John E. Thomas: Why is it that God so often speaks the language of mystery?

Brat: Pergamum listens but does not hear. That’s why the overcomer gets some hidden manna. She can’t hear the obvious.

Revelation 2:12 “To the angel of the church in Pergamum write:

These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword.

Steve Shultz: Matthew 2:13 says,

“When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. ‘Get up,’ he said, ‘take the Child and His mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the Child to kill Him.'”

Fr Dwight Longenecker (in “Message” 24 Nov 17): Mystery of the Magi

Brat: Is there another Herod on the books? (Matthew 2:16) Just want to make it perfectly clear that I am sick and tired of the divination tricks!

Revelation 22: 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

Brat: Can we go home by a different route, please?

To Pergamum (in “Message” 24 Nov 17): Revelation 2:13 I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to My name. You did not renounce your faith in Me, not even in the days of Antipas, My faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.

Matthew Tan: The analogy drawn between the city and the interior life also means that, as the city is likened to a human person, the interior life of the human person is also spoken of as an urban landscape. The seeds of the trope were sown in the Scriptures, where Jesus spoke of the necessity of closing the door of my “inner room” when I pray (Matt 6:6) –  the slippage from the literal to the analogical inner room is as easy to make as it is easy to overlook.

Randy and Barbara Walter: Learning to rest is a process. The Lord said, “The real question is: are you making progress in your process? Pick one thing that you struggle with and make an effort to commit it to Me. Then, whenever you find yourself failing to do that, recommit it to Me with greater fervor. Gain one victory like that and the others will become simpler.

Brat (in “Cowgirl” 8 Nov 17): In my piece “Where?” there were three different points addressing the same question:

  1. Where – to share? (ie, Who is interested?)
  2. Where – to pray? (ie, I’m still asking for a prayer closet after ten years!)
  3. Where – is my tribe?

2 Corinthians 9:13 Through the testing of this ministry you glorify God by your obedience to the confession of the gospel of Christ and by the generosity of your sharing with them and with all others

Rabbi YY Jacobson (in “Hail” 22 Nov 17): It is hard for many people to create room for another, and let them shine brightly. We are scared that they might “get the head” and we will end up with the leg. Some of us spend years to ensure that others don’t succeed. They feel that their success necessitates the failure of others.

Brat (in “Cowgirl” 8 Nov 17): On the drive here I had asked God what He said after He passed between the mirrored pieces. [Genesis 15] Did He say anything while He passed through? I don’t see that He said anything. If the smoking firepot represents hospitality (which EVERY religion professes to be important and we are mirrors of each other), then there are no words.

Shabtai Teicher: This is the secret of the verse “Let the evil of the wicked finish them, but You will establish the righteous…” (Psalms 7:10) One whose deeds make him evil – he will finish by taking all the evil to himself. This is what it says, “Let the evil of the wicked finish them”, while all the good is taken by the righteous person whose actions have purified him. Thus, he is finished and totally established, as it says, “…You will establish the righteous.”

Randy and Barbara Walter: “Change the way you think in life-giving ways. It won’t work if you do it on a performance basis because it’s a lifestyle change. Think of it as changing your style to receive life – a lifestyle. You’re not at the mercy of your emotions; your emotions are subject to your righteousness. You are a righteous person. You can do this.”

Brat: As you are resting, please meditate on those three “Where?” questions from the street perspective and not the pulpit. Then see if maybe the tone and sermon on lifestyle changes softens with mercy.

John E. Thomas: God’s veiled speech reveals our hearts: Do we really want to understand, or do we just want to have an experience? Are we looking for relationship or entertainment?

Shabtai Teicher: Knowing this you will be able to understand in the next section the danger faced by King David.

Brat Prayer: O, merciful God! The silence continues from my outreach to leaders. Maybe it’s a technology glitch. I donno. I freely confess my ineptitude in that arena. Please create grace space wherever it is needed to make room for Mercy to walk through the pieces, so that the Churches may hear what You are saying. Her deeds are incomplete! Help her to finish her assignment, since she professes to want a relationship with You and I am included in this relationship with them.

Working Dates: Black Friday, November 24, 2017 to Saturday, November 25, 2017

Brian Simmons: “Send Me the 7 Lessons” and we will message them to you.

Ephesians 1:17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Him

Christy Johnston: He then led me to Joel 3:13: “Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread the grapes, for the winepress is full. The storage vats are overflowing with the wickedness of these people.”

Ezekiel 34:11 For thus says the Lord GOD: I Myself will search for My sheep, and will seek them out.

International Fellowship of Christians and Jews: …we invite you to learn more about current events…and to learn more about the Jewish roots of Christianity…

Brat: [Sigh.] We’re not saved by what we know.

Mary Luti: He hasn’t heard God sigh, “Ah, Tim, you…” for years. He knows he may never hear his name that way again. But recently he told me he’s content. He has what he’s always wanted.

Israel 365: Help Israel’s Holocaust Survivors ✡ “Ah, Those Who Call Evil Good And Good Evil”

Pastor Bruce Zachary: How did this simple knowledge turn the world “upside down” in the first century? And why is it so vitally important that we understand today what it truly means that Jesus is “The Christ,” the Son of the living God?

Leah D. Schade: Rethinking Christ the King from the Ground Up

Brat (in “Triple Grace” 18 Nov 17): Thank you for your contribution. When there is no response to attempts at engagement the only place to go is up. Father God, I bless You! I give You thanks for answered prayers for triple grace! I stand with You on the sea of glass in peace that surpasses the understanding that I know what is going on, and still all I can do is just ride the beast. Paws on the ground! Through it all I tether to You, Jesus. I anchor in Your kingdom presence. Thanks be to God! Praise Jesus anyway! I know You go where I cannot go. I trust You, Lord. Amen.

Cindy Jacobs (31 Oct 17): We know there has been some movement towards that, where I believe, I don’t know when it happened, but I had heard that the pope apologized for what happened with Luther, to the Lutherans. …I believe that we’re in a John 17 movement, and in fact, as I was talking to a lot of leaders today here in Berlin, there’s all these Christian leaders who are just coming around this great event, coming up on Oct. 31.

Ephesians 1:20 God put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places

Rabbi YY Jacobson: [Sadly, there are exceptions to this rule. In some cases the marriage cannot be salvaged because the well has either dried out or it was never there to begin with. From a Torah point of view, unlike the present secular perspective, these are rare instances, and do not constitute the norm.]

Matthew 25:46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

To Pergamum: Revelation 2:13 I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to My name. You did not renounce your faith in Me, not even in the days of Antipas, My faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.

Monk (in “Hail” 22 Nov 17): And in addition to that, Ephesus came through on Saturday (18 Nov 17) and Craig Davidson, Mary Hope, and I specifically prayed against the spirit of Deceit and Apathy in the Church.

Brat: One man returns, but there were TWO Witnesses.

Todd Bentley: The Holy Spirit spoke to me saying, “All you need is a fire and a hammer to break through the strongholds and penetrate the hearts of the religious minds and darkness of the people.” “‘Is not My word like fire?’ says the LORD, ‘and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?'” (Jeremiah 23:29)

Daniel 2: 27 Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, 28 but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these:

Fr Dwight Longenecker: Mystery of the Magi

Brat: Is there another Herod on the books? (Matthew 2:16) Just want to make it perfectly clear that I am sick and tired of the divination tricks!

Revelation 22: 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

Brat: Can we go home by a different route, please?

Rabbi YY Jacobson: A well, unlike other pools of water, contains opposite components. On one hand, the well is of no value without human effort and toil. Unlike the readily exposed rain or ocean water, we must dig hard, and sometimes deep, to uncover the spring of water hidden below the crust of the earth.[5]

Revelation 12: 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: On the other hand, we human beings do not create, generate or even enhance the flow of water of the well; our efforts merely expose that which already exists fully, prior to our labor.

Brian Simmons: From this passage, we learn Seven Major Wilderness Lessons. You will excel in life when you master these seven truths: Comment “Send Me the 7 Lessons” and we will message them to you.

Brat: I thought Lance Wallnau already sent you the Seven Lessons for the Seven Churches (which are part of the Seven Mountains). Chuck Pierce picked them up. Rick Joyner hawked them. Ephesus remembered them. The Catholics got off on them.

Ezekiel 34:21 Because you pushed with flank and shoulder, and butted at all the weak animals with your horns until you scattered them far and wide

Todd Bentley: In this prophetic experience, the Lord gave me a hammer. I thought, “A hammer, Lord? Why not a sickle or a sword?”

Pastor Bruce Zachary: Peter’s great revelation of Jesus was “You are the Christ, the son of the living God.” Jesus said this truth was the “rock” upon which he would build his church.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: This is the Torah approach to marriage as well. We do not create our personal wellspring of love. Through our efforts we merely expose a relationship that has already been welded by G-d prior t[6]o our birth, in the words of the Zohar,[7] “A wife and her husband are two halves of the same soul.” Each of our matches, just like a well, is made in heaven.[8] The connection is there beforehand; the flow of water-energy from your soul to your future spouse’s soul is already in existence. It may however be completely concealed and the human job is to search, dig and expose that inner source of water.

Anna Blake: Thinking back now, I wonder if my Cowboy Girl perfume offended him. Nothing’s changed; I’m still so grateful for horses in my life that I’ll take it as a compliment.

Brat: I’m sure Jesus is pleased! I know that I am grateful for your service and assistance on this journey!

Matthew 25:40 And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’

Mary Luti: “Ah, Tim, You…”

Sheep’s password: Baaramewe. Baaramewe. To your breed, your fleece, your clan be true. Sheep be true. Baaramewe.

Ezekiel 34:12 As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out My sheep. I will rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.

Brat (in “Hail” 22 Nov 17): In my case this still does not honor my vows to Christ, who is Head of the Church. This doesn’t bring the Church into the relationship dynamic at its core. It doesn’t hold the Church accountable. Tweets remain far off and removed. (Rev 18:15) Tweets then become entertainment in the name of Jesus and at the expense of the tweeter. The Church herself just sits in her cloud and witnesses without getting her hands dirty. Why should she? The martyrs have already done the hard work. Didn’t Pope Francis say that officers should show mercy to drivers?

Agence France-Presse: Pope Francis tells police to show ‘mercy’ to reckless drivers: They have no sense of responsibility[1]

Lance Wallnau: PLAN B: “Build a wall with your mashed potatoes and talk about how illegal border crossings are down 73%. Hover your fork over an item on their plate and say “I’m a socialist and I want what is on your plate. Do you mind if I take it?”

Brian Simmons: Finding Your Friend in the Wilderness
“In the desolate wilderness [God] found [Jacob]—in a barren land and an empty wasteland. There he shielded him and cared for him; he watched over him in love as the apple of his eye. And in the same way an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, then spreads its wings to catch them and lifts them up on its pinions— so the Lord cared for them!”(Deuteronomy 32:11–12)

Revelation 12:14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.

Brat: We’ve been through this again …and again … and again…

Revelation 22:I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.

Pastor Bruce Zachary: The angel Gabriel was personally sent to tell Daniel that one called “The Christ” would appear and what his mission would be!

Daniel 2: 34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them.

Lillian Daniel: And now here we all were, celebrating Thanksgiving. We had been gathered as a hen gathers her chicks, a rag tag brood that would otherwise have had nowhere safe to go. But now we were gathered, under a sheltering wing.

Todd Bentley: We were standing on the edge of the field. I felt the Father (Lord of the harvest) say, “The Church is on the edge now of the great harvest at the end of the age” (see Matthew 13:24-43).

Anna Blake: But a Thanksgiving sunset like this one stops time. It gives you pause to do the math. I’ve traveled to seventeen barns this year, teaching what I know, but more than that, being given the opportunity to work with an incredible extended herd of horses. At 63, I’m on a huge learning curve. How can that even be possible?

Ezekiel 34:20 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD to them: I Myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

Sheep’s password: Baaramewe. Baaramewe. To your breed, your fleece, your clan be true. Sheep be true. Baaramewe.

John 10:3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

Christy Johnston: When I looked up the definition of a sickle, I almost fell off my chair. It is described as “a short-handled farming tool with a semicircular blade, used for cutting CORN.” To me, these corn stalks represent those who have been enslaved by the enemy. They are in bondage to his lies. But YOU, son and daughter of God, are being equipped with the sickle in this very moment to CUT them free and EMANCIPATE them to the TRUTH! That is the very nature of harvest.

Brat: It looks like we have a Joseph thing goin’ down. Joseph had the dream of the seven corn stalks.

Genesis 37:He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”

Revelation 22: But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

Pastor John Tolle: Your testimony is not on how Jesus saved you ten years ago, but what He’s doing today. Take authority over your blindness. This does not affect identity, but what God’s doing today.

Christy Johnston: Though America may be enduring many trials right now, I feel the tender love of the Father and the comfort of the Holy Spirit as He encourages and continues to strengthen His Bride. These prophetic signs of corn stalks that He orchestrated to be crafted into American history many years ago, were designed as an encouragement for His Bride for this very moment in time.

Mary Luti: “O God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you…as in a dry and weary land. I think of you on my bed; I meditate on you through the watches of the night…” – Psalm 63:1, 6

Anna Blake: In this age of superlatives, overstatement is the rule, so I’ll just draw a sketch. It’s a large piece of property with stands of trees and rolling meadows. The horses are shiny and well fed. Their health is maintained but there are no adoptions; this is a herd for life. They are not “owned” by human expectation but instead live as naturally as a domesticated herd can. It isn’t entirely flattering to see how well they do without our overt influence.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: And just as we cannot create a well, we can neither destroy it. We can stuff it, obstruct it or divert its flow, but we cannot annihilate it. The three spiritual giants who became engaged at wells also taught us this message about relationships. When you experience a conflict with your spouse or you simply become aware of strong differences that drive you worlds apart, do not conclude that the relationship is dead.

Prayer (in “Obituary” Good Friday 2012): Lord, please have mercy on the Church-as-Institution. You said that Your “son” (a male child) was snatched up to You and to Your throne. (Rev 12:5) May the Institution rest in peace there. Since the “son,” who has ruled all the nations with an iron scepter, has been snatched up to heaven, may that now give rise to Your authentic Church-as-Your-Bride. May she rise up in her wedding gown and walk into Your loving arms. Amen.

Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

Anna Blake: There’s a whole world of us. We’re grown-up horse crazy girls; we’ve gained some power and vision. Our voices carry on the wind to the far side of the planet. We understand the meaning of collaboration. We learned it from mares, but one day at a time, we’re changing the world. Take a breath and snug your hats, my friends. We’ve only started.

Todd Bentley: After my recent dream encounter with the three angels, I realized that the harvest and the raising of the dead were connected to the manifestation of glory! The glory of God will become such a central focus of this move of God that quite often people will forget about all the other gifts, personalities and talents, because they will be so overwhelmed by the manifest glory and presence of Jesus!

Ezekiel 34:16 I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with justice.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Our fathers encountered their wives by wells to teach us the most effective therapy of all when conflict might emerge—“well therapy:” the unwavering conviction that the relationship is etched into our very souls. Our labor is only to expose and enhance a preexisting bond and oneness.

Anna Blake: I’ve been blessed (a ridiculous understatement) to meet an exceptional group of women. Founders and volunteers at therapeutic riding programs who have a deep understanding of how hard their horses work. Veterinarians and bodyworkers and trainers who do rehab and retraining, patiently bringing horses back from the worst experiences with humans. And everyday horse lovers who really, no really, just want the best for their horses. Each person, a horsewoman in the finest sense of the word. You all make me proud, standing on my little farm and remembering my crazy luck this year.

Pastor Bruce Zachary (12 Nov 17): Why is Jesus called The Christ?

Leah D. Schade: Christ the King locates himself not just in the heights of the heavens, but in the depths of the soil that birthed him, took him…

Matthew 25:34 Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world

Anna Blake: There was palpable peace among these horses, many abused and neglected previously. Driving through the pastures, many of the horses don’t bother to look up. It dawns on me that this is what it really means to be accepted by the herd.

Ezekiel 34:13 I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited parts of the land.

Todd Bentley: Bob [Jones] often spoke of his own resurrection after a death experience in 1975, in which he saw the great end-time harvest begin. He often referred to the resurrection angels, harvest and raising the dead in the glory. Bob often prophesied about revival of the “resurrection of the dead” ministry that was a great ministry of greater works and miracles (see Romans 1:4).

Pastor Bruce Zachary: After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the world was shaken by this simple truth. It completely delivered and transformed the lives of everyone who believed it!

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Why Did Our Great Men Encounter Their Wives by Wells?

Anna Blake: I guess in hindsight, it was a phase I was in, one that started out feeling like the fringe. The thing I never expected was that loving animals would circle back and reintroduce me to a better version of my own species. And there’s nothing unique about me.

Matthew 25:35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Thus the Torah informs us that precisely these three men found their women at wells of water. This symbolized their own attitude towards finding a spouse: The relationship, just like a well, is a preexisting reality. But since it is hidden beneath the surface of the earth, each person is called upon to do his or her part in digging, in order to expose and maintain the inherent relationship between the husband and the wife.[9]

Ezekiel 34:23 I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd.

Brat: Thank you for your ministry. I cannot sow money, but I sow a blessing. I give God praise that He will make paths in the wilderness and make connections that have been severed for whatever reason. I thank God and bless the Holy Spirit to make grace space for the books to be opened. Jesus is worthy, as Cindy Jacobs testifies. ~k

Cindy Jacobs (31 Oct 17): I believe after all this time that it is like a hallmark, it’s like the Lord saying He is ready to bring a massive awakening worldwide. Many times in history are just times of celebration, but I’ve talked to many, many leaders and prophetic voices as well around the globe, and their consensus is: it’s the hinge of history.

Brat: Thanks be to God! Jesus, You have begun to reign! Halleluja! (Rev 11:17)

Ezekiel 34:24 And I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them; I, the LORD, have spoken.

Elissa Johnk: “The high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak [ …] is a man whose name is Branch: for he shall branch out in his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord.” – Zechariah 11-12

Donna Schaper: Worthy of a call? Could I get a rain check? A way out of my home in I-don’t-know-how or I-wish-I-could?

Victoria Boyson: However, before the Lord brings in the wave of prodigals to the Church, He will and is raising up His Kingdom shepherds—entire congregations of shepherds. They are those with the heart to deliver the lost and a willingness to build a blessed foundation and home for those coming home! They’re the determined, faithful mamas and papas, no matter the age. They are friends of the Father who will stand alongside those fresh-hearted prodigals and will determine to restore them to who they are called to be in CHRIST!

Brat: St Paul would be so proud!

Rabbi YY Jacobson: How Mother Rebecca Initiated the Outreach Revolution

Journal (23 Nov 17): The landscapers are at the park AGAIN, on Thanksgiving Day, no less! No doubt they are here to get triple pay on a holiday. But the park never gets a day of rest. Greed overrides creation once again. Lord, break the spirit of this beast! For Your own Name’s sake, intervene! Do what we cannot do! The Recreation and Parks District is just a microcosm of the bigger picture.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: The absurdities of this story are numerous. One question cannot be ignored: Is this the proper way for a woman to behave, to contrive a scheme to outsmart her husband’s planning? If Rebecca had a good reason as to why Esau was undeserving of his father’s blessings, why couldn’t she communicate it directly to Isaac? Why couldn’t Rebecca “follow” the glorious old tradition of Jewish wives who commonly explain to their husbands how wrong they are?

Brat (in “Go Get Her” 10 Aug 17): Thank you for the invitation, but are you listening? I am still asking for actual sanctuary. I am grateful that God has sustained me in my car these last ten years, but the Church has canon law to provide for her Anchorites. I’m holding out for the people to honor that.

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: Plague of Hail Hits Mediterranean City in Turkey Amidst Violent Thunderstorm

Revelation 5:I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Donna Schaper: Excuses abound for unworthiness. Even more, unworthiness is an excuse.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Why Deceive Your [spiritual] Husband?

Brat (in “Go Get Her” 10 Aug 17): And when I get no readers now on my blog stats counter? Zero. Not even one, where for a long time at least one person read me? And what about the silence from emails? It’s hard to feel heard when I give my best and there is … NOTHING. Yes, I write to give God the glory. No, I don’t write just for myself. I go out of my way to present the conversation fairly as it unfolds while including my own voice, too, because I am also part of this divine conversation. So, where’s the partnership? This divine conversation is a form of prayer, too!

Revelation 1: 19 “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.

Elissa Johnk: The Death of Church

Deuteronomy 8:15 who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, an arid wasteland with poisonous snakes and scorpions. He made water flow for you from flint rock

Kathryn Hauser’s Reflection for Good Friday 2012

Obituary

Here lies the Church-as-Institution. St Paul had said that we are crucified with Christ (Gal 2:20) and this is true. The Institution has been crucified with Christ. It is dead. It is not real and not personal. It cannot be because it is just a structure. Today we mourn the loss of a good friend. The Institution, along with its bride (ref Rev 22:17), were “crucified” and buried in a tomb in which no one had ever been laid. (Jn 19:41) The Book of Revelation outlines chapter by chapter interweaving verse by verse with the Gospel of John how the passion of the Church was crucified with the Passion of Christ. The death was inevitable. The Institution had a good, long life and was laid to rest in her favorite garden on the Day of Preparation. (Jn 19:42) No need to send flowers, as there is no one to send them to. Reflections can still be received upon request, since requests are real and personal. A silent vigil will be held tomorrow night.

Prayer: Lord, please have mercy on the Church-as-Institution. Amen.

Elissa Johnk: Maybe, just maybe, it would be helpful to think of the pastoral office – and religion in general – as a Receiver – a cultural holding place for all the things that are hard to understand and easily pushed aside.

Lance Wallnau (in “Touch Not” 17 Nov 17): You see, you’re climbing the hill of the Lord. As you hit a point of transition or promotion in the Kingdom, the cycles that make up your growth continually get shorter. For instance look at the life of Joseph. He was betrayed by his brothers and left in a pit. He was falsely accused of rape, put in prison, and then forgotten about for two years. Each cycle of betrayal and setback only increased his proximity to his ultimate assignment, which was to rule in the midst of his enemies.

Monk: Have you been talking to Pastor John Tolle? He keeps recycling the Joseph story.

Brat (in “Cowgirl” 8 Nov 17): So here we are at this point in the accursed cycle again. Yet again. And again. And one more time. James Goll had said that we are NOT at the same place that we were at a year ago. I want to believe that this is true. I’m just so disgusted with the lot of them that I cannot put stock in that hope. It’s not that I doubt what James said. It’s not that I doubt what Jesus said. It’s that I have no confidence in this tribe God sent me to. I have no confidence in my circumstances. From my vantage point I see them still buying and selling indulgences to fill their oil lamps. It all looks like foolishness to me.

Matthew 25:3 When the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them;

House of Destiny: Testimonies build and encourage our faith in God because we know if he’s done it before, he’ll do it again, and again, and again.

Luke 17:18 Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”

Pastor John Tolle: The process in my personal life is that some of my positions are changing, because my eyes are being opened. I see things in a new light. It’s not new on doctrine.

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: Though the hail itself was not necessarily miraculous, it was certainly out of the ordinary for the Mediterranean city which normally experiences balmy temperatures that rarely go below freezing, even in the winter.

Pastor John Tolle: We are asking that prayers end quickly. Pray and intercede again. We need to intercede. Most are recycling prayers. This doesn’t advance the Kingdom.

Victoria Boyson: Get ready! Prepare your heart to receive the wave of the harvest that is coming to you! This is your hour—it is what your spirit-man has longed for! Make way, for His awakening is coming. He will call all those who are weary and heavy laden and they will come to HIM! All those who’ve been trampled on and tormented by life, will come to Him! He will roar over principalities and they will crumble! Those who’ve been held in darkness for decades will recognize His voice and they will come to Him! As they come, He will call His shepherds to the front-lines and nurture and protect all those who’ve longed to know Him. He will be made known through them. Be ready to receive the blessing that is coming to you!

Pastor John Tolle: God will raise up godly people. He can use you. You may be a witness. What God gives you will challenge the credulity that came from heaven. They had no comeback.

Webster on ‘credulity’: naïveté, gullibility, simpleness

Brat: Are you saying that heaven is gullible and simple?

Lovesick Scribe: I am not naïve enough to believe that we do not have to engage in spiritual warfare. We must simply understand that the enemy does not have permission to set the atmosphere in the garden, which is us. When we read about the garden in Genesis, our focus tends to shift onto the fall, and we forget what was intended from the beginning. We magnify the serpent while diminishing intimacy with God. The devil needs to be addressed, and once he is addressed, he needs to be removed swiftly and with the authority given to us by Christ.

Revelation 11:10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

Brat: What else do you do on Pastor Appreciation Day?

Monk: And in addition to that, Ephesus came through on Saturday (18 Nov 17) and Craig Davidson, Mary Hope, and I specifically prayed against the spirit of Deceit and Apathy in the Church.

Brat: One man returns, but there were TWO Witnesses.

Luke 17:17 Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they?

Shira Schechter: Why do you think Rachel stole the idols from her father?

Deuteronomy 8:16 and fed you in the wilderness with manna that your ancestors did not know, to humble you and to test you, and in the end to do you good.

Lovesick Scribe: I encourage you to not allow the devil to turn you into a battlefield when you were made to be God’s garden. Your life is not his story. You have eaten from the Tree of Life, Jesus Christ. Do not permit him to write chapters in your life. You have two options in moments when the snake hisses imaginations and lofty opinions in the garden. You can make it his story, or you can keep it as history, and go on from faith to faith and glory to glory with Christ.

Bible Gateway: No Joke… Download Anything You Want on Storyblocks

Elissa Johnk: Sorry, Zechariah.  Read any newspaper and you’ll hear that religion is less like Zechariah’s branch – spreading understanding as it grows – than a stump.  A dead end.  Here’s the thing, though.  I’m _so_ tired_ of hearing about the impending Death of Church.

Deuteronomy 8:14 then do not exalt yourself, forgetting the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,

Brat: Church? It’s time for rewarding your servants the prophets… (Rev 11:18)

Monk: But wait…Firefox is not responding.

Brat: I tried to open Rick Joyner’s Word for the Week on Firefox and I got this message (which I thought was too funny!):

MailChimp

Something is amiss.

[Deuteronomy 8:17 Do not say to yourself, “My power and the might of my own hand have gotten me this wealth.”]

MailChimp: One of our servers is down and has issued a cry for help to our engineering swat team. We are investigating and resolving the issue this very second, and hope to have things back very soon.

In the meantime you can keep tabs on our progress at twitter.com/mailchimpstatus.

We very much appreciate your patience.

Eileen Christelow: “NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!”

Lana Vawser: What has “come out of left field” and is screaming “inconvenience” and “burden”, the wind of the Spirit is landing upon and turning that burden to an unimaginable blessing.

Rick Joyner: A key remedy to the worship of the beast and taking the mark is obeying Colossians 3:1-2, “Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” In this way we resolve to put our trust in the Lord and not the powers of this age. Those who know the Lord as their Source will not be tempted to take the mark of the beast so that they can buy, sell, or trade. It is those who do not know the Lord as their Source who are in jeopardy.

Shira Schechter: Do you think Jacob’s manipulation of the sheep actually affected the outcome? Why or why not? If not, why do you think Jacob did those things?

Rabbi YY Jacobson: What is needed is a broadening of consciousness; a cleansing of perception, a gaze into the mystical interrelatedness of all of us. Then I will not only allow, but will celebrate, your emergence in full splendor. Your success will not hinder mine, because we are one. Instead of thinking how can I cut you down I ought to think: How can I help you reach your ultimate success? Different “stones” may need to have different positions, yet here is no room for abuse, manipulation, back-stabbing, mistreatment and exploitation, because we are one.

Donna Schaper: Prayer
Oh, God, take us away from our hellish habits to spiritually-stepped rituals that ache to be worthy. Amen.

The Israel Bible: Give an Orphaned Israeli Girl Something To be Thankful For

Brat (in “Cowgirl” 8 Nov 17): In “Where?” there were three different points addressing the same question:

Rabbi YY Jacobson: It is hard for many people to create room for another, and let them shine brightly. We are scared that they might “get the head” and we will end up with the leg. Some of us spend years to ensure that others don’t succeed. They feel that their success necessitates the failure of others.

Simon Jacobson: This also tells us that the components that create beauty always have the potential for chaos, and even unsightliness. One color, one note – and definitely several – out of synch, will compromise the entire composition and make it look awry. One mutant cell can wreak havoc in the entire body. A single musical note may not be beautiful and will be tedious if repeated again and again, but it will not create chaos, just annoying monotony. As soon as you introduce more elements, the potential for chaos becomes possible. Each additional element – that can further beautify the composition – creates more potential discord.

Rick Joyner: In this beast, we have the three primary idols of the human race wrapped into one: 1) the worship of man as supreme, 2) the worship of the things of this world (“this present evil age”), and 3) the worship of money. Worship is not just what we have love and affection for, but what we put our trust in instead of God. This is an ultimate test by the ultimate traps of the human soul.

Yerachmiel Tilles: Moshe entered the Rebbe’s room, poured out his broken heart, and then offered his solution. But the Gerer Rebbe responded, “No, I am not in agreement with that suggestion.”

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: Hands off!

Tony Robinson: Sometimes faith is an act of defiance. Sometimes rejoicing is through tears.

Simon Jacobson: Something that strikes us (even subjectively) as beautiful is balance and symmetry of several – or very many – different elements, all combined in just the right blend.

Andy Sanders (in “Be Silent” 14 Nov 17): These two characteristics [honor and humility] working through God’s people will be the proof that His Spirit has truly transformed our lives in a tangible way. As Christians, we cannot walk in the supernatural as a lifestyle until we learn to honor those around us and clothe ourselves with humility through all circumstances. Supernatural power without honor and humility is merely a show for the masses. Cheap entertainment masked as Christianity is as dangerous as crossing over into unapproved territory. It is like playing with deadly fire (dishonor). We can no longer feel comfortable while playing with the flames of unauthorized fire.

Yonatan Gordon: If my tweets are emotive in nature, then will my followers think that I am as kind and compassionate after the absence? If they reply to my tweet, and I don’t respond within minutes, am I still a good communicator? This outage was unique in that the famous whale “overload” picture also failed to load. So too, the potential to connect with a teacher is sometimes best reached out of complete darkness and silence. The advantage of Abba over Imma is the understanding that all of reality is as nothing before God. So too when the substance of reality gives way to ideas, then the essence of the concepts become revealed for all to see.

Pastor John Tolle (19 Nov 17): Honestly, I can say that the Holy Spirit clears His throat.

Brat: (I belly-laughed when he said that, much too loudly and much too long, but I couldn’t not laugh! It must have been a Jonah thing.)

Pastor John Tolle: I have a whale of a lot to be thankful for!

Elissa Johnk: Of course, if the story of Jonas doesn’t work for you, I might also suggest Jesus.

Dutch Sheets: “Preaching from the River”

Brat: Hallelujah! God’s Word has been fulfilled! This looks like a beautiful Thanksgiving set up to me. And this comes after the Two Witnesses.

Monk: There’s only so much a girl can witness!

Revelation 11: 17 saying:

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.
18 The nations were angry,
and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

Brat: Prophecy fulfilled! Thanks be to God! Jesus, You have begun to reign! Halleluja!

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: While we are not quite to that point, I can see it coming. Women should continue to take pride and not only keep the predatory man at bay, but go the next step and refuse to have sexual relations with him unless he is interested in a continuing relationship, and for her own sake she should insist that the relationship be monogamous, that he should support her desire to have children and to do this they should stay together for life.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Your Subconscious Self Marries Your Subconscious Wife

Revelation 13:11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon.

Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: The re’eim is a large bison-like animal. The image is that G‑d provides for all creatures, from the greatest to the least.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: The woman was the one who was supposed to be pure and unsullied and keep the horny man at bay.

Yonatan Gordon: There are two words for “bird” in Hebrew, ‘oph’ and ‘tzipor’. The first word means to “fly,” the second, to “chirp.” To be a bird it’s not enough to know how to fly. You also must know how to chirp.

Victoria Boyson: The Father will roar and consume those wicked things that have tried to devour His Church. He will roar and destroy the oppression that’s plagued the governments of this world, and He will break those who’ve attempted to strip His Church of the power to declare His Word and silence them forever. And they will know it is God! There will be NO DOUBT Who is behind all the miraculous deliverances that are literally wiping out years of work the enemy’s labored after. Truly, satan is playing right into the Lord’s hands and through his own evil and destructive agenda, he will lose some of his greatest workers. They will suddenly see him for what he is and turn to the Lord’s side and tell us all how truly terrified he is of us.

Action Center: Are you having sound problems?

Yonatan Gordon: On June 21, 2012 Twitter underwent a series of service disruptions over a three-hour period. For about two hours and forty minutes, the micro communication world of over 500 million active users was quiet. What happens when social goes silent? Do our ready tweets turn any sweeter after the site is turned back on?

Tony Robinson: Sometimes you gotta say — or sing — Hallelujah Anyhow.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: And that, by the way, is what we call Christian marriage.

Donna Schaper: Doing these things won’t make me worthy of God’s call.  But it will remind me of whose I am and who my friends elsewhere are.  Worthiness might be a side effect.  I might even run out of excuses.

Rick Joyner: We often worship that which we give most of our attention. Obviously we live in the world, and there are some things in this world that we must give our attention to in order to survive and provide for ourselves and our families. To love our neighbors as we are called to means that we do things for them, our communities, and countries by being the salt and light we are called to be. We are commanded to do everything that we do as unto the Lord, so Christians should excel at their jobs and professions. However, if our main devotion and attention is on the earthly rather than on the things above with Christ, we will be in jeopardy of succumbing to this beast. This text is a warning to keep us from this.

Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, so that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your ancestors, as he is doing today.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: The episode with the stones, then, reflects a profound spiritual truth about human relationships. Much conflict — in families, communities, synagogues, organizations, corporations, and movements — stem from everyone’s fear that someone else will end up with the “head,” and you will be “thrown under the buss.”

Brat: In my case this still does not honor my vows to Christ, who is Head of the Church.

Revelation 11: 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: Once the boundaries were broken in the name of “anything goes” then things continue downward into chaos.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: But we can view each other in two distinct ways: as “diverse stones” and as a “single stone.” Both are valid perspectives, fair interpretations of reality. The first is superficial; the second demands profounder reflection and sensitivity. Superficially, we are indeed separate. You are you; I am I. We are strangers. I want the head; you want the head. So we quarrel.

Monk: Who’s got the tiger by the tail?

Mowgli: Did you see the video about the East Indian man trying to catch a huge cobra that was terrorizing the city?

Shere Khan: “I can’t help but notice there is a strange odor today… Man is forbidden!”

Brat (in “Cowgirl” 8 Nov 17): Holy Mary, break the hymen on this virgin voyage! Work with Jesus to break brush in this wilderness and open doors in these fortresses.

Revelation 11: 19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: I think it indicates that a new generation of women don’t give two hoots about the old feminist agenda. The main objectives for women have been pretty much obtained–fair pay and fair treatment in the workplace. Now a new generation of women is saying, “We don’t have to put up with the harassment and objectification that still continues.

Rick Joyner: This beast is distinguished from the last beast as it comes up out of the earth instead of the sea. In prophetic symbolism, this often relates to earthly mindedness, which is exalting the things of the earth and this age above the things of God and His eternal purposes manifested by His kingdom.

Brat: The woman riding the beast doesn’t care. I CARE!! I am anchored in Jesus Christ! Paws on the Ground!

Jesus Culture: One Thing Remains [https://youtu.be/6_KXsMCJgBQ]

“Your love never fails, it never gives up; it never runs out on me…”

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Jacob, the father of all Israel, who encompassed within himself the souls of all of his children, inspired this unity within the “stones” around him. Initially, the stones operated on a superficial level of consciousness, thus quarreling who will get to lie under Jacob’s head. But Jacob inspired in them a deeper consciousness, allowing them for that night to see themselves as a single stone, even while they were in different positions.

Bethel Music: Your love is devoted like a ring of solid gold
Like a vow that is tested like a covenant of old
Your love is enduring through the winter rain
And beyond the horizon with mercy for today

Simon Jacobson: To recognize harmony within diversity we need to have profound bitul – a deep sense of truth and integrity – that allows us to see the underlying thread that unites a vast variety of distinct forces. Tiferet has this bitul, and therefore, as the third and middle branch in the sefirot structure it serves as the spine that connects all the different sefirot, reaching up to keter (crown) and drawing down to malchut (action). It is able to penetrate within all the diversity and draw out the inner unity within all the dimensions, while also allowing each one to express its individuality. Like a conductor, tiferet, coordinates all the different musical instruments, all the diverse musical notes, each playing its particular instrument and note at its best, while joining together in one beautiful composition.

Bethel Music: “Ever Be” [https://youtu.be/XZDyMJhd4Bo]

Luke 17:14 When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were made clean.

Victoria Boyson: A shepherd’s heart will want only to care, guide, protect, help, comfort, dwell with and love his sheep—to watch over them and fight anything that would try to devour his sheep. Shepherds don’t have to be perfect, just willing. When Jesus instructed His disciples to feed His sheep, He spoke directly to the most imperfect disciple in the bunch (John 21:15-17).

Rabbi YY Jacobson: On a deeper level, though, we are one. The universe, humanity, the Jewish people — constitute a single organism. On this level, we are truly part of one essence. Then, I do not mind if you get the head, because you and I are one.

Brat (in “But Later You Will Understand”, Maundy Thursday, April 05, 2012): I ask this with softness in my voice: How is it that a prophet who truly “sees,” who lives in my own county (in Simi Valley, I think?), who really does have a heart for God, who knows technology inside and out and offers his own ministry via technology, and we still cannot make contact after 2 ½ years of my many attempts? What idol is waiting to be smashed? I write Reflections on the weekly lectionary scripture readings and he broadcasts over the Internet. We both proclaim the same Gospel. I am technologically inept to the near-point of paralysis and have no way to proclaim my written word to the world beyond my email box. No amount of education will save me from my own cross. I am technologically paralyzed. But Kim [Clement] and I have augmenting gifts. Either his guards shield him well, like they do in every institution, or we don’t speak the same language because he doesn’t believe or he never receives my Reflections. In that case then it is completely and wholly the Holy Spirit Who has been orchestrating every detail (which goes without saying anyway, but I’m saying it.) On my end, the Church-as-Institution is “dead.” We ARE crucified with Christ. (Please see my Good Friday Reflection called “Obituary.”) Doesn’t Kim “see” that he could be like the Best Man at the “wedding”? ~Kathryn Hauser

Revelation 3:10Since you have kept My command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

Brian Simmons (16 Nov 17): It is My glory to show mercy. I long to be merciful to those who turn to Me. You have placed your heart under My mercy fountain and you have been washed clean, forgiven all. My grace has restored your soul and your life’s portion overflows. My kindness to you has lifted you higher than any angel, at My right hand. Now I want you to be merciful to the guilty, gracious to the unworthy, and kind to those who mistreat you. Freely you have been given these virtues, now freely give them away and watch them multiply.

Elissa Johnk: Prayer
God, thank you for this institution that helps us to remember the way you have been, and always will be, present in our lives.  Today, help me to express this gratitude not simply with my lips, but with my life.  Amen.

House of Destiny: Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” Ps 50:23

There Are TWO Witnesses! 19 Nov 17

Sunday, November 19, 2017

Richard L. Floyd: Jesus was quick to spot religious hypocrisy. The Pharisees have got a bad name because of Jesus’ criticisms of them, but in truth they were the ones Jesus had the most affinity for. They were serious, pious and scrupulous keepers of Torah.

Leah D. Schade: (18 Nov 17): But one man turns.

Pope Francis: “Finally, I cannot but speak of the serious risks associated with the invasion, at high levels of culture and education in both universities and in schools, of positions of libertarian individualism. A common feature of this fallacious paradigm is that it minimizes the common good, that is, ‘living well,’ a ‘good life’ in the community framework, and exalts the selfish ideal that deceptively proposes a ‘beautiful life.’ If individualism affirms that it is only the individual who gives value to things and interpersonal relationships, and so it is only the individual who decides what is good and what is bad, then libertarianism, today in fashion, preaches that to establish freedom and individual responsibility, it is necessary to resort to the idea of ‘self-causation.’ Thus libertarian individualism denies the validity of the common good because on the one hand it supposes that the very idea of ‘common’ implies the constriction of at least some individuals, and the other that the notion of ‘good’ deprives freedom of its essence.”

Leah D. Schade: Who is the most grateful person you know?

Israel 365: Divine Instructions ✡ “You Must Open Your Hand”

Brat (18 Nov 17): Thank you for your contribution. Amen.

Barbie Breathitt: Catalyst angels know how to engineer multiple transformations and transitions, taking us higher in a reduced period of time. Catalyst angels utilize a person’s willingness to repent and change. As we enter into God’s rest, we will see the catalyst angels push things over-the-top, breaking every curse that has held us bound.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: Once the boundaries were broken in the name of “anything goes” then things continue downward into chaos.

Brat: One man returns, but there were TWO Witnesses.

Revelation 11:They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”

Leah D. Schade: Notice he [Paul] didn’t say give thanks for all circumstances.  Because certainly there are things that happen to us that we are not happy about, and for good reason.  Nor should we should feel forced to a fake an air of humble thankfulness for our affliction.  Rather, giving thanks in all circumstances means that no matter what happens, we give thanks that God is still with us.  We give thanks that God is still working in and through us and others to bring about healing and wholeness.  Giving thanks is about trusting that God is still present, still cares, and is still active, even if we can’t immediately see how that action is manifesting itself.  That kind of trust is what we call faith.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker: That is something we call “marriage” and when they come searching the Catholic Church will be there to help show the way.

Richard L. Floyd: The ancient prophets were like the “canaries in the coal mine” that warned of impending societal danger. They preached God’s righteous passion for justice, mercy and faith. Jesus echoes their words when he tells the good religious people of his time (and ours) not to neglect these weightier matters.

Leah D. Schade: It’s more likely that this man had cultivated his gratitude for many years.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker (17 Nov 17): I predict that this wave of accusations is going to lead to a new emphasis on morality in our society and that a new generation will be done with the sexual free for all and start looking for positive, life affirming, rules to help build good, solid life long partnerships.

Brat: Please start with honoring the ones you already have.

House of Destiny: If you were to take a poll and ask people what they feel matters most in life, what do you think they’d say?

Brat (in “Backstory” to Brian Simmons 16 Nov 17): What hurts more than anything is that there is no response to the sharing. Why do you not write me back as a real family would do? Please don’t hide behind your prophetic words.

Jennifer LeClaire: “Do not touch my anointed ones, and do no harm to my prophets” (Ps. 105:15). You’ve heard this Scripture bandied about by many in the body of Christ. Unfortunately, since the restoration of the prophetic movement we’ve seen this verse misused and abused as a weapon to bring fear of man on the saints.

Lance Wallnau: Ticktock! 50% Off Ends Tonight!

Journal (in “Christmas Tree Lot” 16 Nov 17): Today I am watching the fencing go up for the booster’s Christmas tree lot that takes up a good quarter of the library parking lot each year. I started working here on 01 Nov 2007. That was the first year I saw the trees go up. Now it’s 2017. That means that this is now my eleventh year of watching the trees go up. The trees are a marker in my life. They are a blessing in that they smell good. They are a sorrow in that they remind me that my circumstances haven’t changed in ten years, because no matter what I do or say or pray I cannot break the stronghold over Zebulun and Naphtali.

Lana Vawser: The Lord showed me in these NEW LANDS, the Lord showed me many being taken by Him into a room labelled “WHAT IS AVAILABLE TO YOU”. This room as some homely, so warm, so intimate, and the Father was inviting many into this room and in deep conversation, the Lord was beginning to explain to His children what is ACTUALLY AVAILABLE to them in Christ Jesus. He was bringing His people to a whole new level of faith, a new level of expectation, and a new level of dreaming. The people of God were moving higher, out of the chains of disappointment, weariness and heartsickness, into a place of ACCESSING in greater ways the inheritance that is theirs in Christ. The blessings that are theirs in Christ. The Father began to give them gift, after gift, after gift.

Journal (16 Nov 17): But Jane Hamon wrote this morning that Esther found favor with God and the king. I know I have favor with God. I pray for favor with the kings. I pray that I have spent that favor well and wisely with Brian Simmons this morning in “Backstory.” May he receive it in grace and hear my anchored voice and see God’s Holy Spirit working through it. I lay it at Your feet again, Lord, and breathe another prayer of reconciliation over the Churches. The testimony is for the Churches!

Verse of the Day (17 Nov 17): [ נ Nun ] Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. ~ Psalm 119:105

Lana Vawser: Don’t look to the left or to the right at other people’s lands. Know the Lord has tailormade this new land FOR YOU and you are going to LOVE IT!

Brat (16 Nov 17): It makes a HUGE difference when we have someone we can go to. And I’m not just talking about Jesus being our only Advocate.

Brian Simmons (16 Nov 17): I am calling home the sons and daughters that have forgotten Me. Many will be awakened by My mercy kiss before this year is over. You will see a waterfall of love bring my sons and daughters from afar. They will be restored with fresh passion to seek Me and to know Me. Your delight must be in finding them and loving them back into wholeness and dignity. You will remove loneliness from their hearts and see them restored. Even within your family there will be healing and grace as I recapture hearts and ignite their longings toward Me. You will be the healer of hearts and a restorer of families as I bring you higher in My ways. Give yourself to Me, forgive all who wound you, and I will work on your behalf and you will witness My victory before your eyes.

House of Destiny: There are so many things important to us, such as our good health or our financial security. What people are really most concerned about is the wholeness and welfare of their family. The family is the most important entity on the face of this earth, and more so, the family of God.

Rebecca Greenwood: “The Army of the Lord is Marching in Cadence”

Chuck D. Pierce: “A new cadence has formed in the heavens, and the sound of that cadence is beginning to invade the earth. Small or large, you must know that I will have an army that unites this hour. I must have an army that leads forth to cleanse the land. This army will rise up in My Spirit and prevent mounting evil from overtaking the earth.

Rebecca Greenwood: The past month, I have continued to hear and see this army again. But, the Lord is showing me it is a new season and I am seeing it in a new way. The army is standing in file and rank. They are fully awakened and they are marching in place, in step and in unity in a strong military cadence. In the vision, they are awaiting the announcement of their Commander-in-Chief to advance.

Journal (16 Nov 17): I pray we can develop a real familial relationship out of this outreach with Brian Simmons. I know I was firm with him when I said, “What hurts more than anything is that there is no response to the sharing. Why do you not write me back as a real family would do? Please don’t hide behind your prophetic words.”

Saying such blunt truth can go either way. It could leave me to rot some more in this forgotten wasteland because he would dismiss me like everyone else has done in Joseph’s prison, or it could go well and be received as a breath of fresh air to someone who may have yes-men surrounding him all the time to protect him from harsh realities.

O crap! [Head slap.]

I was honest and blunt with a publisher! The head honcho! The Chief Big Kahuna! What was I thinking?

[Sigh.] I wasn’t. I was following the Holy Spirit.

Rebecca Greenwood: What Does This Mean Personally?

Lance Wallnau (in “Cowgirl” 8 Nov 17): If you have a hook in you the enemy can use it to manipulate, intimidate and dominate you. People and circumstances, real or imaginary can jerk you around emotionally in multiple directions.

Brat: And you forgot to remember me to Pharaoh. You took your own dreams and went on your own merry way with them. You got what you wanted. You didn’t need to remember me.

[Chew lip.]

Judges 4:7 I will draw out Sisera, the general of Jabin’s army, to meet you by the Wadi Kishon with his chariots and his troops; and I will give him into your hand.'”

James Goll: Only with God-given discernment can we tell apart the good and evil influences that surround us. We often come up against what I call “demonic influences”. This influence is a spiritual force that twists and taints and pollutes God’s ways. It is like a spider web, and people get stuck in it. Writhing in their captivity, they act out of a “web mentality”.

Lance Wallnau: It’s Time To Put On Your Mantle

Pastor John Tolle: God helps us if we choose not to be defined by them [events] and tries to change our lip-service.

(^-^)~

Prayer: I’m listening, Lord. Get the books of the wars of the Lord into the hands of those to whom they belong. I give You thanks, Jesus, for showing us the way You want us to go.

Anna Blake: Do your cues take on the urgency and size of semaphore signals on an aircraft carrier? Maybe a little less training enthusiasm and a little more confidence in your own ability and your horse’s desire to align with your intention. Let it be easier.

Lance Wallnau: Do you ever say to yourself, “I’ve been here before”? Like you are running around in circles? The truth is, you’re not going in circles—you’re going in cycles. There’s a big difference.

Brat (in “Cowgirl” 15 Nov 17): So here we are at this point in the accursed cycle again. Yet again. From my vantage point I see them still buying and selling indulgences to fill their oil lamps. It all looks like foolishness to me.

Matthew 25:3 When the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them;

Dana Jarvis: Poverty is a curse. It is time for you to inform this curse that you do not accept its invitation. If you can believe God for your health, for your family and even for a job, you can believe him for financial blessings upon your life. Break this mindset and hold to the completed work of Jesus!

Brat: I have said for nine years now that I have made a vow with Jesus Christ and not with Lady Poverty. I don’t take the bait. Knock it off!

Bill Yount: I See Bear Rugs, Lion Furs and Giants’ Heads On Gold Platters

(^-^)~

Brat: Jesus, as You are my witness, I am stating today that I choose You. I do not serve the gods of my ancestors in the region beyond the River [Styx?] (would those gods be zombies?) or the gods of this land where I am living. (Joshua 24:15)

Jennifer LeClaire: Again in 1 Chronicles 16:22, we read: “Do not touch My anointed, And do My prophets no harm.” God saw to it that this principle was repeated in Scripture. We can’t gloss over this as it is the sure Word of God. So how do we rightly divide the word of truth?

Anna Blake: How horses and riders get stuck in the same place for long periods of time is that we don’t hold ourselves to conscious creativity in our equine conversations. We don’t progress because we unconsciously become repetitive naggers instead of scintillating conversationalists. If we believe that horses can read our minds in other situations, why would we have to resort to semaphore cues for something obvious and easy?

Bill Yount: We Do Bears, We Do Lions, And We Do Giants

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: Sanhedrin/Mount Zion Group Prepares Oil for Temple Menorah, Fulfilling Amos Prophecy on Jewish Land

Lance Wallnau: You see, you’re climbing the hill of the Lord.

Brat: Hey, Lance! Pastor John Tolle is leading corporate prayer on Saturday, 18 Nov 17 at 8 am at Conejo Creek Park North behind the Thousand Oaks Library if you’d like to come join us. I know it’s impossibly short notice, but I extend the invitation anyway.

Anna Blake: It’s possible they won’t give us the answer we want immediately. It might be confusion or a lack of confidence but don’t give into doubt. It’s up to us to find a quiet way to ask, or cut the task into smaller pieces and be grateful for every tiny effort. Successive approximation.

Lance Wallnau: The Mount Zion Mantle: Reach Your Next Level

Anna Blake (in “Be Silent” 14 Nov 17): To begin just do a smaller circle inside of a larger one. Let this spiral have a chance to blossom as your horse gets more supple. If you are on the trail, plan a path using huge half-circle arcs instead of straight lines. Ride with your legs. Ask for slow, long strides, giving your horse time to step under. Stay mentally engaged; ride with energy and practice your own internal focus by feeling each step. Know that he is gaining strength from the inside out. Be patient. Think of coiling the spring, think T’ai Chi for horses.

Chuck D. Pierce: Look! See! The Season Has Changed!

Lana Vawser: The Lord spoke to me recently from Psalm 60:6-7: “Then I heard the Lord speak in His holy splendor. From His sanctuary I heard the Lord promise: “In my triumph I will be the one to measure out the portion of my inheritance to my people, and I will secure the land as I promised you.” – The Passion Translation

Brat: Have you been talking to Brian Simmons of the Passion Translation? I know you two are friends.

Lance Wallnau: Psalm 105 says that the Lord sent and released Joseph from his prison. Almost overnight, Joseph began to teach the king’s princes and elders wisdom— but his rise began the night from he was first rejected by his brothers. After he was set free, he made that final cycle into his high calling. In my teaching the Mount Zion Mantle I go over how you can shift your perspective on where you are in your cycle and how the call of God will take you up the mountain of God.

Chuck D. Pierce: “What you looked at and thought was the mountain will be the mountain no more. What you looked at and saw as ocean will be ocean no more. What you have held on to, to be removed and parted, will not be there in days ahead. Look and see how I have changed things, because change is before you.

Anna Blake: In that quiet moment, can you see a small change in his eye? Does his poll soften? In the past you may have thought he was dawdling or resisting the cue, but looking closer now, do see his intelligence? Reward that; connect with the action of him using his mind.

Chuck Pierce: “Get ready, because what once was…is no more, and what is…has now become new. How you receive and embrace this new move will depend on your relationship with My Spirit. I am arising from My Throne. I am walking roads and pathways in the heavenlies and yet in the earth. I am rejoicing over My Bride. I am creating and expanding new pathways.

Bill Yount: “Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us.  Fear them not.”  Numbers 14:9 (KJV)

Lance Wallnau: God is constantly moving you, by victory and even setback, into the place where we will be in proximity to the gates of influence in order to transform the culture. That’s what this series is all about.

Lana Vawser: “If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what is best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask Him?” (The Passion Translation)

Anna Blake: If you believe that horses are sentient, then I challenge you to communicate with him that way. Mentor with your body, notice your own energy. Suggest rather than demand. And you know you should be breathing more.

Brat: [Sigh.] Is it too much to ask for Brian Simmons of the Passion Translation to become a pen pal with me?

Chuck Pierce: “Don’t fight the old battle of the wilderness, but come and see the victory of the promise. Deal with each giant fresh and anew, because what you thought was a giant is a giant no longer. Awaken, and you will see and hear a sound that your heart has longed for, but your brain has been unable to receive. There was a crackling in the old sound, but I am bringing forth a clear sound that you cannot mistake for a tinkling cymbal.

Brat: Would that giant be you? I loved ya, y’know. Like a mama bear. Or?

(^-^)~

Dorothy of Oz: Lions and tigers and bears, O my!

Brat: Alright! Paws on the mat! This is my beef: The Funny Bunnies don’t write me back. That’s a common courtesy. If they do write back a couple of lines, it happens maybe once every three months. All the rest of the time, day after day, is glaring SILENCE. I’d understand this if we lived during the times of the Gold Rush when communication was slow, but we live in the Age of Technology. How would you feel if your tent revivals remained perpetually attended year after year by one or two birds that St Francis had preached to? How would you feel if you got no support and yet there was always more fighting and betrayal, followed by denial, but you KNEW that God had called you? You KNEW you couldn’t and didn’t make this stuff up. And yet there you are trying to reconcile differences even in the midst of all the fighting? You say, “Don’t fight the old battles” but there was never any closure on the old battles. We cannot move on without closure.

Maybe you took what I said as disrespect. I donno. I certainly didn’t mean it that way. I have no control over how anyone receives the word. I only know I must ‘share the journey’ as God dictates per my mission mandate.

Elijah List: Bob & Bonnie Jones – Did You Learn to Love?

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: 4,000 Year Old Assyrian Marriage Contract Mirrors Biblical Abraham and Hagar

Brat: Hagar heard.

Steve Shultz: Can’t You Talk Louder, God

Genesis 16: 13 She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

Brat: Steve, Jesus told the Seven Churches to hear what the Spirit said. How can we hear if we’re not listening?

Steve Shultz: When Chuck Pierce speaks I listen…period!

Anna Blake: The idea of allowing a horse autonomy, the freedom to volunteer, requires a suspension of disbelief. It means that you extend trust… not that they won’t hurt you but trust that they are smart and can answer the question. Giving the cue louder doesn’t make it more understandable. It just adds more anxiety. Ask quietly, with confidence in both of you. Then rather than doing the task, give him the time and support to figure it out. You get to pick the topic and he gets to pick the time.

Bill Yount: I hear the Father asking, “How hungry are you? When you get hungry enough, you get to eat giants! The giants aren’t showing up to take you out, they’re showing up so you can eat them.  Eat your giants today. They are your nourishment.  They are your bread and sustenance.  Giants are the breakfast of champions.”

Pastor Steve Dittmar: Cindy Jacobs Coming Thanksgiving Weekend—Sunday Nov. 26th, 6 pm

Rebecca Greenwood: We are in an Issachar season to know the Issachar anointing we are to move in. Even when others might not go with you (through the doors in the new season) stay close to Him. Be with the Lord as Elisha was to Elijah. When Elijah knew he was being taken up, Elisha repeatedly told Elijah, “I will not leave you!” When the translations of these words are looked at closely, Elisha spoke in a language that can almost be translated into the following phrase, “You cannot get rid of me, I am stuck to you like glue!”

Anna Blake: Trust your horse can be a true partner and not a minion. Let him rise to the occasion and feel pride in himself. Trust his intelligence because his species has survived for thousands of years. Celebrate that intellect as a thing that you both share.

Where? 7 Nov 17

8 Nov

Tuesday, November 7, 2017 to Wednesday, November 8, 2017

[12 pages]

Melissa Nordell: Joseph must have been praying for his family while in Egypt, even though he had no way of knowing what had happened to them. He had to have been thinking about them, wondering if his Hebrew ancestors were able to survive and where they had gone—especially his adored father. Maybe Joseph had given up at times. Maybe he even got mad at God for his circumstances. These times of wilderness can be very humbling…if one does not give up entirely. After the time of famine reached a critical point, God sent Joseph’s brothers into Pharaoh’s land at the perfect time when Joseph was ready to receive them and with humility.

Brat (05 Nov 17): There are times when one’s gift of being invisible does not work to one’s advantage. Jo recently asked me what my goal was growing up. I said, “To be invisible.” I really wanted people to leave me alone. I didn’t want to be poked, yelled at, molested, and tortured anymore. I just wanted quiet to think and pray. So, I practiced the art of making myself invisible. Sometimes it worked so well (to my disadvantage) that in the carpool the parents would forget I was in the backseat and say with a frown, “Oh, you’re still here?”

Anna Blake: Peek

Did he want to be invisible? As still

as wood, his head holds solitude in

the corner. This bay gelding does not

have a lightning bolt blaze on his face

or tall white stockings that pull my eye.

His coat the color of honey in tea, his

mane and tail a shade darker. He is

elegance in understatement. Close enough

to touch, I’m greedy feel his warmth, to

run my fingers though the texture of his

mane. But I stand away. His body is not

mine. My eye travels the flawless arc of

his neck to his ear, fully aware of all

that I am, have been, could be. At last

to his eye, cautiously on guard. So still,

so unmoving and exquisitely profound in

his silence, that I exhale my jangling desire

to show him courtesy. Let the air hang in

peace. I will wait for the acknowledgement

that is his to give, not mine to take.

Wisdom of Solomon 6:12 Wisdom is radiant and unfading, and she is easily discerned by those who love her, and is found by those who seek her.

Elijah List: Steve Shultz: “Like an answer to my prayers”

Brat: Where to share?

Wisdom of Solomon 6:13 She hastens to make herself known to those who desire her.

Joel Yount: I feel an obligation to send out this quick email to tell you that if you see or hear something in the spirit realm and you believe it is from the Lord please tell someone!

Monk: I have been saying something! I get no response.

James Goll: Why Is Satan Picking on You?

Brat: Holy God, connect me to Your tribe.

Where to share?

Rick Joyner: Right at the peak of this persecution, Columbus discovered America. That “the earth opened” (literal translation) and swallowed the flood of persecution is an accurate description of what happened. Almost immediately the political and religious powers of Europe turned their attention from eradicating “heretics” and began to focus on the potential for wealth and conquest in the Americas.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.

James Goll: Focus yourself on the Lord and His commands—instead of distraction. What was the last thing the Lord told you to do? Are you doing it?

Brat: Just yesterday (06 Nov 17) Jesus kept repeating, “Focus on Me.”

James Goll: When we are waiting for a particular promise to be fulfilled, the more time that passes the more easily we can get distracted. A helpful antidote is to focus on the Lord himself, and then actually do what He has already instructed you to do. I am reminded of Jehoshaphat’s petition to the Lord when the enemy was coming against him in 2 Chronicles 20:12, “O our God, will You not render judgment on them? For we have not strength enough to stand before this great army that is coming against us. And we do not know what we should do, but our eyes are on You.”

William H. Armstrong: Prayer
Our broken hearts are so painful, God, but we are confident that you can heal them. We give you thanks for hearts that are mended and ask your mercy for those that are still hurting. Amen.

Pastor Gary Dunahoo: We have been adopted!!! Not based on our doings but simply on Gods love!!!

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Thus, the Torah concludes its account of these 12 sons by stating, “They fell in the presence of their brethren.” Even the balanced life of health, relationships and work that is devoid of inner meaning, might ultimately fail, because it lacks the oxygen of depth that keeps the person inspired and motivated to live well, and to ensure that the steps are channeled for the right purposes, not for futile or detrimental objectives.

Charisma: If You Need Inspiration, You Can Get It Here.

Matthew 25:9 But the wise replied, ‘No! there will not be enough for you and for us; you had better go to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’

CNA Daily News: Speaking during his Nov. 5 Angelus address, Pope Francis told pilgrims that “a frequent defect in those who have authority, whether it is civil or ecclesiastical authority, is to demand from others things, even justly, but which they do not put into practice firsthand. They lead a double life.”

Doug Addison: The tears of people who were weeping for the loss of Lazarus moved Jesus to tears and ultimately raised His friend from the dead. Tears can change the spiritual atmosphere and bring amazing miracles.

Bob Thompson: “Elijah was a man just like us.  He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.  Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops” – James 5:17-18

Rabbi YY Jacobson (in “But As For Me” 03 Nov 17): Similarly, this is true with Judaism. At the age of 13 or 12, the young Jew is “drafted” into the “adult army” of the Jewish people. Now we must begin training—and that takes time, trial, error and repetition till you get it right. In the famous expression of the Talmud, “the Torah was not given to angels!” It was given to humans, and humans need time and effort to master a new life style and get it right. That necessary “training time” is part and parcel of the very mitzvah. When the Torah tells the 13-year-old, “start performing all of the mitzvos,” it means: Begin the process. The time you will need to purchase your items, to master the practices, to learn the nuances, and to perfect your performance, that is all included in the package.

Elijah List Exclusives – Can’t Get These Anywhere Else

Pastor Gary Dunahoo: Matthew 4:5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

Pope: Those in authority can’t live a ‘double life,’ must lead by example.

Steve Shultz: God takes our tears and prayers as incense up to Him. ALL YOUR TEARS are kept in His heart for times of refreshing like the time that is upon us now, starting in November.

Matthew 25:12 But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I do not know you.’

CNA Daily News: However, if it is exercised badly, “it becomes oppressive, it does not allow people to grow and it creates a climate of mistrust and hostility and even brings corruption.”

Phyllis Ford: “There have been high-level meetings in the US, behind closed doors. As a result, things have been set in motion. As things unfold, everything will seemingly go in one direction, but by the time it is concluded, the victory will be recovered and those who were appearing to ‘have the advantage’ will be the ones that will be ‘put in check.’ For I am moving in this time to release My righteous judgments in the land and deal with those who have been smug and arrogant with their own power, and their influence will be humbled by My mighty hand.

Wisdom of Solomon 6:15 To fix one’s thought on her [Wisdom] is perfect understanding, and one who is vigilant on her account will soon be free from care

Doug Addison: Over the next few months, dishonest deeds will be exposed everywhere. God is calling us to a new level and it will require honesty. Be sure to repent and bring matters under the Blood of Jesus and things will be okay for you.

CNA Daily News: When speaking to the Christians in the day’s reading, Pope Francis noted how Jesus gives his disciples some specific instructions, telling them to “Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called ‘Master’; you have but one master, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant.”

William H. Armstrong: And sing we may, and should, to let the world know about the God who heals. St. Francis said: “What else are the servants of God, but God’s minstrels, whose work it is to lift up people’s hearts to spiritual joy, that they might love God gladly.”

CNA Daily News: As disciples of Jesus, Christians “shouldn’t look for titles of honor, authority or supremacy,” he said, adding that it pains him personally “to see people who psychologically live running behind the vanity of honors.”

Bob Thompson: How, exactly, was Elijah “just like us?”  Certainly Elijah was a fellow human subject to the same emotional and spiritual needs as we have, but there’s more.

James Goll: The enemy always tries to thwart the plans of God. Even with his partial knowledge, he knows when someone is destined for greatness. In a similar way, the enemy hits desperately hard when a specific miracle is leaving the hand of God. When you make an effort to take a stand, the degree and intensity of spiritual warfare could be proportional to the territory that you are about to possess.

Phyllis Ford: “I will remove these evil foundations, and I will destroy that which does not represent My plan. I will set forth a new strength and a new glory, which will deal with the works of darkness and it will set in order the new course by which you should go.

Richard L. Floyd: Prayer
Save us from being hypocrites, O God. Grant us a passion like yours for justice, mercy and faith.

Rick Joyner: The symbol of America was also to become the eagle, as the prophecy refers to “the wings of a great eagle” were given to the woman. So this seems to be an accurate prophecy of how America would become the refuge for persecuted Christians that it has become.

Me (in “Sardis” 06 Nov 17): I’m in a holding pattern right now, just circling on the air currents while I wait on the priests who have their feet in the Jordan and carry the Ark of the Covenant before us…

CNA Daily News: “We disciples of Jesus must not do this, but rather, there should be a simple and fraternal attitude among us,” he said, explaining that as Christians, “we are all brothers and we must in no way overwhelm others and look down on them from above. No.”

Joshua 24:21 And the people said to Joshua, “No, we will serve the LORD!”

Rick Joyner: Just as the prophecy quoted above states [Revelation 12:13-17], the devil was still enraged after the flood he had poured out was swallowed, and he went after the rest of the offspring of the woman. For centuries, Europe suffered almost continual religious wars and persecutions. Even though the diabolical cruelty and span of the Inquisition was never repeated, the brutal religious intolerance continued. This fortified in those who had fled to America a devotion to religious liberty and tolerance that is a cornerstone of all other freedoms.

Pastor Gary Dunahoo: WE FIND OUR IDENTITY IN THE WATER!! – Isrealites leaving Egypt… known as slaves but God was giving them a new identity that gave them strength to press through the wilderness – Woman at the well! JESUS IS THE WATER

Joshua 24:24 The people said to Joshua, “The LORD our God we will serve, and him we will obey.”

CNA Daily News: Neither should a Christian consider themselves superior to others, he said, adding that a healthy dose of modesty “is essential for an existence that wants to be conformed to the teaching of Jesus, who is meek and humble of heart and came not to be served, but to serve.”

Richard L. Floyd: The “good religious people” in any age are always at risk of such hypocrisy. It is easy to go eagerly to church to get our souls manicured while walking by the beggar at our gate. Easier still to let the societal systems that put the beggar there unchallenged.

Charisma: Do You Struggle With Forgiveness?

Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy it, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went with him into the wedding banquet; and the door was shut.

Rick Joyner: Some of the nations that wanted to get rid of their non-Catholic citizens—but were appalled by the cruelty and horrors of the Inquisition—offered to send those citizens as colonists to the new world. So the persecuted fled to the “new world” as colonists, which at the time certainly fulfilled the description of being a “wilderness.”

Amos 5:22 Even though you offer Me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the offerings of well-being of your fatted animals I will not look upon.

James Goll: The truth of the situation is that the devil is mighty jealous of you. Who do you think you are, giving glory to God, surrendering yourself to Him as your Father and Lord—and resisting evil at every turn?

Richard L. Floyd: The ancient prophets were like the “canaries in the coal mine” that warned of impending societal danger. They preached God’s righteous passion for justice, mercy and faith. Jesus echoes their words when he tells the good religious people of his time (and ours) not to neglect these weightier matters.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: First, you must be driven to embark on a new and novel path, the road less traveled. You must overcome the fear of failure and be ready to take risks and break new ground. Fear not to be original and creative.

Matthew 25:7 Then all those bridesmaids got up and trimmed their lamps.

William H. Armstrong: The brokenhearted, when they are healed, make good minstrels.

CNA Daily News: Pope Francis closed his address asking Mary intercede for us so as “to avoid pride and vanity, and to be meek and docile to the love which comes from God for the service of our brothers and sisters, and for their joy, which will also be ours.”

Brat: Holy God, where to share?

Phyllis Ford: This is a month that will carry a great uncovering of the plans of men behind closed doors. Before this month is over, we will know about several conspiracies that many imagined, theorized and even felt prophetically. We will see the uncovering of agreements that were conspired, strategized and then played out, and hidden in plain sight before the people. However, the Lord said there is about to be a major reality-check as the enemy continues to move towards more cover-ups.

Bob Thompson: First, Elijah struggles with his significance. If you have felt set aside, overlooked, marginalized, abandoned in the wilderness, undervalued, made far more vulnerable and needy than you’re comfortable with, Elijah is just like you.

Brat (in “Sardis” 06 Nov 17): Lord? Would sharing this piece help Your people? My confidence is shattered right now. I don’t know squat. I had thought of Revelation 3 and Sardis when I first heard about the shooting in Texas. Now this rabbi seems to be confirming. That’s my take on it anyway. This morning I had told Dad that getting gunned down in a church, synagogue, temple, or mosque is the worst. One expects to find sanctuary there of all places.

Bob Thompson: Second, Elijah is up and down. He can soar to the heights of courageous confrontation on Mt. Carmel and cringe in Gilead Valley.  He doesn’t seem to know why his own passions rise and fall.

Brat (in “Sardis” 06 Nov 17): …I had just posted to Spirit Fuel this morning to Lori Suiter’s word “A Holy Battle Plan for Your Words” and I asked “Where to share?” I feel stripped and empty. I didn’t even share my piece called “But As For Me…”. Where to share? I’ve shared my pieces with four or five people this week and I heard nothing back but more Arc Speak. It’s all take, take, take.

Bob Thompson: Third, Elijah doesn’t always get God. God takes care of Elijah in the wilderness, but the way and the timing of God’s provision surprises him.  Just like Elijah, you can’t plan around what God will do and when he’ll do it.  You have to let God be God and trust him.

Brat: Where to share?

Richard L. Floyd: He told them, “You strain gnats and swallow camels!”

Brat: Salaam.

CNA Daily News: Quoting the day’s Gospel passage, the Pope said the scribes and Pharisees “tie up heavy burdens hard to carry and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them.”

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Massa, which literally means “a burden,” symbolizes the third step which is effective in developing balanced and long-term relationships, namely, patience and tolerance, the ability to tolerate and contain the burdens of another human being, though they may be flawed and imperfect.

Bob Thompson: I am particularly intrigued by the last mention of Elijah in the Bible. Teaching on how to make prayer effective and powerful, Jesus’ brother writes, “Elijah was a man just like us” (James 5:17-18).

Brat: You have a closet to pray in and I don’t. James talked a lot about hypocrisy, too.

Richard L. Floyd: What Jesus condemned them for was that they had a skewed focus on what was truly important to God. Yes, they kept the religious law down to the smallest detail, but they neglected what Jesus called “the weightier matters.” In their preoccupation with rules and rituals they were forgetting God’s passion for justice and mercy, and his call to faith, not religious observance.

CNA Daily News: This attitude “is a bad exercise of authority,” which ought to have strength in offering a good example, rather than a show of power, he said.

Rick Joyner: There probably would not be a legitimate historian that would not agree that the worst Christian persecution in history came during the Inquisition in Europe at the end of the Middle Ages. Halley’s Bible Handbook and other histories estimate that as many as 50 million people who refused to bow the knee to the papacy were martyred during that time. They were not just martyred, but tortured. As we read in Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, and other such accounts, the most grotesque tortures were used in the Inquisition. The devil let loose with “great wrath” is an appropriate description of this most terrible time in history.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died.

Melissa Nordell: Joseph was such a one, who must have thought his dreams were over while in captivity in Egypt. Realize that he must have wondered about that prophetic dream about his brothers bowing down to him. “Did I hear right? Did circumstances change God’s original plan for my life? Maybe I was too haughty for my own good and God will not be able to use me,” were all questions he might have posed to himself. However, that was only a time of dormancy to the seeing eye above the surface.

Richard L. Floyd: Jesus was quick to spot religious hypocrisy. The Pharisees have got a bad name because of Jesus’ criticisms of them, but in truth they were the ones Jesus had the most affinity for. They were serious, pious and scrupulous keepers of Torah.

Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Dumah means silence. The second step toward creating a good relationship consists of the ability to remain silent. Your must not always feel that you need to respond to your wife’s criticism; or don’t always have to give an answer to a question asked. Remain silent. You won’t perish if you don’t shoot a response out of your hip; your silence may even grant you unexpected insight. Successful people do a lot more listening than talking.

Richard L. Floyd: Given his constant critique of such misplaced focus it is tragically ironic how much hypocrisy goes on today in Jesus’s name. Of course it is always easier to spot a religious hypocrite when you are not looking in the mirror.

CNA Daily News: Real authority “is born from the good example, in order to help others practice what is right and proper, supporting them in the trials that they encounter on the path of good,” Francis said, explaining that authority ultimately ought to be used to help people.

Amos 5:18 Alas for you who desire the day of the LORD! Why do you want the day of the LORD? It is darkness, not light

Phyllis Ford: “These were all connected to the cover-ups and they were corrupted to the core. The hands that were a part of it did it because they were determined to benefit from it. But great will be their fall and many will come to understand that My justice will be established in the midst of their so-called justice, and the actions of these men will be uncovered and diminished.”

James Goll: As we engage in struggle after struggle, not only are we subjugating Satan, we are also being transformed, individually and as a body. The whole church is in metamorphosis, becoming a new creation in Christ, growing and maturing and overcoming the darkness of the old regime.

Me (07 Nov 17): I feel like Satan is blocking access to my basic needs. He has no right to do that. Get behind me, Satan! In the Name of Jesus I claim my life back! I am Christ’s Bride and you have no legal right to my life.

James Goll: Do you sometimes feel as if the enemy has painted a bull’s-eye on you? What did you do to attract his unwelcome attention? I have acquired a redemptive perspective on why I have gone through so many battles. Well, let me share some of the insights I have learned along the way.

Lovesick Scribe: It is not uncommon for the Holy Spirit to speak to me and to share things with me that are on the Father’s heart. It is unusual, however, to hear something triggered by a random memory of a movie seen years ago. While in prayer recently, I had a fleeting thought about a scene in a western I had seen years ago. It was a pivotal point in the movie, and the statement struck fear into the heart of the villain. But then I heard the Lord reword the statement. He said, “Tell the devil that you are coming, and heaven is coming with you.”

Revelation 19: 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: A human life needs meaning. When we are devoid of inner purpose, it is extremely difficult to maintain these 12-steps which require discipline and focus. At some point you ask yourself, what is the purpose of it all?

Brat (in “Rump Roast” 31 Oct 17): So, after all this banter [Babel] over all these years, you still have sanctuary while you wait on God, so why can’t I? Having sanctuary doesn’t mean the battle to take down the devil’s kingdom will stop. The battle will continue until every knee bows to Jesus Christ as Lord.

Dennis Easter: You’re looking for God’s purpose. You want to stay in gratitude from the sigh of relief, but this sigh of regret is that you haven’t gotten there yet. What you are experiencing is a deep yearning of what you cannot get. Someone or something has been lost, unavailable, or distant.

Brat: I don’t think you understand. I’ve got purpose. God commissioned me to this calling and to write these conversations. I simply have no sanctuary where I can write and share in peace. You have sanctuary, so why can’t I?

James Goll: Delay, deceit, distraction and disappointment—each one of these tactics is slow-acting. You may not recognize them at first. Sometimes it seems that Satan is more patient than you are as he encroaches on your peace, inch by inch. He cannot derail you instantly, although it may seem abrupt when it happens.

Charisma: When Fear Creeps into Your Life…

Matthew 25:5 As the bridegroom was delayed, all of them became drowsy and slept.

CNA Daily News: If we have received certain qualities or authority from God, then we must put these at the service of others, the Pope said, rather than trying to take advantage of them “for our own interests and personal satisfaction.”

Psalm 70:5 But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay!

Jo (7 Nov 17): Rob thought you were being harassed.

Me: Did you?

Jo: Yes, not openly, but pushing at your right to be there. You clearly are not homeless and to approach you with suspicion is insulting.

Me: Thank you. These encounters with the cops always stir up such spiritual storms in me! They steal whatever peace I’ve managed to lasso and then the Funny Bunnies kick open old wounds to see if they’ve healed. Today even my assignment is in question. I’m anchoring in God even while I tremble. This will pass.

Jo: Yes, it will. God is powerful in His love. You are anchored in His love. There is no one who can question this. No one.

Matthew 25:6 But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look! Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’

CNA Daily News: He noted how in day’s Gospel reading from Matthew, Jesus, whose death is drawing nearer, offers “serious critiques” of the scribes, and at the same time leaves “important signs” for Christians not just of that time, but of all times, including us today.

(To Sardis)

Revelation 3:Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.

…It’s just like the Church, “Well, read the signs!”

Why respond when the signs are self-explanatory?

Matthew 16:1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.

He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.

Brat: I was just asking for more information! And yet I felt like I was Rahab in a house of spies.

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: “Terror that penetrates into a house of prayer is a cruel and terrible terror, a terror that seeks to cut down the faithful lives of innocent people,” said Rabbi Eckstein in a statement.

James Goll: I like to think that our ongoing struggle is a sign of life, and proof that we have not been conquered. The Lord of life is waging warfare through us. Our efforts are—or should be—springing from the centrality of the Son of God in our personal lives.

Brat: Does that mean that to keep our story alive I can never have a real prayer closet and have to stay in my old station wagon that just clocked over 153,000 miles?

Bob Thompson: Finally, Elijah’s identity is his security. In Hebrew, Elijah’s name means “My God is Yahweh.” You may not literally share that name, but as a believer you can share his sense of security.  Every twist in Elijah’s journey forced him to decide whether he would trust the gods of this world or the God who creates and calls and rules.

CNA Daily News: Jesus, Francis noted, tells his disciples to listen to the scribes and the Pharisees say, because they have the authority to teach on the law, but not to imitate what they do, because “they preach but they do not practice.”

Matthew 25:13 Keep awake therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

Rabbi Yosef Y. Jacobson: Mishmah means to listen, to pay heed to. You must cultivate the skill to truly listen to another human being.

Joshua 24:22 Then Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the LORD, to serve him.” And they said, “We are witnesses.”

Phyllis Ford: “I will bring down the high tree and exalt the low tree and I will uncover all things. That which was set up by the enemy, will be reversed,” says the Lord. “So when you witness what is about to occur, do not be dismayed nor intimidated because there will be change and a turning. A turning, an awakening and a ruling in the midst of the ruling—and I will have My way. I will determine the fate of those who have been in power. I will have My way and My word will be the last word,” says the Lord.

Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz: He emphasized the need for interfaith support at this time. “In such difficult moments, all members of the Jewish and Muslim faith must transcend the gaps and condemn any attack, in order to ensure that such shocking events will not recur again,” the rabbi added.

Brat (05 Nov 17): What would Gabriel Allon do? [Ref: Daniel Silva’s House of Spies]

Holy God, please heal my heart. I keep praying for Your friends and they keep ripping out my heart.

Richard Floyd was right, You loved the Pharisees.

Just as Jo said on Friday, “I love him AND at the same time I don’t care.”

Patheos: What would Jesus Do?

Brat (06 Nov 17): On one hand I’m glad someone reads me, but on the other hand I hate this house of spies that I am in. I am not grateful for this holocaust, but I am grateful that Jesus is with me and He is directing my steps. He IS directing my steps, damnit! He IS, I say!

[Foot stomp.]

Bob Thompson: Elijah is one of the most theatrical and mysterious figures in the Bible.  His miracles are dramatic and memorable, but he appears and disappears in the biblical narrative like Endora from Bewitched.  He’s confrontational, eccentric, and moody.  He’s remembered most for a bold stand against Baal, but the next day he didn’t think his life was worth living.

Rabbi YY Jacobson: Ishmael’s twelve-steps capture an important but superficial layer of existence. It tells us how to live within the rhythms of nature and biology. It does not address our sense that there is something at the core of nature which transcends it. For this we have the names of another twelve tribes, the twelve sons of Jacob, whose names represent the blue print for living not only a fine and balanced life, but also living with the Divine, with the mysterious core of reality.

Pastor Gary Dunahoo: MY CORE IDENTITY: I am a child of God and he is proud of me

Rabbi YY Jacobson: When we reflect on these 12 steps, we notice that one crucial element – perhaps the most important element — is missing from Ishmael’s impressive list. This is the component of meaning.

Pastor Gary Dunahoo: Stop looking to other things to find love… LOVE is JESUS

Brat: [Hands on (ample) hips.] I said I need a prayer closet. I’ve been asking for one for ten years!

Moshe Yaakov Wisnefsky: Abraham demonstrated how an integral part of hospitality is for hosts to be attentive to their guests’ feelings, aside from their physical needs. Although escorting a guest does benefit him materially, it is primarily a symbolic gesture of reluctance to part, serving to assuage the guest’s apprehension over having imposed on his host.

CNA Daily News: On Sunday Pope Francis offered some punchy advise to both average faithful and people in positions of authority, saying true power is expressed through service and a good example, which Christians must always show to others in humility.

Wisdom of Solomon 6:16 because she goes about seeking those worthy of her, and she graciously appears to them in their paths, and meets them in every thought.

Bob Thompson: Elijah’s story was preserved and passed down to us precisely because he’s “just like us,” and yet God directed and used Elijah in unusual ways.  That encourages me to believe God can call and use someone like me.

Doug Addison: The Lord has not forgotten your tears, and all of your prayers have been placed in a scroll or book in Heaven. These books are now being reconciled and this will bring the changes that we all have been crying out for.

James Goll: In the book of Numbers, I found this interesting phrase: “Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord …” (Num. 21:14, MEV). What is this book? The Book of the Wars of the Lord is not part of the canon of Scripture, nor are several other books that are mentioned in the Bible, such as the “book of remembrance” (Mal. 3:16) or the “book of tears” (Ps. 56:8). Perhaps we can construe the Book of the Wars of the Lord to be a book that has not yet been finished—and that we ourselves can help to complete as we engage the enemy, one skirmish at a time.

Rick Joyner: In America, the church was also “nourished” just as the prophecy said. In much of Europe, it was still illegal, and even carried the death penalty, to be caught with a Bible. In America, both Bibles and literacy were widely promoted, and therefore the church in America became strong in the Lord and in His Word. This ultimately led to America becoming a center for new Christian movements and the recovery of biblical Christianity. For nearly three hundred years, America has been a center of Christian influence for the world.

Matthew 25:11 Later the other bridesmaids came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’

Brat (05 Nov 17): I am a broken unit; one sick puppy. I am sorry that I mistrusted my friends. I am really grinding in this cosmic Silence without a tribe. The longer it grinds on the more intense the pressure and the torture becomes. Just having friends is not the same as having a tribe. The Great They love to talk about our spheres of influence and I honestly don’t know whom I influence. That’s not false humility talking, that’s gut-wrenching sobbing.

Doug Addison: A new sound will come—the “loud noise” as they gather will break open the gates and restraints will fall off you. A “breakout” power and anointing is coming and the Lord is going to open a new gate in the spirit starting in November. Those who have felt they are in prison or being held back are going to have a sudden prison-break experience.

Melissa Nordell: You didn’t ask to be called back up into the war. It’s your Commander-in-Chief who has sent His orders and is calling you. He has need of you. He has need of your gifts and training at this critical time. But it is only the humble that can stand in this war—the last push.

James Goll: For each of us, the combat will not be over until the day we die. Born in the midst of battle and born for battle, we are following our Commander-in-Chief, whose mission was to destroy the works of the devil. We are not warring against our spouses, our children, our bosses or our pastors. We are battling against besetting spiritual forces of wickedness.

Phyllis Ford: We, as leaders, will be poured out so that the fullness of purpose will come forth. In the unfolding of what we have been warned about, that which has not changed will be exposed. We must be responsible for our actions. He will bring down the high tree and exalt the low tree. The spirit of pride and celebrity will be addressed from now through March 2018 in a big way. Those who will walk in humility and compassion will touch many and it will give way to a beautiful time of openness and walking in transparency as a people of truth and righteousness.

Brat: So, you’re saying I have to stay in my car and pray through another winter?

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call and with the sound of God’s trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

William H. Armstrong: But then I hear playing over and over that reassuring verse: “God heals the brokenhearted.” God heals. We say that time heals, and often it does. And some good people bring healing with their care and compassion. Those are, I think, things God uses to heal. But sometimes too God’s healing comes silently, gradually, surprisingly, graciously, as an unseen gift from above. And the heart we thought was beyond repair is made whole again. In whatever way the healing comes, with a mended heart and joy restored, we are able to say “it is good to sing praise to our God.”

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever.

Bob Thompson: Prayer
Holy Spirit, on my best days and my worst days, help me to remember you are with me to guide and change me.  Amen.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Brat: Where to share? Still no one has yet indicated they cared to have the whole story.
