 19): May we be PLIABLE people in His hands.
Isaiah 6:5 And I said: “Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”
Lillian Daniel: From early on, we are trained to use communication to garner other people’s emotional reactions. Is it any wonder than when we get older, we might think all this applies to love, with love being biggest cookie of all?
Brat (in “God of Time” 2 Feb 19): I am convinced that when the leaders of the Seven Churches repent, then the breach will heal. But it must be a joint effort. And then the world will be able to notice the difference.
Dutch Sheets (7 Feb 19): “Therefore repent and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the One who previously was preached to you, Jesus Christ, whom the heavens must receive until the time of restoring what God spoke through all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).
Steve Shultz: Over the years, I’ve learned more and more that God NEVER EVER has accomplished my prayers in the way I thought He should. Instead, He always does it HIS WAY, and it’s always different than what I had “planned” for Him. The same is true for any prayer at any time.
Dutch Sheets (7 Feb 19): Father, focus Your beautiful bride on the Son. May we recognize the season we are in and make ourselves ready to ride this massive wave of awakening. The Church must look, sound and act differently. It must look like Jesus, sound like Jesus and act like Jesus. We must put aside doctrinal arguments and historical traditions and get back to the basics of the Word. We must work together and waste no time. Give Christians, pastors and leaders fresh strategies to lead their congregations in evangelism and the discipleship of so many new Believers. We call forth the new generation of voices from every stream, race and generation. We call forth the passionate lovers of Christ who can express His heart of love well. May we devote ourselves to prayer, the study of the Word and the reaping of an unprecedented harvest of souls in America. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Lillian Daniel: But according to Paul, communication is not the key to everything. Smooth talk may soothe but it does not sustain. Love is not a cookie.
Steve Shultz: As I prayed, I continued for a very long time telling God (I called it “prayer”) what I wanted Him to do, who I wanted Him to use on Earth, what I wanted Him to tell this person or that person, and on and on. Trust me, it was a very detailed set of “instructions” if you will!
Marchaé Grair: I cried as I watched this scene because it so beautifully captures the joy and anguish of the love you can’t keep.
Steve Shultz: Not long ago, I was on a prayer “rampage.”
Isaiah 6:11 Then I said, “How long, O Lord?” And he said: “Until cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is utterly desolate;
Brat: Well, Rob’s land in Fillmore looks like Afghanistan. Word fulfilled. Look at Syria itself. Word fulfilled. You keep fulfilling Your word, Lord!
Matthew Laney: Naturally, this royally ticked off King Herod. Herod also didn’t like the news John reported about him, so Herod threw John in prison to shut him up. Jesus later called Herod a “fox” (that’s right, Fox!).
Luke 13:32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’
Lana Vawser: We MUST as God’s people right now as we are on the brink of the greatest move of God we have ever seen on the earth to be living CLOSE to His heart and living in deep intimacy with Him to hear His heart, the rhythm of His heart and His strategy.
Verse of the Day (8 Feb 19): [ Love for Enemies ] “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. ~ Matthew 5:43-45 NIV
Pastor Steve Dittmar (5 Feb 19): Secret Place – Who is Your Beloved?
When life has backed you into a corner, it’s time to declare who your Beloved is, out loud, to everyone and everything in your life. Then watch and see what happens. . .
Brat: I did. I have been. And God has been fulfilling His word.
Casting Crowns: “Courageous” [https://youtu.be/XTVJmX-hzYw]
Marchaé Grair: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. – 1 Corinthians 13:13
Russ and Kitty Walden: “Push Back Against Despair! It’s Time to Receive Your Portion”
Isaiah 6:13 Even if a tenth part remain in it, it will be burned again, like a terebinth or an oak whose stump remains standing when it is felled.” The holy seed is its stump.
Lana Vawser (6 Feb 19): The Lord began to show me that the rhythm of His heart is going to lead many in directions that seem OPPOSITE to the ‘normal’ and opposite to ‘expectations of man’ and the ‘agenda of man’. The rhythm of His heart is going to be leading His people in places and to implement strategies that seem to “go against the grain” but as God’s people walk in complete obedience and not bow to the expectation of man, the fear of man, or the “agenda” of man, these ones will be SUDDENLY positioned in major places of favour and acceleration.
Brat: When I wrote the bishop’s office on Monday (4 Feb 19), they didn’t even write back a question. In fact they wrote back nothing. The Church has no needs. She has everything, just like Babylon. How do you give a gift to someone who already has everything?
Rabbi Bachya ben Asher: The cherubs were symbolic of the fire and the thunder the Israelites experienced during the revelation at Mount Sinai. They were both constructed of gold, being recipients of the attributes Love and Justice. They were male and female in order to teach that these two genders represent the initiating force and the responsive force respectively.
Steve Shultz: I was going to leave nothing to chance in prayer to God. I had issues with people, places and things. I had issues with God’s timing. I had issues with His promises. And I had issues that things were not working out the way I felt they should.
Marchaé Grair: “What’s the point of love if it’s just gonna disappear?” Eleanor asks Janet. “And how is it worse to not love anybody?”
Brat (in “Frank & Myrrhy” 6 Feb 19): She herself was so broken and broke when they met that she didn’t realize that what she perceived in him as strength when they first met was actually bullishness, and the weak was made strong. That’s what bullies are, weak cowards beating up those who are not in a position to topple their kingdoms, and they win. Now she just lets him win. She has sacrificed everything for the sake of their marriage.
Matthew Laney: Herod the ruler, who had been rebuked by John the Baptist because of his brother’s wife and because of all the evil things that Herod had done, added to them all by shutting up John in prison. – Luke 3:19-20
Lillian Daniel: Prepare yourself for the next rodeo, Kiddo: it will be debated with someone who wants the same cookie you want. Now you will have to start using logical reasoning and legal arguments to defend your position (“They got more cookies than I did”) and be prepared for their rebuttal (“Liar, liar, pants on fire”). Your skills will be lectured on tone of voice (“Stop whining”) and timing (“Wait until after dinner”).
Marchaé Grair: Some friendships and lovers are only meant to be notches on lengthy timelines.
Journal (in “Ox” 01 Feb 19): Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 2:50 pm Journal: I started the list with Laodicea, because “the last will be first.”
Verse of the Day (29 Jan 19): Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” ~ Mark 9:35 NIV
Dutch Sheets (7 Feb 19): A Third Great Awakening is upon us. God is allowing things to boil, bringing things to the surface so that He can deal with them. The question is not, “Will revival come to America?” We will get a revival. We will get a Third Great Awakening. The question is, “What is the Church going to do with that?” A Great Awakening will require us to be stretched in our thinking, to discard “doctrine” that has fallacies. It will require a shift in how we teach and disciple. It will require a shift from a self-centered Gospel to a Kingdom-centered Gospel. I am filled with hope! A great shift is upon us and will continue throughout 2019. What a privilege to be part of what God is doing in this hour.
Brat (in “Ox” 01 Feb 19): So, that being said, how do we get to Accountability of the Seven Churches by applying this truth that the first must be the very last and the servant of all?
Marchaé Grair: The Love You Can’t Keep
Isaiah 6:9 And he said, “Go and say to this people: ‘Keep listening, but do not comprehend; keep looking, but do not understand.’
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Is a person so absolutely distant from G d still commanded to do the most sublime divine act, to build a sanctuary for G d?
Brat (in “God of Time” 2 Feb 19): Could you please pass me along to the Reverend Charles Wynder, Jr? If I do it myself then it would be as if I were trying to promote myself. But you already know me through my writings. Putting in a good word from rabbi to priest does not cost money. It’s the right thing to do. I’ll even put the website for contact information in the footnote. ( ) I know it’s cheeky, but can I get a little help here?
Steve Shultz: Have you ever TOLD GOD you wanted a given person to go and share the Gospel with some of your unsaved friends or relatives? That’s directing traffic. I could give so many other examples, but you get the point.
Brat: Okay, my bad
Lillian Daniel: If you are a toddler, this utterance is grounds for applause, and yes, a cookie. You feel like a genius, but just for a minute. Trust me, Toddler, this will not last forever. Communication gets graded on a curve.
Steve Shultz: “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.'”
Israel Breaking News (6 Feb 19): Israel Mourns Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein of International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lofty; and the hem of his robe filled the temple.
Israel Breaking News: Prayers are requested for the rabbi’s family
House of Destiny (8 Feb 19): Please Pray With Us:
For Yael Eckstein, her family, and everyone at the IFCJ after the sudden and tragic loss of Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein. Pray for the supernatural, comfort and peace of God to be upon everyone affected.
Brat (6 Feb 19): Dear God! I am so sorry! I am sorry to hear of the passing of Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein; sorry for his family, sorry for the Jews and the Christians he was trying to reconcile. Father, I know that I wrote him before. I considered him one of my beloved Bagel Boys. How is taking him home helping to reconcile our collective story? I will miss his voice. His absence will leave a great hole. Heal the breach, Lord. Please heal and comfort his family (and Israel) in this terrible loss. It is a loss for us and a gain for You. Send help to this old fossil (me) to fulfill our mission of reconciliation. The laborers are so few. Help us all to see through the grief to where You are leading. Even trying to share these condolences to Facebook kept crashing my computer (for an hour!), so there must be a reason for all this opposition to blocking kindness. Please honor the rabbi’s work and his name. Make good on Your promises, God.
House of Destiny (6 Feb 19): The True Meaning of “Mission”
Lana Vawser (6 Feb 19): The Lord showed me that MAJOR FAVOUR and the MAJOR shift in the trajectory of increase and acceleration is going to be found by those who are surrendered and yielded to Him and His ways in this new era. It is going to be VERY CLEAR in this new era who is living positioned and pliable. There is going to be a clear distinction in this new era between self-promotion and sanctification. Those who have set themselves apart, those who have sanctified their hearts to Him and consecrated themselves to Him and His ways.
Breaking Israel News: One of Eckstein Senior’s lifelong missions was to bridge the gap between the older and younger generations, especially of Jews. He once quoted Rabbi Berel Wein, saying: “One of the blessings of our generation is the unique role of grandparents and great-grandparents in providing a bridge as well as a perspective: a bridge to the past and a perspective on life for the present and future.”
Marchaé Grair: Prayer
Thank God for Everlasting love and for love that fades away. Amen.
Steve Shultz: This is why, even as intercessors, while we DO seek to have specific prayers answered (and this is perfectly fine), we must avoid what I would call “bossing God around” or “directing traffic in Heaven!”
Brat (in “Ox” 01 Feb 19): From my perspective the marriage of the bride is not just about us having access to the Father, but also the fathers being held accountable.
Matthew Laney: Baptism is all about crossing borders from death to life, from despair to hope, from tyranny to freedom. Baptism marks you as a border crosser, undermining one kingdom and preparing for another.
Steve Shultz: God is NEVER GOING TO DO IT YOUR WAY. His ways are different.
Matthew Laney: Prayer
Lord Jesus, you defied the Herods of your time to reveal God’s kingdom. My baptism demands that I do nothing less.
Steve Shultz: This is why, amidst our strong and even specific intercessions, our primary prayers must be what Jesus taught in Matthew 6:9-13:
“This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in Heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.'”
Isaiah 6:4 The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those who called, and the house filled with smoke.
Leon Walters: “Come to Attention, Do An About-Face and Charge!”
Sophia Valentina Buller: In JESUS’ NAME NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER IN JESUS’ NAME but it WILL BOUNCE BACK TO SENDER IN JESUS’ NAME and SET CAPTIVES FREE and BREAK CHAINS in JESUS’ NAME instead and the TRUTH WILL COME OUT IN JESUS’ NAME for EVERY ATTACK TRIED IN JESUS’ NAME, the enemy IS FALLING INTO THEIR OWN PIT IN JESUS’ NAME BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!!! LORD JESUS I ask for YOUR HOLY SPIRIT FORE AROUND US as a protection in JESUS’ NAME!!! HAVE YOUR WILL AND WAY LORD JESUS!!! JESUS CHRIST IS LORD SO THE ENEMY MUST FLEE IN JESUS NAME!!! JESUS I ask that you protect us who ARE in YOU LORD with your HEAVENLY army of angels in JESUS NAME and I thank YOU LORD FOR being AWESOME!!! THANK YOU FOR RESTORING JOY IN JESUS NAME!!! NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER IN JESUS’ NAME for JESUS CHRIST IS LORD and we BELONG to HIM!!!
Isaiah 6:7 The seraph touched my mouth with it and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out.”
Sophia Valentina Buller: P.s. the caps is for authority because it is to be said with the authority God has given us in Jesus’ Name!!! We are FIGHTERS FOR CHRIST IN CHRIST!!! The enemy MUST FLEE IN JESUS NAME and we must speak with the AUTHORITY CHRIST HAS GIVEN US IN JESUS’ NAME!!! P.s. take authority of any headaches because it’s witchcraft and in CHRIST we do not accept it in JESUS’ NAME!!! I had this happen this morning and my headache fled in JESUS NAME!!! I felt led to type more!!! Remember the enemy is a squished bug who we DO NOT tolerate in JESUS NAME!!!
Donna Schaper: Prayer
For the reluctant traveler and the joyous one, O God, we pray. Thank you for being a road warrior.
Steve Shultz: It’s perfectly fine to get specific with your prayers. Ask God whatever you want. Be as detailed as you like. Tell Him your heart’s desire. But—when you’re done, end with this: “YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE!”
Marchaé Grair: I’d rather have one taste of love for a second than never know love at all.
But there’s only more Silence.
Marchaé Grair: We lose people we love too easily, and we can’t always hold on to perfect moments as long as we think we need them.
House of Destiny (6 Feb 19): Many today have lost the true meaning of “Mission”. Often, it is seen as the calling of a few instead of the opportunity to all. As such, too few see the amazing personal transformation which happens when we GO!
Isaiah 6:12 until the LORD sends everyone far away, and vast is the emptiness in the midst of the land.
CharismaNews.com: We are entering an hour of history where the Church must make itself ready. We are now warring for the eternal destinies of millions and the destiny of our nation. Something must happen to awaken the conscience of this nation and turn the thoughts of people back to God. A revival of monumental proportions is the only hope we have to see the hearts and minds of multiplied millions turn to God. If it is the only hope—then with God, it is inevitable.
Brat: Where to share this good news? We may have freedom of religion over here in the United States but there’s nowhere to share it with any institution, because evidently they have a monopoly on it. Babylon can’t build a ‘sanctuary for God’ that Rabbi Leiter talked about.
Marchaé Grair: Some tender embraces are only meant for one song.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: That which is spiritual requires no space and is not restricted by space.
Brat: The Holy Spirit lives in you and you don’t need sanctuary?
Isaiah 6:6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.
Brat: O, God, please bless Israel and help her to be a nation that truly does keep the faith and that will righteously steward the books. Bless her faithfulness and remember her in their faithfulness to You. Amen.
Lana Vawser (6 Feb 19): May He find those He is looking for in us. May we be people that cry out “Holy Spirit, create in me a greater sensitivity to the leading of your Spirit. Lord, give me ears to hear and eyes to see. Lord, give me discernment to discern what you are saying. God, open My eyes to the revelation of what you are speaking to me in the Word of God. Lord, I repent for any agendas, anything that has kept me from the place of following you and stewarding with purity what you have placed in My hands.
Steve Shultz: You don’t need to tell God “who” to send and why THAT PERSON is the best person. God already knows who to send. Your job, OUR JOB, is to pray for the laborers. God will choose the right ones.
Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
Steve Shultz: God’s going to do His will for you anyway. He simply asks for your AGREEMENT for His will to be done. That’s just how He works!
Marchaé Grair: Even so, I agree with Janet.
Steve Shultz: So, take a lesson from me, or should I say, “Take a lesson from God.” Stop directing traffic in Heaven. Ask what you will but end with, “YOUR WILL BE DONE!”
