Kathryn Hauser’s Reflection for 7 After Epiphany on 23 February 2014
My best friend said this week:
“Sometimes you just have to shatter the energy to create new space. Healing space.”
Doesn’t “shattering energies” have to do with what Jesus said?
Mt 5:39 But I say to you, Do not resist an evildoer. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also
The way I see it, resisting an evildoer only puts him on the defensive. Not resisting him (but taking the issue to God instead,) shatters the energies:
Mt 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
That definitely shifts the energies to create new space! We are told to be HOLY out of reverence for God. (2 Cor 7:1) And the Lord told Moses to speak this to all the congregation and not just to the Remnant, the “die hards,” the likes of which Bruce Willis would be proud.
Lev 19:1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

19:2 Speak to all [!] the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them: You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.
Moses spoke to the assembly and St Paul made it personal:
1 Cor 3:16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

3:17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Our resurrected Jesus then brought the message forward to the messianic Remnant. He didn’t outright use the word “holy” in this but that is the gist:
Rev 22:14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes [who have been purified through their ordeals and have been made holy], that they may have the right to the tree of Life and may go through the gates into the city.
The Remnant theme then arcs back to the Old Testament and Joshua leading the people to take the city of Jericho when they entered the Promised Land as they came out of their wilderness wanderings. (Joshua 5-6) (Are you catching the washing flow of the rhythm of the message back and forth across time, eras, generations, places, themes, and people?)
Now arc with me to last Sunday.

“Freedom is a prerequisite for a true relationship. – Rick Joyner”
Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 10:21 am Me to Rick: Dear Rick, please take this to the Lord, so that He can show you the freedom of the full depth and range of a true relationship He is trying to coordinate amongst His people. Look through His eyes, and not your own. ~k
Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 11:32 am Dear Rick, I just did what I asked you to do: to take “Freedom” to the Lord so He could show me the freedom of the full depth and range of a true relationship He is trying to coordinate amongst His people. Freedom means different things to different people. I tried to look through His eyes and not my eyes or your eyes. (Compassion is such a pisser! In some ways compassion is far worse than apathy!) I stared at
Rev 2: 28 I will also give that one the morning star.
Then it dawned on me that you are not the one who gives in this sentence. It is a stand-alone verse. The morning star is a connector point in the star cluster of angels to whom Jesus had addressed. Freedom for morning star is not giving of itself on this leg of the journey, but of connecting its resources to the greater network in the constellation of Churches and prophets.
How’s that for a “true relationship?” ~k
Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 11:30 am From Doc Jesse [a reader]:
Kathryn, What the heck are you saying? Rick’s statement is a truism. Freedom is mandatory for a relationship with God and with others too. Otherwise control of others would be the plan. Control sucks pond water.
Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 11:48 am Yes, Doc, Rick’s statement IS a truism, and it seems like every time I move from the personal to Truth in my Reflections, Rick comes back with a truism on Freedom. But the Truth is within us, and Morning Star is a connector for Freedoms, and is not The Freedom itself. Otherwise Jesus would not have said that He would give someone the morning star (Rev 2:28). ~k

Tue, Feb 18, 2014 at 12:07 AM Bible Gateway posted their Daily CS Lewis quote:
On comfort
“Talk to me about the truth of religion and I’ll listen gladly. Talk to me about the duty of religion and I’ll listen submissively. But don’t come talking to me about the consolations of religion or I shall suspect that you don’t understand.”

Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 5:47 am Me to Jane Hamon on Facebook: Dear Jane, Truly, thank you for sharing this piece by Paul Harvey from 1965.
Prophecy fulfilled.
Rev 17:17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish His purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled. [!] 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
With proof that God’s words have been fulfilled, why are many (not all, but many) still sitting around giving homage to the beast that has been wreaking havoc instead of praising the King of kings?
Rev 18:24 “In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people,
of all who have been [spiritually] slaughtered on the earth.”
“Come out of her My people.” (v 4)
Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent is 16 days away and I’ve been at this journey for seven years now. I have prayed, confronted, forgiven, let go, blessed, released, and tried to reconcile with my homies. Jane, Do you have room for me in your apostolic network? ~k

“…The idea is to get going and keep going till you hit it, but the key that precedes that is Antioch! Paul was growing in his gifting as a teacher and prophet where he was stationed in Antioch. This was the anointed location to be in until the Spirit commissioned him to GO! Once “sent forth by the Spirit” he was able to get frustrated into the perfect will of God.”
[Hmmm… Mt 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
The “beast” and the “false prophet” that are thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur (Rev 19:20) are not real men, but projections. Projections don’t have blood. God’s holy people do. God’s holy people worship Jesus the King of kings and Lord of lords!]
Lance Wallnau said:
“Try the spirits….for every spirit is not sent of God.”
Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 7:30 am [exactly] Me to Lance on Facebook:
Dear Lance: This is an excellent point: “Try the spirits….for every spirit is not sent of God.”
And please excuse me while I scream in your ear: For God’s sake: Be holy!
We are to try the spirits, not the messenger!
When Joshua went to Jericho, the city was tightly shut up BECAUSE of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. (Jos 6:1) Sometimes we bring our tight spaces upon ourselves, and sometimes they are inflicted upon us from outside influences. Either way no one is moving. When Joshua arrived at Jericho he was outside the city, just as the Remnant today is outside. (arc to Rev 14:20)
Joshua 5:13 Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”
14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”
15 The commander of the LORD’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy [!].” And Joshua did so.
6:1 Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.
Repeat: We are to try the spirits, not the messenger! The Lord is “the God of the spirits of the prophets”
Rev 22: 6 Then he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets [!], sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.
[And the angel did, by showing the prophets the grid of the Apostolic Network.]
Rev 18:24 “In her [Babylon; ie, babbling on and on] was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people, of all who have been [spiritually] slaughtered on the earth.”
[Are you getting it, that God is speaking to the company of prophets? Are you maybe sensing that I’m a tad frustrated myself in this moment? To quote you: “Once “sent forth by the Spirit” he [Paul] was able to get frustrated into the perfect will of God.” And the prophets? Oh, that’s right, we can’t talk about it! And I’m not driven by a consumerism spirit, so I guess the prophets won’t talk to me because I won’t respond to the hawking of their wares. Ah, gee.]
Rev 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her [Babylon; ie, babbling on and on], my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
Rev 10:7 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets [!].”
[Well, gee, with all the infernal yacking of the prophets, do they even know the mystery that God accomplished? I don’t know what y’all know. We don’t talk about it.]
Rev 11: 18 The nations were angry,
and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the “dead,”
and for rewarding your servants the prophets [!]
and your people who revere Your name [Hello? BE HOLY!],
both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.” ~k

Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 7:50 am Pastor Joe Sweet shared Morning Star’s poster: “God never changes. If we are going to be of one mind with Him, we are the ones who will have to change.”
Me at 9:12 am: And when will the company of prophets do the changing to realign with God’s holy stance?
Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10:06 am Pastor Joe Sweet shared Morning Star’s quote:
There is nothing in this world that is more contagious than someone who is getting closer to the Lord. There is nothing in creation more infectious than the love of God. – Rick Joyner
Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7:11 am Pastor, am I picking up some “arc speak” between you, Rick Joyner, and myself? God did say He would make a highway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isa 43:19) But I need more than “arc speak” to go on. Please confirm.

Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1:30 pm From Pastor Joe Sweet:
“I don’t know what “arc talk” is. But I do know that I do not like to have anything posted that appear to be accusing or critical of anyone in the body of Christ..”
Friday, February 21, 2014 at 5:51 am Me to Pastor Joe: Thank you for responding to me. It is my prayer that this will give me the opportunity to clarify. “Arc speak” is the Spirit’s arc spark trying to connect and communicate where human words fail us. Please allow me to explain from my standpoint (Joshua 5:13) that I was not accusing or critical of the prophets themselves but of the lesser spirit that is not the authentic Self that I “see”, for the prophets are the ones who are leading us into the Great Harvest. (Rev 14) The prophets do know me very well.
I just said to Lance Wallnau on Wednesday (19 Feb 14): We are to try the spirits, not the messenger! The Lord is “the God of the spirits of the prophets”
Rev 22: 6 Then he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets [!], sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.
The angel already did show them the apostolic network that would soon take place. It is my prayer that on this day today where the company of prophets gather to grieve the passing and celebrate the life of Bob Jones that Bob’s spirit would intervene and affirm the Mission, me, all of us, to God’s glory from his new vantage point. And as he is partnering with the Holy Spirit in a new way and dimension in the heavens (Rev 14:6), it is my prayer that the company of prophets would realize that the mystery of God really has been accomplished.
Rev 10:7 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets [!].”
The prophets know me exceptionally well over the course of many years, but they won’t speak directly to me. This is where your gifts and calling are critical. The pastor’s role is vital in connecting us. ~Kathryn
[New set] Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10:15 pm Lance Wallnau posted on Facebook:
In the last chapter of the Bible, the ARMIES of heaven return with the KING and the “the Spirit and the BRIDE say come.”
Armies, a King, a Bride and the Holy Spirit. What does this all mean? Some people relate to the Bride. The bride calls us to be separate from Earth and its lowly passions. This company carries a quest for revival and presence. It’s a call to life in the Spirit and it watches heaven. The Armies are the warriors who see the enemy and the approaching end time …conflict. They get more manifestations of devils than heaven it seems, but the angels love being around them because they advance the front lines.
Seldom does the bride merge with the warrior but when they do they form the most powerful force on earth – warrior lovers.
This picture makes me think about this. The bride and the lion…. The lover and the warrior. Purity and dominion. The Priest and the King who come together. Kings are royal and priests are, well, priests. Together they form a Royal Priesthood.
Notice that miracles manifested in Jesus’ ministry whenever He felt “compassion.” What is compassion? Curiously, compassion is the intersection of anger and love. Anger at the thing or devil that destroys the one you love.
The revival we long for, will be carried by people who love the realm of heaven and would leave Earth if they could, but they also see evil and it drives them to warfare. This compassion in action will launch a miracle army.
Are you more bride or warrior?
Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7:58 am Me to Lance:
Lance, I am both bride and warrior, for a marriage with Jesus Christ requires my being a lover and a warrior. I have loved both the Churches and the prophets and kicked some royal butt, but I have done it in a heart of deep, “burning bush” compassion: “the intersection of [righteous] anger and love.” True “compassion in action” would be for the Church and the company of prophets to shift from communicating with me in “arc speak” and move to a more direct approach. This is where the pastor’s role is vital, for pastors bridge the gaps in what the prophets speak. ~k
[OMG! I got one “like”!]
Friday, February 21, 2014 at 8:33 am Me to “Watchman Dave” [reader] on Lance Wallnau’s piece on the Bride and Lion; Lover-Warrior
Rev 22: 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
Dear Watchman Dave,
I love what you said: “the invitation to “accompany” (to come along side rather than just “come over here”) by agreement and unity.” O, I LOVE THIS! I just so love this! There are so many holy arc sparks in what you wrote that I have goosebumps all over! Now THIS is what I call engagement! [Ohhh, this is so exciting!!] So, pardon me while I engage with you line by line:
WD: “We are hidden IN Christ like a rib in the Second Adam”
Me: Yes, I agree. The “woman fighting the dragon” (Rev 12) is also hidden, hidden by the earth:
Rev 12:15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth [!] helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
Me: I just told God last night that I feel like I’ve been in a kayak for years, tumbling over and over but always bouncing back up (thank God!) I am feeling rather wet and cold, though. Can’t deny that it hasn’t been a wild ride!
WD: “till HE presents from Himself To Himself, His Bride”
Me: I guess this is why God needs angels, for who else can present but another of like Spirit? On the other hand someone in the flesh has to present the bride to the bridegroom. Isn’t that what pastors are for, to connect the two in union to become as one?
WD: “the Rib, to be Eve, was taken from inside of Adam and prepared in another place and brought Back and Presented to Adam”
Rev 12: 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness [!—ie another place], where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.
Me: There is one detail that Adam seemed to miss, or maybe just overlooked, or maybe the mansion is just taking a whole lot longer to build than he thought. (Dan 12:12?) Today’s “Eve” is still parked in her car in the “wilderness.” (And I do not drive a Mustang. Horse? Get it? Bad joke. Sorry.)
WD: The Invitation “to come” is what we cry now in unity with the Spirit and one another “Prior” to war.
Me: I was just journaling yesterday and asking Jesus, “Since God’s wrath is COMPLETED (Rev 15:1) then why do the prophets say things like, “The Armies are the warriors who see the enemy and the approaching end time …CONFLICT [!]”? Does there always have to be conflict? If the “sea of glass mixed with fire” (Rev 15:2) represents peace with (com)passion, love and the warrior, the bride and the lion, then it’s the job of the priests to connect the “kings” so God’s righteous acts can be revealed. (v 4) Priests are natural connectors. God, help them to do their jobs; help them to do what You have created them to do! Help them to connect with the apostolic network on Your shores. (v 2)”
WD: In REV 21 the Bride is already with the LORD, so why would she cry COME when she is with HIM at the Supper?
Me: The way I “see” this is that “already being with the LORD ” relates to having God’s Kingdom within us. Heaven is within. It is a “new heaven.” (Rev 21:1) Heaven is seen as “in here” not “out there.” At the same time, even though we carry the Kingdom of God within us, we are also God’s temples. (1 Cor 3:17) We are corporeal and temporal beings. We are earthy. “New earth.” We still need each other to accomplish God’s purposes. We will eat not by feeding ourselves, but by feeding each other (picture a mom feeding her baby in a highchair.) This “feeding” is very maternal.
Rev 21:1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
If I may speak for the Bride, she cries COME when she is with Jesus at the Supper, because she wants to share the Feast she is already experiencing with other people. So far along this journey, the Bride has been ostracized and the people didn’t want what she had to share. (cf Luke 16:19-31)
WD: I don’t think Jesus is late to anything including His marriage feast.
Me: I agree. I don’t think He is late, however He has fulfilled His own words! He was a long time in coming.
Mt 25:5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
WD: Just a few things to consider before finalizing whether the Bride should be dressed in fatigues under that beautiful Dress Jesus is adorning her with, as that’s the way the old conservative baptists had the women dress when I was in Bible College…lol…ok…less the camouflage colors…
Me: Actually I really do wear boots. At the beginning of my calling I wore sandals and when they broke, God segued me into black construction-type boots and I hadn’t worn boots before in my life. It wasn’t until later that I realized the boots played a significant role in helping me to ANCHOR myself in my relationship in Christ and to BE (and stay!) in the holy present moment.
WD: … don’t fret about when the war takes place, just be Dressed to kill…
Me: I’m not sure how one dresses to “kill.” Maybe it would be good to be armed with a flyswatter, because it is the spirits who we all are going after, not the people, and spirits are pesky buggers.
WD: I can assure you, you won’t miss the fight! I just want to know…do we have dinner before the fight or after…grin … wd
Me: Too cute! ~k
[Watchman Dave “liked” what I wrote!! Woo! Woo!]
Friday, February 21, 2014 The Elijah List posted a tribute to Bob Jones and his last major public article. Bob had spoken about the Great Harvest through the peacemakers. He had said:
“This is the year the army of God comes together with angels beyond number and weapons that cannot be defeated by the enemy. Angels are here now preparing the Body for the harvest and there will be a mighty victory. This year, even the blooming of the trees is something that satan can’t stop from happening.”

Beloved, remember, if you were not a threat, the enemy would not attack you. Be encouraged and know, He Who is Faithful and Just will deliver you. He is able to use every attack, every vile word thrown against you to make you an iron tower of His strength. Strengthen yourself in the Lord. “Be strong in the Lord and in HIS MIGHTY POWER” (Ephesians 6:10).
The battle we fight is God’s war. It’s the battle for mankind. We are made victorious in Him – we can endure – we will persevere and be victorious. We do not battle with flesh and blood (with people). Our battle is with unseen forces for the souls of men (Ephesians 6:12) – all souls, even those who persecute us.
Friday, February 21, 2014 at 9:40 am Journal: At Pleasant Valley Park. The crows are flying and calling to each other in midair. I had just said another prayer for Bob Jones and friends gathered for his memorial service. God seems to do a lot of announcing in midair:
Rev 8: 13 As I watched, I heard an eagle [Bobby Conner?] that was flying in midair [!] call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!” [No worries, dear reader, this already happened.]
Rev 14: 6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair [!], and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. [This perfectly describes Bob Jones! He is one of the angels!]
Rev 19: 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair [!], “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,

The Shunamite woman of 2 Kings 4 is another example of double portion blessing where a woman made a place in her home for the prophetic anointing and received the prophets reward……which is the miracle she needed that money can’t buy. It is time to see the prophets reward manifested in every aspect of our lives! Shunem means “the place of double rest”. This will be a year of rest, but we are to understand that it is not rest from activity. This will be a year of accelerated activity and productivity, but in the midst of this we will experience great rest, joy and celebration.
Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 8:10 am [nope] Me to Jane Hamon but not on Facebook because my computer froze and I couldn’t post it (but I’ll share my comment here in this Reflection):
…And what about the woman (Rev 12) who made a place in her heart for the prophetic anointing and received the prophets’ reward (Mt 5:12; Mt 17:12)? After all these years still not one prophet will address me directly as an honest friend. Don’t you think that the Kingdom will make accelerated progress when we can actually have a face-to-face conversation and relationship? But someone has to break the code of silence for this to happen. I’m not the only warrior-bride out here; (arc to Lance Wallnau’s piece on Facebook on 19 Feb 14 on the Bride and the Lion — And look at all the comments! There are many of us out here. (143 comments? so far, 719 shares?) And we are waiting for you (ie, leaders) to put your words into action and not just talk about it.) I don’t mean to sound disrespectful. At the same time there are still serious holes in the cosmic fabric which must be addressed face on. Opening direct dialogue with me is one of those breaches which must be repaired. I’m not necessarily saying that the breach must be repaired by you personally, but why not? We have to start somewhere. Are you not like a spiritual midwife? It feels like the collective Body has gone breach just as we’re on the verge of birthing. Please turn the baby’s crown going in the right direction, so the Holy Spirit can birth this New Life and God can be glorified in His finest hour. ~k

7 After Epiphany 23 Feb 2014 Gospel: Matthew 5:38-48
Leviticus 19:1-2, 9-18
19:1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

19:2 Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them: You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

19:9 When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest.

19:10 You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: I am the LORD your God.

19:11 You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; and you shall not lie to one another.

19:12 And you shall not swear falsely by my name, profaning the name of your God: I am the LORD.

19:13 You shall not defraud your neighbor; you shall not steal; and you shall not keep for yourself the wages of a laborer until morning.

19:14 You shall not revile the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind; you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.

19:15 You shall not render an unjust judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great: with justice you shall judge your neighbor.

19:16 You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not profit by the blood of your neighbor: I am the LORD.

19:17 You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself.

19:18 You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

Psalm 119:33-40
119:33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes, and I will observe it to the end.

119:34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.

119:35 Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.

119:36 Turn my heart to your decrees, and not to selfish gain.

119:37 Turn my eyes from looking at vanities; give me life in your ways.

119:38 Confirm to your servant your promise, which is for those who fear you.

119:39 Turn away the disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good.

119:40 See, I have longed for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life.

1 Corinthians 3:10-11, 16-23
3:10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it. Each builder must choose with care how to build on it.

3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ.

3:16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

3:17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

3:18 Do not deceive yourselves. If you think that you are wise in this age, you should become fools so that you may become wise.

3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”

3:20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

3:21 So let no one boast about human leaders. For all things are yours,

3:22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future–all belong to you,

3:23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

Matthew 5:38-48
5:38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’

5:39 But I say to you, Do not resist an evildoer. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also;

5:40 and if anyone wants to sue you and take your coat, give your cloak as well;

5:41 and if anyone forces you to go one mile, go also the second mile.

5:42 Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not refuse anyone who wants to borrow from you.

5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

5:45 so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.

5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

5:47 And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?

5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Kathryn Hauser’s Reflection for 6 After Epiphany on 16 February 2014
Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 9:15 am Journal: At Camino Ruiz. God, would You please help! In the lectionary readings for next Sunday (16 Feb 14) You say:
Deut 30:15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity.
I choose YOU! I choose New Life! At the same time I cannot do this alone! Where’s the friendship of Your people? Friendship is where the Life is! (v 19) And I have been ostracized. It is true that I have withdrawn from my old life and the rat race, but withdrawing and being ostracized are not the same thing, as I told Rick Joyner. Lord, I HAVE been loving You, obeying You, and holding You fast! (v 20) I HAVE acted faithfully as a matter of my own choice. (Sirach 15:15) We are Your servants. (1 Cor 3:9) We are supposed to be working together. (v 9) We are Your “field,” and Your “building.” (v 9)
Lord? Who is my accuser? (Mt 5:25) No one says anything! I did leave my gift on the “altar” last Sunday when I went to Lancaster (CA) to see Bobby Conner. I delivered the message and left it on the podium just like You told me to do. I left it there and went. (v 24) I reached out to seek reconciliation with my brothers and sisters (v 24), trying to connect the prophets and the Churches. I offered them Your gift. I passed along Your instructions. I did this while I was on my way to “court” (v 25) with them, for they are my beloved, and I tried to come to terms with them quickly. (v 25) I even posted on Facebook! How much more quickly can I do it? And I did give my “last penny” (v 26) of all I had left to offer as my tithe. Lord, do You remember the widow in the Temple? (Luke 21:1-4) Hello?
And what adultery (Mt 5:28) are You talking about? Just as Hosea loved Gomer (Hosea 3:1), so I have loved the Church! I have been chaste in my love. (Mt 5:32) I have not sworn falsely. (v 33) You are my witness! (Acts 5:32) I have carried out the vows I made to You! (Mt 5:33) You said not to swear by anything at all (v 34) and I didn’t!
Mt 5:34 But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,

5:35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

5:36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
Well, I didn’t swear! I didn’t swear by heaven, or by earth, or by Jerusalem, or by my own head! I swore by “Him Who lives forever and ever!” (Rev 10:6) And, for the record: I am seeking FRIENDSHIP with Your people! This is a statement! YES! (Mt 5:37)
2 Cor 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us [!] to the glory of God.
Rev 22: 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Father, in Rev 12:9 You hurled Satan to earth. Well, today I hurl him right back up to Your Throne to deal with! That’s Your job! Jesus, You took our pain upon Yourself! (Isa 53:4) Well, Satan is now causing all of us such pain! So YOU have to deal with him! We can’t do this! I can’t do this! I throw him right back to You!
[Now facing the prophets and Churches]: Do we have friendship?
Mt 5:37 Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
Thursday, 13 February 2014 at 9:22 am My letter to Kim Clement: “Need Proof?”
Dear Kim,
As I have stated before, I am convinced that you are the shepherd to the archetypal Church of Philadelphia. Yesterday I sent you “Message Delivered.” And you took the essence of it into your Workshop. That’s cool. I have no problem with that. Now, do you need proof in order to take it beyond your workshop and on to the prophetic brotherhood? It is my intention with this document to lay out that proof that Rev 2:20-22, Jeremiah 23:30-32, and Ezekiel 8:5 are FULFILLED. It is not my intention to harm, but I am seeking justice through clarity.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Cor 13:6-7 NIV)
Less than a month ago (on 22 Jan 14) I reached out to Prophetess Sandie Freed and shared with her a vision I had of the devouring lion and being ambushed by fiery darts. [Included in original document.] I was seeking community, because even though I knew with my head what was going on, I needed community to come alongside me. I knew that Sandie has a specialty in spiritual warfare, and I thought she’d fight with me and for me as comrades in arms. Now I am seeking your compassion and advocacy, since I know that you have also experienced visions which were scary and painful, and I am hoping that you will do what Sandie could not, which was to offer fellowship of community. I am happy to report, however, that the Lord used that experience to make me stronger and poured holy oil on it, so that I did not feel the sting of the darts for long. However, I must also expose the wrongs that stemmed from having shared all this in the first place.
Things came to a head yesterday when Sandie Freed posted her word “Quench the Fiery Darts of the Enemy” (12 Feb 14) on the Elijah List. I have inserted her piece below for easy access for you. First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the dream that Sandie had. She said, “A few nights ago I had a dream that the enemy had a quiver which was full of arrows. As satan pulled arrows forth to target against the Church, he would speak words against the Body, and as he spoke opposite of what God said about each of us, the arrows would catch on fire.” On 22 Jan 14 I had shared “Mercy” with Sandie, which was my journal entry of having experienced a vision of the devouring lion (which I realized was the counterfeit version to the Lion of Judah) and how immediately upon the fright of the devouring lion, I was caught in a demonic ambush of fiery darts. I am not saying that she may not have had a dream regarding Satan’s fiery arrows targeted against the Church. I am saying that it is not right to have brought this up without ever having made contact with me. She said, “During the dream it was very clear to me that satan had plans to target us with his fiery darts and flaming arrows. This is nothing new to most Believers, but a strategic, kairos assault by satan is what I am bringing forth to the Body, so please discern the difference.”
As God is my witness (Acts 5:32) this truly is a kairos assault by Satan and the discernment must remain focused on God Himself and to draw together in community. But there has consistently and unilaterally been grievous silence among all the prophets toward me. And my words were stolen—again.
Jer 23: 30 “Therefore,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from Me. 31 Yes,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The LORD declares.’ 32 Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the LORD. “They tell them and lead My people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,” declares the LORD.
The last time my words were stolen (29 Dec 13) the prophets repented and went into a 21-Day Prayer Focus. Since it happened again, I must draw the conclusion that Rev 2:21 is fulfilled.
Rev 2:21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.
Mercifully, Jesus did give a pressure release valve in the word “unless” in verse 22, so that there is an option to choose Life and not adversity. (Dt 30:15)
Sandie goes on to emphasize our identity in Christ and to have courage and faith, –and still even more faith, and more faith, —but there is no community to draw strength from. How are we supposed to have a community of faith without a conversation? We’re just supposed to suck on more faith fumes? Jesus is our Rock, AND He also established the foundation with the Twelve:
Rev 21: 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Sandie went on to talk about the Philistine stronghold. Does this relate to me? What fear-based mentality? Insignificance? Negativity? Hurling accusations? If this was “Arc Speak” to what I wrote, then this is outright false in relation to me. I hurl it all right into God’s Throne Room! God threw Satan down (Rev 12:9) and I throw all the bull right back up into His own Throne Room for God to deal with! This is not mine and I will NOT hold on to it!
I have put what I wrote below, so that you may see that I shared from my own experience and that I was asking for community. Even beyond myself in defense of the community, I believe the Remnant is stronger now and doesn’t need more instruction on how to fight these “dragons” in this way at this time. Now, here my own view may be my skew, as I “see” the prophets as forerunners, so we’ve already been there, done this. We have Kingdom-building work to do now, so why is she focusing on identity crisis with her readership at this point on the journey? This has already been thoroughly addressed by the Elijah List prophets. (And quite well done, I might add.)
Sandie went on to say how Satan loves to speak “religiously.” This is true in its naked form. It is also true that I rely on Scripture when I write, because the Word is my anchor and my sword. The Holy Spirit is the driving Force. If there was any ensnarement by Scripture, then maybe it was the Holy Spirit doing the work of conviction and it came out through her projection. I don’t know. Who am I to judge? Conviction is the work of the Holy Spirit. And what was that bit about the antichrist spirit? And negativity against my identity? What was that all about? I’m focusing on the mission of reconciliation of the Churches and she’s chewing on these dry bones? Forgive me, but I don’t see the connection. We are not babies in the faith anymore. We (speaking for the Remnant) know who we are in Christ Jesus!
She said, “Please allow me to explain that it is my belief that this [Seducer] spirit is satan himself, and it has been actively seducing mankind and speaking lies concerning our identity since the Garden of Eden!” [Was this an Arc to my Reflection “What Rebellion?” where I wrote about my conversation with Jesus in The Garden?] “This spirit has been around a while…it is in operation now – targeting YOUR identity! Even more, as I explain in my book, the antichrist spirit is everything anti-Christ!”
Me: Now, I know Satan is a seducer, and I also know that Jesus has been wooing us (and the company of prophets has also confirmed this!) So which voice are we going to listen to? By hounding identity this far along in our collective journey is downright misleading. (Rev 2:20) That is the equivalent of eating spiritual “food” sacrificed to idols. And the Lord led me immediately to:
Ezekiel 8: 5 Then he said to me, “Son of man, look toward the north.” So I looked, and in the entrance north of the gate of the altar I saw this idol of jealousy.
And while we’re in the neighborhood, where is Common Courtesy? I expressly asked NOT to be taught to death about spiritual warfare. I had stated my needs clearly:
“…And I don’t need anyone to throw their latest book at me to “teach” me about spiritual warfare. I just need the community to come alongside me! I need a community to say to me in the flesh, “You are real. You are valuable. You are a gift from God. Come live with us.””
But twice she had to bring up her books. I’m all for books, don’t get me wrong! I just felt this was a double slap in my face, again, since we never, ever, ever engage in authentic connection, and I have been reaching out to her since 28 Dec 2012.
Sandie said: “Both spirits [the antichrist spirit and the Philistine spirit] shoot fiery darts attempting to destroy our relationship with God, our identity in Christ, and our significance.
“These strongholds negate our righteousness solely due to the Cross and the shedding of the Blood of Jesus and emphasize religious works and religious performance. They also confront us to operate with religious perfectionism, focusing on works rather than relationship with God.”
Me: For the record, I do have a very healthy relationship with God, know my identity in Christ, and my significance in this mission. I am an Anchoress! I ANCHOR in my covenantal relationship in Jesus Christ. It’s a marriage. I do not know what religious works or religious performance Sandie is referring to. I do not subscribe to religious perfectionism or putting works before my relationship with God. I think if anyone reads my writings they would ascertain the true Spirit within them. It is only the Holy Spirit Who can be my Advocate on this issue! (Jn 15:26)
I know that I have a destiny. I, too, believe that the Bible is full of prophetic words concerning my identity. The righteous woman in Revelation 12 comes immediately to mind. God has already proven Himself faithful!
Rev 12: 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
Does she need more proof? Do you?
Jesus said:
Mt 18: 15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.”
As you can see from my correspondence below, I have tried to reconcile. I have tried to confront, but how does one go to a brother or a sister who will not break the code of silence? I say this not only in reference to this current situation, but to this whole journey going back to 2007! Everything I know I get from the Holy Spirit! I have shared not only my experiences, needs, and views, but also a broader perspective. I agree with Sandie, that yes, we are born into a “battlefield against wickedness.” And to fight that wickedness I had also sent “Break the Oppressor” to the prophets on 20 January 14. And I had also posted “Rah! Rah!” on Facebook on 05 Feb 14. At some point we have to shift focus from staring at the wickedness and start throwing the bull back where it belongs!
Truly, as the title of my Reflection for 05 After Epiphany (09 Feb 14) asks: “What Rebellion?” Really. Answer me: What rebellion is really going on here? Let’s move on to the real mission objectives of actually working together to build God’s Kingdom, rather than staying stuck on identity issues, religiosity, and jealousies! Pleeease! God has called us to choose Life, not adversity.
Deut 30:15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity.

30:16 If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the LORD your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
Kim, you said yesterday (12 Feb 14): “HEAR and be DIRECTED by the Spirit to your higher place of existence.” And you said that after I had sent you “Message Delivered.” So I gather you did hear and were directed by the Spirit to your higher place of existence? Glad to hear it. It’s time to call on the Apostles of today to do what God has called them to do. (Rev 21:14) Isn’t this why God created Valentine’s Day? And it will be upon us tomorrow. (Jn 3:16) Isn’t that proof enough?
Fri, Feb 14, 2014 at 10:48 am Kim Clement posted on Facebook:
You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving. “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” 1 John 3:1
Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 7:46 am Me to Kim on FB: It is true, we cannot love without giving, but it is also true that in order to experience the Great Love of the Father in exponential lavish release, there MUST be integral follow-through, and I have not seen this from you yet, Kim. The Lord was painstakingly clear in every detail and you did nothing. What were you expecting from Him? More giving when you didn’t follow through on the instructions He already gave you? Stop playing this game. ~k
Sat, Feb 15, 2014 On the Elijah List: Angela Greenig: “Stand Against Injustice: Tell My Mighty Warriors to Prepare for War” [Sigh. War? Please be gentle! Be respectful!]
Sunday, February 16, 2014 Me to Angela Greenig:
Dear Angela, Elijah went and showed himself to Ahab. (1 Ki 18:2) He confronted his adversary. My adversary is Satan, not the prophets, and I HAVE confronted my adversary and threw him right back up to God’s Throne Room, for him to be judged after all these years of making war on us! (Rev 12:9) Haggai got the word of the Lord twice. (Haggai 2:20) Just this week I passed along the word of the Lord twice. Same message to two men of God. God’s instructions were specific on what to do next. The Generals, Priests, Prophets, and Judges are supposed to come together. There might be spiritual alignment among the prophets in the “caves,” but we won’t have Kingdom alignment until the rightful leaders come together and take a stance. Until they do, the people will be cut off by lies or untruths (because the truth went unspoken, not necessarily because of outright slander), the stump (Isa 6:13) is still cut off, the cloud (1 Ki 18:44) still just hovers on the horizon and the Reign still just lingers on the way. But/And on the seventh time a cloud as small as a man’s hand is seen rising from the sea (v 44)! So go down NOW, before the rain stops you.
1 Ki 18:44 The seventh time [!] [arc to the Seven Thunders (Rev 10)] the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”
So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”
Do you see?
The message of the Seven Thunders cannot be written down (Rev 10:4), because love cares enough to confront, and each person’s adversary is different. The Generals have to confront their own leaders! The archetypal Church of Philadelphia has love but little strength (Rev 3:8) Go help them! The longer “Philadelphia” delays, the longer all of us are stuck in no forward movement.
Sunday, February 16, 2014 On the Elijah List: Kathi Pelton: “Believe!” a Word for 2014
Kathi Pelton shares: “Believing in what the Lord has spoken to you is the key to moving forward.”
Me: So what do you believe? Do you believe it enough to put your words into action and cross the Great Divide?
Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 5:34 am I posted today’s CS Lewis quote from Bible Gateway on my Facebook timeline:
Today’s Reading
“Come here,” said the Lion. And she had to. She was almost between its front paws now, looking straight into its face. But she couldn’t stand that for long; she dropped her eyes.
“Human Child,” said the Lion. “Where is the Boy?”
“He fell over the cliff,” said Jill, and added, “Sir.” She didn’t know what else to call him, and it sounded cheek to call him nothing.
“How did he come to do that, Human Child?”
“He was trying to stop me from falling, Sir.”
“Why were you so near the edge, Human Child?”
“I was showing off, Sir.”
“That is a very good answer, Human Child. Do so no more.”

6 After Epiphany 16 Feb 2014 Gospel: Matthew 5:21-37
Deuteronomy 30:15-20
30:15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity.

30:16 If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the LORD your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.

30:17 But if your heart turns away and you do not hear, but are led astray to bow down to other gods and serve them,

30:18 I declare to you today that you shall perish; you shall not live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.

30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live,

30:20 loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and holding fast to him; for that means life to you and length of days, so that you may live in the land that the LORD swore to give to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

Sirach 15:15-20
15:15 If you choose, you can keep the commandments, and to act faithfully is a matter of your own choice.

15:16 He has placed before you fire and water; stretch out your hand for whichever you choose.

15:17 Before each person are life and death, and whichever one chooses will be given.

15:18 For great is the wisdom of the Lord; he is mighty in power and sees everything;

15:19 his eyes are on those who fear him, and he knows every human action.

15:20 He has not commanded anyone to be wicked, and he has not given anyone permission to sin.

Psalm 119:1-8
119:1 Happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD.

119:2 Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart,

119:3 who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways.

119:4 You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.

119:5 O that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!

119:6 Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.

119:7 I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous ordinances.

119:8 I will observe your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.

1 Corinthians 3:1-9
3:1 And so, brothers and sisters, I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but rather as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.

3:2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for solid food. Even now you are still not ready,

3:3 for you are still of the flesh. For as long as there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not of the flesh, and behaving according to human inclinations?

3:4 For when one says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apollos,” are you not merely human?

3:5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, as the Lord assigned to each.

3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.

3:7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

3:8 The one who plants and the one who waters have a common purpose, and each will receive wages according to the labor of each.

3:9 For we are God’s servants, working together; you are God’s field, God’s building.

Matthew 5:21-37
5:21 “You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, ‘You shall not murder’; and ‘whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.’

5:22 But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and if you say, ‘You fool,’ you will be liable to the hell of fire.

5:23 So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,

5:24 leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.

5:25 Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are on the way to court with him, or your accuser may hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison.

5:26 Truly I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.

5:27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

5:28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

5:30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into hell.

5:31 “It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’

5:32 But I say to you that anyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of unchastity, causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

5:33 “Again, you have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but carry out the vows you have made to the Lord.’

5:34 But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,

5:35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

5:36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.

5:37 Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.

What Rebellion?

9 Feb

Kathryn Hauser’s Reflection for 5 After Epiphany 09 February 2014
What Rebellion?
Conversation with Jesus in The Garden:
Me: “Lord, may I talk with You?”
Jesus: “Sure; pull up a bench.”
Me: “I have an issue with the lectionary readings this week.”
Jesus: “Oh, really? How’s that?”
Me: “You give the command:
Isaiah 58:1 “Shout out, do not hold back! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Announce to My people their rebellion, to the house of Jacob their sins.”
Jesus: “Ok. So, what’s the problem?”
Me: “Their sins (plural) are forgiven. There’s only one sin. The prophets still won’t talk to me face-to-face. You said:
Mt 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.”
Me: “You said:
Rev 10:7 “but in the days when the seventh angel [!] is to blow his trumpet [!], the mystery of God will be fulfilled [!], as He announced to His servants the prophets [!].”
Jesus: “Yes.”
Me: “Things are hinging on the prophets! The Church [law] already got the message. The prophets just keep dragging their feet. And it’s never enough with them.
Jesus: “For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.” (Mt 5:18)
Me: “Lord, You already said, “It is done!” And I have I have let them know over and over:

Me: “Hello? You said it’s been fulfilled; done already. Fini. So why won’t they talk to me? Isn’t reconciliation part of the law that concerns the prophets? Isn’t one of the least of the commandments to go and be reconciled to our brother? (Mt 5:24) I have tried repeatedly to reconcile with the brotherhood. Lord, You said that whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. (Mt 5:19) I hope I didn’t teach them to break the commandment. I know I have broken a lot of rules and my temper has gotten me in trouble time and again, but I have asked for mercy and forgiveness. I have tried to show the way of forgiveness. I have asked them to look at the meaning of contempt (‘Raca’, v 22) and asked them not to hold me in contempt; I have cried out “Bonehead!” in frustration more than once, but I am pretty sure I have not thought of anyone as a “fool” (v 22), because 1) I don’t think along those lines, and 2) I have been hurt myself by someone calling me a fool.”
Jesus: “I know. You’ve done everything I’ve asked you to do.”
Me: “You said to share our bread with the hungry (Isa 58:7), to bring the homeless into Your house (v 7), to cover the vulnerable (naked) (v7), and not to hide from Your own kin. (v 7) The prophets are my brothers. They are my own kin, and You sent me to them. I did not hide from them.”
Jesus: “True.”
Me [crying]: “Lord, I am still in my car!”
Jesus [with deep compassion]: “I know.”
Me: “I have been honest and vulnerable with the prophets. I repeat: I have not hidden from my own kin! The prophets are my brothers! Help me! You promised:
Isa 58:9a Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry for help, and He will say, Here I am.”
Jesus: [Empathetic sigh.] “Here I Am.”
Me: “If I don’t stop wailing, they’ll call me the “Wailing Prophet”!”
Jesus: “No they won’t.”
Me: “Huh?”
Jesus: “Jeremiah’s got that title.” [Grin.]
Me: “Ok. But really, all kidding aside, after all these years, the prophets still won’t talk to me! Did someone teach the brothers to break the covenant and insist on withholding direct contact with me across the board?”
Jesus: “I can’t tell you that.”
Me: “Well, whether it was deliberate or accidental, please forgive them. Would You do more than forgive, Lord? Would You reconcile us? We’re redeemed, but not reconciled yet.”
Jesus: [Big smile.]
Me: “Ya’know, I could tickle You!”
Jesus: “Just try!”
The next day I was thinking about what Jesus had said in
Mt 5:18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
Hmmmm…“Until heaven and earth pass away…” Does that phrase mean detachment, to not have a stake in, to be removed and not care in a holy sense (as in there being no ego baggage or agenda, so that God can have His way)? Until we drop our ego baggage not one letter will pass from the Church? Is this why my writings have been blocked? If the “law” (v 17) in my situation represents the Church-as-Institution and Jesus did not come to abolish the Institution, and He has said that He wants to reconcile the prophets with the Church, and the prophets fulfill prophetic word, then not one letter or stroke of a letter will pass from the covenantal law with the Church until all is accomplished (v 18) by the prophets, for they are catalysts and connectors to provide interpretation and understanding to others. The Church herself has the provisions. The prophets are the spokes on Elijah’s chariot wheels. (2 Kings 2:11) The Church is like the carriage. We have to work together! We will not experience heaven on earth or earth as in heaven (Mt 6:10) until the prophets reconcile. Let peace begin with me! Reconciliation is the great mystery of God, o prophets! (Rev 10:7)
I clearly “saw” that 01 February 2014 was a demarcation date and I shared that with the prophets. Then there ensued a week from hell… Was it something I said? So then what did I do? I wrote it out, falling back upon my gifts and talents and trusting God to use them for His glory. I stuck to God’s mandates to me that came with my calling: Worship God! Share the Journey! God promised to have my rear guard with His Shekinah glory. (Isa 58:8) And I wrestled with Bobby Conner.
And for the record, in my worldview framework, I “see” Bobby like Peter.

Rev 2:9 “I know your affliction and your poverty, even though you are rich.
that they are Jews [Christians] and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.”
Detach. Breathe. Holy. Breathe. Anchor. Breathe. What is God saying below all the noise?
Definition: slander
1. defamation; calumny: rumors full of slander.
2. a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name.
3. Law. defamation by oral utterance rather than by writing, pictures, etc.
verb (used with object)
4. to utter slander against; defame.
verb (used without object)
5. to utter or circulate slander.
God, help me to look at this objectively. Yes, I feel violated that what I put in the body of my original message is not what actually went out or came back. I hate the inference that I’m holding on to old baggage (what did he say?) Spirits of bitterness and unforgiveness? Unloving spirit? Anger? Fear? Shame? Guilt? Regret? Renounce my agreement with these evil works of darkness and repent from my sins receiving the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness by the Blood of His Cross? I did! All of it! Been there. Done that. Not holding on to it. Poured holy oil on it. I’m looking at Jesus Christ! Right in the eye!
How bizarre. Bobby and I are both crying out the repentance message but we’re on opposite mesa flats with a canyon between us.
In the big picture, this is not slander. Slander is name-calling. Aside from the fact that there was a written insertion into my work that I did not put in there, plus this was not oral (per definition), and we should be having a face-to-face or email-to-email conversation, still there is no defamation. And it is still true that all of us are being sifted like wheat, and Bobby is like Peter, and I am still praying for Bobby! He leads the Church at Smyrna! How can I not pray for him? Knowing that Bobby is the kingpin leader/connector bridge between the prophets and the Churches is not an “imagination” that needs to be “cast down.” Rejection? Rebellion? Disobedience? Lies that sound like my own inner voice? Bobby, who is the one who is suffering? (Rev 2:10) Next Monday (10 Feb 14) it will be ten days since you posted “Be An Overcomer.”
Rev 2: 10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Beware, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested,
Be faithful until “death,” and I will give you the crown of life.
It sounds to me like instead of the inner voice casting down, it is the very same voice that needs to start lifting up and believing that I come in peace and Truth. We’re on the same team. I’m on Jesus Christ’s team. I’m an Anchoress! I know who I am, do you?
Friday, February 07, 2014 at 8:30 am I sent “Tracking” to Bobby Conner (via email)
Fri, Feb 7, 2014 at 8:30 AM [!] Mike Evans of the Jerusalem Prayer Team sent me an email at the exact same time; subject: The elephant in the room. Even though Mike was referring to Jewish-Palestinian conflict issues, the elephant is the elephant is the elephant! Truth spoken at 8:30 am on Friday, 07 February 2014: Shabbat. It is my personal Sabbath, too. Shalom. Go in peace! We’re on the same team. I’m on Jesus Christ’s team. I’m an Anchoress! I know who I am, do you?
How do we fight the violence that the Kingdom of Heaven suffers (Mt 11:12) if we don’t know who we are? God calls us each by name. (Isa 40:26) If the starry host is each called out by name, how much more does God not also call us out by name? We are to rejoice that our names are written in heaven. (Lk 10:20) Heaven is LIFE! Our names are written in the Book of Life! (Rev 3:5; 13:8; 17:8; 20:12; 20:15; 21:27) Bobby, Bobby, you really were sifted like wheat. (Lk 22:31) Now go strengthen your brothers. (v 32)
Tomorrow (10 Feb 14) is day ten for the archetypal Church of “Smyrna.” (Rev 2:10) Reconciliation with the prophets can happen today (09 Feb 14) and tomorrow we could be enjoying the crown of New Life. But for that to happen the prophets have to break the silence and let the elephant out of the living room. Bobby, I’m on my way to see you. Can we please work things out?
Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven.” (Lk 10:18) Satan has many names. I’ve given up trying to count how many he has. God has many names, too, but each of His names reveals one of His character qualities. Satan’s names just add to the confusion. As long as we’re looking at the canyon of confusion, our eyes are not on Jesus. The elephant then grows bigger, filling the void until it grows so big that it blocks our view from God and each other. The way to defeat Satan and to get the elephant out of the room is with our mouths.
Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth [!] of the dragon, out of the mouth [!] of the beast, and out of the mouth [!] of the false prophet.
With our mouths we expose the Truth. (cf Rev 16:15) All we can do is show up in the holy Present Moment, try, give it our best, and let the Holy Spirit have His way with us. But we have to try!
Post script: If we’re paying attention and listening to what the Spirit says to the Churches, then Acts 2:42-47 and the Fellowship of Believers is an ever-increasing reality. Message: Yo, Cyrus! (Isa 44:28) Get your marching boots on!

5 After Epiphany 09 Feb 2014 Gospel: Matthew 5:13-20
Isaiah 58:1-9a (9b-12)
58:1 Shout out, do not hold back! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Announce to my people their rebellion, to the house of Jacob their sins.

58:2 Yet day after day they seek me and delight to know my ways, as if they were a nation that practiced righteousness and did not forsake the ordinance of their God; they ask of me righteous judgments, they delight to draw near to God.

58:3 “Why do we fast, but you do not see? Why humble ourselves, but you do not notice?” Look, you serve your own interest on your fast day, and oppress all your workers.

58:4 Look, you fast only to quarrel and to fight and to strike with a wicked fist. Such fasting as you do today will not make your voice heard on high.

58:5 Is such the fast that I choose, a day to humble oneself? Is it to bow down the head like a bulrush, and to lie in sackcloth and ashes? Will you call this a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD?

58:6 Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?

58:7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover them, and not to hide yourself from your own kin?

58:8 Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly; your vindicator shall go before you, the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.

58:9a Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry for help, and he will say, Here I am.

58:9b If you remove the yoke from among you, the pointing of the finger, the speaking of evil,

58:10 if you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday.

58:11 The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.

58:12 Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in.

Psalm 112:1-9 (10)
112:1 Praise the LORD! Happy are those who fear the LORD, who greatly delight in his commandments.

112:2 Their descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

112:3 Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.

112:4 They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and righteous.

112:5 It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.

112:6 For the righteous will never be moved; they will be remembered forever.

112:7 They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the LORD.

112:8 Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.

112:9 They have distributed freely, they have given to the poor; their righteousness endures forever; their horn is exalted in honor.

112:10 The wicked see it and are angry; they gnash their teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked comes to nothing.

1 Corinthians 2:1-12 (13-16)
2:1 When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom.

2:2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

2:3 And I came to you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling.

2:4 My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

2:5 so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

2:6 Yet among the mature we do speak wisdom, though it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to perish.

2:7 But we speak God’s wisdom, secret and hidden, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

2:8 None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2:9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him”

2:10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.

2:11 For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God’s except the Spirit of God.

2:12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.

2:13 And we speak of these things in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual.

2:14 Those who are unspiritual do not receive the gifts of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to them, and they are unable to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

2:15 Those who are spiritual discern all things, and they are themselves subject to no one else’s scrutiny.

2:16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Matthew 5:13-20
5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.

5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.

5:15 No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.

5:18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.

5:19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

5:20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Societal Redemption

2 Feb

Kathryn Hauser’s Reflection for the Double Whammy of the Feast Day of the Presentation of the Lord and 04 After Epiphany of which both fall on 02 February 2014
Societal Redemption
How do I present the Lord in the holy Present Moment? I am a messenger of the covenant. (Malachi 3:1) But who can endure the Day of His coming? (v 2)
John 4: 23 Yet a time is coming AND HAS NOW COME [!] when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
God said, “I have redeemed you from the house of slavery.” (Micah 6:4) Over the centuries God has altered the course of human history based on the fervent prayers of His intercessors. He’s stopped wars, famines, broken up mafias, dismantled Inquisitions, revealed medical breakthroughs, and halted plagues. Prophets pray before prophesying. Today’s company of prophets has been awesome intercessors! I am convinced that Prayers actually redeem society. For example, Mother Julian of Norwich (1342) was raised up during the time of the Black Plague (which reached Europe in 1347.) The prayers of a righteous intercessor avail much! (James 5:16) Because of her prayers (and the other anchorites of her time) society was changed for the better. Their prayers took on the weight of darkness of the day and redeemed them from the “house of slavery,” (ie, fear of death,) by bringing themselves to God on society’s behalf. Julian and cohorts took God seriously when He said,
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Julian was to her day like Beatrice was to Dante in his day. Beatrice in Dante’s Inferno prayed. It is said:
“One of the blessed in Heaven, Beatrice aids Dante’s journey by asking an angel to find Virgil and bid him guide Dante through Hell. … Critics generally view Beatrice as an allegorical representation of spiritual love.”
Intercessors, themselves, believe Jesus and His transforming work and we take this upon ourselves, because the journey is personal with us. We are not removed and detached from what we pray. Intercessors are changed from the inside out and offer the new wine of change back to God. Today’s prophets and intercessors have done the same thing. We don’t hang on to the prayers, but let them go for God to use. Prayers swap the old for the New. That’s the meaning of redemption. This is what Christ did for us.
So, what I’m saying is that the prophets and intercessors in our day have redeemed society by their prayers! The awesomeness of this concept is too much to take in. Just as the prayers of the prophets redeemed the Church, so the prayers of the Church redeemed the Jews, and salvation comes from the Jews! (Jn 4:22) Is this not cool?! Our prayers have saved each other! (Through Christ’s redeeming work on the cross, of course.) Therefore, just as salvation comes from the Jews, so the repeat cycle applies to the Church through the prophets. When we do spiritual “work” (the work of letting go) and have been obedient to His instruction, then we are changed from the inside out. This change affects others. Then more prayers join the chorus and before you know it 144,000 have been redeemed (Rev 14:3), not just saved. And their testimonies go forth. And these testimonies change (redeem) those that sincerely want to hear. Once the ball starts rolling then entire nations and societies are changed from the inside out, because the people are changed. They are redeemed, like a bottle or an aluminum can, when the old is offered for a price and then the item is turned into something new. The people are redeemed from the slavery of their own fears, slavery of their own shadows, slavery to the same ol’, same ol’. The people are changed not by a fad, but the Holy Spirit doing His redemptive work inside His intercessors and working outwardly like ripples on a pond.
This is what I know, so I asked the prophets,
Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 6:12 am
“So, where’s the Remnant? There are supposed to be 144,000 (Rev 14) redeemed (not just saved.) They were redeemed from the earth (v 3), not heaven. So, when will we come together? The company of prophets is still silent and removed and yet they know. And I know that they know. And they know that I know that they know. With all this knowing goin’ down, something’s gotta give! Someone has to break the bubble of silence! Work with me!” ~Kathryn
Then I went into more prayer over this week’s lectionary readings and I “saw” what we’ve learned:
Laodicea was wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. (Rev 3:17) The Remnant among her now knows the Truth of
Mt 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Smyrna mourned because of her afflictions and mourned through her poverty (for she was poor and didn’t confess. It was a sad case.) (Rev 2:9) She grieved through the awful slander scandals. (v 9) The Remnant among her now knows the Truth of
Mt 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Ephesus forgot the height from which she had fallen. (Rev 2:5) The Remnant among her now knows the Truth of
Mt 5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.”
I, myself, am still hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for God promised that we would be filled. (Mt 5:6) I haven’t seen it yet, myself. I’m still praying…
Thyatira ruled with her iron authority. (Rev 2:27) The Remnant among her now knows the Truth of
Mt 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.”
Pergamum, O Pergamum, you remembered “the saving acts of the LORD!” (Micah 6:5)
Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 7 am I said:
I hear you. Yes!! grace and peace are Christ’s gift through His finished work on the cross. There is no question about that. Even Balaam got that. (Rev 2:14) God told Balaam to bless not curse. (Num 22:12) It was Balaam who got fat off the sacrifices (Nu 23-24) just like Pergamum did. Pergamum says in her heart: “We are saved by grace! Who could ask for anything more?!” Is there more? Yes! Redemption. I don’t mean the Redemption Jesus already paid on the cross. I mean societal redemption:
John 4:22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 5:25 am You said:
To go past the point where others COULD NOT, we must overcome what they WOULD NOT. I am going to chew on this today. Do you ponder and reflect?
Friday, January 31, 2014 at 5 am I said:
“Gentlemen, yesterday I asked you to come up to Camarillo (an hour’s drive north of Pasadena) to see me after the conference. I did not hear back from you.
“My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when [s]he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” (2 Kings 5:13)
Please go past the point where others COULD NOT, so that we all can overcome what they WOULD NOT. This is important.
How can I explain this to you? God sent me to the company of prophets and they won’t acknowledge my existence, won’t call me by name, won’t touch me, and won’t treat me like a human being. The spirit behind this is called contempt. I pray that you do not hold me in contempt. I am not angry. All is forgiven. I’m just miffed that after all these years of trying to make contact we still can’t touch. “ET” had more success. I know I’ve been a pew pest, but we must reconcile this breach. The only way I know it can heal is for us to meet in person. Prophecies and prayers alone cannot do what human touch can do.” ~Kathryn
O Pergamum, the Remnant among you knows the Truth of
Mt 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
Sardis had a reputation for being alive, but she was dead. (Rev 3:1) The Remnant among her now knows the Truth of
Mt 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
The faith of the Seven Churches was sorely tested, not just Smyrna. (Rev 2:10) Many were persecuted (v 10) for their faith, but the Remnant-as-Body knows the deeper truth of what it means to be persecuted for Righteousness’ sake (and not just for faith’s sake.)
Mt 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Philadelphia kept God’s word. (Rev 3:8) She did endure patiently. (v 10) She was reviled and persecuted and all kinds of evil were uttered against her falsely on God’s account. (Mt 5:11) But she was held in God’s protective care and God will honor His promise to keep you from more trial. (Rev 3:10) Kim Clement, you are the shepherd of this tribe. Do you know that? Worshiping God is your crown. (v 11) Continue holding on to it! (v 11)
We have been praying for heaven on earth (Mt 6:10) for a very long time. Since prayer brings heaven to earth, then rejoice and be glad, for your reward is in heaven (Mt 5:12); rejoice because it’s here and not just there! Prophets are pray-ers. The company of prophets has been persecuted by the Church herself, as the Church doggedly stuck to the assumption that there have been no prophets since John the Baptist. But the holy Remnant can attest to God’s Truth overriding assumptions and lies. Dear Church, the prophets went through the refiner’s inferno:
Micah 6:3 “O my people, what have I done to you? In what have I wearied you? Answer me!
The prayers of the intercessors redeemed you through our prayers and living sacrifices. (Micah 6:6) Church, we did not give you our first born. (v 7) We gave our fruit to God instead (v 7) and you got the benefit. You are in a debt of gratitude to the ones you dismissed.
Sons of Issachar, you know the times and the seasons. (1 Chr 12:32) God said you would have “one portion; it will border the territory of Simeon from east to west.” (Eze 48:25) God also said, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Ps 103:12) The Sons have been redeemed through their prayers, just as was Simeon. (Lk 2:25) It was Simeon, who was guided by the Spirit (v 27) and he came into the Temple (v 27); he took Jesus in his arms and praised God. (v 28) It was Simeon who was dismissed in peace according to God’s word. (v 29) It was Simeon’s eyes who saw God’s salvation (v 30), which He prepared in the presence of all peoples. (v 31) It was Simeon, who saw the Light of revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of God’s people Israel. (v 32) Sons of Issachar, you have gone through what Simeon went through. Now is the time to arise. Confess and testify your living faith to the Churches. Proceed as God has instructed you and bring into the present what the Lord already showed you to be a merciful future. Lead us as the Holy Spirit leads you. Chuck Pierce, I pass the microphone to you.

Presentation of the Lord 02 Feb 2014 Gospel: Luke 2:22-40
Malachi 3:1-4
3:1 See, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple. The messenger of the covenant in whom you delight–indeed, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.

3:2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap;

3:3 he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the descendants of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, until they present offerings to the LORD in righteousness.

3:4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years.

Psalm 84
84:1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts!

84:2 My soul longs, indeed it faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.

84:3 Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God.

84:4 Happy are those who live in your house, ever singing your praise. Selah

84:5 Happy are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.

84:6 As they go through the valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.

84:7 They go from strength to strength; the God of gods will be seen in Zion.

84:8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah

84:9 Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed.

84:10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness.

84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the LORD withhold from those who walk uprightly.

84:12 O LORD of hosts, happy is everyone who trusts in you.

Psalm 24:7-10
24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.

24:8 Who is the King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle.

24:9 Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.

24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah

Hebrews 2:14-18
2:14 Since, therefore, the children share flesh and blood, he himself likewise shared the same things, so that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

2:15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by the fear of death.

2:16 For it is clear that he did not come to help angels, but the descendants of Abraham.

2:17 Therefore he had to become like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make a sacrifice of atonement for the sins of the people.

2:18 Because he himself was tested by what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested.

Luke 2:22-40
2:22 When the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord

2:23 (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male shall be designated as holy to the Lord”),

2:24 and they offered a sacrifice according to what is stated in the law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”

2:25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; this man was righteous and devout, looking forward to the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit rested on him.

2:26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.

2:27 Guided by the Spirit, Simeon came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him what was customary under the law,

2:28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying,

2:29 “Master, now you are dismissing your servant in peace, according to your word;

2:30 for my eyes have seen your salvation,

2:31 which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,

2:32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.”

2:33 And the child’s father and mother were amazed at what was being said about him.

2:34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to his mother Mary, “This child is destined for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be opposed

2:35 so that the inner thoughts of many will be revealed–and a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

2:36 There was also a prophet, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years after her marriage,

2:37 then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped there with fasting and prayer night and day.

2:38 At that moment she came, and began to praise God and to speak about the child to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.

2:39 When they had finished everything required by the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.

2:40 The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him.

4 After Epiphany 02 Feb 2014 Gospel: Matthew 5:1-12
Micah 6:1-8
6:1 Hear what the LORD says: Rise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.

6:2 Hear, you mountains, the controversy of the LORD, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel.

6:3 “O my people, what have I done to you? In what have I wearied you? Answer me!

6:4 For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of slavery; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

6:5 O my people, remember now what King Balak of Moab devised, what Balaam son of Beor answered him, and what happened from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the saving acts of the LORD.”

6:6 “With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”

6:8 He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Psalm 15
15:1 O LORD, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill?

15:2 Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart;

15:3 who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors;

15:4 in whose eyes the wicked are despised, but who honor those who fear the LORD; who stand by their oath even to their hurt;

15:5 who do not lend money at interest, and do not take a bribe against the innocent. Those who do these things shall never be moved.

1 Corinthians 1:18-31
1:18 For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1:19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”

1:20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, God decided, through the foolishness of our proclamation, to save those who believe.

1:22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks desire wisdom,

1:23 but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

1:24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1:25 For God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.

1:26 Consider your own call, brothers and sisters: not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.

1:27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;

1:28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, things that are not, to reduce to nothing things that are,

1:29 so that no one might boast in the presence of God.

1:30 He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

1:31 in order that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Matthew 5:1-12
5:1 When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain; and after he sat down, his disciples came to him.

5:2 Then he began to speak, and taught them, saying:

5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:11 “Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

5:12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
