John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Kathryn – Peace be with you!
Brat (27 Apr 18): And peace be with you, too! I thank God for directing my steps, leading me beside still waters, and telling me when to stop and rest. Yesterday the Holy Spirit told me to fish out my book ‘Women Who Run with the Wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. He led me to the Crescent Moon Bear. (p 346)
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Many members of the Pray More Novenas community are truly struggling with the knot of financial burden.
Brat: I consider myself one of those members of the praying community.
John-Paul & Annie Deddens (3 Apr 18): Thank you for sharing this with us, and for praying with us!
God bless you!
Brat: I sent you “Doors,” so that you would understand more of my assignment. You said, “Thanks for sharing.” I offered an invitation to forge a relationship. In return I received yet another stone of silence. More ghosts fly around unburied. To be honest, the silence became a fresh trigger in my soul.
Anna Blake: Horse thought balloon: (what’s wrong. why do you have pedestal anxiety? we’ve done this five times already, can you calm down?)
Dr Estés (p 367): “Collective anger or rage is also a natural function. There is such a phenomenon as group hurt, group grief. Women who become socially, politically, or culturally conscious often find that they have to deal with a collective rage that seeps upward through them again and again.”
Brat: The Church acts like she’s too big to fall, too big to fail. But I MUST keep the conversation going, even though she is Untouchable. She seemingly has no clue that she has created many of the ghosts which she must now exorcise.
Dr Estés (p 493): In Jungian psychology, this eruption of great feeling tone is called constellation of a complex. Unlike Freud, who branded such behavior as neurotic, Jung considered it actually a cohesive response, similar to that made by animals who have been harassed, tortured, frightened, or injured. The animal tends to react to smells, motions, instruments, sounds which are similar to the original injuring ones. Humans have the same recognition and response pattern.
Revelation 12: 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.
Anna Blake: The thing that drives me craziest about humans is our arrogant belief that we are the super-species, the only intelligent animals on the planet. Our scientists are just now getting smart enough to figure out what other species have known forever.
1 John 4:9 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
Pastor John Tolle: God loves us too much to let us stay the way we are.
Dr Estés (p 360-361): “Righteous Rage: To turn the other cheek, that is, to remain silent in the face of injustice or mistreatment, has to be weighed very carefully. It is one thing to use passive resistance as a political tool as Gandhi taught masses of people to do, but it is quite another matter when women are encouraged or forced to be silent in order to survive an impossible situation of corrupt or unjust power in the family [and I’d just said “THE CHURCHES ARE MY FAMILY!”], community, or world. Then women are amputated from the wild nature and their silence is not serenity but an enormous defense against being harmed. It is a mistake for others to think that just because a woman is silent, it always means she approves of life as is.”
Psalm 22:27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD; and all the families of the nations shall worship before Him.
Anna Blake: When children are potty-training, it’s appropriate to cheer and congratulate them for using the toilet. But if you are calling your son at college and asking if he has “done his business” you’re letting him know you’re an idiot. At some point, we trust children to use the bathroom.
Revelation 13:2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
Dr Estés (p 357): What does the symbol of bear, as opposed to fox, or badger, or quetzal, teach us about dealing with the angry self? To the ancients, bear symbolized resurrection. The creature goes to sleep for a long time, its heartbeat decreases to almost nothing. The male often impregnates the female right before hibernation, but miraculously, the egg and sperm do not unite right away. They float separately in her uterine broth until much later. Near the end of hibernation, the egg and sperm unite and cell division begins, so that the cubs will be born in the spring when the mother is awakening, just in time to care for and teach her new offspring. Not only by reason of awakening from hibernation as though from death, but much more so because the she-bear awakens with new young, this creature is a profound metaphor for our lives, for return and increase coming from something that seemed deadened.
Healer: Pluck a hair from the Crescent Moon Bear’s throat.
Brat: Okay, here goes: This game of hide-and-seek became abusive. The SECRETS escalated. It’s one thing to be read and heard, but the leadership audience pretends to not read or hear and this is a form of torture. No child should be ignored and neglected for ten years. The Jews said recently, “No Jew left behind!” The government education campaign slogan is “No Child Left Behind!” And Tim LaHaye’s ‘Left Behind’ apocalypse became my personal hell.
Charisma: One Nation “Above” God: Has California (and America) Lost Its Mind?
Anna Blake: Horse thought balloon: (you make me tired. can’t even tell what you want when you lean out of the saddle that far. are you falling? it can’t be a canter, been doin’ that since birth. what? you’re mad? done.)
Lana Vawser: CALIFORNIA YOU SHALL BE KNOWN AS A PLACE OF PURITY
Anna Blake: Then if something does get a good response, we over-repeat the lesson. How many horses had been over-disengaged until they won’t let us stand next to their flank? How many of us are so sick of over-discipline that we develop a new habit of kindly over-nagging, over-whispering, or over-treating?
Revelation 13:1 The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.
Dr Estés (p 494): “There is much need and place for rightful and clear anger, especially when previous calls to consciousness have been made in anywhere from dulcet to moderate tones of voice and have gone unheard. Anger is the next step in the hierarchy of calling attention.”
Brat: Testing became a form of slavery using Joseph and his dreamcoat as the icon. Whenever I touched a nerve with truth, they’d hurl back Bible verses to keep me in line. They took ‘submission’ to new extremes (and then said not to go overboard with one’s faith). When that didn’t work, they would pull out the ‘Blaspheme!’ wildcard.
Revelation 17:3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.
Anna Blake: We admit that horses seem to read our minds about emotions, but then when it comes to training, suddenly we’re like Wile E. Coyote strangling Roadrunner. Maybe horses and dogs tolerate it because of our good intentions, even if we aren’t very bright. Donkeys and cats are not burdened with the same restraint.
Brat: When all else failed, they’d throw it back to God as if God was supposed to take responsibility for their sin and shame, crucifying Christ all over again (and again…). Meanwhile, I had to face my own sin and shame on the backside of the same mirror they were looking at, only from the reverse.
Bible Gateway Verse of the Day (28 Apr 18): In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! ~ Philippians 2:5-8 NIV
Dr Estés (p 367-368): “Collective rage is well utilized as motivation to seek out or offer support, to conceive of ways to impel groups or individuals into dialogue [!], or to demand accountability [!], progress [!], improvements [!]. These are proper processes in the patterns of women coming to consciousness, of their caring about what is essential and important to them. It is part of the healthy instinctual psyche to have deep reactions to disrespect, threat, injury. It is a natural and expected part of learning about the collective worlds of soul and psyche.”
Anna Blake: If we continue to train the obvious, we are encouraging horses to a state of learned helplessness. Killing any spark of spontaneity, brilliance, and even their spirit. Killing the thing we loved in the first place.
Brat (in “Good Friday” 30 Mar 18): When God asked me to marry Him, He cleansed and washed all that [junk] away, putting on a clean garment, a mantle. Ironically, even though He is a carpenter by trade, He could not provide a place for me to live like any other married couple.
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Let us pray today for all those struggling financially and all those who are unemployed.
Brat (in “Doors” 3 Apr 18): After ten years, I am still parking and praying for the reconciliation of the Churches. My car is my “sanctuary” where I pray, and my “sanctuary” now needs sanctuary! The Church used to support her holy hermits and monastics.
John-Paul & Annie Deddens (21 Apr 18): Re: Day 5 – The Divine Mercy Novena
Psalm 22:30 Posterity will serve Him; future generations will be told about the Lord,
22:31 and proclaim His deliverance to a people yet unborn, saying that He has done it.
Brat: Praying for finances will not necessarily redeem Judas. Praying for finances will not break the ring of secrets. Praying for finances will not rebuild God’s Church per the mandate He gave to Francis. I forgive my “Judas”. Praying for finances feels like blood money to me right now. Praying for finances does not open the conversation. It feels like if it got answered, then I would be beholden to the prince, rather than to the King. Praying for finances does not restore holiness to God’s Church. It places a focus back on Lady Poverty and her court. To me, it feels like another chess move.
Anna Blake: It’s an obstacle course, by golly. And there’s a pedestal, by golly. We both see it, but one of us acts like it’s a meteor from Krypton. The lead gets tight, the handler doesn’t notice because the world has fallen away. Now the handler is nothing but pedestal, pedestal, pedestal.
Dr Estés (p 493): In some ways, old emotion is more like a set of piano strings in the psyche. A rumble from topside can cause a tremendous vibration of those strings in the mind. They can be made to sing out without ever being plucked. Events that carry similar tone, words, visual features of the original events cause a person to “fight” to keep the old material from “singing out.”
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Problems with finances can put stress on relationships, marriages and even on our relationship with God.
Anna Blake: Day’s end and time to go home. One of us has a lunge line, a long stick with a flag, and a shorter whip. The human starts getting loud anxiety in her body, hand tighter, shoulders tense, throat-breathing every step closer to the trailer and then…
Brat: I followed Dr Estés advice and asked Rage to take a seat with me, have some tea, and talk awhile, so that I could find out what summoned this visitor. (p 354)
Revelation 17:7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
Anna Blake: Stop training discipline. Start training strength.
Dr Estés (p 358): In Zen, the moment the hair is thrown into the fire and the healer speaks her simple words, that is the moment of true enlightenment.
Psalm 93:1 The LORD is king, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved
Brat: Harboring rage is the fallout of trauma. (p 353) I witnessed that rage spread globally like a spiritual firestorm over the last ten years. The source of the pain was different with each eruption across the planet, but the pain itself was the same.
Dr Estés (p 367): “It is psychically sound for women to feel this anger. It is psychically sound for them to use this anger about injustice to invent ways to elicit useful change. It is not psychologically sound for them to neutralize their anger so they will not feel, so they will therefore not press for evolution and change. As with personal rage, collective anger is also a teacher. Women can consult with it, question it in solitude and with others. There is a difference between carrying around old ingrown rage and stirring it with a new stick to see what constructive uses can come of it.”
Anna Blake: How you can tell the training is working?
Brat: The prophets said this was only a test. The problem was that this test never stopped. There was never any end to the testing. Soon the testing felt like punishment. They could always justify a way to up the ante (or is that auntie?). [I’ve gotta keep my sense of humor!]
Anna Blake: We think every instant is a training opportunity; not trusting that they can remember, we “train” every obstacle or trailer, or mounting block. We get serious and loud, we repeat ourselves, and when we get an answer we don’t like, we discipline them because it’s easier than being creative enough to ask in a better way.
Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Brat: I confess, I went into a rage several years into my calling when the Church continued to suck up my writings and not give me any recompense for them, or even acknowledge my contribution. I knew they were reading what I was writing, because they would incorporate the concepts and issues into their sermons and blogs. Often they would use the same words to let me know they were tracking. At first this felt flattering. I fed the Crescent Moon Bear. Then it became an echoing game across the marketplace. Our prayers and themes roared to the stars and God’s throne. Then it felt unfair and downright cruel to be used with no support.
Dr Estés (p 361): “There are times when it becomes imperative to release a rage that shakes the skies. There is a time—even though these times are very rare, there is definitely a time—to let loose all the firepower one has. [Prayer to the throne of God is all we’ve got left.] It has to be in response to a serious offense; the offense has to be big and against the soul or spirit. [It is.] All other reasonable avenues for change have to be attempted first. [They have been.] If these fail, then we have to choose the right time.
Brat: Excuse me, Dr Estés, but Chuck Pierce has been barking at us again NOT to take OFFENSE! Especially over these next three months.
Chuck Pierce (in “Distant Journey” 25 Apr 18): You’ve got to shift your desires if you’re going to come and accomplish what Father wants right now. What He told Peter is: You are being bent. And see, 2018 is about “standing up straight”. And the word OFFENSE means: You’re being “bent over and stumbling at a key moment when you should be standing straight and standing strong.”
Matthew 12:41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.
Anna Blake: One of us has a problem with a canter depart. There’s head tossing, counter-bend, and a wrong lead. The first eight departures were pretty good, but now it’s come apart and we need a good place to stop, like five or six perfect departs in a row. Damn, he knows how to do this, he’s just being bad.
Brat: The men of Nineveh stood up and condemned the BEHAVIOR and not the people. A good parent does not punish the psyche and soul, but corrects the action.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love.
Anna Blake: If you still are just not quite okay with the lack of discipline, if the training doesn’t feel serious enough, or isn’t result-oriented enough, there’s an answer for that: Train yourself to breathe and notice the color of the sky. Train yourself to be an artist; sculpt a horse under-saddle depicting all the traits you respect and love. Train your heart to feel empathy, acknowledge the teamwork and effort that you and your horse share. Let it be enough for today.
Dr Estés (p 361): There is definitely a right time for full-bore rage. When women pay attention to the instinctual self, like the man in the following tale [“The Withered Trees”], they know when it is time. Intuitively, they know and they act. And it is right. Right as rain.”
Brat: Lady Poverty is my ‘Crescent Moon Bear’. It is my prayer and intention that this novena conversation would be the hair that I pluck from that bear’s throat. We MUST practice what we’ve learned. (p 358) And I must believe that you read me.
Dr Estés: “Thank you, Illusion.”
John 15:6 Whoever does not abide in Me is thrown away like a branch and withers; such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
Dr Estés (p 358): Notice that enlightenment does not occur on the mountain. It occurs when, by burning the hair of the crescent moon bear, the projection of magical cure is dissolved.
Brat: I’d fancied that surely they’d come around and do the right thing.
[Yeah, right.]
Brat (in “Manly Men” 26 Apr 18): Pastor John Tolle is praying for words of Knowledge
Colossians 3:24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Anna Blake: Horse thought balloon: (we are standing at the back of the trailer. really. could you possibly think I don’t know what to do?)
Brat: Below the Rage is pain and sorrow. Below the Pain is torture. I danced with the seven veils of illusion on the seven hills upon which the woman sits.
Revelation 17:9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.
Anna Blake: Instead of pretending to be a horse, you’re becoming more of a horse: Tolerant. Forgiving. Willing to try.
Dr Estés (p 493-494): Many people control old complex material by staying away from persons or events that stir them. Sometimes this is rational and useful and sometimes not. So a man may avoid all women who have red hair like his battering father. A woman may steer clear of all contentious argument for it brings up so much in her. However, we try to strengthen our ability to stay in all sorts of situations regardless of complexes because this staying power gives us a voice in the world. It is what gives us ability to change things around us. If we are solely reactive to our complexes we will hide in a hole for the rest of our lives. If we can gain some tolerance of them, utilize them as our allies, for instance use old anger to put teeth into our proclamations, then we can form and reform many things.
Brat: I’ll share this story from my own life. This story is related to finance and I offer it as a small testimony toward redemption, asking God to use small things by His grace for His great works. On Thursday, I’d written a check to my Dad as an installment payment on a loan he’d given me for the replacement of my car wiper blade system. When I gave him the check he gave it back to me saying, “You need the money more than I.” I was floored! I soooo did not expect that! I cried with gratitude.
Anna Blake: There was a reason your mother taught you to say thank-you.
Brat: I JUST [Just Now!] realized as a wrote “VOID” on the check that this was a prophetic fulfilment of a night dream I’d had recently (20 Apr 18) where I held my Dad’s pocket knife in my hand and I heard my Dad’s boyish giggle as if through a memory. I know that sounds unrelated, but this voided check is like Abraham’s ram in the thicket. Dad could have “cut me up” and demanded repayment (as I was expecting), but he said the debt was clear. I had honored him by showing good faith by writing him the check. He honored me by canceling the debt and I wrote VOID across it. It had come back to me through the hands of my dad’s mercy.
Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Brat: I believe this is also what God is doing with us in this season. As we honor Him, He honors us, even when we don’t expect it. I believe He wants to use this example to redeem “Judas” and to redeem the times.
1 John 4:12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Anna Blake: The rider stays engaged and positive, always looking for ways to communicate clearly and letting the horse know how much each try is appreciated. You are training for confidence and trust.
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Let’s pray that they may trust in God’s providence and that Mary will untie their knots.
Brat: So, does that mean that you, too, will choose relationship, the power of the covenant, or will you remain just like the prophets and the piggy Churches? Are you going to hold on to Satan’s so-called “deep secrets”? (Rev 2:24)

Manly Men 26 Apr 18

Bible Gateway Verse of the Day (26 Apr 18): Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
~ Hebrews 7:25 NIV
Brat (in “Reach” 26 Apr 18): Then engage with me! Or send me someone who will and can!
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Two and a Half Men: Manly men, men, men…Oooooh, ahhhh…
Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai: Since these are the days of the male world [the world of the seven sefirot of Zeir Anpin2] this counting is incumbent upon men only (see Magen Avraham, Orach Chaim siman 489). And for this reason also one must count standing up, for matters pertaining to the Lower World are done when sitting down, not standing. This is the mystical secret of [the difference between] those parts of prayer that are said standing, and those that are said sitting.3
Brat: The men of Nineveh listened to Jonah and rose up with this generation. (Matthew 12:41)
Jewish Journal Partners: We Can’t Be Super Without You
Chuck Pierce (in “Distant Journey” 25 Apr 18): You’ve got to shift your desires if you’re going to come and accomplish what Father wants right now. What He told Peter is: You are being bent. And see, 2018 is about “standing up straight”. And the word OFFENSE means: You’re being “bent over and stumbling at a key moment when you should be standing straight and standing strong.”
Brat: If you want us to stand with you, then stand up FOR us with the sons of Nineveh. The rabbis have been doing that. In my book they are the sons of Nineveh.
Ben Lim (in “Distant Journey” 24 Apr 18): Get ready for vast synergistic efforts that will bear fruit for the decades to come. It was only when Ruth met her Boaz that things shifted. It was only when Esther met her king that the kingdom overturned. It was only when David met his Samuel that he was launched into his kingship.
Edie Bayer: They have been hidden in plain sight, tucked away in the “grass” that is here today, and tomorrow is thrown in the fire (see Matthew 6:30). They have been overlooked and are in obscurity, in the darkness, and in the background. The Church has not paid them any notice, yet they have been right there all along—just like David the shepherd boy, the overlooked brother (see 1 Samuel 16)! They have been lying down for the longest time, but now it is time for them to STAND UP! Their time has come (see Isaiah 60:1-2)!
Brat: And I am saying the LEADERS must STAND UP! We in the trenches are doing all we can and being leaders in our ant hills, but like George Washington writing home for help, we cannot do it alone.
Lana Vawser (25 Apr 18): The sense surrounded me so profoundly, for the call from the heart of God to His people – to dig deeper into the Word, to continue to ask for His heart for California and His eyes to see what He is seeing. Let’s decree the Word of God that brings a turning, that speaks hope, restoration, and the plans and purposes of God into California. The kindness and love of God will be displayed. There is an increase of insight and vision He is wanting to release from His Word to His people to sow into the ground of California, as the state moves into a new era of harvest and glory revealed, for such a time as this!
2 Corinthians 9:10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
Quinn G. Caldwell: As I get older, I find myself sometimes hyper-aware of the narrowing of possibilities for my future. It’s not popular to say, but it’s true: as time goes by, so do certain possibilities for what you’re going to accomplish in your life. You make some choices that actively close doors that aren’t likely to open again; other doors just sort of slowly swing shut on their own when you aren’t looking. Of course, you might still become famous for doing that thing that only people half your age are supposed to be able to do, but . . . probably not.
Colossians 3: 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
Edie Bayer: “Marching to the Beat of a Different Drum!”
Quinn G. Caldwell: Listen: it is not given to you to do everything. It is not even given to you to do most things. But the things that have been given to you? Do them like you’re parting the Red Sea. Do them like you’re bringing water from a rock to save a people. Do them like they’ve been handed to you from a column of fire and smoke on a mountaintop. Because there’s a fair chance they have been.

Israel 365: Why is Israel Compared to a Stream? ✡ “So Shall This Land Fall To You As Your Heritage”
Brat: Pastor John Tolle is praying for words of Knowledge
Colossians 3:24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Steve Shultz: I think we need a lot more people like this to make big impact in our world…many of them are the world changers we’ll see rise up as well.
2 Corinthians 9:11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
Quinn G. Caldwell: Prayer
God, let me walk through the doors still open to me with grace and faithfulness. And if any have been shut to me unjustly or against your will, give me the power to kick them down. Amen.
Edie Bayer: This group is being spotlighted now! The heavy, wooden door with a small window of vision is the old way of doing things, the “past” Church. I believe that this spotlighted group is comprised of our next generation prophets, apostles, teachers, evangelists and pastors—young men and women that are now being activated by God for such a time as this. They are being carried by the Spirit of God through doors that are currently closed! They don’t need open doors from the “old” Church—they don’t require our permission! God is moving them into position quite nicely without it, thank you very much!
Colossians 3: 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.
Molly Baskette: God loves to shut down my snarky hypotheticals. Minutes after asking “How can I not be white anymore?” God answered my question with an insight: I was in denial, the first stage of grief. Here’s how my grief unfolded from there.
Edie Bayer: I believe there are many in the Body, right now, who are doing just that—marching to the beat of a different drum! Some of these unique ones dress differently. They think differently. They worship God differently. They honor God differently than the norm. They have a totally different, completely unique assignment than others in the Body. They’re different! They act differently, and it’s because they are!
2 Corinthians 9:12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
Edie Bayer: Let’s lead, follow, or get out of the way. God will not be denied! He will have His Bride! She will be marching to the beat of a different drum—shining with the light of His glory!
2 Corinthians 9:13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
Edie Bayer: “Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, and the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you. For in fact, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness will cover the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you [Jerusalem] and His glory and brilliance will be seen on you.” (Isaiah 60:1-2 AMP)
2 Corinthians 9:14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
Rick Joyner: First, a “great multitude” declares that the Lord reigns. This is the gospel of the kingdom not just going to the multitudes, but coming from a multitude. The whole earth will resound with this greatest of all messages to be preached on the earth.
Revelation 7:9 [ The Great Multitude in White Robes ] After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

Charisma: Does Your Church Have Blind Spots?
Nehemiah 5:6 When I heard their outcry and these charges, I was very angry.
Rick Joyner: Of course, the bride is the whole church, not just the church in any one country or period of history. Even so, at this time a case could be made that the church overall is in bad shape, far from this picture. There are some great churches and great church movements that are doing well, but if we’re going to become the pure bride we are called to be—and the timeline suggests we’re fast coming to the end of the age—then what has to happen?
Nehemiah 5:7 I pondered them in my mind and then accused the nobles and officials. I told them, “You are charging your own people interest!” So I called together a large meeting to deal with them
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Kathryn – Peace be with you!
Donna Schaper: “Samuel did what the Lord commanded, and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city came to meet him trembling, and said, ‘Do you come peaceably?'” – I Samuel 16:4
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: “Speak to the children of Israel saying, Any person who becomes unclean from [contact with] the dead, or is on a distant journey, whether among you or in future generations, he shall make a Passover sacrifice for the Lord” (Num. 9:10)
Shabtai Teicher: One can lose his portion in the Resurrection of the Dead by transference of all the good to one soul partner and transference of all the evil to the other one.
Henry Karlson (in “Fish Lips” 14 Apr 18): Do we let the devil destroy the fallen in our cruel determination to hold on to the letter that kills or will we embrace gracious mercy of Christ which truly lifts up the sinner and welcomes them back with love? Pope Francis tells us Christ’s answer. Will we listen?
Psalm 4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart the faithful for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him.
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Many of the knots in our lives are caused by sin, but Mary can untie the knot of sin — she does it by her faith and prayers for us.
Chuck Pierce on April 8, 2018: So there is a danger now and a warning this week: not to be offended—and not to be offended over the next 3—I would have to say 3 months. Be careful that your offense is not aligned with some emotion that you’ve not dealt with.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: “The Congregation of Israel is adorned with crowns at Passover time, and does not remove these adornments for thirty days.” (Zohar)
BeRahamim LeHayyim: “Last Chance, Last Dance for chesed/Love…” A beautiful part of our faith is that we get a second chance, another opportunity to connect if we miss the mark. Kind of like having Yom Kippur, then Hoshana Raba as a second chance, then until Zot Hanukah (8th Night) to “get it right.”
John 15:4 Abide in Me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me.
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: As Saint Irenaeus said, “The knot of Eve’s disobedience was untied by the obedience of Mary; what the virgin Eve bound by her unbelief, the Virgin Mary loosened by her faith.”
Rick Joyner: Because this is such an event for the ages, one of the signs we can look for is the bride becoming focused on preparing for her King. As we are told here, she has “made herself ready,” and to be ready she must be “without spot or wrinkle” (see Ephesians 5:27). Without spot speaks of her purity, as she is to be a pure chaste virgin. This is the basic contrast between her and the “great harlot” that married herself to the spirit of this age rather than keeping herself pure for the King.
Luke 2:19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles (in “Hobby” 22 Apr 18): “Our sages say that just as it is a mitzvah to speak out when you will be listened to, so it is a mitzvah to not say anything when you know you will not be listened to. (Ed. note: see Leviticus 19:17 and commentaries there.)
Acts 8:32 Now the passage of the scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter, and like a lamb silent before its shearer, so he does not open his mouth.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: Once the Congregation of Israel is adorned with its crowns in the month of Nissan, she does not remove these crowns and adornments from herself for thirty days. The Matron sits in her adornments all these thirty days, beginning with the day of the exodus of Israel, since the Paschal lamb and all her legions are in a state of happiness. Whoever wishes to see the Matron may look. And the proclamation calls: Whoever did not get a chance to see the Matron should come and look before the gates are locked. When is this proclamation proclaimed? It is on the fourteenth day of the second month, since the gates remain open from then on for seven days following. Following that, they lock the gates. Therefore, the second Pesach.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
Ben Lim: So if you’ve been getting “sifted” in this season, do not worry! Just like flour, when it is sifted it becomes softer in form, the Lord is softening you and your heart. The Lord is softening you as He sifts you, inside and out. The Lord is softening out the rough edges and He is making you like the Lamb of God; soft and tender in heart and in action. The Lord is restoring His meekness back to the Church. This meekness is what we must be clothed with, in midst of the power and in midst of the glory. This meekness is what will keep us in midst of all of the shifting!
Bible Gateway Verse of the Day (24 Apr 18): For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. ~ 1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV
John-Paul & Annie Deddens: Today, let’s pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary may, by the grace of God, untie the knot of sin in our hearts and in the world.
Revelation 19: 7 Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
Ben Lim: The Lord is going to strengthen you after the sifting. There is a strengthening after the process of sifting. This typically is the case with any kind of testing. The Holy Spirit is going to use you dramatically after you become sifted in Jesus’ name! The Lord is sifting out the people of old mindsets and negative wineskins. The Lord is sifting out the bad fruit from the good. The Lord is sifting out the tainted because He is about to shift you into a whole new dimension of glory!
Eliezer Shore (in “Hobby” 22 Apr 18): Really, this is all a great test. For a person is never sentenced for his crimes until he first passes judgment upon himself. And since he will certainly not judge himself, they show him a person who did something similar. When he passes judgment upon the latter, he seals the judgment on himself, as well.
Rick Joyner: Even though there may be a special miracle for brides, I don’t think it is all miracle. As the Scripture above stated, she “makes herself ready.” All of the preparation she has done to prepare for the most special event in history got her to the place where it seemed like it would take a miracle, but everything comes together quickly at the end. My point is that we should not judge the church just by appearances. She may be closer to everything coming together than we think.
Aaron Shust: “Ever Be” [https://youtu.be/XZDyMJhd4Bo]
Lyrics: “Your love is devoted like a ring of solid gold
Like a vow that is tested, like a covenant of old
Your love is enduring through the winter rain
And beyond the horizon with mercy for today.”
1 John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: Open the gates of your heart. Break through all shells and husks that conceal your inner light from yourself.
Donna Schaper: Prayer
Pry us open, O God, using tools if necessary. We come in peace. Amen.
Brat: Lord! Use the Jaws of Life if You have to!
Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: What is this chance? The Holy Zohar says it is the ability to see the Shechinah in all of her finery. Where is she to be found? In our hearts, that is Her place:
Donna Schaper: That was the elder’s question to Samuel. “Do you come in peace, stranger?” Yes, said Samuel, I come in peace. That is the open exchange, the winning exchange, the escape from the authoritarian internalization of speech.
Novena: Meditating Mother, Queen of heaven, in whose hands the treasures of the King are found, turn your merciful eyes upon me today.
Henry Karlson (in “Fish Lips” 14 Apr 18): When, however, presumptuous rashness prefers some rite or other to unity and peace, even if that rite should be good, holy and praiseworthy in itself, it is damnable. You say: we must obey Christ’s command first of all, then that of the Church. If the Church commands other than Christ does, we must obey not the Church but Christ.
Matthew 12:42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.
Rick Joyner: After declaring that the Lord reigns and proclaiming His glory, the emphasis turns to the immediate and first great event of the kingdom—the marriage of the Lord to His bride, the church. The kingdom age will begin with the biggest celebration and feast there will ever be.
Ben Lim: You are the key to someone else’s problems. You are the key to someone else’s solution. You are the key that will unlock the mysteries of God’s glory from within. You are the code-breaker, the safe-keeper, the Rubik’s Cube and the calculator. You are the hard-drive with all of God’s answers! I hear the Lord saying, “I AM entrusting My people with greater access today. I AM entrusting My people with a greater authority to access wisdom and knowledge, more than ever before. You will be and have the key to find solutions that nobody else can. You are the key!”
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: Visit Her often, feel her warm radiance. Share it with all of us.
Rick Joyner: First, a “great multitude” declares that the Lord reigns. This is the gospel of the kingdom not just going to the multitudes, but coming from a multitude. The whole earth will resound with this greatest of all messages to be preached on the earth.
Acts 8:40 But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he was passing through the region, he proclaimed the good news to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
Novena: I entrust into your holy hands this knot in my life [SANCTUARY] and all the rancor and resentment it has caused in me.
Donna Schaper: Have you ever noticed how people say the same things over and over? It’s almost like somebody hands out a script at the start of the week and people repeat their lines. “Why aren’t there more young people in church?”
Novena: Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life.
Donna Schaper: Open-ended exchanges slip out of the authoritarian ritualization of speech. The clichés are not open. They are actually closed. With their utterance, we wash our hands of the matters enumerated. We maintain the status quo, unintentionally, which the status quo really enjoys.
Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”
Tony Robinson: Prayer
Emmanuel, God with us, thank you. Amen.
Novena: No one, not even the evil one himself, can take it away from your precious care.
Acts 8:36 As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized?”
Eliezer Shore (in “Hobby” 22 Apr 18): By not arousing judgment upon a sinner, who is overcome by his desires, you fulfill the verse “You shall not incline the judgment of your poor in his dispute” (Ex. 23:6). When trials and conflict overwhelm him (i.e. when he struggles against his own evil inclination) from the “waters of dispute” (Num. 20:13), i.e. evil and malicious waters, you should arouse favorable judgments upon him.
Rick Joyner: He came the first time to be the Lamb, but He is coming back to be the King. When we see the message going forth that emphasizes His kingdom coming, then we will know that the time is indeed short to conclude this age and prepare for the next one.
Isaiah 14:16 Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: “Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble
Pastor John Tolle (22 Apr 18): When we bought the house we had to re-pipe the entire house all the way to the street. Pipes took on sediment. Corrosion was breaking down the pipes. There was little flow of water.
Brat: I had said “a bathroom that works would be lovely”, because our house’s plumbing is compromised and so is the House of the Lord’s spiritual plumbing compromised. It, too, needs to be “snaked” and that is not something I am qualified to do, in order to rid God’s house of Eli and sons. An outside contractor must come in and hold their peers accountable. Jesus was crucified before He could fulfill that part of the mission.
Rick Joyner: The gospel of the kingdom is not the same as the gospel of salvation. The gospel of salvation makes Him known as Savior, but the gospel of the kingdom reveals Him as King. The gospel of salvation is about what God has done for us—which is so wonderful that we will celebrate it forever—but the gospel of the kingdom is about what we are called to do for Him.
Binyomin Adilman: A measurement limits, defines and restrains. The Omer, a defined measurement, is an expression of gevura and represents constraint of the flow of chesed, rendering it accessible. One’s divine service must be a balance of love and fear (great awe) of G d. This love and fear of G d are referred to by the sages as “trey gadfin”, in Aramaic “two wings”, with which one can elevate oneself to higher and higher levels of divine service. One cannot fly with only one wing. Therefore this period of self reflection and spiritual growth is called after the Omer. It represents gevura, or fear, of G d and balances out the great chesed of Pesach. It furnishes us the second wing with which to take flight and soar to new heights of knowledge of G d and divine service.
Revelation 12:14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.
Novena: Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: The wicked are punished in that they are not permitted to see just how much light is contained within them: “The light of the wicked is held back”. (Sanhedrin 103b on Job)
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: Silence Speaks
Brat (in “Fish Lips” 14 Apr 18): So, after ten years of nothing, I gather the same will continue? The silence speaks louder than words.
Vince Amlin: Pedestals
Pastor John Tolle (22 Apr 18): “I tear them down in Jesus’ name!”
Tony Robinson: Such encounters may be a rough analogy for God’s way with us.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Finally the Rebbe arrived. He stood to the side, deep in thought, and suddenly asked that the bride’s parents be brought to him.
Steve Shultz: When I awoke, it only took me seconds to grasp the meaning. God was saying, “When the Body of Christ tears down THE OFFENSES that are separating them from one another, THEN I can bring a revival upon the land—the likes of which the world has never seen!”
Chuck Pierce: You’ve got to shift your desires if you’re going to come and accomplish what Father wants right now. What He told Peter is: You are being bent. And see, 2018 is about “standing up straight”. And the word OFFENSE means: You’re being “bent over and stumbling at a key moment when you should be standing straight and standing strong.”
Ben Lim: However, before you come into a shifting, you will come into a “sifting”. Many of you have been feeling a “sifting” in the spirit. It is because the Lord is sifting out the old and He is sifting in the new. He is sifting out the wheat from the tares and the goats from the sheeps. The Lord came before Peter and said, “Simon, Simon, satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers” (Luke 22:31-32).
John 15:2 He removes every branch in Me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit He prunes to make it bear more fruit.
Rabbi Yehoshua Starrett: The second half of the Mishnah is thus not just repeating over the first half in the negative, but adding a complementary idea. In a larger context, this teaching conveys the importance of knowing one’s place within the “body” of the Jewish people, and submitting oneself to the guidance of its leaders (Degel Machaneh Ephraim, Matos).
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: ‘Tell me,’ he asked, ‘Did you ever have other children?’
Novena: Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exist in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exists in my life.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: On Pesach we need to be pure of body and pure of spirit to get ourselves out of our own personal tight narrow straits. If we are not in the right place, we get a second opportunity, a second chance to gaze at our inward palace, the place of the Divine Presence.
Acts 8:33 In His humiliation justice was denied Him. Who can describe His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth.”
Pastor John Tolle (in “Hobby” 22 Apr 18): The story uses people to convey the message. You can’t blow me off. You can’t chew on everyone else! Your sin crucified Him. That’s a problem we Christians have. Often we don’t learn lessons until we suffer.
1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
Rabbi Yehoshua Starrett: This, then, is the meaning of the Mishnah, “Anyone from whom people have satisfaction.” The root of the word used for “satisfaction” in this Mishnah means “to rest.” Hence, if the Divine presence rests on a generation, it is through him.
Acts 8:35 Then Philip began to speak, and starting with this scripture, he proclaimed to him the good news about Jesus.
Tony Robinson: But this is not an over-functioning God. “I will be with you.” “I am with you.”
Donna Schaper: Philosopher and political theorist Herbert Marcuse, 1898–1979, said that, in his time, we had developed an “authoritarian ritualization of discourse.” He wasn’t being kind. He meant that there are patterns dictated from on high that unconsciously seep their way into our speech.
Rabbi Yehoshua Starrett: However, when the Divine presence does not rest on the leader, he should not blame it on the people, but on himself. Thus, the Mishnah concludes, “Anyone from whom G d does not have satisfaction” – that is, the Divine presence does not rest upon him – should realize that he himself, and not the generation, is to blame.(Toldot Yaakov Yoseph, Achrai #6.)
Steve Shultz: Then I noticed that not just a volleyball net separated two sides, but also a fence—a brown picket fence—separated the people into two groups. You couldn’t walk around it. As I looked and looked some more, that fence went on as far as any eye could see. It went on until it disappeared from sight.
Rabbi Yehoshua Starrett: This teaching, though, is not only relevant for the great leaders of the generation, but to each and every person. For every person lives within a group, even if only one’s own family, and every person wields some authority over others. Within this context, we are all “leaders,” and are responsible when the spiritual level of our particular group is not what it could be. (Likutei Moharan I 34:4; 56:1)
Pastor John Tolle (in “Hobby” 22 Apr 18): I can’t reach the people in the circle of your life.
Brat: And I can’t reach the pope. So we pray for him. And I pray for you.
Novena: O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains.
Steve Shultz: Let’s listen to the prophets and prosper.
Binyomin Adilman: The period of the Omer (which begins the day after the first Seder) began with this tremendous flow of chesed and divine favor. Yet, chesed left unchecked can overflow its boundaries becoming wild, unforgiving and even obscene. To be of benefit, chesed must be guided and directed. Chesed must always be tempered with gevura.
Shabtai Teicher: In one place the Talmud states that the lightest sins of Ahab were equal to the worst sins of Jeroboam. Yet, on the same page the Talmud teaches, as we have read, that Ahab was equally balanced! The Talmud seems to contradict itself.
Novena: Hear my plea. Keep me, guide me, protect me, o safe refuge!
Steve Shultz: Then a voice came that only I could hear. The people didn’t seem to hear it, but I heard it.
“Transferring Merit”: How could they call him “balanced”?! Rather, it is like this. His actions were not balanced, but rather they leaned in the direction of guilt. However, his Nefesh was balanced – half good and half bad. Although the evil sometimes overpowered him and he worshipped idols, still the Nefesh itself was half good and half bad.
Novena: Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Bobby Conner: As we believe His Word of forgiveness and set our heart to seek the Lord, we will find overwhelming grace and mercies for each day (see Jeremiah 29:12-13). Never give up— never give in again to a mindset of guilt and failure (see Hebrews 10:35). You were created by your Maker to carry His glory and presence into a lost and dying world. God has confidence in you (see Deuteronomy 28:13). Remember, you are His choice (Ephesians 2:10), chosen for “such a time as this” (see Esther 4:14).
“Transferring Merit”: Therefore, G d did not reject him completely, but rather wanted him to repent. He might do good. And that is why Elijah the Prophet chased after him, in order to bring him back in teshuva until the incident of Nevot from the Jezreel Valley.
Brat: Are you talking about the phony trial of Naboth?
Got Questions.org: The city of Jezreel has a long and varied history and figures prominently in many Bible events, most of them violent. King Jehu ordered that the heads of King Ahab’s 70 sons be placed in heaps at the gate of Jezreel (2 Kings 10:1-11). Ahab’s queen, Jezebel, met her death by being thrown from a window of the palace of Jezreel, and it was there that her body was eaten by dogs (2 Kings 9:30-35). Jezreel was the scene of the phony trial of Naboth, who owned a vineyard near Ahab’s palace and who was murdered by Jezebel for his refusal to give his land to Ahab (1 Kings 21:1-23). The Valley of Jezreel was the scene of some important battles as well: the victory of Barak over Sisera (Judges 4); a victory by the Israelites, led by Gideon, against the Midianites, the Amalekiltes, and their allies from the east (Judges 6—8); the victory of the Philistines over Saul and his sons (1 Samuel 31); and the Egyptian victory over King Josiah (2 Kings 23:29).
Steve Shultz: “When you tear this fence down, when it’s all torn down, a revival will break out on earth such as the world has never seen!”
Shabtai Teicher: Thus, it could be that at the same time that a person’s actions are terrible and horribly sinful, his Nefesh could still retain a large repository of good, and the balance sheet of his gilgul could still finish in tikun. This is very encouraging.
Ben Lim: You know you are stepping into a shift when you feel things accelerate and/or even decelerate. A shift requires a changing of guard and a changing of gears. The Lord is about to change the gears on your vehicle. The Lord is about to change the gears on your ministry. The Lord is shifting you into the next gear of your life. Get ready for a new gear shift!
Novena: You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots.
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: If we are not in the right place, we get a second opportunity…
Tony Robinson: If so, what magnificent restraint this God demonstrates. How easily God could overwhelm us with answers, fixes, advice or interventions.
Donna Schaper: What is the opposite of closed speech? It is opening speech and learning how to open the speech of others. Good tools include, “I come in peace.” Or “Tell me more.” “What good might happen with young people who are no longer churched?” “How could the 20% rest?” “What role has the congregation in church growth?” “Tell me about a milllenial you like . . . .”
Rahmiel-Hayyim Drizin: But we are all righteous! Open the gates of your heart. Look inside and see just how fine you are. Forget about fixing. You are great just the way you are. If you know this deeply, you will do the right thing always. The Shechinah — G d’s Divine Presence also called the Congregation of Israel — congregates inside you.
Revelation 19: 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints (NKJV).
Tony Robinson: When I think of those human encounters that feel most like a window onto God, what I have experienced is not a person who fixes things for me or tells me exactly what to do. I have experienced someone who is “with” me, who is present in such a powerful and real way that it makes all the difference in the world.
Novena: In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone.
Tony Robinson: We may think we need a God who will do it all, who will protect us from every peril or pain. Do we? If my human analogies are any indication, that is not our deepest need. We do not need others to lead our lives for us or deal with our challenges on our behalf. But we do need a God who is “with.” With us. Fully present. Engaged.
Monk (in “Hobby” 22 Apr 18): Twitterpated.
Brat: I don’t tweet.
Ben Lim: There are new keys to regions that the -Lord is giving you. Keys signify that there is complete access to people, places, and resources that you did not have access to before. The Lord is releasing new keys to you in this hour. You will have access to all that God has for you. You will have access to new realms of resources. You will have access to new places and things that you didn’t have access to before.
Rick Joyner: I think Don Potter has great insight into this. Don has officiated a number of weddings, and he once told me about a remarkable miracle he witnessed in many of them. He said that just five minutes before the wedding was supposed to start, he saw brides in such bad shape that he didn’t think there was any way for the wedding to start on time. Then a miracle happened and she emerged perfect and right on time, seemingly transformed in the last five minutes!
Binyomin Adilman: Love as well as fear of G-d are the two wings with which we ascend spiritually.
Novena: Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.
Tony Robinson: “With”—it could be God’s truest name. It is what we really need. And what we have.
Binyomin Adilman: The commandment of the Counting of the Omer (Lev. 23:15-16) is named after the omer, a unit of measurement for grain (a capacity of 5.2 American pints or 2.5 liters). It is this period of intense self-reflection. Why is it called after the Omer, and what is its connection to this Biblical measurement?
Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov: …the importance of knowing one’s place within the “body” of the Jewish people…
Isaiah 33:18 In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror: “Where is that chief officer? Where is the one who took the revenue? Where is the officer in charge of the towers?”
Rick Joyner: There does seem to be a special miracle that the Lord gives to brides to be such a mess just minutes before their wedding, but then everything comes together and she emerges as the glorious bride. This could be the way will seem at the end of the age with the bride of Christ.
Ben Lim: Get ready for vast synergistic efforts that will bear fruit for the decades to come. It was only when Ruth met her Boaz that things shifted. It was only when Esther met her king that the kingdom overturned. It was only when David met his Samuel that he was launched into his kingship.
Brat: [SANCTUARY!]
Novena: I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all.
Brat (24 Apr 18): Yes, Lord! Thank You! Send fresh horses and a new herd!
Binyomin Adilman: Pesach was a time of an incredible “Itaruta d’leila”, an undeserved outpouring of kindness and beneficence from G d. The Jews had descended to the 49th level of impurity and had almost no merits with which to beseech G d for salvation. Nevertheless, G d initiated a great deliverance for the Jewish People.
Novena: You are my hope.
Nate Johnston: “The Upper Room Company and the Invitation for More”
Ben Lim: Divine synergistic relationships typically signify that you are coming into a true divine appointment. You don’t have to strive for it, it just happens! You don’t need to make it happen, for it was already predestined!
Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Amen.

Pastor John Tolle: If a hobby is in God’s way He will take it out.
John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Ron Buford (in “Redeeming Judas” 15 Apr 18): Prayer
O God, perhaps without realizing it, I’ve been longing for intentional time alone with you. Funny, I never thought about how much you might have actually missed me, too. I don’t want to wait until a crisis brings us together. Help me set aside five intentional minutes . . . today. I love you. Amen.
Brat: It takes time to listen to God and to write these pieces. It takes a hellova lot more than five minutes! My calling is NOT a HOBBY!
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Whenever there is a double portion, we should try to glean some common teaching from them both. The Lubavitcher Rebbe explains the connection between the beginning of the two portions as follows: Acharei Mot begins with the divine commandment of not going into the Temple at non-specified times, so Aaron and his remaining sons would not die like his first two sons, Nadav and Avihu (as detailed in Parashat Shemini). This would appear to be a command only appropriate for a priest, and specifically a High Priest. What teaching here is applicable to all of us?
Brat (in “Fish Lips” 14 Apr 18): My asking for a “stall in a barn” is not false humility when priests, prophets, and rabbis cannot engage directly with me for ten years. The dysfunctional silence has left my dad and me with no income to support us from my writings, even though I continue to write and pray full time in service to the Lord and work part-time at the library. I pray that your accommodations are fine and of the royal quality they deserve considering the office of your calling.
John 15:6 Whoever does not abide in Me is thrown away like a branch and withers; such branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
Rabbi Avraham Brandwein: This is what is written in the following parasha, Kedoshim: “Be holy, since I, G d, am Holy.” Rashi says, “One might ask if ‘I will be like G d?’ Therefore it says, ‘I am G d,’ that My Holiness is above your holiness.” This means that only the Creator cannot have the desire to receive for Himself and that He exclusively gives. However, a created being must also benefit, which means to receive what is necessary to eat, drink and sleep for him to be able to serve G d.
Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Novena: Dearest Holy Mother, Most Holy Mary, you undo the knots that suffocate your children. Extend your merciful hands to me. I entrust to You today this knot [of hobby interference] and all the negative consequences that it provokes in my life.
Pastor John Tolle: Don’t make vain repetitions!
Kris Vallotton: Please forgive me.
Brat (in “Redeeming Judas” 15 Apr 18): Your words were not converted into action. Acting on Jesus’ command is not entitlement, surfing grace, testing the storyteller for ten years, or any of the seven other abominations. Pope Francis tells the story of the Good Samaritan. The Levite and the priest walk by the injured. They don’t get their hands dirty. Neither did you. The rabbis at least tried. They tried to “bury me” to protect my soul. That was loving. That was discipleship.
Pastor John Tolle: God says, “That’s not the behavior I want!” This is born out of love of God.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: [Aaron’s sons] Nadav and Avihu’s sin was that they wanted to get close to G d – to run to G d with no return, without remaining anchored to this world. Their death was not a punishment but rather a result of their running to the infinite without an anchor.
Pastor John Tolle: A certain woman in this congregation prays like it matters.
Lance Wallnau: WATCH: What was the one thing that caused Jesus to MARVEL? – Bible Study with Lance Wallnau
MARK 6:6 KJV “And he marvelled because of their unbelief …
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This is the teaching that is applicable to each of us. When you think even a little about how G d created each of us, and supplies us with our needs and helps us, it is appropriate to love G d. And this love can be expressed in many ways, even to the point of running towards G d with no thought of return, like the two sons of Aaron. Therefore the Torah is warning us that in a case where the love begins to swell, remember the sons of Aaron and do not make the same mistake. Loving G d is crucial but be careful not to get carried away.
John A. Nelson (in “Redeeming Judas” 15 Apr 18): Which story are you going to believe? The one about decay and meaninglessness waiting for you? Or the one about God’s domain of grace, opening to you in your time?
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: Perplexed, the bank manager resumed his seat. He looked at the rebbe. The rebbe looked at him. More silence. What was going on?
Novena: Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: One of the rules of our G-d-created reality is that a person is not able to use all of his time involved totally with soul-oriented spiritual pursuits, like studying Torah, doing the commandments, prayer, meditation and myriad other types of divine service. This is the inner part of the vessel. No matter who a person is, or his or her personal situation, for the soul to stay in the body, we have to be involved with some body-oriented physical activities like sleeping, eating, drinking and, for most of us anyway, working. These physical activities are the outside of the vessel.
Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outsiders, redeeming the time.
Pastor John Tolle: They act like it matters!
Kris Vallotton: I was trying to point out that everyone has responsibility to build a healthy culture, but my points were off-base and misplaced. They also didn’t represent my real opinion that I have shared many times before regarding women.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The host was finding it increasingly difficult to maintain his constraint. Finally, after several more minutes, the rebbe stood up. Still not saying a word, he walked towards the door. Displaying good manners, the bank manager escorted him out. He followed the rebbe down the steps and several paces along the sidewalk, started to turn back, but then reconsidered and continued to follow behind the calmly strolling tzaddik.
Kris Vallotton: I am in favor of the #MeToo Movement; I believe God is in the middle of it. Women have been abused, unprotected, and sexually harassed for generations with little recourse. Now they are finding the courage to speak out by the thousands. This will ultimately shift culture towards protection, honor and purity for all women.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: When they reached the rebbe’s house, and the rebbe paused to start up the steps, the bank manager finally threw off all restraint and called out, “Vizhnitzer Rebbe! Please excuse me for asking, but why did you come to my house? While you were my guest I would never presume to pry, but now we are at your house, so I can ask you.”
Kalley Heiligenthal (Bethel): “Ever Be” [https://youtu.be/BhasSpSBdEE]
Lyrics: “You will be praised, You will be praised
With angels and saints we sing worthy are You Lord
You will be praised, You will be praised
With angels and saints we sing worthy are You Lord”
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The rebbe turned slowly towards him. “I came to your house to fulfill a mitzvah. Thank G d, I succeeded.”
Pastor John Tolle: Learn from that lady!
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Which mitzvah?”
American Friends of Magen David Adom: MIRACLES IN ISRAEL!
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Parashat Kedoshim begins with the words, “Speak to the entire congregation of the Children of Israel and tell them be holy because I, G d, am holy” (Lev. 19:2). A command to the entire Jewish nation to be holy! And why? Because G d is holy! It is within the power of every Jew to reach the level of holiness of even the High Priest himself, the main subject of Acharei Mot.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Our sages say that just as it is a mitzvah to speak out when you will be listened to, so it is a mitzvah to not say anything when you know you will not be listened to. (Ed. note: see Leviticus 19:17 and commentaries there.)
Dawn Hill: It is easy to focus on the expense of the oil poured out while forgetting the jar holding the oil. Alabaster jars were not without value, and this stone was used to adorn Solomon’s temple (see 1 Chronicles 29:2). Choosing to yield as God’s habitation is a response to the King’s invitation to come up higher. It is a mandate not only for endued power, but for eternal holiness and consecration. There is an unsettling disregard for holiness when we are content with the life of a polluted vessel, while expecting the fullness of His anointing to flow through us. Ecclesiastes 10:1 says, “Dead flies give perfume a bad smell.” The world needs to encounter the fragrance without contamination and compromise.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “But what does it mean to not say anything?” the Rebbe continued. “To sit in your house in silence? Not at all. You have to go to the person to whom you are not supposed to say what he won’t listen to, and then face-to-face refrain from saying it!
Kenneth L. Samuel: “And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” – Psalm 23:6
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “And that,” concluded the rebbe, “is precisely what I did.”
Kenneth L. Samuel: For many persons, the final words of the celebrated twenty-third Psalm speak to the heavenly abode of an eternal resting place. But Psalm 23 is actually written from the perspective of a sheep. While sheep may or may not have visions of a celestial home, what they do have is a sense of security and satisfaction, as they abide within the flock of a good shepherd.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “So what is it that you did not say?” queried the bewildered bank manager.
Novena: You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “I can’t tell you that.”
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: There is another vital message here. Often we are afraid to initiate new projects, to undertake new ventures, to ask someone for assistance, since we are scared of what the response might be. If we march ahead, we might experience rejection, and that never feels good. If you are by nature soft and sensitive, getting a “no,” feels devastating. Some people never live out their dreams because they are too afraid of the feedback.
Pastor John Tolle: Does someone grab your life? And then I’m supposed to say softly, “Please take your hands off…”? That’s not my personality. We are supposed to pray at all times with supplication. Violent prayer is included!
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Why not?”
Pastor John Tolle: Shut up! Remember the time the jackass spoke?
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Because then I will lose my mitzvah!”
Kris Vallotton: Therefore, as I said last Sunday night, I sincerely apologize for my comments I made that hurt women and created a lot of confusion over my position. Please forgive me!! I have always protected and empowered women and I celebrate any movement that helps them.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “But how do you know that I wouldn’t listen?”
Kenneth L. Samuel: When the sheep know that they are guided by a shepherd who allows them to lie down in green pastures beside still waters . . . a shepherd who protects them from the infestation of parasites by anointing their heads with oil . . . and a shepherd who prepares a place for them to graze on mountain table lands in the presence of their predators . . . the sheep are content to remain within the household of the good shepherd’s fold forever.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “I know.”
Novena: Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “But you can’t know that. You must tell me what it is!” pleaded the bank manager, totally overcome by curiosity.
Shira Schechter: Why might the prohibition on worshiping Molech be included in a chapter that details forbidden relationships?
Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai (in “Redeeming Judas” 15 Apr 18): Come and see. The slander that the Snake told the woman [Eve] caused death to be pronounced upon the world.
Revelation 19: 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
Henry Karlson [echo]: “…Pope Francis tells us Christ’s answer. Will we listen?”
Pastor John Tolle (22 Apr 18): The birds of the air are like the devil to snatch.
Novena: No one, not even the evil one himself, can take it away from your precious care.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “I’m sorry. No,” said the rebbe firmly.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: And this is why this week’s reading begins with the warning, “Do not enter the Temple just any time…” (Ibid. 16:2). The teaching to each of us is to love G d but to find ways connected to this world to express it.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: After several more rounds, the bank manager begged: “Please, please, please, at least give me a chance.”
Luke 17: 14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
Rabbi YY Jacobson (in “Mary, Untier of Knots” 21 Apr 18): Moshiach the Leper
The Story of the Four Lepers In Our Own Lives [https://www.theyeshiva.net/jewish/4222]
Brat: Thank You, Jesus! When You cleansed the ten lepers (Luke 17), one came back to say thank you and he was not even a Jew. Thank You for taking on our stripes and bearing them for us. You personally know what it is like to endure slander and verbal cannibalism. You block that with the holy Eucharist.
Patheos: Vatican Rejects German Proposal for Intercommunion
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: That is why the name given to Moshiach is the “metzorah,” the “leper.” How will Moshiach heal such an insane world (a “meshugene velt?”) He will show that the healing energy was always there. We were just misreading the map—the map of ourselves and of others.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: “And you should not walk in their laws….” (Ibid. 18:3) This is the Torah admonition not to follow the ways of the non-Jews. The author of Yosef Daas says that it is disgraceful for us to follow the ways of the nations, even if those ways are reasonable and logical for that time and place. It is incumbent upon us to stay as apart as possible. (Did he have teenagers?) Still, when all else fails, he says that we should beware of their “chukim”, their premises, lest we take them on as though they were our own.
Kenneth L. Samuel: Are We There Yet?
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: The late Jewish philanthropist Irving Stone spent a lifetime studying greatness, writing novelized biographies of such men as Michelangelo, Vincent van Gogh, Sigmund Freud, and others. Stone was once asked if he had found a thread that runs through the lives of all these exceptional people. He said, “I write about people who sometime in their life have a vision or dream of something that should be accomplished and they go to work. They are beaten over the head, knocked down, vilified, and for years they get nowhere. But every time they’re knocked down, they stand up. You cannot destroy these people. And at the end of their lives they’ve accomplished some modest part of what they set out to do.”
Pastor John Tolle: The story uses people to convey the message.
Eliezer Shore: By not arousing judgment upon a sinner, who is overcome by his desires, you fulfill the verse “You shall not incline the judgment of your poor in his dispute” (Ex. 23:6). When trials and conflict overwhelm him (i.e. when he struggles against his own evil inclination) from the “waters of dispute” (Num. 20:13), i.e. evil and malicious waters, you should arouse favorable judgments upon him.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: On the verse “Do not stand by the blood of your fellow-Jew” (Ibid. 19:16), Rashi explains, “If you see him drowning, it is forbidden to stand aside”. Spiritually, too, we must do whatever we can to save a “drowning” Jew and draw him to the shore of his Torah-true heritage. We must not stand aside with the excuse, “Who am I to help this person?” No matter how we perceive our abilities or level of understanding, the fact that one is there to see and understand his or her fellow-Jew’s situation is the critical factor; it indicates that Divine Providence wishes you to help him, and therefore guarantees you the necessary strength and skills.
Brat: Jesus was a Jew.
Kris Vallotton: I pray this movement shifts America towards honoring women and protecting them from sexual harassment and abuse. May God help us!
Pastor John Tolle: Revelation 3 talks about an “open door.” He is talking within the context of knowing we are faithful to the Lord. We have little strength.
Emily C. Heath (in “Redeeming Judas” 15 Apr 18): Those are the days when I realize that it’s time to get back to practicing, and back to the heavy lifting. A funny thing happens when I do that; suddenly the load doesn’t feel that heavy at all.
Anita Alexander: These are the days and times that the Lord is perfecting that which concerns you (see Psalm 138:8)! These are the days and times that He is inviting you to let go of trying to do “that which concerns you” in your own strength. He will take you outside of your ability in order to flow in His. This can be a stressful time for those who rely heavily on what they can achieve and those who rely on their own natural insight and wisdom.
God: You do your lifting and I’ll do Mine.
Novena: I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once and for all. You are my hope. O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains. Hear my plea. Keep me, guide me, protect me, o safe refuge!
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Sometimes we feel stuck in life. We find ourselves between a rock and a hard ball. All options seem bleak. The worst thing to do in such a situation is to remain in one place. You must stand up and move. You must make a change; do something. Anything. But move forward. Even though you think you are subjecting yourself to further disaster, just making that move can transform your reality and you may discover an unexpected result that can alter your entire situation.
Brat: Writing and prayer IS doing something! It’s a conversation! Our words matter! Our prayers matter!
Novena: Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.
Kenneth L. Samuel: For many of us, our best lives are always located in some distant place in the future. But what if our best life is ready to be lived by us today, in the here and now? Many of us are always reaching past our present and searching beyond our circumstances to find satisfaction. But what if this really is as good as it gets?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This is connected to the true definition of the word “kedoshim” (simply translated as “holy ones”). In general, it means separate and aloof from the world’s temptations. Nevertheless, the intention is not simply to be absolutely apart from the world as is emphasized in other religions. Judaism does not have monasteries or convents. The point is to be separated in a way of “kedusha” – holiness. This is a uniquely Jewish idea: to be involved in the world but to remain above it until your actions begin to sanctify the world. Therefore, the name of this portion hints at this idea of being separate yet drawing all that we touch into sanctity.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Oh, all right,” said the rebbe reluctantly. “Yesterday a distraught woman, recently widowed, came to speak to me. Apparently, she received a notice from your bank that it has decided to put her house up for auction next week, because she owes so much on the mortgage. That means she and her little children will be out on the street. She asked me to speak to you, because she knows that you are Jewish. She hoped I could influence you to be compassionate. I, however, did not bring it up to you, because of the mitzvah to not say.”
Novena: In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “But Rebbe,” cried out the banker in frustration, “You don’t understand! It’s not me she owes, it’s the bank. I don’t own the bank, I only manage it; I don’t set policy. Besides—”
Kenneth L. Samuel: It could mean that God is present and active, not just in our planning for tomorrow, but in how we show up today. It could mean that a change for the better is much more dependent upon our present attitudes than our future aspirations. It could mean that the hope of what we’ve been promised is directly related to the potential of what we already have.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: “Right,” the rebbe interrupted. “As I said. I knew you wouldn’t listen. Good night.”
Pastor John Tolle: I can’t reach the people in the circle of your life.
Brat: And I can’t reach the pope. So we pray for him. And I pray for you.
Novena: Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.
Monk: Twitterpated.
Brat: I don’t tweet.
Verse of the Day (22 Apr 18): For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. ~ Romans 1:20 NIV
Brat: I can’t remember how many times and in how many ways I’ve tried to reach the pope or his underlings to tell him the remnant is ready.
John 15:3 You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.
Brat (in “Redeeming Judas” 15 Apr 18): Lord, please send a messenger to Pope Francis and let him know that a holy remnant is not holding on to the letter that kills, but that we are embracing mercy to lift up the sinner and welcome them back with love. We listened. We were not killed by the second death, just as Jesus said would happen. (Rev 20:6)
Chabad.org: Hachnosas Kallah: Many poor folk manage to eke out a living without relying on others until their children reach marriageable age, when the expenses of holding a respectable wedding and setting up the new couple prove beyond their modest means. People collecting money to marry off their children may state that they are collecting for hachnosas kallah (“bringing in the bride”), which the Mishnah lists as a cause so special that it pays immediate dividends to the donor in This World, and the principal still awaits them in the World to Come. [Peiah 1:1.]
Kalley Heiligenthal (Bethel): “Ever Be” [https://youtu.be/BhasSpSBdEE]
Lyrics: “You father the orphan
Your kindness makes us whole
And you shoulder our weakness
And your strength becomes our own
Now you’re making me like You
Clothing me in white
Bringing beauty from ashes
For You will have Your bride.”
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: The lepers notified the guard at the gate of the city about the news. The gatekeeper had a hard time convincing the king that the Syrians had actually left and were not planning an ambush, but after sending some of his soldiers first, news came back to the monarch that indeed the Syrians have left behind all their belongings and enormous quantities of food.
Brat: If I remember correctly, both Kris Vallotton and Lance Wallnau have had an audience with Pope Francis. They don’t have to change their personalities. Just do the right thing!
Eliezer Shore: Really, this is all a great test. For a person is never sentenced for his crimes until he first passes judgment upon himself. And since he will certainly not judge himself, they show him a person who did something similar. When he passes judgment upon the latter, he seals the judgment on himself, as well.
Rabbi Dr. Eliezer Shore: The Baal Shem Tov commented on the verse “Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the despised” (Psalms 19:9), explaining that when you see a wicked person commit some despicable act or grievous sin, you should judge him favorably. He only did it because his passions overcame him, and he has a coarse physical nature, or he doesn’t realize the seriousness of the crime. [You should think] these and similar thoughts. Then, you also save yourself from judgment; for seeing this low thing in your friend should make you realize that you share a similar trait, and that there are judgments and accusations upon you, as well. When you can judge your friend favorably, you will likewise be judged.
Dawn Hill: You must realize your value rests in Jesus Christ. His extravagance in atonement and sacrifice is to be reciprocated through those who spare no expense in their devotion to Him. The wasted life is one of passion and pursuit of everything contrary to human logic. The world will never understand your desire to pour yourself out to God. The religious are content in squeezing out the bare minimum. Living the wasted life is costly yet priceless, and if done well, it releases a fragrance that intoxicates the Throne Room. Wasted ones release the paradigm that is reformation.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The rebbe walked up the steps to his dwelling, followed by his attendant. The door closed behind them. The bank manager stood immobile, stunned. Finally, he walked home, alone and bemused. But the matter had entered his heart, and he was unable to dismiss it.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Sometimes you feel stuck in your business, in your marriage, in your personal psychological condition, or in any other paralyzing situation in life. The worst thing you can do is remain in one place and wait to wither away. Move! Reach out and speak to another person. Change your schedule. Start doing something new and different in your life. Open yourself up to new types of projects, peoples and experiences. Shock your system. Start biking; go to the gym; join a class, a group, become part of a project. Open yourself up to someone and share that which shames you most. Start learning Torah. Whatever you choose—but ensure it is something new and different. When we change our familiar patterns we open new pathways in our brains, and we generate new energy around us—and that can create opportunities unimaginable before.
Kris Vallotton: If you want to read more about my thoughts on women, and why I believe that God is in the middle of the #MeToo Movement, I encourage you to check out this blog.
Dawn Hill: God is wooing the wasted ones—those who will pour it all out just to see Him glorified. There is the temptation to hoard the oil and to tout of the anointing and our spiritual fatness and worth, but we must realize that the fragrance from the oil is not evident until the vessel is broken open. You can have a tremendous amount of oil held within, but it does not change the atmosphere until you answer the invitation to break. You do not understand the true value until you are willing to waste it all on Jesus.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: Before the week was up, he had paid the widow’s entire mortgage out of his own personal account.
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Rabbi Avraham Brandwein: The same applies to learning Torah. It is permissible and even desirable for one to enjoy learning, for this gives one more motivation to learn. This is the meaning of “One might ask if ‘I will be like G d?’” A person cannot be only a giver without receiving anything for himself; only G d can do this. What we receive is the portion that we give to the Sitra Achra, which is within all people; otherwise, holiness could not continue to exist. This is the meaning of “Be holy:” give to others from what you have received beyond what is necessary for yourself, for this is the appropriate way for a created being to express its G d-given holiness.
Kenneth L. Samuel: Prayer
Lord beyond the joy of my destiny, please grant me real satisfaction along the journey . . . every day. Amen.

Rob Radosti: “Are you going to let the world show up My Church when it comes to loving and serving humanity?
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: At the conclusion of this whole chapter, the Torah states, “In order to make a distinction between what is impure and what is pure”, etc. When we recite the blessing of Havdala at the conclusion of Shabbat, the formula is: “Who separates between the sacred and the profane, between the People of Israel and the other nations….” This means that there is a vital difference between (even) ordinary Israelites, non-priests, and members of the gentile nations. It is this thought which Vayikra Rabba quotes in the name of Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish when the latter saw in the words (Lev. 11:9) a warning to the Jewish people that “if you merit it, you will consume the gentile nations, if not, you will be consumed by them.”
Acts 10:13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
Professor: Peter represents the Roman Catholic Church in today’s world.
Rob Radosti: For I am raising up in this hour those who will be the most hardcore lovers of humanity that this earth has seen since Jesus and His disciples walked the earth!
Psalm 40:9 I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; see, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O LORD.
Rob Radosti: We cannot let the secular system love and serve people better than we do. It is time to stop scaring the Hell out of the world – and start loving the Hell out of them (literally)!
WATCH (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): The Lance Wallnau Show: Vatican Debates “If Hell Is Fake.”
Brat: You can debate until we are all blue in the face. You can (and maybe have?) told me to “go to hell.” But we’re already here! Why else would Jesus have prayed for His Kingdom to come here to earth but to invade what hell took over?
Matthew 23:15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
“Finding Nemo”: “Beyond The Sea” [https://youtu.be/EchU-2S4SwA]
(by Robbie Williams)
Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My Lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing
Psalm 45:13 with all kinds of wealth. The princess is decked in her chamber with gold-woven robes
Rick Joyner: Here we see that the complete destruction of Mystery Babylon is coming. The “sea” in prophetic symbolism often refers to mass humanity, indicating that Babylon will ultimately be swallowed up by the people. A number of times in history, it appeared as if this would be the case, such as during the French Revolution. However, although Babylon’s power over the nations is now but a fraction of what it once was, it continues to this day, so this has not happened yet.
Henry Karlson: Perhaps you will say: today’s Church does not walk in the rite of communion as in former times, when most holy men affirmed by word and deed that the sacrament under both species, by the force of Christ’s precept, was necessary. Could the Church have been in error at that time? Certainly not! If not, how is what was then universally affirmed not true today, since this Church is the same as that one? Certainly it should not disturb you that the rite of sacrifices – and even of the sacraments – is found to be different at different times, while the truth stands fast. The Scriptures are both adapted to the times and understood in various ways, so that they are set forth at one time according to the current universal rite, but when that rite changes, opinions about it change again. Christ, to whom the Father handed over the celestial and terrestrial kingdoms, ruling by means of a wonderous order of angels and men, dispenses mysteries according to the changing of times; and He supplies what fits particular times by hidden inspiration or evident demonstration.
Wendy Alec: “The step-sisters of hard toil, of intense and unrelenting warfare and “survival-mode” have been given an edict by My courts of justice: No more! My angelic host have been loosed to unfetter you from the enemy’s grasp. It is time to dream again. I am about to loose a tsunami of My goodness into your land of the living so that My Cinderellas’ faith may be rebuilt—goodness upon goodness, dream upon dream.
Binyomin Adilman: For this reason, the next verse (Lev.14:5) tells us that the one of the birds of the sacrifice was to be slaughtered in an earthenware vessel, over live running water. The earthenware vessel reminds the so-called “leper” of his humble lowly state. Yet the live waters serve to refresh and revive him, preventing him from becoming despondent. Living waters symbolize the Torah; through Torah and mitzvot he will regain the stature that he lost.
Ella Onakoya: I believe the revelation of the hand holding the jar of water in the dream signifies the movement of the power of God to release His people into the freedom of seeing correctly. Whenever the hand of God is mentioned in Scripture, it always signifies the power of God to deliver and set free. Water signifies both the Spirit and the Word. Therefore, the mighty hand of God is going to move powerfully in these days to release moves of His Spirit through the fusion of His Spirit and His Word. Scales of deception will fall off eyes and hearts as God’s Spirit of Revelation is poured out for the understanding of Scripture.
Somewhere beyond the sea
She’s there watching for me
And if I could fly
Like birds on high
Then straight to her arms
I go sailing
[Revelation 18: 15 The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn]
It’s far beyond the stars
It’s near beyond the moon
I know beyond the doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
[Hebrews 10:10 And it is by God’s will that we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.]
We’ll meet beyond the shore
We’ll kiss just like before
Happy we’ll be beyond the sea
And never again I’ll go sailing
[Psalm 45:15 With joy and gladness they are led along as they enter the palace of the King.]

Acts 10:6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Fins, the wing-like organs that propel fish forward, represent ambition. A healthy sense of ambition, knowing one’s strengths and wanting to utilize them in full, gives a person the impetus to traverse the turbulent sea of life and to maximize his or her G d-given potential. It propels us to fulfill our dreams and leave our unique imprint on the world.
Acts 10:10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
Bracha Goetz: Hungry? Or Is That the Soul That’s Grumbling?
Luke 24:41 While in their joy they were disbelieving and still wondering, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
Ella Onakoya: I eventually got my own Bible and started to minister from Revelation 22. I began to speak on the revival and the healing of the nations. As I spoke, the saints became hungry and intensely awakened to this coming move of God. I believe the Lord is on course to awaken His Church and open our eyes to the fulfillment of His Word for the great harvest that is coming in the nations.
Luke 24:45 Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures,
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: Nowadays, when we do not have a Temple and an altar, it is our table which has to serve as the instrument for our atonement. The author of Emek Ha-Beracha also states that a heavenly sanctity rests on foods which are pure and permitted, and this is alluded to in the verse “This is the animal which you should eat – but this you should not eat.” (Lev. 11:2)
Acts 10: 9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
Binyomin Adilman: Love as well as fear of G-d are the two wings with which we ascend spiritually
Hebrews 10:8 When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law)
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: In a similar way, “Shabbat Shemini” hints at two levels in G dly service. Shabbat is the seventh day and completion of the creation process. However, despite being the pinnacle, Shabbat is still part of this natural process. “Shemini”, from the Hebrew word meaning “eight”, hints at a level superceding nature and creation. Eight is unbounded by the reality of the world. Shabbat Shemini is thus a combination of these two levels. The lesson for us is that even after serving G d through all natural means (a feat in itself), one must strive to serve G d above the natural reality, not letting the world’s limitations affect us.
Brat (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): The second death has no power over us. (Rev 20:6)
Henry Karlson: The church promotes mercy and grace. While it is a human institution, often slow in change, nonetheless, the Holy Spirit works with it, guiding and directing it, making for changes as needed. The church, like the Sabbath, is made for the people, not the people for the church. When grace is being subverted, the Holy Spirit will act, so that the people once again can be reached by the grace of Christ. This has always been the case, which is why the arguments of those who resist the prompting of the Spirit always remains the same: legalistic and without grace or mercy. After all, did not the church have to deal with similar contentions when the Novatians forbade mercy to the lapsed with the Novatian saying that the church was changing its ways by granting forgiveness and communion to the fallen? Did not the church have to deal with similar contentions with the Jansenists, whose legalism caused many people to be over-scrupulous, forgetting the mercy which Christ has given to all? As St. Cyprian explained, our church should follow and imitate Christ, who would not kick people away because of their spiritual wounds:
Brat: [Sigh.] I was praying the Mercy Novena and on the final day of the ten-day prayer (on Mercy Sunday, 8 Apr 18) and the last prayer never showed up in my inbox. It was the epitome of irony, only to be followed up the next day with an Easter blessing, a selfie portrait of the organizers, and a plea to send money. I prayed mercy, forgiveness, and grace upon them.
Bing: “Novatian” is the substitution of a new contract in place of an old one.
Blonde: Oh.
Binyomin Adilman: “Then the priest shall command to take two clean living birds and cedar wood, scarlet wool and hyssop, for the purification of the so-called “leper”.”(Lev. 14:4)
Brat: I wonder if jail birds who have just taken a shower count as ‘two clean living birds’.
Acts 10:11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: G d showed Moses the positive spiritual impact which consuming certain animals would have on the people eating them – and the negative spiritual impact of certain other animals. He showed Moses the respective influence of those animals in the higher regions. Thereupon Moses understood why some categories of animals are termed “pure”, whereas others are termed “impure”. This is the mystical dimension of the verse “You shall eat in front of the Lord your G d”: (Deut. 14:23) this is a reference to the “Table”, i.e. a reference to the sacred element of the act of eating.
Acts 10:14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: The verses “Bless the Lord, O my soul” (Psalms 1014:1) and “They ate and drank and had a vision of G d” (Ex. 24:11) are reminders of the impact consumption of food has on our spiritual faculties. This means that even when the Israelites consume food which has not first been specifically sanctified as a sacrifice, such meals are considered an act of spiritual significance. When gentiles eat, on the other hand, this is a totally profane activity.
Psalm 40:8 I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The Lubavitcher Rebbe writes that the number 7 corresponds to the world in its fullest sense, comparable to the repeating order of the seven days of the week. Consequently, the number 8, one more than 7, relates to the transcendent – higher than the order of nature.
Yehoshua Metzinger: In our service to G d, we experience ratzo as we meditate during the Morning Prayer service from the Psukei D’zimra (Verses of Song) to the Reading of the Shema. We are going past the boundary that conceals G d from us, and as we progress to a higher level, we can meditate on how the countless angels tremble before the throne of G d. They serve him with total dedication and are nullified to His essence, even though they comprehend only a ray of it. G d, however, is omniscient and unlimited. It is only through ratzo, breaking the boundaries in our thinking, that we are able to reach a level where we can begin to achieve an understanding of G d’s unity and a love of G d through meditation and prayer.
Anna Blake (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): Learning to connect with horses in the present takes mental focus. Notice that. Your brain might be out of shape. It’s a kind of meditation and for over-thinking humans, it takes a herculean effort to do less; patience is required. Start with two minutes, walk and breathe. Work up to five minutes. Be kind to yourself if you feel like a fidgeting kid in math class. Show yourself tolerance and give your horse a nod. He’s doing his best, when you see yourself through his eyes.
Acts 10:17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate.
Anna Blake: One of us flaps our legs while standing still, banging our boots in the stirrups, twisting around in the saddle, then leaning down to throw our arms around his neck. We mean to be funny and child-like and show a certain sort of lazy bravado. We mean to act like there’s no special skill involved in riding. Then to get a dramatic response, we jerk the reins hard sideways and pop the gelding with both feet. Oh, and spurs.
Henry Karlson: Because of the work of the Holy Spirit in guiding the church, Nicholas pointed out it was important for everyone to heed the direction the church was heading. Those who contended with objections, finding legalistic excuses to dismiss the pastoral mission of the church, pit the church against Christ; to say we must listen to Christ above the church is to disassociate the two, causing Christ to fight against his own body; it is presumption, Nicholas explained, which caused this divide:
Anna Blake: His thought balloon: (lost balance. shift. find balance. is that a cue? never mind. not on my neck. sore. rebalance. like a huge boneless chicken. can’t balance. ouch! bang! gouge! sour. not stupid. stiffen jaw. brace ribs. ick.)
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: The Talmud’s answer is marvelous: “This is so that ‘Torah be increased and made great.'” This means that our spiritual mission consists not only of professing integrity and morality, but also of developing our full potential materially and spiritually. G d wants us to be good; but He also wants us to be successful and shine; to utilize all of our talents and resources to transform the landscape of our planet into an abode for the Divine; to make the Torah “great and large.” The light, majesty and depth of Torah must penetrate the entire world and turn it into an oasis of goodness and holiness.
Acts 10:20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Taking another step, 7 also relates to G d limiting His revelation in this world so that physicality can exist. (If G d did not do so, the natural reality would be overwhelmed with such a great spiritual inundation, and therefore be utterly nullified before it.) On the other hand, 8 is seen as G dly revelation unlimited by natural laws, as when miracles occur. But just as there can be no value of 8 without the preceding 7, so too, the level of 8 is, in fact, connected to reality.
Psalm 40:7 Then I said, “Here I am; in the scroll of the book it is written of me.
Luke 24:44 Then he said to them, “These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you–that everything written about Me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms must be fulfilled.”
Dr. Paul L. Cox (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): Reestablish godly boundaries between righteousness and holiness and align these to You.
Brat: You talk about conspiracies. Do you think I was joking when I brought up the Jesuits? They have tools, resources, and manpower to get to the bottom of this tangled web we weave. I believe God has set them aside (consecrated) them for a purpose and deliberately NOT included them in our collective story all these years, so that they could be impartial witnesses. The Two Witnesses on this stage are hardly impartial!
Quinn G. Caldwell: Prayer
God, save me from becoming click bait. Amen.
Rick Joyner: In the next chapter of Revelation, we are told how to respond to this Mystery Babylon, and we will cover this next week. In the meantime, we should consider if we want to keep investing our time and resources into something with a doom that is sure. We also need to consider what we do invest in—the city that God, not men, is building, the one whose foundations cannot be shaken. All of this is so we know how to distinguish the two.
Anna Blake: One of us is holding mane tight, teetering a bit on the mounting block. Then carefully inserting one foot in the stirrup, holding a shallow breath, and slow and soft as a coyote, bringing the other leg over the saddle, careful to not land too hard. Trying to be invisible, thighs are so tight that we’re hovering more than sitting. Lurking lightly with our seat, hands, cues, voice. Whoa, not so fast. And constantly apologizing.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The tzadik then explained to Reb Naftali that this man had once been close to him, and the tzadik had been able to help him keep his distance from evil. Lately, however, various circumstances had combined to prevent him from visiting Neshchiz, and the link between them had been severed.
Brat: I’m having such a “blonde moment”! You could be talking about me! What’s a girl to do??
Anna Blake: His thought balloon: (can feel you. stalk me. vapor for brains. afraid of my back. teeth in her knees. what? please breathe. worry. say again? anxiety. done something wrong. what moved? always wrong. hear that? spook.)
Acts 10:21 Peter went down and said to the men, “I’m the one you’re looking for. Why have you come?”
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: At first he had become sullied with lesser transgressions, but since, as the Sages teach, “One sin brings another in its train,” he reached the point where he asked himself: “How am I going to end up? After all, I am really neither a Jew nor a goy. I can hardly go off to Neshchiz to visit the rebbe, for he will recognize at once that I am utterly enslaved to the Evil Inclination. On the other hand, if I don’t go, I will simply become more and more deeply entangled in sin.” And so he had continued to ponder the possibilities open to him, until finally he had decided to break his ties with his faith, and to become an apostate, G d forbid.
Brat: What’s a “goy”?
Bing: “A Jewish name for a non-Jew.”

Bracha Goetz: Rabbi Nachman of Breslov taught: “The negative impulse is like someone who runs among people with his hand closed, and nobody knows what is in it. He tricks people and asks each one: ‘What am I holding?’ Each person assumes that the closed hand holds something he desires very much. So everyone runs after him. Eventually, he opens his hand and there is nothing there at all.”
Henry Karlson: When, however, presumptuous rashness prefers some rite or other to unity and peace, even if that rite should be good, holy and praiseworthy in itself, it is damnable.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: He called all the young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, “It has come time for me to step down and to choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you.” The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued: “I am going to give each one of you a seed today. One seed. It is a very special seed. I want you to go home, plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I will then judge the plants that you bring to me, and the one I choose will be the next emperor of the kingdom!”
Wendy Alec: “Lay down your broom, Cinderella, the enemy has been raging against you for too long. He has even been cruel and ruthless against you, even as the step-sisters were cruel against Cinderella, knowing and sensing the destiny upon her life. Lay down your broom which signifies the past season of hardship and survival, and look before you. For I have laid out your ball gown and your sparkling dancing shoes. Wash your face from the tears, for you are My Esther, My Deborah; My princess.”
Brat: Hasn’t it been a year already, since the last time you shared this story, Rabbi YY? Everything with you has meaning and significance. Even repeated stories and jokes convey new messages when delivered by your hands.
Rick Joyner: The great cathedrals were the primary building projects in Europe during the Middle Ages. These cathedrals were probably the best acoustically designed buildings of the period and were where the great musicians of the time played. The institutional church was the primary supporter of music, the arts, and of the great architects of the time. Of course, institutional churches are also the primary place that brides and bridegrooms are to be found to this day. So it is clear what this points to.
Steve Porter: When The Bride Finds Favor With Her Groom
Henry Karlson: Not infrequently, contrary to the promptings of the Spirit, the life of the Church can become a museum piece or the possession of a select few. This can occur when some groups of Christians give excessive importance to certain rules, customs or ways of acting. The Gospel then tends to be reduced and constricted, deprived of its simplicity, allure and savour. This may well be a subtle form of pelagianism, for it appears to subject the life of grace to certain human structures. It can affect groups, movements and communities, and it explains why so often they begin with an intense life in the Spirit, only to end up fossilized… or corrupt.
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: We must ask why the four empires, hosts of Israel in its various exiles, are mentioned in this Midrash at all? Our sages have described the Jewish people as serving idols in purity while in exile. Pardes Rimonim explains this by pointing out that G d’s bounty to Israel while they are in exile is directed via the respective celestial representative of our host nation. G d (Lev. 16:16) is on record that: “I remain their G d while dwelling amongst them in their impurity”. (See Rashi on this verse). This is proof that sanctity still adheres to the Jewish people even in exile. The reasons for this, partially, are that G d’s praises emanate from the mouths of the Jewish people by way of the food they consume. The Jewish people realize that it is G d who orders all food to grow in order that it may become the instrument of the people’s sanctification.
Bracha Goetz: And here is the key takeaway: When we overeat, it’s our souls that are hungry. We need to feed that void. Is it possible to recover from food addictions joyfully and savor life’s greatest pleasures? Yes, that’s what happens each time we fill our souls!
Acts 10:12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.
Brat: No fish are mentioned in Peter’s vision.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: The Talmud teaches that all fish that have scales also have fins. But there are fish that have fins but do not have scales, and are thus non-kosher. On a deeper level this symbolizes the idea that a human being who possesses fins may still lack scales and thus remain “non-kosher.” He might swim and frolic through large seas and oceans with his talent and genius, but his achievements may be corrupt, hurting others in the process. Creating ambitious and confident children does not guarantee their moral uprightness and integrity. Our recent financial scandals are the result of people who had fins but no scales.
Jamila Jordan Moody (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): I cannot remember much about the message but I do remember hearing the woman of GOD teaching the message saying this, “sow something.” So that night during the message I sowed what I had which was $4.26. And as I moved in obedience, I sowed that $4.26 as if I were giving $426 and I immediately saw GOD move. The very same week, I received a donation for my book publishing fees from a woman I’d never met or spoken to before. Wow! That was nobody but GOD and as I continued to obey those promptings to give, I saw GOD supernaturally pay off my final payment through a dear couple who wrote me a check for over $800.
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef: Even if in truth they do possess some knowledge about holy names, it is reasonable to say that they are causing great damage by using these names, for this is not child’s play that immediately upon reciting a specific holy name the sick person will be healed immediately. This is a deep and complex issue and whoever has only slight knowledge of this issue will end up causing much more damage than good. This is in addition to his great punishment and wickedness for his sin of profaning Divine Name in order to raise his own name.
Psalm 45:7 you love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: But at that point a new idea had entered his head: “Let me make one more trial. I will make the journey to Neshchiz, and there I will see: if he receives me warmly, that shows that there is hope for me yet; I’ll put my life in order, be a good Jew again, and visit the rebbe often, just like I used to do. But if he doesn’t, then I’ll make a clean break with him and with Judaism altogether.”
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: The Rabbis and Mystics teach that the physical attributes of kosher fish, fins and scales, reflect their psychological and spiritual qualities.

Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Second, when the Torah presents the reason for these animals not being kosher, it does so in a very strange fashion, mentioning its kosher factor as the primary cause for its non-kosher status: “But these animals you shall not eat… the camel, because it brings up its cud, and does not have a cloven hoof… And the pig, because it has a hoof that is completely split, and does not regurgitate its cud.” We would expect the Torah to state it differently: “The camel because it does not have a cloven hoof, even though it chews its cud… the pig because it doesn’t chew its cud, even though it has split hooves.
Psalm 45:16 In the place of ancestors You, O king, shall have sons; You will make them princes in all the earth.
Rick Joyner: Institutional churches were the center of life and culture, with much of the art and music still impressing and inspiring us today. Even so, no amount of good works can pay for our sin, and it is also true that the blood of more martyrs and saints are found on the hands of the institutional church than by the hands of all other sources combined.
Revelation 18:7 Give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, ‘I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.’
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: If you would want to explain to someone why he is not an American citizen, you would not say: “You are not a citizen of this country because your parents were born here, but you were not.” The proper way of saying it would be: “You’re not a citizen because you were not born here, even though your parents were born here.”
Psalm 45:17 I will cause Your name to be celebrated in all generations; therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Scales, the “armor” that shields and protects the body of the fish, represents the quality of integrity, which protects us from falling prey to the many pitfalls that life presents. A man of integrity will not deceive his customers, despite the apparent financial profits involved. He will not tell a lie to a friend despite the short-term comfort gained by doing so. He will not cheat on his wife, despite the tremendous temptations experienced by many a male. Integrity means that you have absolute standards of right and wrong and that you are committed to a morality that transcends your moods and temptations. Integrity preserves and protects your life and your soul.
Psalm 40:10 I have not hidden Your saving help within my heart, I have spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness from the great congregation.
Rob Radosti: We are not salesmen, we are sons and daughters of a good Daddy! People are not a number, nor a project.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: “If so,” asks the Talmud, “the Torah could have written only ‘scales,’ without having to also write ‘fins’.” On a deeper level, the Talmud is asking, why is it important to emphasize the need for fins in developing a “kosher” human being? Why does an emphasis on ambition constitute part of a moral and “kosher” education? Why not just focus on integrity and ethics?

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef: …. This teaches us the severity of using what is commonly referred to as “Practical Kabbalah,” for even if there are individuals nowadays who may know how to use holy names for medical purposes and the like, one should abstain from consulting such sorcerers who may appear to be mystical and holy people. One who cherishes his soul should distance himself from such individuals who present themselves as Kabbalists when the extent of their integrity and righteousness is in serious question.

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef: If an individual requires a blessing for a certain salvation, he should seek out true Torah scholars who are the true authorities of Torah whom people respect and whose teachings and paths are logical and understandable, for G d will surely hear their prayers. Whoever cleaves to them and fears them is tantamount to cleaving to G d’s holy presence; praiseworthy is such a person and his lot.

Anna Blake: One of us wants to get it just right; reading books, watching videos hour after hour- dressage, reining, eventing. Nuno, Buck, Beezie, Tom- all on a first name basis. There’s a plan for each stride, a watch on the wrist, quickly mounting, shortening the reins, going to work. Trying to do our best, each effort judged with blinding perfection, over-cooked passion, and an obsessive desire to ride better each ride.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This is similar to our own relationship to G d. Even though our efforts are limited by our natural strengths, nevertheless, when we invest ourselves completely in our effort (related to the concept of “seven”), we will cause to shine down on us a level of holiness without limitation and higher than nature (related to “eight”). This is apparent with the Tabernacle in the desert; the efforts made during the seven days of construction were the required preparation for the revelation on the eighth day. What is the bottom line? We have to know that our effort in this dark exile is actually the preparation for the coming redemption. It is only through our effort now, that the divine light will be able to shine then.

Then all… went out to him and were… baptized… in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.” (Mark 1:1-5 NKJV)
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: In Vayikra Rabba (13:5) we are told that the reference of the Torah to the “camel which is chewing the cud” (Lev. 11:4) is an allusion to the kingdom of Babylonia which praised the Lord. As reported in Daniel, (4:31) their ruler Nebuchadnezzar praised G d for giving him back his sanity. The Talmud also reports that this king once made a runner run for 4 miles after a scribe to retrieve a letter to King Hezekiah in which he had greeted the king before greeting G d Almighty; he changed the form of address, realizing that it would be an insult if he mentioned G d only in second place.
Henry Karlson: In “Gaudete et exsultate,” Pope Francis calls out his critics, explaining it is a rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit in the church today to hold on to the dead letter of the past.
Brat: I wrote a living letter to Pope Francis on Friday, April 25, 2014 [Prophetic for Saint Mark’s Feast Day]. Here are the questions, since in July 2013 I’d done as the pope had told us to do to stir up our dioceses, and got silence:
The discernment process for the Church-as-Institution is ineffectual to protect the Called in our midst. Who stands for those of us who live for God and reject the political and social pull of modern-day pressures? Who stands for those of us who embrace the miracle of God, while standing amongst those who claim there is no God? Where is the Church for those of us who choose not to market or make a profit on our relationship with God? Who stands with God in agreement to bless the prophets and the anchorites who believe without reserve and who have a personal relationship with God? Who will bring this message to the Church? Or will we continue to reject the premise altogether?
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: Edom (the Roman Empire), on the other hand, is impure, and his food habits are worse than those of other nations, as had already been demonstrated by their patriarch Esau when he wanted the lentils Jacob had cooked. He said to Jacob, “Please pour some of this red, red [food] down my throat”. (Gen. 25:30) The exile the Jewish people suffer under the dominion of Edom is by far the worst. The Torah uses the pig as a symbol of the abominable manner in which this animal pretends to be pure, displaying its cleft hooves as proof, while refusing to chew the cud, a symbol of paying homage to G d. The mystical dimension of all this is described in Deut. 33:2. When food descends in a beneficial manner and is sacred in nature it is described as: “G d, You open Your hand”. (Psalms 145:16)
Psalm 45:1 My heart overflows with a goodly theme; I address my verses to the King; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.
Baal Shem Tov: “If I am not…” means: if I have negated my existence to G·d, then no foreign thoughts can distract me.

Acts 10:19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: A few days later, while the tzadik was at shul, a stranger visited his home and entered his study. Reb Naftali was there at the time, and no sooner had he laid eyes on this stranger than he perceived that he was besmirched with sin. He was unable to restrain himself, and blurted out: “Get out, you impure fellow! How dare you step over the rebbe’s threshold!”
Binyomin Adilman: The plague, or tzara’at [various skin diseases (usually and incorrectly translated as “leprosy”) that can render a person spiritually impure], came as a punishment for arrogance. What is the remedy? Let him relinquish his arrogance and consider himself as lowly as a worm [which was used to dye the scarlet wool] and the hyssop [a low scruffy shrub]. (Rashi)
Brat: Stop! You’re both priests! Are you the two ‘living birds’? Thank you for your prison ministry!
Dr. Paul L. Cox (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): Lord, please remove all (generational and lifetime) false and cheap grace, which is really lawlessness linked to an anti-Christ spirit. I understand that this false grace has resulted in an ungodly connection with the imposter.
Moshe-Yaakov Wisnefsky: As mentioned, haughtiness is such a severe blemish on a person’s personality that even G d Himself hates it. Thus, it is written, “G d reigns, He is robed in haughtiness.” (Psalms 93:1) That is, haughtiness is spoken of here as a mere article of clothing that G d dons in ruling the world in order to instill fear in His creatures and then immediately takes off. Thus our sages state, “Whenever you find mention [in the Bible] of G d’s greatness, you find immediate mention of His humility.” (Megilla 31a)

Ruth Hendrickson: “Joseph’s brothers were envious and jealous of him, but his father kept the words [of Joseph] in mind [wondering about their meaning].” This Scripture makes a key point in Genesis 37:11, that although Joseph’s brothers were truly jealous, his father wondered what the dreams meant. What I sense the Holy Spirit saying is that many of you have planted seeds that are being “pondered” not ignored.
Psalm 4:4 When you are disturbed, do not sin; ponder it on your beds, and be silent. Selah
Steve Porter: There’s nothing more charming than a woman in love, preparing to wed the man of her dreams, except when that woman is the beloved and beautiful Bride of Christ who is smitten with her King!
Psalm 45:11 and the King will desire your beauty. Since He is your Lord, bow to Him
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: When Reb Naftali described the visitor, the tzadik rebuked him: “Whatever have you done? Quick, quick! Hurry out and bring him here!”
Psalm 45:9 daughters of kings are among your ladies of honor; at your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.
Brat: Is the Roman Catholic Church also not called a “queen”?
Acts 10:1 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”
Psalm 45:10 Hear, O daughter, consider and incline your ear; forget your people and your father’s house
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: The pig…is an allusion to the Roman Empire…
Psalm 45:5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; the peoples fall under you.
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: The Torah uses extra words to explain that the daman chews its cud [a sign of being kosher], though it does not have split hooves [thus indicating that it is not kosher]. (Lev. 11:5) This is an allusion to the empire of the Medes, whose king Cyrus praised G d. (Ezra 1:2) The reference of the Torah to the hare, (Lev. 11:6) which similarly chews its cud, is an allusion to the Greek empire whose emperor Alexander the Great also paid homage to G d. The Talmud (Yoma 69) reports how this emperor deferred to the High Priest Shimon Ha-Tzadik, praising G d.
Anna Blake: It isn’t that we’re one of these riders; at one time or another, we’ve been all three. There is such a fine line between bravado and fear, both a lack of confidence. A fine line between caring too little and caring too much, both focus on control. A fine line between being too harsh and being too kind, both are uncomfortable for horses.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Once there was a beloved emperor in a small country who was growing old and knew it was coming time to choose his successor. Instead of choosing one of his assistants or one of his own children, he decided to do something different.
Steve Shultz: There is so much that God is doing in our current day. I sure enjoy reading the prophetic words coming out about the harvest, great stadium gatherings, and what is happening now “on earth as it is in Heaven.”
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Nothing can be further than the truth: the foundation of a moral and meaningful life is that I can be real and “naked” with G-d, with myself and with my close friends; that I can expose myself without facades. When religion is based on lies, it loses its purpose. In the world of Torah, the ugly truth is superior to the beautiful lie.
Brat: Venerable rabbi, what you say is truth. The priests and funny bunnies in my orbit (speaking of hares?) have not proven themselves trustworthy. It would be sheer stupidity on my part to expose myself to them without facades. This is why Jesus spoke in parables. The “religious” had created a scary world. I know, it’s so Shakespearean, but this is man’s way. Until the priests change their ways, these cycles will continue repeating themselves.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Of course, these animals are not hypocritical and dishonest by nature. Animals are usually honest. Rather, their physical characteristics are symbolic of moral qualities and when we eat them, these qualities effect our psyches, like all food which has a deep impact on the consumer.
Acts 10:16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
Brat: I know, I know, we keep going round and round, repeating the same messages, because no one will wake up and stand in the gap.
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef: …the term “using the crown” refers to one who uses G d’s ineffable name…

Anna Blake: Peace in the bubble: Just you and him, moving in unison, sharing breath, and covering ground. Just so you know, you’re also working on your canter depart, tempi changes, reining spins, negotiating an oxer.
Henry Karlson: This is the problem which Pope Francis has to deal with by many of his so-called Catholic critics who presume they can pit him against Christ. They say we are to obey Christ, which is true, but they ignore the relationship between obeying Christ and obeying the prompting of the Spirit in the church today; they are one and the same and are not to be separated. “He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me” (Lk. 10:16 RSV).
Bill Yount: I saw the Spirit of the Lord as a great ocean beginning to recede off an enormous shoreline. This was a season in time when “the tide” was beginning to go out. The Body of Christ was standing in the water, practically immersed in the tide. But as it gradually started to go out, we slowly became exposed, as though we could no longer be covered by the water. It seemed that we stood spiritually naked as the tide was still going out.
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: When referring to the pig, (Lev. 11:7) the Torah actually mentions that it does not chew the cud; it is an allusion to the Roman Empire, none of whose rulers paid homage to G d. Not only did the Romans not pay homage to G d, but they blasphemed against Him, as we know from the sarcastic remark “Who is there for me in Heaven?”, (Psalms 73:25) attributed to the Romans.
Randal Cutter: A Sign In The Heavens?
Rabbi Isaiah Horowitz: Sanctity still adheres to the Jewish people even in exile…
Professor: Chewing the cud can also be likened to meditation.
Anna Blake: This is silence. Your horse loves it.
Revelation 15:1 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God 3 and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb:
“Great and marvelous are your deeds,
Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
King of the nations.
4 Who will not fear you, Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
Binyomin Adilman: If the purpose of the service of purification is to have the so-called “leper” abandon his arrogance, then what is the purpose of cedar which is tall and stately and symbolizes pride?
Henry Karlson: Certainly in this lies the beginning of all presumption: when individuals judge their own understanding of divine commands to be more conformed to the divine will than that of the universal Church.
Acts 10:15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
Anna Blake: Allow him to walk in arcs. Turn your waist until your shoulders are at the angle you want your horse’s shoulders. Feel him bend between your legs in response. Acknowledge his try. Acknowledge him and say thank you.
Vince Viozzi: “The Fisherman are about to deliver the fish into the sanctuaries of many churches! Will you be ready to disciple them?”
Anna Blake: Now, using just your sit bones, ask for a longer stride. Not faster, longer. Feel that? Now back to your working walk, big breath. Stride on. Then ask for smaller steps, using only your sit bones. Good boy, thank you.
Binyomin Adilman: There is another well known explanation for the role of the cedar wood. When a person humbles himself in repentance, it is possible that the process can humiliate him so much that it is harmful. The addition of the cedar in the rite reminds the so-called “leper” that the purpose of his acquired humility is to make him a good person and not a pariah.
Anna Blake: Define conversation as communication in a mutual language. Horses have no words, so sing or chatter if you must, but breath is something you and your horse can share, it’ll create connection. Horses listen to your body and answer with theirs. Be aware of what you’re asking with your volume, intention, and position. Stay present, focused more on your body awareness than thinking with your brain. Hush.
Shmuel-Simcha Treister: The body grows in the shape of this shadow that acts like a sieve for the light of the Neshama to shine through to the person with each mitzvah that they do. Sinning causes the darkening of the shadow of the soul in a person by blocking the holes in this sieve. It is interesting to note that in Hebrew the word for block, “atum”, is connected with the word impure, “tamei”. Impurity is thus a spiritual concept explaining the effect of one’s deeds on their spiritual shadow. Thus a woman who has given birth is not impure in the English sense of the word. It is more that the spiritual effect of the pain of childbirth generates an effect that takes time to heal.
Anna Blake: That’s your horse connected with you in a bubble. It isn’t mystical. It’s communication.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Which of these two qualities is more important to cultivate in life —fins or scales? What ought to be the main function of education? Should we concentrate primarily on providing our children with the confidence and skills necessary for them to become productive and accomplished human beings? Or ought we to focus more intensely on raising children of high moral standing, concentrating more on how they will live rather than on how they will make a living?
Acts 10:23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The Shelah reminds us of the famous Talmudic axiom based on a verse in this week’s portion, “Make yourselves holy and you will be holy.” (Lev. 11:44) The Talmud writes that a person who tries to sanctify him or herself below, even a little, is helped to be sanctified very much more from Above – both in this world and the world to come. (Yoma 39a) “Sanctify a little from below”, refers to the relatively insignificant activities of the body. “Sanctify much more” from Above refers to the gift of eternity to the soul.
Acts 10:8 He told them everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa.
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: The tzadik, understandably enough, had not wanted all his hard work on behalf of this struggler, in speech and in prayer, to be imperiled by Reb Naftali’s impetuous tongue. And that was why, some days earlier, he had asked him to go home.
Brat: This is nuckin’ futz! Where? Go home where? The Church pushes me to the prophets. The prophets push me to the rabbis. The rabbis push me to God, but I’m camping with them in the wilderness in exile, too, and there’s no room and too much room. And Eli just swings on his star, bringing moonbeams home in a jar…
La-dee-da
Psalm 4:1 Answer me when I call, O God of my right! You gave me room when I was in distress. Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.
Acts 10:4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked.
The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.
Hebrews 10:7 Then I said, ‘See, God, I have come to do your will, O God’ (in the scroll of the book it is written of me).”
Brat: I said the words with Mary that it would be with me according to God’s word. And it has been so. God has been true to His word. And still there is no closure. It all just stays very ethereal, tied up in the words, repeatedly fulfilling God’s word, because there’s never any closure. No one is held accountable, because the ones in power can’t let it go. Have you noticed that in Eli’s story he dies and his sons die, but there is never any resolution (or restitution) to the harm they created. [1 Samuel Chapters 1-4]
Psalm 4:2 How long, you people, shall my honor suffer shame? How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies? Selah
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: When the stranger was brought in, Reb Mordechai gave him a warm, smiling welcome, and asked him why he had not called on him for so long. The visitor assured the tzadik that in future he would come more frequently, offered him gifts of his own farm produce, and took his leave.
Psalm 45:12 the people of Tyre will seek your favor with gifts, the richest of the people
Binyomin Adilman: Once, the Baal Shem Tov went to spend Shabbat in Polnoye, the hometown of his student, the “Toldot”, Rabbi Yaacov Yosef of Polnoye. The Baal Shem Tov was traveling in quite a fancy carriage and a resident of the town, a well known instigator, used the opportunity to disparage the Baal Shem Tov for what he deemed unwarranted opulence.
2 Samuel 5:11 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs and carpenters and stonemasons, and they built a palace for David.
Brat (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): I just need a stall in the barn. A bathroom that works would be lovely. And electricity with Internet access. (I’m still on assignment.)
Dana Jarvis: “You Will Be Stable in This Storm!”
Hebrews 10:9 then he added, “See, I have come to do Your will.” He abolishes the first in order to establish the second.
Henry Karlson: Pope Francis’ appeal to mercy and grace, loosening as he wills through the mercy and grace of the Spirit, has led many to contradict themselves by asserting tradition while denouncing what that tradition teaches of the church and her authority. The church is a sacrament, a vessel of mercy, bringing people across the rough winds of the sea of sin to their heavenly destination; forgetting this turns the church away from its merciful mission and into an object of scorn as it hunkers down on one spot in the ocean, afraid of the rough waters ahead. Pope Francis, with great understanding, rightfully called out what is wrong with his critics. Like Nicholas of Cusa before him, he explained in Gaudete et exsultate that it is a rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit in the church today, guiding and directing the people today by trying to hold on to the dead letter of the past:
Rabbi YY Jacobson: Historic Letter to Eli Wiesel On Auschwitz
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): Just like the Jewish people were commanded to be silent because of G-d’s command, so also the sea, the noisiest of all the creations also stopped raging and became silent.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.—Martin Niemoller
James Goll: Can Man Move God’s Heart?
Binyomin Adilman: The Baal Shem Tov however, was unmoved by his taunts. “Let me relate to you a parable”, he offered:
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Let me tell you a story.
Binyomin Adilman: A king once searched the world over for the fountain of youth – an elixir that would guarantee him immortality. A wise man came before the king and offered him a remedy. He must absolutely remove from himself any trace of arrogance, and conduct himself with utter humility. The suggestion of the wise man found favor in the king’s eyes and he immediately began its implementation.
Steve Shultz: There is no doubt that we are in a time of great change. God wants to bring us so much more than we can ask or think. AND to bring those things…often He will do a work in us first.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: There was one boy named Ling who was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly told his mother the whole story. She helped him get a pot and some planting soil, and he planted the seed and watered it carefully. Every day he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.
Charisma: Sleep
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: After about three weeks, some of the other youths began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Ling kept going home and checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, two months, three months, went by. Still nothing.
Steve Shultz: As long as anyone is living on this earth NO ONE is unreachable…after all, “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost” (Luke 19:10).
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: By now others were talking about their plants but Ling didn’t have a plant, and he felt like a failure. Six months went by, still nothing in Ling’s pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had tall plants, but he had nothing. Ling didn’t say anything to his friends; he just kept waiting for his seed to grow.
Luke 1:38 Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he wasn’t going to take an empty pot. But she encouraged him to go, to take his pot, and to be honest about what happened. Ling felt sick to his stomach, but he knew his mother was right. He took his empty pot to the palace.
Dr. Paul L. Cox (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): I confess that it is only Your shed Blood that redeems us from evil. I ask You to remove the ungodly conceptions, seeds of wickedness, unrighteous seeds, corrupted seeds, ungodly nests in high places that nurture and grow the wicked seed and all wickedness. Please do this throughout all domains, realms, spheres and dimensions in my life, including body, soul, spirit, time, space, family, workplace, birthright, ministry, career, finances and possessions.
Brat: Yes, it IS Jesus’ Blood that redeems us from evil. It is not evil to speak in parables.
Wendy Alec: “My beloved Son used to tell parables. This is My parable for My Cinderellas today. My Cinderellas are all of My sons and daughters who have felt isolated—who’s dreams have become faded memories. These are my beloved Cinderellas who have been living in ‘survival-mode’ for so long, living today in the wilderness, in seeming barrenness, using the last of their courage to survive the day—put hard to task by the enemy of their souls.”

Steve Shultz: They may look and act different than many…but that’s what makes them unique and God has need of them to come into the Kingdom so they too can go after many He is wanting to bring home!
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: What causes me to become un-kosher is not so much that I am not-kosher, as much as it is me deceiving myself and making believe that I am kosher. The greatest enemy of true religion, of any authentic relationship with G-d, is to be dishonest about my identity.
Luke 24:46 and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day,
Emily-Rose Lewis: “It is I who purifies and refines. It is I who reveals and elevates. It is I who heals and redeems. I am the One who can make the changes that you long for. Allow Me to form in you a character that is strong enough to carry the high call I have on your life. Allow Me to have full reign in your own heart. Defer to My loving ways in all relational interactions. My Word applies to you. My ways will work through you. My interest in people is to be manifested through you.

Charisma: Hungry for God?
Bracha Goetz: Let’s say I was at a party (or just home alone) and feel like eating endlessly. But then, I ask myself this liberating question: Is it my body that’s hungry or my soul?
Wendy Alec: Then the Father said, “The carriage is waiting, your ball gown is laid out, the winds of change are blowing—your tide is about to turn. Discard your mourning, survival work clothes and put on your ball gown. Wash the dust of the past season’s warfare off your feet and put on your dancing shoes.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Yet, sadly, we often observe the opposite. Some religious circles thrive on dishonesty, on people making believe they are morally “perfect,” and have no un-kosher struggles. The more you “fit in” and do not reveal your truth to anybody, the more you are accepted and the more religious you are considered, when in truth it is all a sham.
Binyomin Adilman: It wasn’t long before the king stopped riding in his royal carriage, and instead, walked behind it on foot. However, the more he took humble behavior upon himself, the more haughty he became. ‘Look at me’, he would think as he pictured himself in his mind’s eye. ‘I am a powerful King, yet see how I carry myself. No one is more humble than I!’
Brat (in “Hiding in the Bushes” 6 Apr 18): Who will take the scroll this time honestly by asking, and not by conspiracy, manipulation, or deceit? Know any Jesuits?
Isaiah 7:12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, and I will not put the LORD to the test.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: All of a sudden, the emperor spotted Ling at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered him to come to the front. Ling was terrified. “The emperor knows I’m a failure! Maybe he will have me penalized!”
Bill Yount: The Church could only see the tide going out a long way off, and could no longer experience the move of the Spirit. On the contrary, what was left was their sins, bondages and helplessness. As the Church was exposed and stood as though naked, a great mocking cry was heard from those who were back on the shore, who had never touched the water. This represented the world, and they were seeing the shame and sin, and God was being reproached. The time frame this was happening in seemed like forever to God’s people—as though they were separated from God and nothing appeared to be happening, except for failure.
Binyomin Adilman: The wise man however saw through the sham. ‘Your Majesty’, he cajoled, ‘This is not what I intended. Your Majesty should indeed be riding in the Royal carriage. But in your heart you should feel contrite and humble like the man walking behind the carriage. This kind of humility is acquired with much greater effort and sacrifice. It is however, genuine humility.”
Emily-Rose Lewis: “I would much prefer you come to Me in humility, asking that I reveal any area where I want you to come up higher, than for you to suffer any pockets of deception you are carrying in your heart about yourself and your life. In coming to Me in humility, you avoid Me having to touch your circumstance to get your attention, or having to be humbled by someone else uncovering what is in darkness. I am happy to reveal what is needed to remove the blocks directly for you.
Binyomin Adilman: The Chiddushei HaRim adds that this humility should not be false humility. There are times when a person must exhibit pride; for example in the face of someone denouncing the Torah or disparaging the Sages. Other times he must show initiative when his advice or assistance are required. At those times, if a person would insist on saying, “Who am I, and what am I to offer my advice or to get involved?”, then his humility is false.
Isaiah 7:13 Then Isaiah said: “Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary mortals, that you weary my God also?
Brat: I have my feet firmly anchored on sea and dry land and I look you in the eye, dearly esteemed rabbi, and I say to you that God did not ask for His Ark of the Covenant to be built of cedar, and neither am I asking for that.
2 Samuel 7:2 he said to Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”
Brat: My asking for a “stall in a barn” is not false humility when priests, prophets, and rabbis cannot engage directly with me for ten years. The dysfunctional silence has left my dad and me with no income to support us from my writings, even though I continue to write and pray full time in service to the Lord and work part-time at the library. I pray that your accommodations are fine and of the royal quality they deserve considering the office of your calling.
Pastor John Tolle (8 Apr 18): Are you preoccupied with your new self [Col 3:10] and your new assignment?
Brat: Yes. [Duh.]
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Better an Ugly Truth than a Beautiful Lie
Anna Blake: Then, there’s this one other thing: No one is intentionally communicating with their horse.
Quinn G. Caldwell: “The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see; they have ears, but they do not hear, and there is no breath in their mouths. Those who make them and all who trust them shall become like them.” – Psalm 135:15-17
Anna Blake: Doesn’t that seem like a glaring omission? We sit in the saddle, pontificating about this or that in our own minds. It’s like we’re talking to ourselves about our horse, behind our horse’s back, while we’re in the saddle. We might as well be folding towels.
Binyomin Adilman: The Baal Shem Tov explained this according to an idea found in the Nishmat prayer of Shabbat morning. “And all that stand before You shall bow down….” One can bow even while standing erect.
Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Quinn G. Caldwell: The Bible’s full of warnings against worshiping idols, but Psalm 135 names the scariest of all the reasons: you become like what you worship. Worshipers of statues, the psalmist says, become silent, unhearing, unseeing. By just about any definition of “idol,” my phone is one, and by just about any definition of “worship,” I am one of its most devoted worshipers. If the psalmist is right, then I am in very real danger, alone here in the bathroom, of becoming like this sleek little god in my hand: loud with nothing to say, flashy with no beauty, outraged with no action, funny with no compassion, promising with no fulfillment. Id without superego. Form without substance. All heat and no light.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Forcing yourself to be someone else in order to gain popularity, and not having the integrity to be brutally honest with yourself leaves you drained, empty and spiritually dead. There is no spirituality without full honesty.
Anna Blake: Consider building a bubble. It’s a safe place for you and your horse where breathing happens with a life-affirming regularity. It’s a place where leadership means safety and peace, where we abide in the present moment.
Acts 3:18 In this way God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, that his Messiah would suffer.
Henry Karlson: In the fifteenth century, the great theologian Cardinal Nicholas of Cusa dealt with many great ecclesiastical debates with grace and wisdom. He understood the way the Holy Spirit directed the church was not the same at every time and in every place; the Holy Spirit directed as needed, explaining how and why there were many changes in the way the church handled things throughout time. Trying to hold down and follow one way of being the church above all others obstructed the promptings of the Spirit to deal with the needs of the faithful. It is easy to look back into the past and absolutize it, but in doing so, the Spirit is lost, and so the grace which was offered in the past is also lost. In words written to the Bohemians, Nicholas of Cusa acknowledged that they were right in what they said about how rites used to be performed, but he also pointed out, they were not practices which were meant to be enforced and practiced at every time and place:
Monk: Nathan, too, was promised provision by God. (2 Sam 7)
Brat: So, are you the angel’s advocate or the devil’s advocate?
Quinn G. Caldwell: “Papa?” I hear my seven-year-old calling curiously from upstairs, where we’re supposed to be playing Legos. I had told him I’d be right back, and I meant it when I said it, but I glance at the clock on my phone and realize that that was like fifteen minutes ago. I’ve been hiding in the bathroom all this time, scrolling through Facebook. I’m hiding in the bathroom because, you see, I am a Good Parent and I know that Bad Parents stare at their screens all day, while their children watch them watching their screens, and so learn from their parents’ Bad Examples. Therefore, to set a Good Example, I hide in the bathroom to stare at my screen so my son won’t see me do it. Instead, he will simply wonder why I’ve ditched him. Because, as I said, I am a Good Parent.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: This does not mean that I must fall prey to every struggle, and surrender to every appetite. Often I must subdue my cravings to live up to my true calling and essence. I need to confront and battle my addictions and bad habits. But I must never deny who I am and what I am dealing with. I must show up to G-d with my entire self, not with a psychologically mutilated sense of existence.
Brat: I know how you feel. You pray for me and I pray for you. We’ll get through this.
Anna Blake: Recipe for a Bubble. Step two: Just converse.
Henry Karlson: Considering His love and mercy, we ought not to be so bitter, nor cruel, nor inhuman in cherishing the brethren, but to mourn with those that mourn, and to weep with them that weep, and to raise them up as much as we can by the help and comfort of our love; neither being too ungentle and pertinacious in repelling their repentance; nor, again, being too lax and easy in rashly yielding communion. Lo! A wounded brother lies stricken by the enemy in the field of battle. There the devil is striving to slay him whom he has wounded; here Christ is exhorting that he whom He has redeemed may not wholly perish. Whether of the two do we assist? On whose side do we stand? Whether do we favour the devil, that he may destroy, and pass by our prostrate lifeless brother, as in the Gospel did the priest and Levite; or rather, as priests of God and Christ, do we imitate what Christ both taught and did, and snatch the wounded man from the jaws of the enemy, that we may preserve him cured for God the judge?
Anna Blake: Close the gate to the arena or pen. Please, use a mounting block; your horse’s withers don’t like lateral pressure. Stand for a moment, take a deep breath, and look at his eye. Is it tense? Dead? Worried? Listen to his calming signals. When he’s ready, swing your leg over in one even movement. Breathe, settle, and soften. Pause to feel your sit bones in the saddle, let your horse feel a softness in your legs, shoulders. Keep equal weight in each foot, level shoulders aligned with pelvic bones, ribs easy and inflated and your lower back relaxed. Let him hear you exhale. Feel his ribs move as he inhales. The conversation has begun.
Binyomin Adilman: The cedar wood was needed to teach the so-called “leper” the proper way of humility, a genuine correction of his arrogance. Humility and submission do not require that the body be bent over in the process. Of paramount importance is inner humility and acceptance.
Acts 10:7 When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.
Rob Radosti: I am raising up those who will be the most hardcore miracle workers that the earth has seen! There will be no fear in them.”
Anna Blake: Breathe and ask him to walk on. Leave his head alone, long rein. Let him pick the path. The gate’s closed, remember? Experience the movement of your horse as his energy moves through your body. Follow his rhythm. Feel your own movement, sit bones release one at a time, legs follow the sway of his ribs. Take the walk your horse offers and say, Good Boy. No corrections, no hands in his mouth. Find your balance in your seat, the weight of your feet in the stirrups. How does it feel? No words, just feel. That strange thing is your awareness. It could use some exercise. We’ll need it to build our bubble.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: I once read a poem, entitled “the man in the glass:”
When you get what you want in your struggle for self and the world makes you king for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself and see what that man has to say.
For it isn’t your father or mother or wife whose judgment upon you must pass,
the fellow whose verdict counts most in your life is the one staring back from the glass.
He’s the fellow to please – never mind all the rest. For he’s with you clear to the end.
And you’ve past your most difficult test, if the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years, and get pats on the back as you pass;
But your final reward will be heartache and tears if you’ve cheated the man in the glass.
Acts 3:12 When Peter saw it, he addressed the people, “You Israelites, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we had made him walk?
Anna Blake: If you’re nervous or bored or over-thinking (and of course you are), count your breath. Match your horse’s rhythm and inhale 1-2-3, pause, and exhale, 1-2-3 pause. Repeat. Breath is the antidote to your mind running like a rat on a wheel. Better than that, it’s the language of horses. Have you stopped breathing? See how easily you’re distracted? Smile and start counting again. Count your breath for five minutes. Finally, a good use for that wristwatch. It’ll feel like forever. Impatient? You’re not breathing.
Brat: The rabbis just spent the week counting the Omer again.
Yehoshua Metzinger: From the time of Pesach, or the Exodus, we must count the Omer in order to reveal G dliness in the world and to refine ourselves to the extent that we can receive the Torah properly on Shavuot.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: On the other hand, the Talmud tells us that all fish with scales have fins. If you teach your children to approach life with truth and honesty, with an unyielding commitment to morality and decency, this child will certainly succeed and develop “fins” as well. Regardless of his or her degree of intellectual prowess, they will find the “fins” with which to advance in their learning and their achievements to make the world a more beautiful place.
Acts 3:17 “And now, friends, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
Henry Karlson: Do we let the devil destroy the fallen in our cruel determination to hold on to the letter that kills or will we embrace gracious mercy of Christ which truly lifts up the sinner and welcomes them back with love? Pope Francis tells us Christ’s answer. Will we listen?
Psalm 4:3 But know that the LORD has set apart the faithful for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him.
Dr. Paul L. Cox (echo): Reestablish godly boundaries between righteousness and holiness and align these to You.
Psalm 4:6 There are many who say, “O that we might see some good! Let the light of your face shine on us, O LORD!”
Brat (five years ago in “Confer a Kingdom To Kim Clement” 18 March 2013):
I asked the Holy Spirit how I may “strengthen my brothers.” The Spirit directed me back to my log to November 2012. At the time I had been researching the Catholic Office of the Devil’s Advocate. My key question was: Would they advocate for the devil or for the angel? It turns out neither. The Roman Catholic Church abolished the Office when Pope John Paul II revised canonization procedures in 1979.

Brat: I still love you and am still asking for help on behalf of Jesus, my Lord and King. His greatness does not lessen yours. He lifts you up. (He IS resurrected, after all!) WE NEED YOU!
Anna Blake: This is you riding the inside of your horse. You’re riding him with the inside of your body. Allow yourself to be lifted and carried. Say thank you in every exhale. Feels great, doesn’t it?
1 John 3:3 And all who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.
Dana Jarvis: One active step of faith can unlock the breakthrough not only for you but for others. As you sow into this powerful ministry of Spirit Fuel, you are not only sowing into good ground, but helping them reach countless others for Christ. A love offering of $25, $50 or even $300 can help them extend their reach even further for the hungry souls in need of God’s word. You are partnering in this life giving harvest. Just one active step of faith and obedience changes everything! For every love offering given, a decree of double we proclaim over you in Jesus mighty name. Spirit Fuel is thankful for each of you!
Brat: God’s mandate to me is 1) worship God and 2) share the journey. What does sanctuary have to do this? I’m still seeking sanctuary! The Church used to offer that. In that (dead?) letter which I sent to Pope Francis in 2014, I closed it with: “I stand ready and anchored awaiting your response.”
Rabbi Yerachmiel Tilles: …his daughter’s suffering was a result of the rich man’s evil plan…
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: An hour later, with the sun about to rise and the meeting drawing to a close, Avner asked, “So has the Rebbe lit my candle?”
“No,” answered the Rebbe quietly. “I have given you the match. Only you can light your own candle.”
Think situational awareness. No escalating, just feel and stay present. Do you fidget? Are your shoulders still up by your ears? Could you hold an egg under your knee? Do you fiddle with the reins? Still counting? Okay, start again.
Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Because when a crime is happening in front of your eyes, your silence is deafening.
Henry Karlson [echo]: “…Pope Francis tells us Christ’s answer. Will we listen?”
Michael Van Vlymen: “But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.” (Daniel 2:30 ESV)

Jennifer Brownell The psalm, though, suggests neither seething repression nor impetuous confrontation. Instead, the psalm suggests that everyone take a moment. Breathe. Ponder. Take a big selah.
Brat: So, after ten years of nothing, I gather the same will continue? The silence speaks louder than words.

Mary Luti: “After his suffering, Jesus… appeared to them during forty days, speaking to them about the kingdom of God.” – Acts 1:2-3
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Only after the splitting of the sea and the drowning of the Egyptians seven days after they left Egypt, was the exodus and the redemption from slavery complete. This is why the final holiday of Pesach, the seventh day of Pesach (and outside of Israel, also the eighth day) symbolizes the complete redemption in all its different aspects. First, being freed as a nation from the slavery of the Egyptians, 3,300 plus years ago. Second, the potential for each Jewish person to be freed now from their own personal limitations. Finally, the future freedom of the Jewish people from this last and longest exile with the coming of the Mashiach, may it be quickly.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Please plant Your righteous seeds, establish Your righteousness and rightly align all domains, realms, spheres and dimensions in my life including body, soul, spirit, time, space, family, workplace, birthright, ministry, career, finances, and possessions to You and Your throne.
Brat (in “Doors” 3 Apr 18): After ten years, I am still parking and praying for the reconciliation of the Churches. My car is my “sanctuary” where I pray, and my “sanctuary” now needs sanctuary! I receive no income for my writings. The Church used to support her holy hermits and monastics.
Anna Blake: It isn’t convenient for our agenda. We want them to think what we think. We want cotton in their ears, blinders for their eyes, and the loyalty of a Labrador. We want blind trust from horses who know we are blind, comparatively.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Tzadikim are the completely righteous people whose job is to teach us and be an example for the rest of us how to see and experience G-d in the world, There is a story of a tzadik, who once saw his son hiding behind a bush and crying. The father asked him “Why are you crying?” The little boy answered, “My friends and I were playing a game of hide and seek but no one came to search for me!” The father heard this, sighed deeply and said, “G-d also says the same thing. And cries.”
Brat (in “Prodigal Prayer” 4 Apr 18): The Mother Church is praying novenas of Mercy for the prodigal sons to come back to her pews, but she’s too busy to recognize Mercy when it shows up at her own door, and sends back an autoresponder message.
Donna Schaper: Remove the Pews for Easter’s Beauty?
Mary Luti: Even suffused with eternal light, one foot in heaven, it’s all he can think to tell them. For forty days and forever: the kingdom of God.
Pastor John Tolle (8 Apr 18): Are you preoccupied with your new self [Col 3:10] and your new assignment?
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Release Your treasures of wisdom and understanding that are stuck in any spiritual realms.
Israel 365: Divine Protection ✡ A Pillar Of Cloud Shifted From In Front Of Them And Took Up A Place Behind Them”
Anna Blake: Let your horse take you for a walk. Let the lead rope be slack, stand behind his drive line or girth area, and let him lead. It’s easy to say we put our horses first but let him literally be there. Follow him into the present. This is where the bubble can exist.
Kenneth L. Samuel: It’s like the freshness of morning dew nestled upon a mountain peak. It’s like the freshness of politicians who place the principles of democracy above party loyalty. It’s like the freshness of inter-faith dialogue and interracial reconciliation. It’s like the freshness of a global commitment to a clean, sustainable environment.
Dr. Paul L. Cox (8 Apr 18): “A Prayer of Righteousness to Help Bring Healing and Wholeness”
Anna Blake: Rest in awareness, in the calm recognition that the world is just fine. That your horse will help you stay present. Clear your mind, be true to your intention. Use your senses. Don’t think you know what he always does, notice who he is today. Be fresh. Do you listen to him or an inside dialog of your own? Can you perceive without judgment? Now notice the difference between what he actually thinks and what you’d like him to think.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The splitting of the sea was not only about the sea. Within every Jewish person there was also a split. Inside they were consumed with worry about the Egyptians chasing them but outside they completely followed G-d’s will, with the power of their faith. We see it in what Moshe said (14:14) “Stand still” (meaning they should stop running away, turn around and watch their enemies being destroyed) “…and see G-d’s salvation…and you will be silent.”
Dr. Paul L. Cox: I declare that the waters will part so that I may go over onto dry ground, and when I reach the other side of the bridge of time, the waters close over and destroy my enemies. Thank You that I am coming into my inheritance.
Kenneth L. Samuel: When we cause the things that divide us to be superseded by the mandates of our common survival and our interdependent advancement, we bring upon ourselves the freshness of new life.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Let Your righteousness displace the ungodly governance.
The Chase
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: What is the importance of the final festival days of Pesach? When the Jewish people left Egypt, they were in flight mode. The threat that the Egyptians would chase them was very real.
Anna Blake: His thought balloon: (hard pavement. head pull, loose gravel. fast car. smell dog-coyotes. she’s distracted. breeze picking up. horses in the pasture on right. head pull. pavement. no dog-coyotes close. she’s distracted. she kicks. pulls and kicks. need a breath. pulls head, she can’t tell she pulls. ignore it. loose gravel. horses coming to share breath. car too close)
Human: Did that man in that car slow down and stare at me? Eeouww.
Mary Luti: Nothing New
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: One minute the Torah records them as complaining to Moshe (Exodus 14:11) “Are there no graves in Egypt that you have taken us out to die in the wilderness (at the hands of Pharaoh’s army)”. Almost immediately after this they were transformed and declared “This is my G-d and I will praise him”.
Brat prayer (in “Transcendent Influence” 4 Apr 18): Israel was commanded not to return to Egypt, and I am believing that this is true, so that You can apply the Messiah’s anointing through the body of Your people, Israel, as they are Your redemption, Jesus.
Zechariah 4: 11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please cleanse the foundations, removing the defilement of the Holy Place and cleansing it. Holy Spirit, please pour out fresh oil, realign the lampstand, and restore the Lord’s anointing flow. Please bring true counsel, true might, true understanding to me in the realm of the spirit, closing the ungodly windows and opening the godly ones. Please remove all ungodly self-absorption and narcissism, and help me to rightly see my circumstances and to see You.
Anna Blake (in “Doors” 3 Apr 18): Should your horse totally focus on you?
Not fair to ask. First, as flight animals, they must always be aware of their surroundings. Instinct does tell them it’s life or death. There are brief exceptions; if you can manage to keep your horse more frightened of you than the natural world through intimidation, then they will focus on you. But not in a good way.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: That’s the way slavery, oppression, and all other forms of degradation function. If you throw a person into a terrible, degrading experience suddenly they are going to fight it. But if it is slowly incorporated into them, and it becomes a habit, then their natural instinct to rebel is dulled.
Anna Blake: A huge part of the problem we have around horses is a lack of awareness of our own physical reality.
Kris Vallotton: If You Go To Church To Be Ministered To Tomorrow, You’re Missing The Point
Anna Blake: So, your horse starts fidgeting. Right about now, you notice what you aren’t noticing. That’s good. This is learning how easy it is to lose focus at the first bright-shiny-thing. How can you be a partner in the saddle when it’s this easy to lose focus? And fear isn’t even a factor!
Steve Shultz: This is a powerful prayer of “righteousness” that Paul and his team put together…and let me just say it goes deep! We’ve posted words lately of God healing and cleansing His Church Body…and this prayer will really help us.
The Divine Wedgie (in “Transcendent Influence” 4 Apr 18): The Anglican theologian Graham Ward reminded us in his Cities of God that the internet is unique in its institutionalisation of aggressive desire.
Any communication that remains in its vortex of anonymity, Ward argues, mutates into what Augustine calls the “lust for domination”, that is the desire to win plain and simple, by any means possible, ethical or otherwise.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord of Hosts, please release Your armies to dismantle and burn all the root systems of false governance; including control and manipulation through wickedness and through the fantasies of the people of God. Please remove the false governance of institutionalism in the heart of religion that has produced spiritual wickedness and prevented me from breakthrough and from healing.
Anna Blake: We must remind ourselves a horse’s senses are better than ours every minute. While we’re busy daydreaming, or planning our day, or thinking we’re training them something they probably know already, horses are busy being aware of their environment. They are flight animals every moment. Survival depends on it, even in an arena.
Brat: And we’ve been going through ten YEARS of dysfunctional silence. I’d give you a tired “Oy Vey!” but I haven’t got any strength left.
Anna Blake: His thought balloon: (she’s gone. she abandoned me. go to the herd. need to eat.)
St Faustina Novena: Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: “Please release all treasures of wisdom and understanding that are stuck in this realm, and destroy all ungodly hidden windows and doors of darkness so that the enemy can be plundered.”
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The main miracle of the splitting of the sea was that the Jewish people merited to be redeemed because of their own efforts. They were freed from Egypt because G-d had promised our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that He would redeem their children. But it was G-d’s will that there would be a second redemption at the splitting of the sea in the merit of the Jewish people’s newly learned faith in G-d.
Anna Blake: We’ll build the bubble by pretending to be horses. If you want your horse’s attention, you might have some work to earn it.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Prayer of Removing False Grace
David Lebo: Make a Loud Noise!
Anna Blake: Some of us have been taught that if they cue him loud enough, it will drown out everything else. It’s like teaching a horse to trust that we’ll make a bad situation worse. Adversity always makes everything worse.
Kenneth L. Samuel: Our ears know the difference between harmony and cacophony. In harmony we hear a unity of sound, caused by an arrangement of musical notes that complement and complete each other. Cacophony is an assault upon the ear, caused by musical notes that clash and compete with each other, creating a dissonance of sound.
Brat (in “Transcendent Influence” 4 Apr 18): I SAID MY “SANCTUARY” NEEDS SANCTUARY! I don’t need to have an autoresponder slammed in my face to get the uncaring message blasted for their FAQ to my questions. I don’t need to be preached at. I’m not looking to escape reality. I’m not hogging the fur coat to myself while I expect others to light the fires. I’m not looking for another cross to throw myself upon (just to get another martyrdom sermon, doncha’ know?) I’m not looking to prove how like Mary I am in submission. I’m not even denying that there’s a Judas in me, as well as all the other cast of characters of the Passion drama. I took the cup that Jesus offered and remembered. I’m not out conquering spooks and devils right now, although my guard is always up. I send out a mayday to God’s frozen chosen who are ‘dependent on the goodwill of the Pharaohs’ [Ascent of Safed], but whoever said that being a Christian is easy?
Steve Shultz: Even in our Christian walk…we all could use deliverance from time to time…which includes things generationally and from our past, and things we are currently struggling with.
Brat: I’m even beyond looking at reconciliation in the Via Media, …
[Stage Whisper: the Middle Way]
…through Logic, Prayer, and Tradition. None of it seems to apply anyway, I guess, in my case, when the message is ignored. It’s so down the middle it’s stuck in the Grand Canyon river bottom, which Lazarus cannot reach and Abraham won’t allow it. (Luke 16) It cannot penetrate the bureaucratic mechanisms. There’s no sense to knock into, so how can I knock some sense into it?! Evidently after ten years of trying to forge relationships with religious who claim they aren’t, not one understands my love language of letters!
Lara Trump: Can we text?
Cindy Jacobs: Many of you feel like you have so many dreams, but they’re stuck. But the Lord would say, “I am in a season where I’m bringing suddenlies to pass. I’m in a season of acceleration.”
Mary Luti: Forty days. The risen Jesus could’ve used that time to tell his disciples what it was like being entombed in airless rocks, or with what divine mechanism the angels rolled away the stone, or how he felt when he saw Mary in the garden alone.
Brat: This is nuckin’ futz! Are you saying I have to wait forty more days after ten years? Just for a letter of recommendation?
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Establish me back into Your right time and bring forth all those parts, including those that were lost in time, that have been stuck in time and wicked dimensions. Cleanse my parts by Your Blood and place them where they were originally meant to be in my life, establishing right standing in my inheritance.
St Faustina Novena: Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love, let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Please burn the soil and all conceptions of spiritual wickedness in high places as well as ungodly structures. Please burn it all within the consuming fire of I AM, so that Your original intent can be fulfilled. Please burn to the very center so the roots of ungodly soil and all ungodly equations can be destroyed in the realms of darkness. Cause Your light and fire to consume it all. Please remove me from the ungodly realm of the false I Am.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This is what Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl taught. As the Besht (the Ba’al Shem Tov) said, each Jewish person must open the channel to the part of the level of the Moshiach that is connected to his (or her) soul. The three Hebrew letters of the word for man – אדם – stand for Adam, the first man, King David and Moshiach –אדם,דוד,משיח.
Brat (in “Transcendent Influence” 4 Apr 18): Is not Israel here on our doorstep to redeem them?
Eliyahu Touger: Moreover, as is well known, Mashiach will teach people the Torah using the medium of sight, a manner of instruction that transcends ordinary comprehension. Nevertheless, the influence which he will convey as a king is so lofty that it cannot even be revealed through the transcendent influence of sight. And yet, because Mashiach will also serve as a king, he will reveal even these matters to the Jewish people. Their revelation, however, will be in an encompassing matter.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: I repent for walking in the counsel of the ungodly. Please remove all ungodly entities and agreements that take counsel together against You, Your anointed and me. Please destroy all books and records of ungodly wars, and establish Your righteous counsel in all realms, domains, dimensions, spheres, grids and kingdoms.
Brat (in “Roto Rooter” 8 Apr 18): Lord, we are having spiritual plumbing issues! We need Your Holy Spirit to do a roto rooter on us. You promised to open the books, not destroy them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Brat: If the books of the wars are destroyed, then we will have nothing to pass along to the next generation. Who will learn from our hell?
Mary Luti: For forty days and forever, would that it were all we too could think to tell the world.
Brat: And the Book of Philemon in the New Testament works as a blueprint in how to recommend your pony to the herd. The shaming silence is my hell. But there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus! Oh, but even if I got a letter, then I have no one to share it with, because of the dysfunctional silence wall and autoresponders. That’s not a healthy relationship. What’s a girl to do?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: G-d is hiding from us. This is the foundation principle of the world. This is why in Hebrew “world” is called, “olam”, meaning hidden. But what G-d really wants is that we should search and find Him.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please close all the ungodly windows of darkness, deep darkness and outer darkness throughout all domains, dominions, kingdoms and all other dark places. Please destroy the ungodly hidden temple, which is the dwelling place of the false I Am, as well as the deep covenants of darkness that were intended to raise the sons of darkness. Also, destroy the ungodly layers of the heart and all libraries within them, which were formed because of specific covenants that were made to raise up the sons of darkness.
Genesis 22:13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
Brat: Jesus, You said You would raise the Sons of Nineveh! (Mt 12:41)
Mary Luti: Prayer
Speak to me that I may speak, good Jesus. The old word, the new word—God’s own realm. For forty days and forever. Amen.
St Faustina Novena: “Today bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: ‘Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.’ For them, the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy.”
Ships passing in the night
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: How can we understand what the verse says (Psalms 66:6), that the sea turned into dry land? What is sea and what is dry land on a spiritual level and how are they connected? The Talmud (Chulin 127a) teaches, “Everything that there is on land, you have in the sea.” The denizens of the sea, are totally dependent on the sea. As soon as they separate from water they die. The sea covers them completely. This is not the case with land creatures. They appear to have their own existence, apparently separate from their life force.
Foursquare Church (6 Apr 18): How we hinder the Holy Spirit
Brat (5 Apr 18): Lord, You said to show mercy. UCC.org has visited me daily in my inbox for years. But we are as ships passing in the night. Today I mourn the loss of my friends in the hour of their death. We stand far off and cry and throw dust on our heads, for in one hour she is made desolate. (Rev 18:19) She did say before her passing, “Remember me.”

Anna Blake: Notice what’s going on around you. Look at the small things in the big view. Use your peripheral vision. What do you smell; is there a breeze? Close your eyes. Is the ground level? Notice. Do you feel anxiety? Breathe. Open your eyes, you’re fine.
Brat: The second death has no power over us. (Rev 20:6)
Wanda Alger: Stay in tune with the Holy Spirit for there is a specific combination for every heart and every city that will ultimately unlock this next move of the Holy Spirit! Step back to see the bigger picture. Look for the alignment. It’s very close…perhaps only one more click away!
Cindy Jacobs: The Lord would say to you, “Trust me in that, for if you will begin to dream again, and if you would begin one by one by one, to decree: My provision is coming, my dream is coming, and the money I need for my capital for my business is coming.”
Jamila Jordan Moody: I cannot remember much about the message but I do remember hearing the woman of GOD teaching the message saying this, “sow something.” So that night during the message I sowed what I had which was $4.26.
Kenneth L. Samuel: Each of us plays an instrument on the sound track of life. Our refrain across the centuries has not been harmonious. Our clashing and competition have reverberated through our history in the discordant notes of violent confrontation, religious rivalry and governmental gridlock.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Separate the good seed from the bad seed and the wheat from the tares.
Anna Blake: Does he stop to graze? Is it possible that the grazing is a calming signal, not a disobedience? Does your presence distract him? Just notice.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please release the armies of Heaven to disconnect me from the ungodly host, and break all ties to him. I renounce all ungodly generational dedications, sacrifices, wickedness and trading that has empowered this evil. Please release all treasures of wisdom and understanding that are stuck in this realm, and destroy all ungodly hidden windows and doors of darkness so that the enemy can be plundered.
Donald J. Trump: “Alone”
Amanda Shiflett (in “Doors” 3 Apr 18): We must not become lone islands to ourself, but we must realize that we all bring a part, and if we will lay down our pride and join together for certain assignments for our regions and nations, we will see much accomplished and His Kingdom advanced in amazing ways in the days to come!
Brat (2 Apr 18): I don’t think he works alone. Another clue that Pastor John Tolle works with (coordinates with) the Elijah List and Spirit Fuel is that on the Easter Table at the back of the church yesterday he laid out a book by Sid Roth for the curious to take. Do you know how ironic and near-absurd that is for an Evangelical hardliner who staunchly preaches “No Woo Woo!” to have the mystic promoted? God is logical. The Elijah List promotes Sid Roth all the time. “It’s Supernatural!” What is Pastor John up to?
Monk: Odd. Very odd.
Pastor John Tolle: “Hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches!”
Anna Blake: He absolutely listened to you.
Sid Roth: Praying From the Heavenly Realms
St Faustina Novena: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
“Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ESPECIALLY VENERATE AND GLORIFY MY MERCY, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my Passion and entered most deeply into My spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death.”
Bruce Cook: For decades, the Church and many theologians have been asking and teaching a one-dimensional question: Are you rapture ready? The result has been a Church that, to a large extent in modern times, has viewed and focused on Heaven as something exclusively reserved for the future and not available to us in the present as well. Fortunately, that attitude and mindset has begun to change in recent years, in part through the writings and videos of Rick Joyner, Bill Johnson, Lance Wallnau, Johnny Enlow, Kathie Walters, Kat Kerr, Shawn Bolz and many others, and media ministries such as those of Patricia King, Steve Shultz, Steve Strang and Sid Roth.
Anna Blake: People frequently say that their horse just came apart for no good reason. It isn’t true. Their horse came apart for a long list of good reasons that the rider either didn’t sense or decided to ignore. When we think they’re distracted, the truth is that we’re finally noticing something they have been following. Humans, having senses that are so much less acute than horses, are perpetually behind. It’s like we are forever coming into the movie halfway through yet pretending we know how it ends. Because we’re leaders.
Patheos: Disney Princesses and The Moral Discipleship of Children
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please remove all (generational and lifetime) false and cheap grace, which is really lawlessness linked to an anti-Christ spirit. I understand that this false grace has resulted in an ungodly connection with the imposter.
Jamila Jordan Moody: This message at first struck me as peculiar and unusual. However, as revelation began to pour forth, understanding of its relevance came as well. Not only is it relevant to the Body of CHRIST in this hour but this WORD carries breakthrough, power and freedom for the many walking under the shadow of shame unawares. They don’t realize it is a spirit of shame bearing down upon them when they desire to give. But God is breaking the two-mites shame so I pray you receive your healing right now in JESUS name.
Anna Blake: Say thank you, it’s been a good start on the bubble. Head back to the barn. Strolling along, maybe someone calls you from the house. Or maybe you board your horse and you run into a friend on the way to his pen. So you stop and talk. And talk some more. You gesture with the hand holding the lead rope. You talk. Blah, blah, blah.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please remove all false pathways connected to false grace. On behalf of my ancestors and myself, I repent for ungodly generational dedications, blood sacrifices and other sacrifices to the enemy – including the ungodly sons of God. I repent for wickedness, participation in conspiracies and agreements in high places, and trading of identities and birthrights with the enemy and the ungodly sons of God.
Wanda Alger: Do not be anxious about not seeing the full manifestation of the breakthrough, yet! God is pleased with every act of obedience for it brings one more number into alignment.
Anna Blake: Does talking to others teach horses to not listen to us, as we abandon them in favor of human conversation? How about putting your horse first? Value your shared work by making him the priority. Put him up, releasing him with gratitude. You have the rest of the day to overthink and chatter on.
Revelation 2: 7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right [!] to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This is why at the splitting of the sea the Jewish people truly became a free people. Because they listened to G-d instead of to the Pharaoh within themselves. Acting on their faith with self-sacrifice made the sea split. Just as they changed their own nature, so G-d made nature change for them. This is the lesson of the seventh day of Pesach.
St Faustina Novena: Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.
Brat: I realize that Pope Francis said there is no Purgatory, but we are living stones in this hell vividly described in the Book of Revelation.
WATCH: The Lance Wallnau Show: Vatican Debates “If Hell Is Fake.”
Brat: You can debate until we are all blue in the face. You can (and maybe have?) told me to “go to hell.” But we’re already here! Why else would Jesus have prayed for His Kingdom to come here to earth but to invade what hell took over?
Kenneth L. Samuel: Prayer
Lord, give me a fresh resolve to make the chords of harmony less infrequent in my life. Amen.
Anna Blake: Do you think you should be training something? Good. Start with yourself.
Cindy Jacobs: The Lord says, “You must understand that there are powers of darkness in the Heavens that do not want your blessings to come. So, begin to decree. Get up in the throne room, and speak the decrees, and you will begin to see things shaken loose. You will begin to see the change has come, and you will begin to see the blessings flow,” says the Lord.
Mary Luti: He could’ve imparted all kinds of goose-bumpy new things, revelations and secrets from beyond the grave.
Anna Blake: His thought balloon: (her tense seat. hard pull. feel confused. she’s distracted. need to balance. good, horses trotting now. kicks. welcome, herd. she’s not breathing. yay, herd. she flinched. jerked. ouch. metal on bone. no escape. ouch. can’t move. must move. no air, can’t please her. jerked harder. dog-coyotes. held hard, pain. wind. can’t breathe. must breathe.)
Dr. Paul L. Cox: I confess that it is only Your shed Blood that redeems us from evil.
Hell to pay
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Send Your chariots to gather from the remotest parts of the Heaven all that were scattered and bring back truth as the balance.
Brat: Truth MUST (yay, MUST, I say!) be balanced with Mercy!
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please cause Your grace to work with Your mercy, for I understand that Your compassion and mercies endure forever. Please bring me into Your realms of mercy and grace, so I can experience the totality of Your mercy and true grace.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Just like the Jewish people stood still because of G-d’s command so also the sea stood still, making two walls as if of inanimate stone.
Brat (in “Transcendent Influence” 4 Apr 18): Lord, if anyone asks You for the gift of Mercy, tell them to run far away. Be afraid! Be very afraid! The more mercy that’s needed, the more hell there is to pay for it. You want living stones in Your temple? You gottem!
Monk: See Revelation 21
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Lord, please write on my stony heart so that it becomes flesh, and reestablish and align everything in my life to You. Please break off all things that the enemy uses to try to follow me. I pray that my mind will be stayed on You and on Your Word, and that I will set my mind only on things above.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Now a step deeper.
Brat: Know any Jesuits?
Anna Blake: Recipe for a Bubble. Step one: Just notice.
Lana Vawser: “I AM REPAYING INJUSTICES!”
Anna Blake: Instead of looking at him, look out from him. Stand out of his space, quiet your mind. Breathe. No corrections, no opinions, notice his breath. Match it. Notice what he looks at. Breathe with him. Hold your tongue. Notice the world through his eyes. Let that be enough.
Cindy Jacobs: So, don’t be discouraged, but understand, as you begin to decree from the Heavens down, so it shall be.
Wanda Alger: Many are praying for breakthroughs, not only personally but corporately. Believers have been praying, fasting, repenting, and preparing the way of The Lord. There is an increased hunger and longing for His manifested glory to be revealed in our churches and cities.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: I declare that You have won the victory through all the ages and dimensions, and have raised up Your Church, which is Your Body, to rule and reign with You and in You. Wisdom and counsel and might are ours in the dominion that You’ve granted through Your resurrection. Your Body is one and we reign with You.
John-Paul & Annie: Today, we want to pray for something that can be difficult. We want to pray that we have mercy on others. We want us to pray that we will never hold a grudge or refuse forgiveness.
Wanda Alger: Yet, it will not be just one factor that will make the difference, but a combination of several. Before He can come in fullness, there are things He has been bringing into alignment. He is working on relationships getting in order. He is looking beyond repentance and is teaching us how to walk and live by the Spirit. He is drawing us together as the Church. There is also a tipping point coming through seasons of perseverance and faithfulness to His Word.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Reestablish godly boundaries between righteousness and holiness and align these to You.
Brat: You talk about conspiracies. Do you think I was joking when I brought up the Jesuits? They have tools, resources, and manpower to get to the bottom of this tangled web we weave? I believe God has set them aside (consecrated) them for a purpose and deliberately NOT included them in our collective story all these years, so that they could be impartial witnesses. The Two Witnesses on this stage are hardly impartial!
Ryan LeStrange: SYNERGIZE (UPDATE) – When the Ox and Eagle Anointings Collide
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Rightly divide the parts, inheritances and birthrights of commingled seed (good from bad) in my life and reestablish the godly boundaries.
Steve Shultz: Be encouraged that God LOVES to bring us to FREEDOM…so we can serve Him well.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: However, at the time of the splitting of the sea, “the sea turned into dry land”. The revealed G-dliness of “sea consciousness” was drawn into and revealed on the land.
Mary Luti: He could’ve explained to them the odd physics of walking through walls, divulged where he got the fish he fried for them on the beach, helped them understand why a glorious body still bore awful wounds.
Brat (in “The Dinner” 26 Mar 18): What is this? How could I not have noticed this before? He still had the nail holes through his feet caused by the soldiers who’d hung him on the cross. MY GOD!
He had died and now he was sitting at our table?! I had heard the stories, but who knew?
All I could do was weep. “My LORD!” I silently sobbed. Tears of worship, awe, gratitude, and horror all tumbled out of my eyes. I could not stop them. They flowed and flowed. They dripped off the end of my nose and washed the sand and mud from his feet. Some tears even went into the holes. I choked and gasped.
I realized that I’d ended up making more of a mess, so I took out my hairband from my ponytail and let the long, golden locks become a towel. I couldn’t exactly ask Martha for one. I was still crying and praying, “My LORD!” I could barely do more than croak like a weak frog.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The miracles and revolutions of the seventh day of Pesach can be experienced by each of us when we pay more attention to the “sea” part, the inner part of ourselves, and turn our faith from something dormant to something active in our lives. Every time we act on our hidden strengths we create a transformation not only in ourselves but in the whole world around us. This effort changes everything and brings our personal redemption and redemption for the world too.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Birth my identity in Your heart and make all things new.
John-Paul & Annie: We need God’s mercy so much! Let’s pray that we can be like Jesus in being exceedingly generous with the mercy that we show to others.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Bring me to the center of the Cross, which is the center of all righteousness.
Anna Blake: I’m not proud of my 14-year-old self in this ride, but I’m still responsible for causing him to bolt. I punished him for my fear.
Mary Luti: But no. Here he is, a new creation fresh from God’s morning, yet not a single new topic comes out of his mouth. He’s still talking about what he talked about pre-crucifixion at the lakeshore, on the mount, in the temple precincts, at Capernaum, on the road to everywhere.
Anna Blake: But you can create a bubble, a safe place for you and your horse where breathing happens with a life-affirming regularity. It’s a place where leadership means safety and peace, where we both abide in the present moment.
Brat (in “Good Friday” 30 Mar 18): I heard the tone of humility and I heard the Arc Speak to my journals and “The Dinner” that I had posted on my blog.
I still don’t see any opening for reconciliation.
Lord, You reconcile us to Yourself by Your sacrifice on the cross. How does this translate to reconciliation of Your Churches? How does this hold anyone accountable?
Kenneth L. Samuel: But every so often, persons with different instruments, from different sections, who read from different scores, find a way out of hostility into harmony. Every now and then, people are moved to look beyond the notes of their myopic life concerns and notice the broader orchestration of life itself. Once in a while, the muse that inspires cohesion in the midst of our deepest complexities, wins the day.
Dr. Paul L. Cox: Please remove wickedness from the centrality of all things, and destroy the seats of the antichrist that prevent me from entering into the rest of the Lord. Establish righteousness and justice as the foundation in all these areas so that Jesus Christ may be enthroned there and be the Precious Cornerstone, the Sure Foundation, and the Capstone of my life.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Now we can understand. Just as the creatures of the sea are dependent on their physical environment, so it is with every creation. Each being is in fact completely dependent on its spiritual life-force. In order to allow us to have an independent consciousness, G-d hid himself from His creations. This is the inner meaning of the verse (Yirmiyahu 5:22) “(Says G-d), I put sand as a boundary limit to the sea”. Sand, or really the whole relationship of land to the sea, or in the broader sense all of physical world, is a place where spirituality is limited. This is the distance we experience from the divine light, from G-dliness.
Anna Blake: Start now. Learn to love your horse’s awareness. Accept this fundamental truth and instead of fighting it, find a way to partner with it. Recognize their intellect; people always tell me that their horse is really smart, as if it’s a special gift. All horses are that smart, we need to catch up.
Brat: I just need a stall in the barn. A bathroom that works would be lovely. And electricity with Internet access. (I’m still on assignment.)
St Faustina Novena: Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded: Manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion.
Monk: Got sanctuary?
Neck and Neck
Yanki Tauber: What, then, is the Jew to do when caught between a hostile world and an unyielding sea? “Speak to the children of Israel,” said G-d to Moses, “that they shall go forward” [Ex 14:15].
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Then, on G-d’s command, they went forward. The sea did not split until the Jewish people went into the water up to their necks. This was the main miracle that because of G-d’s command, they went against their own nature. This is what it means in Psalms 114:3, “The sea saw and fled.” The sea saw the Jewish people going into the water because of G-d’s command to move on, their total self-sacrifice for G-d, and because of this, it split for them.
Brat: Speaking of necks, the same thing happened with us, Christians. Jesus changed water into wine and the grapes were trampled outside the City and the spiritual blood flowed rising as high as the horse’s bridle around their necks. We went against our own nature.
Revelation 14:20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.
St Faustina Novena: “Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice.”
Mary Luti: “He spoke to them of kingdom of God,” of debts cleared by mercy, small things of infinite worth, mighty things reduced to dust, broken bread instead of broken bodies, tiny sparrows, counted hairs, banished demons, truth declared to tyrants, put-away swords, found sheep, found coins, found children, a hidden way inside, a buried pearl, living water, branches and vine.
Cindy Jacobs: The Lord says, “…so, begin to decree. Get up in the throne room, and speak the decrees, and you will begin to see things shaken loose. You will begin to see the change has come, and you will begin to see the blessings flow…”
Jamila Jordan Moody: I once suffered from shame over my giving due to various experiences in my past, but I began to receive healing and experience turnaround in my finances last year as I stepped out on faith to publish my first book – Before The Throne. The experience stretched me because I personally did not have the amount needed, but I began to see the supernatural provision of GOD in the many gifts and donations that started to come immediately after I stepped out but that all began to slow down in the middle of the process. When this happened, I didn’t really know what to do until, I heard a message taught on the widow woman and her two mites that set me free from shame in my giving that I didn’t realize I had.
Cindy Jacobs: And you would say, “But, Lord, I don’t feel the acceleration.”
Mary Luti: He could’ve addressed post-ascension practicalities, equipped them with doctrines, vision statements, and achievable goals for the early church.
Anna Blake: Learning to connect with horses in the present takes mental focus.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: This is the meaning of the verse (Exodus 14:29), “And the Children of Israel walked on the dry land within the sea”. On the seventh day of Pesach at the splitting of the sea they were able to see G-dliness. This experience was the preparation for the giving of the Torah forty-two days later, when, throughout the whole world, the level of “land” in its most physical “G-dliness hidden” level, became imbued with the spiritual level of the “sea” of “G-dliness revealed”. This is what is means that at Mount Sinai (Exodus 10:20), “And G-d came down on Mount Sinai”, that the Torah was drawn down into this physical world in a revealed way.
Brat: Lord Jesus, send Michael or Your mighty angel who stood holding the little scroll in his hand. He had his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. (Rev 10:2)
Revelation 10: 8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: “Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
The Divine Wedgie (in “Transcendent Influence” 4 Apr 18): Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, in his 46th World Communications Day message, provided an immensely helpful contribution in his reiteration of the importance of silence in communication, not only as a means of deepening understanding communication, but also in creating spaces of peace in what might otherwise be a maelstrom of words:
In silence, we are better able to listen to and understand ourselves; ideas come to birth and acquire depth; we understand with greater clarity what it is we want to say and what we expect from others; and we choose how to express ourselves.
Voice: “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.” (v 4)
Brat: How else do we show this expression, your Eminence?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: Just like the Jewish people were commanded to be silent because of G-d’s command, so also the sea, the noisiest of all the creations also stopped raging and became silent.
Brat: Who will take the scroll this time honestly by asking, and not by conspiracy, manipulation, or deceit? Know any Jesuits?
Donna Schaper: Prayer
When we confuse religion with discomfort, guide us to a more beautiful faith.
Shaul and Chaya Bracha Leiter: Chag sameach and Shabbat shalom
Dr. Jurgen Buhler: A Big Passover THANK YOU!

The Doors: Hello, I Love You! [https://youtu.be/8f1z-nHvt3c]
Brat (in “Narnia’s Lamppost” 2 Apr 18): In his sermon Pastor John Tolle had talked about Jesus knocking at our door (Rev 3:20) and how He won’t pound it down.
The Doors: She holds her head so high
Like a statue in the sky
Her arms are wicked and her legs are long
When she moves my brain screams out this song
Brat: Again, I offer this simply as evidence for the judges of Israel to decide. (It was Israel, wasn’t it?):
Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: “Speak to Aharon and his sons: Thus shall you bless the people of Yisrael.” ~ Numbers 6:22 (The Israel Bible™)
Jon and Jolene Hamill: He stands willing to apply the verdict already granted to Jesus and you, to see you completely forgiven and your generational line completely cleansed with a new covering released which reflects your new identity. The mantle of the Ancient of Days!
1 John 2:1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous
Jonathan Bernis: God is saying that as long as the sun is shining by day and the moon and the stars at night, He is going to preserve the Jewish people as a nation. Let’s read on, “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done.” (Jeremiah 31:37)
John 20:19 When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
John-Paul & Annie: Kathryn – Peace be with you!
Anna Blake (2 Apr 18): Rise/Set
What is it about a sunset that I
cannot look away? Trying to make
out a small movement, barely caught
with the edge of my eye, my dusk
vision falters, squinting toward
the south pasture. Then the sunset
slams across the sky, sideways light
blasting slim prairie grass shadows
flat to the ground. Whatever moved
has become as still as me, listening
to the upbeat honking of geese on
the pond. The water reflects a young
moon in an exhausted sky, erupting
in rose and gold. Color seeps down
from the clouds as the prairie gives
up the day, dissolving to a bruised
wash that flows until it ebbs, and
then drains purple and rust, leaving
a residue of shadow color. Staining
small lives with an immortal gleam.
John 20:26 A week later his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were shut, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
Thomas Griffin: You have victory in the end and also now as you are going through. Hide yourself in Jesus for He is the ONLY shelter in the storm. HE will come in the right time and speak peace be still. To everything there is a time and a season…yes even for your deliverance. Be strong in the Lord and endure until the end. Remember the words of the Son of the LIVING GOD: I am with you always.”
Brat (in “Locks” 28 Mar 18): In “Eighth King” I’d said how the Church missed the message of Christ resurrected because she preaches Christ crucified. (1 Cor 1:23) Just look at all the Catholic crucifixes! Rome took Paul seriously. St Paul also said that he was completing the work of Jesus on the cross.
Colossians 1:24 (CEB) Now I’m happy to be suffering for you. I’m completing what is missing from Christ’s sufferings with my own body. I’m doing this for the sake of his body, which is the church.
Brat: As the Church wakes up to the reality of Jesus’ resurrection, Paul’s work will be fulfilled. Paul’s mission will finally be completed by us! What a relief that will be for him!
Fr Dwight Longenecker: Christ’s death therefore is not a passive submission, but an active participation in what God is doing, and he had a good example in his mother who first said, “Let it b done to me according to your will.” She is also the one who acknowledged that with God all things are possible.
Pastor John Tolle (1 Apr 18): What are the secrets in your life?
Jon and Jolene Hamill: When the prophet Daniel saw Heaven’s Court, he identified God not only as the righteous Judge, but as the Ancient of Days. The Lord presides as the Ancient of Days because He is eternal. In other words, He knows your past, your present, and your future. He knows the secrets of your family line. He knows when your forefather sinned, bowing his knee to Baal, and thereby opening your entire generational line to darkness. He knows when you entered into this cycle and perpetuated the darkness.
Brat (in “Good Friday” 30 Mar 18): Tonight Pastor John said that following Jesus’ path to the cross was a way of pain, a series of choices. It was appropriate that he preached Christ crucified this evening. This, too, we share with Christ in our collective Via Dolorosa.
I went into the tomb and held my Lord’s body.
John 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
Fr Dwight Longenecker: Therefore from Good Friday onwards, human free will was empowered. By the power of his death and resurrection humanity was able to shake off the bonds of fatalism which had been caused by the cycle of blame and do something about the problems in the world.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: This is true in our personal lives as well. Couples don’t get divorced in one day. Children don’t get alienated from parents in one day. People don’t become alcoholics or other addicts in one day. Bernie Madoff did not become a mega-thief in one day. It is a gradual process. We make small mistakes; we ignore small symptoms; we fail to challenge the small habits and instincts. We ignore the small daggers at our heart. We deceive ourselves that it is all still sweet, functional, and fine. And then, before we know it the monster has grown strong and we are drowning in despair and grief.
Fr. Dwight Longenecker (31 Mar 18): Finally, when you see the three crosses on Good Friday remember that on either side of Jesus are two men who have to choose. The penitent thief chooses Life and his cross becomes a Tree of Life. The unrepentant thief rejects Christ and chooses the Dark Tree of Evil.
Jesus’ cross stands between them–offering forever the choice for Life or the choice for Death, and to the one who chooses life he says, “Today you will be with me in paradise.”
Revelation 2: 7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Amanda Shiflett: We must not become lone islands to ourself, but we must realize that we all bring a part, and if we will lay down our pride and join together for certain assignments for our regions and nations, we will see much accomplished and His Kingdom advanced in amazing ways in the days to come!
Rabbi YY Jacobson: The foundations of Judaism do not require blind faith. They are rational. To assume that a house was built by a contractor, not as a result of an avalanche randomly combining the bricks that built the home, is quite rational. To embrace the notion that the 40 trillion cells of one human body, each cell organized with mind-staggering coherence, skill and order, did not occur randomly, is not primitive. (And this is only one body of one human. Now multiply these mind blowing structures with every other organism on our planet!). Similarly, for the Jews standing at Sinai it was rational to believe that G-d wants them to observe the Torah.
Anna Blake: About now, it dawns on you that it’s true. He did take every lousy cue you gave him. It’s amazing the enlightenment that comes with breathing. Last week, I wrote about a bubble. It’s a safe place for you and your horse where breathing happens with a life-affirming regularity. It’s a place where leadership means safety and peace, where we abide in the present moment. The next series of blogs will be an experiential guide to building a bubble for you and your horse.
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: In other words, the birth of the Jewish people as a nation, becoming something completely new, is tied to their becoming “the nation of the Torah”. Both because after 210 years of living so close to Egyptian society and adapting their ways, the Jews were as far away from Torah as you can imagine, and also because the Torah is something so divine, literally G-d’s wisdom. Either way, our connecting to the Torah was a total transformation. Our whole reality, even as individuals, became, and is, Torah. And this is true even if a person is not actively involved in a “Torah” observant lifestyle. The true and unique Jewish identity of the Jewish nation is expressed through our connection to G-d’s will and wisdom, the Torah.
Fr Dwight Longenecker: The second part is faith. In faith we also say, “I want to fix this, but I can’t do it alone. I do not have enough power. Therefore I am joining myself to the risen one so that his power can work through me to do this thing I must do.”
Amanda Shiflett: Many will be given the opportunity to form these different alliances in the weeks and months to come, but not all will receive this mandate that the Lord is calling for them to take. They must be willing to lay down their own agenda, for the greater good of transforming a region, state, or nation. Some will attempt to do these mandates on their own, and they may accomplish a portion of what the Lord is wanting to be done, but they will not be able to complete the full mission. Many will be hurt and wounded in the process, because they do not have the understanding of the power of joining together in unity for an assignment. There is a great danger for those who attempt to take on these mandates & assignments alone, without the joining together of others for the common purpose. There is power, supernatural strategy and strength in unity!
Brat: Lord, my writings are my dowry and I offer them to the Churches, or anyone whom You have in mind who wants them.
What the Heavenly Court deems is up to God, but I CANNOT continue the way things are going! I need hands and feet of MERCY knocking on my door.
St Faustina Novena: Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service, that they may perform worthy works of mercy; and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven.
Brat: After ten years, I am still parking and praying for the reconciliation of the Churches. My car is my “sanctuary” where I pray, and my “sanctuary” now needs sanctuary! The Church used to support her holy hermits and monastics.
The Doors: Sidewalk crouches at her feet
Like a dog that begs for something sweet
Do you hope to make her see, you fool?
Do you hope to pluck this dusky jewel?
Rabbi YY Jacobson: “The Torah speaks of four children: One is wise, one is rebellious, one is simple and one does not know how to ask.”—Haggadah
Anna Blake: In hindsight, I was being quite mature. Meaning lots of adults think a horse should pay attention to them on general principle. Perhaps because we think we’re the master species. Perhaps because that’s what happens most days when we put the key in the truck ignition. The world is a very logical place, but human logic and horse logic are two very different things. This is the place things start to come apart.
Donna Schaper: Prayer
When things fall apart, O God, wind us around each other in pain and community. Amen.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: Every human being possesses an animal-consciousness within him or her. This dimension of our identity, constituting our regularly experienced sense of self, is self-oriented and self-absorbed. Its exclusive quest in life is self-preservation and gratification. It’s one question, repeated before every encounter and before every endeavor, is “What is in this for me?”
Anna Blake: No. It’s impossible for your horse to be distracted. He lives in the world of his immediate senses. His keen eyesight, his acute hearing ability, and his perceptive sense of smell; each of his senses is unimaginably better than ours. Humans use intellectual thoughts [to] replace physical awareness. It’s why we get along so well with cell phones but it makes us tenderfoots in the real world. The disconnect doesn’t mean your horse is ignoring you. Your horse is the opposite of distracted. He’s hyper-focused.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: But how does one achieve this difficult goal?
Rabbi Shaul Yosef Leiter: The first step is that the student has to be completely nullified, humbled to the teacher, completely emptying himself of his prior perspectives. Literally an empty vessel. The next step is that the student has to begin to absorb the idea, to use his own intellect. But it is not so simple. To eventually achieve a level where the student understands the idea on the same level as the teacher, yet in his own mind, a few things have to happen. The teacher has to “contract” the idea so that it is understandable to the mind of the student and then the student has to ‘free’ himself from the previous constrictions of his intellect and then using the idea as leverage, has to elevate his own intellect to the level of intellect of the teacher. Only through this process, first of “nullification”, then of ‘freeing”, can the student reach the level of his teacher.
Anna Blake: Should your horse totally focus on you?
Jonathan Bernis: Even though Israel rebelled, even though she was unfaithful, God is faithful. He made the covenant with Himself. God is being faithful to Himself to fulfill His promise to Israel. And as long as there are stars and the moon at night and the sun during the day, as long as the heavens above haven’t yet been measured, God will preserve the Jewish people. (In Sid Roth’s ‘They Thought For Themselves,’ p 52)
Brat: Do you think that maybe God took home Stephen Hawking because he was getting too close to measuring the heavens above, and therefore God is giving the Jews another chance? Just a thought.
St Faustina Novena: Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from It. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Thomas Griffin: “This situation you are going through, this is the cross in your life. This trouble (which was promised) is come to break your flesh and strengthen your Spirit. Endure like Jesus did. Finish the race. Go THROUGH. Your character, your heart, and your mind, are all being renewed through this process. Stand strong in the Lord for you’re not alone and will never be pressed passed the point of victory in Jesus. The bible says, “LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS”, the mind of Christ is to endure the cross not to escape. God will be gloried as you surrender to His plan.
St Faustina Novena: Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.
Brat (in “Good Friday” 30 Mar 18): When God asked me to marry Him, He cleansed and washed all that [junk] away, putting on a clean garment, a mantle. Ironically, even though He is a carpenter by trade, He could not provide a place for me to live like any other married couple.
Thomas Griffin: Sow a seed in this moment of grace for breakthrough. Step into breakthrough and choose Our Father as your provider and provision.
Acts 4:34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold.
Brat (in “Truth or Dare?” 20 Mar 18): My pastor had said on Sunday (18 Mar 18), “When we process the gospel and take stock, none of us are discipling.” I think there is much truth in that. The Church knows how to teach, but not disciple. Me included. Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations. I sincerely think we don’t know how. Maybe the Vatican could use some discipleship, too! God help us with this, please.
St Faustina Novena: Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard–upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end.
Anna Blake: Now for the fun part; we’ll build the bubble by pretending to be horses.
Revelation 19:14 The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
Emily C. Heath: God’s love has already won. It’s our work to spread that good news to those who do not yet know it. Our thanksgiving thus becomes the world’s joy, and our every action becomes a small reminder of resurrection.
1 John 1:4 We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz (2 Apr 18): US Ambassador Blesses Israel at Mass Priestly Blessing
Emily C. Heath: “O give thanks to the Lord, for God is good;
God’s steadfast love endures forever!
Let Israel say,
“God’s steadfast love endures forever.” – Psalm 118:1-2
Thomas Griffin: No gift is too small. Whether you sow $22, $300, or $50 Spirit Fuel believes God will honor it. Thank you for your support!
Brat: Thank you, my writings are my tithe, and therefore they are not too small. That doesn’t mean that you’ll get my dowry.
Acts 4:35 They laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.
Rabbi YY Jacobson: The tradition expressed the truth that Elijah’s cup is filled from all of our wines. We must act together, each contributing his or her own best talents and energies, to bring Elijah’s promise to the world. No one is excluded from the work of bringing our world toward redemption. Each of us has something to do to ignite the world with love.
Thomas Griffin: Note from Spirit Fuel: When we are faithful to sow into the Kingdom of God, Spirit Fuel believes we are setting ourselves up for UNEXPECTED MIRACLES! Sow somewhere today and get ready for the unexpected!
