Kathryn Hauser’s Reflection for 02 After Christmas 05 January 2014
Anchoress Adrift
Pure Light is recognizable. Or is it?
John 1:9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.
Pure light, true light? Honest light?
Jesus came into the world, and He was the Light, yet the world did not know Him. (v 10) He came to what was His own and His own people did not accept Him. (v 11) Is a flower not truly beautiful when (and because) the brain recognizes what it is seeing? It is the beholder who sees and recognizes Beauty and not the flower. The flower just IS.
CS Lewis: “We want so much more—something the books on aesthetics take little notice of. But the poets and the mythologies know all about it. We do not want merely to see beauty, though, God knows, even that is bounty enough. We want something else which can hardly be put into words—to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it.” (From The Weight of Glory, 1949)
Lord, I don’t understand when You said, “Wisdom praises herself, and tells of her glory in the midst of her people.” (Sirach 24:1) Wisdom, like beauty, is illusive and is in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it? Sometimes I understand and other times I don’t. I do understand how Wisdom came forth from Your mouth (v 3), how she speaks to the assembly of the Most High (v 2), and her voice covered the earth like a mist. (v 3) I understand how Wisdom dwelt in the highest heavens and her throne was in a “pillar of cloud.” (v 4) There are times when I have felt her aloneness as she “compassed the vault of heaven and traversed the depths of the abyss.” (v 5) Sometimes I understand how she has “held sway” over every people and nations. (v 6) And sometimes I just feel like fainting as I sway, because wisdom feels so far away! Sometimes I have ah-ha moments where wisdom and understanding unite in anchored enlightenment, and I have sought a resting place (v 7) repeatedly, but in whose territory should I abide? (v 7) I am an Anchoress adrift. Look at my week. I’d say, “‘Nothin’ to write home about,’ but where’s ‘home’?” I am still actively seeking the reconciliation of the Churches and the prophets. And until that happens I will continue to have no home.
On Monday (30 Dec 13) I shared my Reflections blog with the highest Episcopal bishop in the United States (after having started from the bottom up in sharing with others first):
Dear Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori,
The directives I received with my calling in 2008 are to 1) Worship God and to 2) Share the Journey. My spiritual Reflections fulfill these directives and I share them with you. ~Kathryn Hauser

[I received silence. I realize it was the Christmas/New Year’s crush.]
On Tuesday (31 Dec 13) I shared it with Lance Wallnau on Facebook and added a prayer:
“…Please pray that our God of Breakthru will break through the glass ceiling this time. I am open to a different “door” (idea) if you have a suggestion. Somehow in this impossible mission the “house of my harvest” has to get the Gooood News. ~k”
Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 12:32 pm The Elijah List posted directly on Facebook:
“For most of you reading this…. the BREAKTHROUGHS you began to see in 2013…no matter HOW SMALL they seemed (or how huge they were)… are only a small foretaste…a small deposit by HOLY SPIRIT guaranteeing the inheritance you are about to walk in…in 2014 and beyond.
Begin to praise HIM for the deposit and it’s corresponding guarantee for you…that you have received in the breakthrough year of 2013…as “Breakthrough” is about to become, “BREAKOUT!!””
On Wednesday (01 Jan 14) Lance Wallnau said of the Lord:
“IN MANY PLACES YOU WILL NOT NEED TO DO MUCH DIFFERENT, [!] YET A NEW RESULT WILL BE ATTENDING YOUR LABORS. [!] I AM MAKING YOU A SHARPER INSTRUMENT TO THRESH MOUNTAINS [!]- SAYETH THE LORD!”
Wednesday, January 01, 2014 at 11:42 pm Lance Wallnau posted on Facebook:
ONE BIG word for this year…is..”NEW”…..there is something new even in the feel of if. Those things God spoke in the past that you gave up on are going to come back into your thought stream relentlessly….because its time to do them, When that happens it will be – new.
Heaven is going to wrap up some previous cycles and bring closure to the stops and resistance of the past. He will gather it in his fist and link much of it into the new thing He is doing.
Thursday, January 02, 2014 at 6:40 am Me to Lance:
Key phrase: “…because its time to DO THEM [!], When that happens it will be – new.”
Yep, absolutely true. The Bride-as-Remnant has come out of the Ordeal. (Rev 7:14) The world won’t know that until we practice what we’ve learned. Now THAT will be new!
Sirach 24:7 Among all these I sought a resting place; in whose territory should I abide?

24:8 “Then the Creator of all things gave me a command, and my Creator chose the place for my tent. He said, ‘Make your dwelling in Jacob [the Church], and in Israel receive your inheritance.’
24:12 I took root in an honored people, in the portion of the Lord, His heritage.

Friday, January 03, 2014 at 6 am (exactly) Me to Joey LeTourneau through the Elijah List on Facebook:
“Dear Joey, In your word you said, “We don’t need a title or recognition from others.”[ ] This statement is true in its naked form. However, how does a wife feel if she is never acknowledged for her contribution to the family? Isn’t acknowledgment of the good the next step in internalizing the fullness of God’s goodness? Beauty isn’t as much in the object we behold as in the eye of the beholder viewing what is deemed beautiful. ~k”

The ability to receive correction is essential to walking in truth. – Rick Joyner
Saturday, January 04, 2014 at 5:56 am Me to Rick Joyner via the Elijah List on Facebook (for they had posted Rick’s word on FB)
Dear Rick, you said: “Please also consider that as your peace and joy in the Lord becomes more pronounced, you will be asked more often what is the source of this. I Peter 3:15 tells us to, “sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you.” Your peace and joy will result in many salvations as these times unfold. Rehearse now how you will answer those who ask about the Source of your hope, your peace, and your joy.”
Just clarifying: So, are you saying that when we are at peace and joy in the Lord, we are in an anchored space to prepare our praises ahead of time? And when Jesus told us not to worry about what to say or how to say it (Mt 10:19), –for the Holy Spirit would be speaking through us (v 20) when we went before “governors and kings” to witness to them and to the Gentiles (v 18), –then that Peace now becomes the wisdom that gives us discernment as to when to rehearse and when not to prepare a defense? I just wanted to clarify since St Peter and Jesus gave different instructions (ie, rehearse, not rehearse) and readers may not understand why they gave seemingly contradictory advice. The spiritual energy of the crowds they were speaking to shaped what they said in the sense to either have freedom of speech “to give an account for the hope that is in you” or to completely step out of the way and let the Holy Spirit have free rein to steer the ship. Before “kings” is a hostile environment where being around a receptive person who wants to know is a completely different setting, energetically speaking. Therefore sometimes we are free to rehearse and other times we must be über-surrendered to the Holy Spirit to lead us through the spiritual landmines.
Happy New Year! ~k

Sunday January 5, 2014 at 3 am Doug Addison’s Prophetic word of the day: [THANK YOU!]
“The Heavens are opening quickly today. No laboring needed, just step into the flow of the Holy Spirit & watch what God does.” [Yipee! I’m trusting You, Lord!]
Sunday, January 05, 2014 at 6:05 am The Elijah List had posted Chuck Pierce’s word (“You Have Been Catapulted Into the Three Years Ahead!” 04 Jan 14) on Facebook, so I wrote him:
Dear Chuck, the Door (daleth) to reconciliation of the Churches and Prophets would be opened if we could meet face to face. I extend the invitation to you. You are welcome to come visit me in Camarillo, CA before or after your Prophetic Voice Conference in Pasadena. Or you are welcome to come now, rather than wait until the end of the month. I am opening a door of opportunity to you. ~k
So, here we are in the Present. Sigh. God, what’s a girl to do?
Lord Jesus, Your wisdom did enter the soul of Your servant, (Wisdom of Solomon 10:16), and I withstood “dread kings,” (v 16) while I wondered at their signs. YOU, God, have been marvelous and have given us many clear road markers, signs, wonders, and man made a mockery of them. Wisdom is supposed to open the mouths of those who were mute (v 21) and make the tongues of infants speak clearly. (v 21) I’m still waiting. I trust You, Lord, that You’ll make good on Your word. If an Anchoress falls in the forest and there’s no one to hear, does she make a sound? You said that You send out Your command to the earth and Your word runs swiftly. (Ps 147:15) And still I wait. Seven years of praying in my car. You are clear, Lord. Man is deaf and mute, hearing but never understanding, seeing but never perceiving. (Isa 6:8-10) How can we talk about what we cannot perceive and understand? What one perceives as beautiful another understands as a threat.
I know I’m a gifted writer. I tried to bypass perceptions and misunderstandings by going to the readership. (Much like Northern Ireland’s negotiations!) I tried the traditional publishing route. I tried the self-publishing route. When all that failed I asked God why He allowed this and He told me He was using me as an example to show others that (wo)man cannot “save” (her)himself. This is especially poignant in this divided self-reliant culture where the children of the Hard Work Ethic are those who work to save themselves from a fate worse than death: unworthiness [gasp!], and the children of Entitlement gorge themselves on the gifts of others and fill themselves greedily at another’s expense (for all that hard work has to be channeled somewhere!) And I know that I cannot cross that divide between the two. And the great irony is that there are publishers among both the Churches and the Prophets. Neither side has yet to budge. Neither side has yet to come alongside me and meet me face to face. I know I’ve kicked some serious religious butt. Have they forgiven me? I donno. We don’t talk about it. And I need all three of us to sit down at the table to talk. But then, I’m supposedly not supposed to express any neediness because that is a sign of weakness. Oy! What a tangled web we weave! God, only You my Creator, can give the command and choose the place for my “tent.” (Sirach 24:8) You promised You would spread Your “tent” over me:
Rev 7:15 And so they stand
before the throne of God
and worship Him in His temple
day and night.
The One who sits on the throne
will spread His tent [!]
over them.
I’m trusting You for tangible and real sanctuary.
Lord, I have done as You said:
Sirach 24:10 In the holy tent I ministered before Him, and so I was established in Zion.
I have kept to the two directives You gave me with my calling to 1) Worship God and 2) Share the journey.
You said, ‘Make your dwelling in Jacob [the Church], and in Israel receive your inheritance.’ (v 8) I did. And we did. And I’m still in my car. Is this really the inheritance You were talking about? Did You not say there was a real remnant of believers out there, believers who are like Jesus with skin on? Are there not believers who are comfortable in their new skin? Did You not say that the Church-as-Bride was the Holy City, the New Jerusalem? (Rev 21:2) Did You not say:
Sirach 24:11 Thus in the beloved city he gave me a resting place, and in Jerusalem was my domain.
The holy remnant is an honored people, rooted in a portion of the Lord, His heritage. (v 12) It is my desire to also root in them. (v 12) You promised:
Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in Him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;

1:14 this is the pledge of our inheritance toward redemption as God’s own people, to the praise of His glory.
Father, You commanded Jeremiah to say (and I join him):
“Save, O LORD, your people, the remnant of Israel.” (Jer 31:7)
You commanded Jeremiah to say to the coastlands (and I join him):
“He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd a flock.” (v 10)
Lord, You have already ransomed Jacob [the Church] (v 11) and You have already redeemed the Church (and me) from hands too strong for us. (v 11) You have already declared Your Word to Jacob [the Church] and given Your statutes and ordinances to Israel. (Ps 147:19) You have not dealt this way with any other nation for they do not know Your ordinances! (v 20) Praise the LORD! (v 20) The holy remnant believes You and has taken You into their lives. Since the Bride-as-Remnant has come out of the Ordeal (Rev 7:14) and we are made of Your atomic light, and we are carriers of Your Light, and bearers of the enLIGHTenment we have found in You (Jn 1:12), then are we not as stars, the seven stars of the Seven Churches? (Rev 1:20) When all is said and done the truth is in us.

02 After Christmas 05 January 2014 Gospel: John 1:1-18
Jeremiah 31:7-14
31:7 For thus says the LORD: Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and raise shouts for the chief of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say, “Save, O LORD, your people, the remnant of Israel.”

31:8 See, I am going to bring them from the land of the north, and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, those with child and those in labor, together; a great company, they shall return here.

31:9 With weeping they shall come, and with consolations I will lead them back, I will let them walk by brooks of water, in a straight path in which they shall not stumble; for I have become a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

31:10 Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare it in the coastlands far away; say, “He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd a flock.”

31:11 For the LORD has ransomed Jacob, and has redeemed him from hands too strong for him.

31:12 They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion, and they shall be radiant over the goodness of the LORD, over the grain, the wine, and the oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; their life shall become like a watered garden, and they shall never languish again.

31:13 Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.

31:14 I will give the priests their fill of fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my bounty, says the LORD.

Sirach 24:1-12
24:1 Wisdom praises herself, and tells of her glory in the midst of her people.

24:2 In the assembly of the Most High she opens her mouth, and in the presence of his hosts she tells of her glory:

24:3 “I came forth from the mouth of the Most High, and covered the earth like a mist.

24:4 I dwelt in the highest heavens, and my throne was in a pillar of cloud.

24:5 Alone I compassed the vault of heaven and traversed the depths of the abyss.

24:6 Over waves of the sea, over all the earth, and over every people and nation I have held sway.”

24:7 Among all these I sought a resting place; in whose territory should I abide?

24:8 “Then the Creator of all things gave me a command, and my Creator chose the place for my tent. He said, ‘Make your dwelling in Jacob, and in Israel receive your inheritance.’

24:9 Before the ages, in the beginning, he created me, and for all the ages I shall not cease to be.

24:10 In the holy tent I ministered before him, and so I was established in Zion.

24:11 Thus in the beloved city he gave me a resting place, and in Jerusalem was my domain.

24:12 I took root in an honored people, in the portion of the Lord, his heritage.

Psalm 147:12-20
147:12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

147:13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

147:14 He grants peace within your borders; he fills you with the finest of wheat.

147:15 He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

147:16 He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes.

147:17 He hurls down hail like crumbs– who can stand before his cold?

147:18 He sends out his word, and melts them; he makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.

147:19 He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and ordinances to Israel.

147:20 He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD!

Wisdom of Solomon 10:15-21
10:15 A holy people and blameless race wisdom delivered from a nation of oppressors,

10:16 She entered the soul of a servant of the Lord, and withstood dread kings with wonders and signs.

10:17 She gave to holy people the reward of their labors; she guided them along a marvelous way, and became a shelter to them by day, and a starry flame through the night.

10:18 She brought them over the Red Sea, and led them through deep waters;

10:19 but she drowned their enemies, and cast them up from the depth of the sea.

10:20 Therefore the righteous plundered the ungodly; they sang hymns, O Lord, to your holy name, and praised with one accord your defending hand;

20:21 for wisdom opened the mouths of those who were mute, and made the tongues of infants speak clearly.

Ephesians 1:3-14
1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,

1:4 just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love.

1:5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,

1:6 to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

1:8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight

1:9 he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,

1:10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

1:11 In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will,

1:12 so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory.

1:13 In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;

1:14 this is the pledge of our inheritance toward redemption as God’s own people, to the praise of his glory.

John 1:(1-9), 10-18
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:2 He was in the beginning with God.

1:3 All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being

1:4 in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.

1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

1:7 He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.

1:8 He himself was not the light, but he came to testify to the light.

1:9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

1:10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through him; yet the world did not know him.

1:11 He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him.

1:12 But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God,

1:13 who were born, not of blood or of the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God.

1:14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.

1:15 (John testified to him and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks ahead of me because he was before me.'”)

1:16 From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

1:17 The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

1:18 No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father’s heart, who has made him known.
